I'm gonna draw him properly at some point but for now i wanted to get the headshot down to get his vibe in my style. Wanted to draw this silly little guy since i finished reading Voyage Of The Damned by Frances White,,, He's such a guy. He's got that tragic past disease with a splash of his dad hates him in there, my type of protagonist. Did i mention he's canonically bisexual/pansexual? fun fact; he is! His boyfriend(s) make me so soft too,,,,

Percy

Everyone lost some weight on the big Argo II voyage due to stress and all the fighting and everything, Percy is no exception. 

In general, though, he is still leaner than Jason and has slightly less upper body/ pectoral strength than he does.

However, he has THE fucking core strength ever

Unless he's been really, really exerting himself he normally has a cushion of belly fat over his abs but if you feel his abs they're wow so strong

Also bunch of shoulder strength, he does lots of climbing

He honestly needs some squish especially in scenes set After Gaea’s defeat. One of the reasons im writing these hcs is that I hate the fanarts that give the demigods six or eight pack abs and 0 body fat like?? Have u ever seen a 16-17 year old boy with chiseled abs. Especially one that eats like mr Jackson. His mother is feeding him good on seven layer dip and cheeseburgers and cookies and blue candy and he drinks blue cherry Coke and eats his fill of barbecue every day at camp you Cannot tell me he has no body fat arrgggh

He probably looked like that while he was in Tartarus though bc he was probably really dehydrated and exhausted lmaoo

V good sense of balance and coordination

Jason

Jason’s got more strength in his arms/shoulders/upper body than anything else

Big arm and chest muscles

Also naturally has belly--when he's not worried abt food--but he tends to stand taller so you can't see it as much

Probably lost the most weight on the voyage. Too busy making sure everyone else was okay and also healing from his various injuries. He also had to be absolutely sure there was enough food for everyone else so he was worried abt taking too much

Generally spends more time exercising and has hardly ever seen a junk food in his life and eats a lot of protein bc hes always lived at camp jupiter so he's very muscle

Piper

Piper didn't really start exercising until she came to camp so she's probably the least physically strong in comparison

More squish than Annabeth. Carries fat in hips and thighs and belly

Thinks/feels like she's fat and low key worries abt it

Was only mildly disappointed when she started demigod training and her belly didn't instantly disappear lol

Kind of jealous of how Annabeth is so thin and athletic but Annabeth wishes she had Pipers thighs/boob/curves loll the curse of being a woman

Piper also feels like she has baby face compared to Annabeth bc she has chubbier cheeks and it annoys her

She's got a pretty good sense of balance tho

Pretty good at running fast but she doesn't have as much stamina as Annabeth

Shes quite flexible also

Pretty good swimmer

Annabeth

Naturally quite thin

been training her whole life so she's got strong arms and legs and core

Really good at running and sprinting

Very agile too

Core strength and upper body strength 

Great at dodging attacks, less good at blocking

Tallest of the girlies

Climber shoulders/back muscles

Wishes she had Piper’s curves kinda. She doesn't care all that much but occasionally is like damn wouldn't that be nice

Frank

Arrgh I hate how in the middle of the series Rick took away all of his fat. Screw you sir. Put it back. Put it bacK

So Frank Immediately gets his tum back in the span of a few weeks

He's also really tired for the next however long after the Mars boy magic adrenaline wears off bc where's his fuel??? Gone!!

Very good at Lifting stuff. He had to carry stuffs for his grandma all the time bc she was old

Mostly strong in the arms and chest/pectorals

His growth spurt happened real quick so he's still not used to how big he is which is why he's all clumsy

Needs to work on balance and coordination lol

Although he got most of his chub back, his Babyface™ didn't come back quite so strong

Hazel

Hazel is the shortest girlie

Was really thin back in the 40s and then gained quite a bit soon after she came back to life. She was very confused and probably horrified

This was bc of a combination of having a growth spurt, pressure on little girls to be thin back then and the times having changed now, having enough to eat now, and changes in the amounts of additives and high fructose corn syrup and shit in foods

She was really distraught for a while bc much like Nico’s internal conflict with The Gay, decades ago being chubby was an unforgivable sin for a little girl

