The Craft came out in 1996. Strangers With Candy started airing in 1999. I submit for the consideration of this august body that it is an undeniable and inexcusable shame that there was no episode of Strangers With Candy in which Jerri falls in with a group of high school witches. I can see it in my head, so clearly. We were robbed! Just imagine!
Jerri developing a powerful crush on the Big Titty Goth GF High Priestess of the Flatpoint High coven which leads her to try and join so she can “get a look at those….feminine mysteries”
Sarah Blank going off on a hysterical tirade: “I don’t care, Jerri, I won’t have any Tarot cards that were invented by filthy Gypsies in my house!!”
At a coven meeting Jerri drinks some ritual wine or a potion of some variety and gets all zonked out and starts dancing around with a snake wrapped around her
Mr. Noblet and Mr. Jellineck teaching material which focuses on fertility gods and their huge cocks
(sadly, while looking at the camera after being told she can’t go to tonight’s skyclad ritual because it’s for initiates only) “…..skyclad.”
Tammi Littlenut tries to be supportive of Jerri as she explores the world of witchcraft and the supernatural, believing that it is empowering, but Orlando is strongly opposed because those witches “are bad news, Jerri!”
Jerri gets really excited about flying ointment
Principal Blackman isn’t a member of the coven but tries to influence it in case it allows him to control the students of Flatpoint High through diabolic sorcery
I have no idea what Derrick would be doing through all of this but at one point he definitely tells Jerri that she looks like someone turned her into a toad
At the end of the episode Principal Blackman decides that messing around with witchcraft is pointless superstition and organizes an event in which the Big Titty Goth GF High Priestess is either burned at the stake or tied up and thrown into the pool to see if she floats
Jerri, of course, learns nothing
Robbed!
