Note

I have a small shih tzu dog and wanted to ask what tears boys would do when introduced / puppy sitting? My puppy is very much my shadow so I think approval is a must have.

stayed a few good feet away from your puppy the first time he met them. artem is just a little unsure of how exactly to approach them. he nods when your dog makes eye contact with him, introducing himself rather formally, “hello. my name is artem wing, yn’s partner.”

you laugh, amused at how nervous he was. you place a comforting hand on his shoulder, “relax.” it takes a few minutes for him to be completely comfortable with your puppy. you leave the room to check on on the water you were boiling for tea to find him hesitantly petting your dog and muttering, “cute.”

he almost denies your request of watching your puppy while you ran some errands for a few hours, insisting that he be the one to do it for you and you stay with your pet. but artem knew that if he wanted to be in your life for as long as he could -- and he does -- he’d have to agree.

you come home to artem taking a nap on your couch, your puppy turned up beside him. you take a quick picture before waking him up, making it your phone’s wallpaper.

➶ luke pearce

chances are he’s thinking that you still have the same pet from when you were kids -- just older, and bigger. so imagine his surprise when he walks into your apartment to find a complete different puppy. he blinks back at the puppy for a few seconds before crouching down to pet them, “hey, you. name’s luke.”

it honestly surprises you how quick your puppy warms up to luke, but then again his sunny disposition makes it easier for him to interact with others. “i see the two of you are already close...” you trail off, teasing him a little. he gently nudges your shoulder with his, “don’t worry, i still love you more.”

accepts your request that he puppysit in a heartbeat, knowing that spending time with your puppy meant getting their approval. he’s aware that it would mean a lot to you if the two of them got along.

honestly, just down to vibe with whatever your dog wanted to do for the day. if they wanted to go to the park and play fetch, luke’s already grabbing their leash. if they wanted to stay at home, he keeps ‘em close by while he worked on cases.

➶ marius von hagen

literally jumped when your puppy started barking at him the second he walked in your apartment. he’s nervous, would you break up with him if he and the dog didn’t get along? he starts getting a little nervous but swallows it down, leaning down to whisper, “hi, please be good to me. i wanna be with yn for a long time, okay?”

he and your puppy have something in common in that they both love following you around. you send the two of them away to the living room so they don’t interrupt you while you cook lunch. marius’ laughter fills your apartment, letting you know that they were getting along well so it sends a smile to your face.

when you ask him to puppysit, he buys every single kind of dog toy and treat known to mankind -- maybe even a couple of cute little outfits. he really became an instagram dog dad, sending you cute pictures of your puppy every hour with little update : “they miss you! but i miss you more;)”

you come home to marius running around your apartment with your dog running after him -- really just the weirdest, sweetest sight.

➶ vyn richter

you bet that this overachieving dork does his research when you inform him that you’d be introducing him to your puppy. more than anyone, he understands the importance of animal companions and the roles that they play in our lives and happiness. so vyn over here really wants to make a good impression on you and your puppy.

really does everything by the book so while he was panicking slightly when your puppy was initially apprehensive, it’s no surprise that your puppy would eventually warm up to him. your puppy crawls over to his lap and it makes vyn smile, “i hope this means you approve of me, little one.”

when you ask him to watch your puppy for a few hours, guess what he does? that’s right, more research! vyn wants to surprise you so he ends up teaching your puppy a few tricks.

when you return to find your puppy doing a trick he’s never done before, vyn pulls you close to his side with a proud look on his face -- he really did it to approve that you could rely on him and this could be your little family.

tot men + fangs.

artem wing...

.... is pleasantly surprised to find that you have fangs! now, they're one of his favourite features of yours.

he's always been one to observe the people around him, and one day while he was making note of your habits, he was surprised to find that you had little fangs!

from then on, they've always caught his attention the first whenever he saw you. adores them so much, and thinks that they are one of your defining features.

would he like to have some fangs of his own? yes, yes, he absolutely would. always gets a variety of matching vampire couple costumes for halloween each year.

marius von hagen...

.... thinks that it's cute that you have fangs! he'd a pair his own when he was younger, so yours really make him happy.

he's noticed time and time again that one of your fangs peek out when you talk and smile, and it always brings a smile to his face, as they remind him of the ones he had in his youth!

calls you his favourite green snake (i know marius is someone who adores snakes, fight me-), and it makes his day better when he sees your fangs.

always tries to make you laugh as they peek out the most when you smile! does the most ridiculous of things to get you to giggle. vincent has had enough of his shenanigans (poor vincent... please give him a vacation soon).

would he like to have fangs of his? yes, obviously, he wants to match with his partner, and he kind of misses his own pair.

luke pearce...

.... has always known that you've had fangs, but they still manage to make him giddy all the same.

when he saw them for the first time when you were kids, he was blown away. he thought that you were really cool for having fangs (he still does) and wished really hard to get some of his own.

whenever he sees a fang that's peeking out, his heart performs a gymnastics routine. it's too much of cuteness for him to handle, he's just not built for this.

sometimes stops listening to what you're saying because he's staring at those cute little teeth and is lost in a trance. also pulls on your cheeks to see them better if he hasn't seen them all day.

would he like to ― this man will be going 'yes!' excitedly even before you can finish the question. he's adored them for a long time, and he's definitely the type to bring fake vampire fangs and then tell you that he's got fangs too (halloween is a mile away, luke).

vyn richter...