Obv not to Nico’s extent bc I don't think people were killed for being fat but still

It takes her a while to see it as not a bad thing but just a thing

She has pretty evenly distributed muscle strength because when she started exercise at camp jupiter they worked All The Groups

Leo

We love our tiny little shrimp man

He didn't get enough to eat during his growth spurt so he's kind of stunted

Even though he's a hephaestus boy he could not for the life of him build a lot of muscle

He's not that strong

He's probably pretty flexible though

Nico

Also stunted because he didn't eat enough in his growth spurt

Pretty strong though

Smol but he is still growing

Is getting taller and will almost definitely surpass Leo

Also is slowly gaining a healthy amount of weight as he stays at camp and Will makes him eat and sleep more regularly and now he's less tired all the time

Pretty good core strength and balance and agility

Looks more his child age now that his cheeks are more filled in

Reyna

Buff Girl

Girlie works out when shes stressed and now she's got muscles like steel cables

Im talking arms, shoulders, core, legs, glutes

Can arm wrestle Jason and win even if he does try his darnedest

Incredible sprinter

Does so many squats that she got the whole bakery lol

Really likes her muscles

Flexes in the mirror

Jason expressed to her how impressive it was a few times and it was partially why she fell in love with him lol

Will

Will has pretty good arm muscles actually and can lift heavy stuffs

Can lift his bf easily

He has a soft tum tho and padding on his arms

Does yoga and stretching and that works his core

Soft

Eats good proteins and veggies and gets good sleeps

Healthy boi 10/10

I finished Chain of Thorns, and honestly, it was such a roller coaster.

***SPOILERS AHEAD - READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!!***

Initially, when James arrived in Paris I thought he would reveal the truth of the bracelet but he didn’t until so far in??? I was like,,, WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO SAY IT WHY IS EVERY DAMN CHARACTER AFRAID OF GETTING PITY WHY

Thomas’ POV never failed to make me laugh: they way he was judging himself was so relatable, and his internal monologue going, Petals of a flower? SHUT UP, THOMAS, but the best part was that he overcame it and became cOnFiDeNt which I was so happy for him

Alastair!!! Finally accepting himself! Realizing he’s a good person and deserves to be loved! Letting himself have Thomas! BEING SUCH A GREAT SIBLING TO ZACHARY ARASH CARSTAIRS OH MY GOD-

The way the thing with Matthew and alcohol was handled really made it three-dimensional, and how he told the truth to his parents, and how THERE WAS FINALLY THAT OLD LIGHT BACK IN HIS EYES

Speaking of Matthew, him going on a voyage for like a year to heal himself and appreciate the goodness with him knowing that he doesn’t need to be in a romantic relationship to be happy and feel deserving >>>

When Cordelia and Lucie fought (which I knew was inevitable), it was still a shock, and their harsh words made me wince so much ... until they solved their differences!!! and became good friends again!!! and how their parabatai bond was so holy that other parabatai came to visit them like yessss

Cordelia!!! Realizing that just because she’s Lilith’s paladin doesn’t mean she’s monstrous! Realizing that James does love her! Realizing Lucie loves her! I am in for her accepting how awesome she is! And with Cortana, like, she is a blazing goddess, damn

Lucie and Jesse’s relationship *chef’s kiss* like they are so supportive and kind to each other love it

James taking Jesse shopping with Anna >>> no kidding this was so wholesome

Grace’s redemption arc was handled beautifully, the best thing was her regretting her actions and trying to MAKE UP FOR THEM

I’m bringing this up last because, well, I really couldn’t handle it. Kit’s death was so unexpected, it hit me like the feeling of free-falling from the drop tower. So. Much. Pain. And he was helping Grace heal? Like why why why did Tatiana have to do that, I was screaming bloody murder. RIP Christopher, your soul is too pure for this world :’)

The epilogue had so many good vibes it made me smile :)))

And so many other things I could say, but then I might be here all day... (gosh I’ve already written an essay-)

Finally, regarding this journey: thank you all so much for introducing me to this series, talking to me about it, creating edits, fanfics, fanarts, theories, etc. It was great being on this ride with you.

