Fans of L.E.G.I.O.N. assemble, I'm coming to you with an important question: Do you think Vril Dox Jr. loves Lyrl Dox?

I still yet have to solve the ever perplexing mystery surrounding Bart's VR companion Dox and L.E.G.I.O.N.

Bart's VR Companion to anyone who knows nothing about L.E.G.I.O.N. or LoSH might just be a silly friend-shaped little guy, but to those who are more well read see some math that doesn't really ever add up.

1.) The name "Dox" is DC is a red flag for the line of Brainiac, in the 30th century when Bart is born there are two known Doxes alive - Querl Dox Brainiac 5, and his mother Brainiac 4 (who abandoned Querl immediately after giving birth to him).

2.) The Emblem on "Dox" here is the L.E.G.I.O.N. insignia, Vril Dox II's interstellar Police Force that was established in the 20th century - how long this force is in service is unknown but some remnants of it do remain or iconography into the 30th century.

Bart's friendship with Dox the AI was something that took place solely in the 30th century while he was held in the EarthGov research facility, what L.E.G.I.O.N. has to do with EarthGov is something we can only speculate on.

There are many theories that we can come up with the explain all of these cues but none of them can be regarded as canon, and the more sensible explanation might just be it was an Easter Egg and NOTHING else.

Some theories I have come up with are as follows;

1.) By the 30th century L.E.G.I.O.N. and Earth eventually do come to a partnership and benefit from various technology being shared; technology like Vril's "Charisma Program" that he himself created.

2.) L.E.G.I.O.N. was part of security for the facility and Dox the AI was in fact an agent meant to keep Bart on track of various programs and may or may not have been an earnest friend.

3.) Dox the AI was just cobbled together with bits of information and no one really knew anything about L.E.G.I.O.N. or what the emblem meant. 4.) Dox the AI might be Brainiac 4 during her many, many adventures after abandoning Querl to feel. It would not be unrealistic that she tried plugging herself into VR with a VR persona under some sort of contract with President Thawne to nanny Bart. 5.) It's fucking Vril Jr's conscious kept alive in AI format, as this is something that Coluans have done to cheat death before (this is hilarious).

I spent too many hours trying to solve this mystery and unless I see Dezago at a con sometime and ASK him "WTF" it's going to remain a mystery.

Earth 134: Raising Arizona AU

Convenience store robber LOBO meets and remeets police officer GUY GARDNER while having his mugshot taken. After the end of one of his many stays in jail, LOBO proposes and the two are madly in love. The two desperately want a child but are unable to conceive or adopt. After seeing VRIL DOX and his slew of newborn BRAINIACS on TV, the two hatch a plan. They're going to kidnap.

Author's notes:

Guy's wardrobe is coming straight from the wardrobe of "Ed" McDunnough and Lobo's is directly from "Hi" McDunnough, with some small variations to make it fit the characters more.

Raising Arizona (1987) is probably one of my favorite Nic Cage movies and the cop/robber dynamic in the movie is a fun one to play around with for Guy and Lobo. I'm definitely due for a rewatch before casting the entire movie but Vril Dox II would be Nathan Arizona, Sr. with Lyrl Dox as Nathan Arizona, Jr. and the other Brainiacs filling in as the other four of the quints. Beyond that the only one I'm pretty sure on is Probert as bounty hunter Leonard Smalls.

This is one that I've done a few screenshot redraws of ages ago and I plan on finishing them up for one of my days during guylobo week!

i saw an ask talking about your favorite characterizations of querl and you mentioned something called New Krypton. what is that?

New Krypton is the arc that follows Superman: Brainiac, wherein the bottled city of Kandor is freed from Brainiac's ship and set up on the North Pole. It's mainly about the conflicts that arise when you plop an entire city's worth of quite xenophobic aliens onto a planet where they discover that they're pretty much gods.

The arc is 80+ issues and spans Superman, Action Comics, Supergirl, Adventure Comics and a selection of temporary titles. You can find a reading order of it here.

It, together with Superman: Brainiac, is probably one of my favourite events/crossover arcs in comics in general. The premise is interesting and it actually does something with it most of the time. Mon-El and Brainy are also heavily to moderately involved with the arc, and there's an issue in there that gives us a very intruiging look into what Brainy thinks about his family. Also the source of "Daddy Doxest", an all time Vril Dox Jr hit. Because the Sons of Brainiac arc in R.E.B.E.L.S is springboarded of this arc.

Hey, my name is Dray and Vril Dox II is my blorbo. This is a side blog I’m making for an au I want to make inspired by the LEGION and REBEL comics.

Progress will be slow, I’m still debating on rather I want this to be mostly written or if I want to make comics or a mix of both.

Here is the base plot:

Vril Dox senior has sold both his soul and his planet over to the Computer Tyrants. He is responsible for the fall of his planet and how did the Computer Tyrants repay him?

By letting him keep his mind, by letting him clone a son, and by giving him the duty of not only data collector and scientist but only the duty of reeducation. Reeducate the few who are potential problems to the Computer Tyrants.

At the Reeducation Center, Vril Dox jr seems like your average teachers pet, but inside him is a growing rage and resentment. He’s going to burn this place to the ground and he’s going to need the help of some unlikely people to do it.

Like... are they going to lead into this being perhaps a catalyst to Vril Dox II?? Williamson has mentioned he's read L.E.G.I.O.N. so he's definitely AWARE of Vril Jr. He knows he is a character that exists.

“And why is that?” Brainiac asked, leveling Winn with an unimpressed look.

“Because I just finished uploading a virus to your systems,” Winn said. “And it should take effect in three, two, one-”

I don't see why Vril Dox Jr. Is not more popular in the DC fandom. He is the exact type of vulnerable bad boy tumblr loves. He is a certified genius. He is canonically a child in an adult's body emotionally. And has major daddy issues. I love L.E.G.I.O.N.