.... had noticed right away that you had fangs! he's also one to observe people a lot, and your fangs immediately caught his attention.

whenever you smile at him, he's screaming internally (he thinks that you're too cute for your own good). he's lucky that his resting face is there to save the day for him.

has a picture of you smiling widely as his wallpaper (actually, any picture that has ypu smiling and showing your fangs immediately steals his heart). gives you small things you like as gifts all day so he can see you smile and catch a peek of those fangs.

would he like to some of his own? vyn wouldn't really be that keen on wanting to have a pair of his own. he thinks that you look adorable with them, so he's content with seeing yours (he also thinks that he wouldn't look as good as you do with them, but we all know that it's a lie).

Thunderstorm Confession

warning: slightly suggestive. it's not too bad though. teen rating. minors read at your own discretion, i suppose. pairing: vyn x rosa word count: 1848 synopsis: a strong storm passes through stellis and cuts the power. while in the dark, vyn and rosa have a bit of a confession time. author's note: also i self-beta'd this so if there are any mistakes, please forgive me. it's already 1230am and i wanted to get this posted before i pass out. idk where this idea came from it just kind of happened and i couldn't stop.

“Dr. Richter..” Rosa reached forward in the darkness in hopes that she would find him. Her hands searched through the empty space in front of her as her eyes continued to adjust to the darkened room. The wind outside was beginning to pick up and the wind was pattering loudly on the windows. She only took slow steps through the room, trying to remain cautious to avoid running into any furniture in Dr. Richter’s home office. “Where did he go?” She muttered to herself.

As a flash of lightning gave brief relief from the darkness, the hairs on her arm raised up. “I’m right here..” His familiar voice sounded right beside her ear, his breath cascading down her nape.

With a gasp, Rosa came to a sudden halt. Next thing you know, his hand found hers and their fingers laced together. “My apologies. When the power cut off, I was just returning into the room. I had to be careful not to run into anything.” The thunder clapped soon after the lightning, but it still sounded distant.

“The storm must be making its way into Stellis right now. The forecast called for a strong severe thunderstorm tonight..” Rosa spoke quietly, her heart racing in her chest. She was trying not to focus on the fact that Dr. Richter has his hand wound around hers. She’s not sure why she still got nervous when he held her hand when they have been dating for nearly a year now.

“Where’s your phone?” He asked her.

“It’s somewhere on the table,” she answered as her eyebrows furrowed in curiosity. “Why?” She followed up.

“My phone’s dead. I had intended to charge it, but I forgot my charger at my office at the research center. If we can find your phone, we can turn on the flashlight.” Dr. Richter explained to her. “I don’t know if the flashlight in my desk has working batteries.. It’s been awhile since I’ve needed it.”

Oh, duh… Rose chastised herself in her head that she didn’t come to the realization sooner.

Dr. Richter tugs on her hand gently to proceed forward into the darkness. Their steps are slow and careful. What feels like a journey in the dark, they finally reached the table in the middle of the room. Dr. Richter’s grip left her hand and she nearly whimpered in detest. She leaned forward to feel around the surface of the table. Another flash streaks the room with bright light, the thunder following sounding a bit louder this time.

The table was cluttered with papers about their current case that they’re working on. Rosa couldn’t recall where she had placed her phone among the mess. “Ah..” She sucked in a sharp breath when she sliced her finger along the edge of one of the papers. Her hand retreated from the table and she sucked on the finger that began to sting, her tongue met with the taste of copper.

“Are you okay?” Dr. Richter asked beside her, his hands still rustling against the table in search of her cellphone.

“Y-Yeah..” She muttered against her finger. “Paper cut.”

“Found it!” Dr. Richter announced, his voice bouncing off the walls surrounding them. The room felt much larger in the dark than when it did when it was fully lit. “Here..” He pressed the screen of her phone so she would be able to see where it was. Rosa quickly released her finger from between her lips and snatched her phone from his hand. She didn’t want him to see that her wallpaper was a candid picture of him while he was teaching during one of his classes a few weeks ago.

“Th-Thank you!” Rosa quickly unlocked her phone and she turned on the flashlight, facing it down so she doesn’t over stimulate any of their eyes after being in the dark for nearly fifteen minutes now.

“Is there something on your phone that you don’t want me to see?” Vyn questioned her.

She didn’t have to look up to know that he was smirking. Rosa cursed in her head. Great, he saw it. “N-No! What would make you think that?” She asked defensively.

“You grabbed your phone with such haste. As if you didn’t want me to see the lovely picture that you have of me adorning your lock screen.” A small chuckle left his lips and it made Rosa want to disappear into the darkness of his office.

“Shut up..” She huffed under her breath.