Now I will let it go. I think it’ll be easier, because I have so much experience. But I know I can always come back to these books, to these wonderful characters, and relive the journey again.

W.I.P. Week — Day 1 (February 24): Your Oldest WIP 

So for my entry for the first day of W.I.P. week, after searching through several stacks of my old artwork, I finally settled upon just uploading this old unfinished sketch from late 2012/early 2013 of Red Link from the manga known as The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Plus* by Akira Himekawa. 

(*Side note: The story’s title was localized as just Four Swords when it was adapted into English, however, I do not like to call it by this name as it was really an oversight made by translators, given that it is actually a manga adaption of Four Swords Adventures and not Four Swords.)

I have also decided to answer the Bonus Question of each day along with my artwork, which I hope isn’t an issue with the @wipweek staff.

Bonus Question: What was your first fandom?

Hm...this is going to be a little difficult to state for sure, as I know I had at least a few “fandoms” even during my childhood that I was very much interested in, but if we’re talking about my first serious investment in a fandom beyond just childhood cartoons I liked to watch and toy lines I really enjoyed, I’d say it would definitely have to be Doctor Who.

I’ll probably share the full story another time, but the long and short of it is that, around 11 years and some odd number of months ago, I walked into a room in my house where a family member was watching Voyage of the Damned, and I sat down to watch, too, thinking it was actually a different show. Fast forward to today, and I’m still in the fandom and very much love the show (although I personally consider the series I loved to have ended after The Return of Doctor Mysterio and only watch re-runs of that and all episodes ones prior to it now.)

ANNNND I’M BACK! My next victim guest for today is @clyde-side​ , fanart from her fic Keep The Light Shining ! It’s not like I’ve done an animation before BUT she wrote ‘’dragon’’ and that hooked me to the story to draw it haha. Don’t get me wrong I have many others under my sleeve waiting.. Just you wait everyone JUST YOU WAIT. ANYWAY. Back on my track.So.. WAS IT WORTH THE WAIT @clyde-side​ ?! WAS IT?! DONT GET ME STARTED WHEN I SAW THAT COMMENT IN THE POST I WENT NUTS BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW LONG I HELD BACK TO NOT. SHOW. WIPS. OF THIS. And now it’s over. And now I’m relieved aahhh ye. Sorry I just held that in for so long aaaaahh. Can you guess the exact moment? Can you? >w> MAYBE! Who knows. BUT I WON’T BE DRAWING ANYTHING FROM THE FIC EVAH AGAIN UNTIL WE GET THE BOYS HAPPY ENDING. Or at least so I say...Will they end up happy? I hope, please dont tear my heart like canon did thank you. If they even get to kiss that would be wow but it’s not necessary! Of course I lie myself because I’m a blindshipper/puzzleshipper at heart forever.  Ok so this is second time drawing Slifer, first time drawn digitally. As always, a pain in the butt. That’s why you don’t see me drawing Slifer haha XD BUT DAMN this was...wow. Just..Wow. The scene just BLEW MY MIND OK? AND I STILL CAN’T DRAW HUMANS. I used refs as much as I could for the clothes and the hands...uuuhh the hand on the handler/ti..(forgot the word oops) is so bad and YES THAT’S MY EXCUSE BECAUSE HUMAN. And.. Yeah. How do you want to know I’ve re-read from chapter 3-7 over..5 or 6 times just to see the details for the pants and you never mentioned them and I was like ‘’WHERE’S THE PANTS?!?!?!?! TELL ME A COLOR OR ANYTHING PLS SAVE ME’’ so in the end I went with the raingear full yellow. You wrote ‘raingear’ so I searched raingear and the results gave me full on raingear sooo. Oh an the rubber boots. There’s some dirt on them but you probably can’t see due to the shade layer sorry.. Oh and yeah all else please no I will stop rambling about my own artwork that’s your job to do not mine XD

 Yeah.. Took me one week and 2 days BECAUSE the whole week I only drew the water and the body of Slifer and the eyes and the gem...The next 4 days (Saturday to today) were the REAL work. Call that MOOD. That’s all for today! Hope you like it though! I had lots of fun and frustration drawing this!