“It’s endearing to know that you want to see me every time you pick up your phone. Do you like to gaze at it during random times of the day?” He egged her on, knowing how flustered it made her.

“If you continue to tease me about it, I’m going to change it!” Rosa snapped back at him, her cheeks burning with embarrassment.

“Darling, I wouldn’t want that. If it makes you feel better, I chose one of the loveliest pictures of you in that beautiful purple gown you wore at the banquet for my lock screen. Then when I unlock my phone, my home screen is one that’s for my eyes on--” Another flash of lightning.

Rosa stopped him right before he finished his sentence, bewildered by his sudden confession. “Wh-What?!” The thunder goes off again, making her flinch a little. Her ears were on fire at the thought of Dr. Richter using one of the pictures he took during one of their night escapades.

His suggestive laugh sends a shiver down Rosa’s back. She set her phone screen side down on the table so the light shined straight up, dimly illuminating the room. When she stole a glance at Vyn, she saw a small smirk playing on his lips, as if he was thinking of the aforementioned picture.

“D-Do you really have that kind of picture...of...me…?” Rosa nervously asked, her hands resting in her lap.

“Does it bother you?” Vyn asked beside her, his head turning to look at the side of her face.

“I-I don’t know..” She answered. She was very flattered, but very embarrassed. Rosa couldn’t imagine what people’s comments would be if they ended up catching a glimpse of it.

“I will change it if you are against it,” Vyn reassured her.

“Do people… Are people able to see it?” She swallowed thickly, wanting to know.

“The phone in question is my personal phone. I only use it when I am not in my place of business. Especially not while I am at the university. You do not have to worry about any wandering eyes seeing it. I mainly use it when I am home, at the NXX office, or out and about running errands.” Vyn explained to her, his voice calm.

She pressed her palms into her face. “I’m not sure if using it in public makes it any better, but I guess I’m relieved that none of your colleagues nor students would end up seeing it..” Her voice came out muffled, behind her hands.

Aside from the loud rain continuing to hit the window, her ears picked up on the sound of movement beside her, but she kept her hands pressed against her face. Within a second, she felt a tug on her wrists. She tried to resist, but Vyn’s thumbs rubbing against her skin, coaxed her to finally remove her hands.

In the dim lighting, Vyn’s eyes still gleamed a vibrant gold. Rosa felt like they pierced right through her. She peered at him curiously, her eyes searching his face. He offered her a polite smile before he released one of her wrists and moved his hand to tilt her head up by her chin. “I am sorry to have caught you off guard. I should have asked for your permission first. Just say the word and I will change it as soon as I get it charged.” His voice was stern, yet so soft and it sent Rosa’s heart rate soaring how considerate he was.

“I--I, uh.. Well…” She cleared her throat and shrugged her shoulders. “I suppose it’s okay…”

“You suppose?” His eyebrow raised ever so slightly.

“What I mean is,” she pauses, “I’m fine with it. I’m just surprised because I don’t recall you having it set as that before.” She finished her sentence off slowly.

“Oh, I just changed it actually. Probably like a week or so ago? It was from that one night you wore that very lacy black ensemble.” He leaned in to place a chaste kiss on the corner of her lips.

“Ah, I do remember you were quite fond of it,” Rosa recalled as a small smile formed on her lips.

“It’s definitely one of my favorites,” he replied before he claimed her lips in a gentle, yet hungry manner.

Her free hand moved up to place on his cheek, her fingers grazing against his soft skin. Vyn moved both of his hands to her waist to swiftly lift her up to sit Rosa on the edge of his desk. The papers rustle underneath, some of the corners poking into the flesh of her thighs. As Vyn was about to begin leaning forward to lay her back into the table, there’s a flash of lightning followed by a loud crash of thunder.

The two part from their kiss, breathing heavily. “The storm sounds like it is right above us.” Vyn whispered, his breath smelled of something sweet and floral, the essence of the white tea they shared before the power had shut off.

The storm sounds very loud and ferocious outside, the wind sounding like it could rip the roof right up. Rosa scooted closer to Vyn, her arms wrapping around his waist. He pulled her closer to his chest and circled his arms around her neck. The two embraced as they listened to the storm make its way down its projected path. The lightning continued to flicker light throughout the room, while the thunder vibrated the walls around them.

After almost an hour had passed, the outside noises began to calm down. Rosa and Vyn had moved to the small couch placed in his office, cuddled close to each other. “Hopefully the power comes back on soon…” But as soon as Vyn fell quiet, the lights in his office came on and the whirling sound of his computer sounded as it came back to life.

“Perfect timing,” Rosa mused with a small laugh. She blinked her eyes a few times to adjust back to the brightness of the lights in Vyn’s office.

“So it seems.”

The two didn’t move from their positions on the couch as they had gotten too comfortable. “I should have an extra charger in my bag. Go get it so you can finally charge your phone. I want to see the pictures you chose since you saw mine.” She poked at his side, eager to see what her boyfriend liked so much to want to display as his wallpaper for his eyes only.

“Yes, dear..” He let out a curt laugh before he got up to retrieve the charger.
