Do you like polearms? I know I do. Halberds, bec-de-corbin, Bohemian Earspoon, voulges, all types of bills, guisarmes... I remember reading through the tables in the 1E AD&D PHB and being amazed that they all had different stats. Whatever.

Introducing The Menavlions, a band of rebels who spearheaded a rebellion against the Kingdom of Spades.
All are survivors of raids by the Spades Army and their Ace, and are taking care of refugees they have saved or escaped to them. They answer to no government and do not accept aid from the other Kingdoms, for they have a disdain for any form of royalty or authority due to their former experiences. They also have all donned new names, based on types of polearms.
(Detailed character explanations below the cut:)
Pike is the head the Menavlions, the one who started it all and considers themselves responsible for everyone else. Constantly angry, aggressive, and vengeful, but does show a soft side to his friends and the refugees. Having lost most of his family, he has become incredibly protective the Menavlion crew, people they now consider to be their new family, and he is more than willing to die for them. Trans male, he/him.
Fauchard, Pike's biological younger sibling, a youngin who's had aspirations to be a performer for the King and Queen, but ever since the latter's sudden reign of tyranny, and having one foot injured and ultimately amputated during their attempts of fleeing, those dreams were dashed and broken. But despite that, she is surprisingly optimistic and cheerful, serving as the light of inspiration and motivation for everyone else. But, she's no idiot. She simply believes that complaining about everything is not the way to go. Trans female, she/her.
Voulge, the self-titled rogue, has always excelled in sneaking about and knowing all the secret routes and hiding spots all over the kingdom, be they natural or self-made. Surprisingly (and disturbingly), they are very well-versed on human anatomy, especially weak points. They always act a bit devious and secretive, as if knowing more than they are letting on. Non-binary, they/them.
Sovnya, the tall towering wall of muscle, was a former soldier who joined because of a last minute change of heart. She actually had captured Pike, and was on the verge of killing him then and there, but after seeing his kept refugees, seeing starving children and elders, she felt a sudden flow of remorse, something she thought she had lost long ago. She's very quiet, almost mute, speaking only in short brief sentences. However, they almost always mean well, they just happen to be in a constant MASSIVE self conflict and doubt. She's also missing one arm after helping Pike and the others escape from Atrocitus. Has a Russian accent. She/her.
Corseque, a nervous wreck of a nurse who joined the cause after seeing too much pain and death, and thinking enough is enough. However, despite her medical expertise and knowledge, she is actually extremely squeamish to blood and gore, but what she couldn't stomach even less so was the suffering that happens around her. She has a fighting spirit, and is in a constant battle between her cowardice and her willpower. …sometimes though, you might find her having a breakdown… and even emptying the contents of her stomach from time to time in an unwilling vomit session. She/her.
Roncone, the Menavlion's spy, was, or is, a priest that tried to work for the King and Queen, but he seems to know something that the others don't, claiming it to be the reason behind his defiance to the monarchy. Powerless to do anything directly, he instead feeds crucial information to the Menavlions, be it plans for raids and attacks, the Ace of Spades' activity, or any civilians whose lives will be endangered and need saving. He/him.
Guisarme, an elderly man who's a skilled armorer, and once thought he was going to die then and there, but after being rescued by the Menavlions, he's since dedicated his life to their cause, and being a former blacksmith, he supplies them with much needed tools, weapons, and armor for any type of problem. He's a bit rustled at times, and may be hard to get the attention of due to his focus at work, sometimes resulting in a very startled response if pushed. He/him.
Trident, a fisherman who lost all of his beloved family, is the de facto chef for the rest of the group. Being rather jaded and traumatized from that whole ordeal, the food he makes tends to be bland and unenthusiastic, but no one can really complain as it's better than eating literally nothing but dirt and gravel. He sometimes apologizes for what he's made, but assures everyone that it's going to keep them going for a bit longer if need be. He/him.

As a result of a years old tumblr joke about trans lesbians and halberds, I have received a shirt as a gift from a friend that is just a long list of names of polearms on light blue. I own a halberd and recently bought a bardiche so I suppose I will just have to get every polearm on that list eventually.
I don't know how easy it's going to be to find a guisarme-voulge though.
#I do stage combat the weapons do get used#I do know where to get a voulge though it just definitely isn't a guisarme-voulge

The hostility many contemporary self-styled "old school" Dungeons & Dragons players have toward the idea of a game with clearly stated design goals is so weird to me because, like, D&D has historically been one of the most over-explained games on the planet.
Just from glancing over the books I happen to have within arm's reach at the time of this posting, the equipment chapter in the 2nd Edition Dungeon Master's Guide cold opens with an essay titled "A Short History of Commerce", which at one point digresses into a discussion of international currency exchange in the Byzantine Empire. The Monstrous Manual defines the words "sporophyte" and "gametophyte". The Player's Handbook devotes two solid pages to teaching the reader how to visually distinguish among eighteen kinds of polearms. Do you wanna know what the difference between a guisarme and a guisarme-voulge is? Too bad – you're gonna learn!
"Old school Dungeons & Dragons isn't supposed to lecture you about its design goals" yeah, tell me you started with 3rd Edition without telling me you started with 3rd Edition.

Seeing as we're assuming TT is basically dnd today, apparently, lets check the most important metric:
Does TT adequately differentiate between a glaive-guisarme and a guisarme-voulge?
(i'm assuming by tt you mean ft since I can't think what tt would be)
Sadly neither made it to the RAW weapons list. I hang my head in shame

Quiet, reserved and preferring the company of close associates. She is still expected to one day lead Menagerie and all of Faunuskind. A decision that she is also unaware of. Continents shattered, sea boiled over, even the very air turned against you, All courtesy of the Superweapon created by the SDC. Of course many tried to stop the war from happening and all failed, Even Jaune Schnee died trying to stop it. His dead however is proven to be the catalyst for the tragedy. After his death something broke inside of Weiss. Despaired and Enraged by her husband’s death. Weiss reorganized the Kingdom of Atlas into the Atlesian Empire and declared war on everyone. With Victor serving as her right hand man. Working under her Victor is responsible for many of the Empire’s victory and her atrocity. He himself is directly responsible for numerous warcrimes and even genocide against the Faunus. Victor is also credited for killing Ruby Rose and for capturing Blake. Back home in Atlas he was hailed as hero for this feats. It’s only until much later that he regretted his action. And came to hate his own mother so far as to wanting her dead. While she's the one that broke the world, he still blame himself for helping her doing it.

As the oldest of the 12 sibling, Aurum is also born the weakest among his siblings. Born prematurely many did not expect him to survive childhood. But he refused to give up. Motivated by stories of warriors of old and the story of his father. He continues pushing his limit. And to the surprise of everyone he not only survive past childhood but he actually starts growing taller and stronger compared to other children his age. So strong in fact that in the age of 15 he managed to kill a Dragon Grimm. By the age of 17 he joined the Arc Knights. And in the age 20 rose through the rank and become the youngest captain of the group. A rank that he still hold to this day. Despite his achievement however he still found himself lacking behind his father and he made a promise that he will surpass the Grandmaster, Jaune Arc himself.
Vermillion Rose-Arc.
???
Scarlett's older brother will finally make his true debut in the next fic. So till then just wait my lovely readers. You will be mildly surprised.
And if there's anything you want to ask just leave a message, I'll try to answer it as best as I can.

Let's make a dnd character together!
since we took Polearm Master and Sentinal (rip the DM) it's apparent our Character uses a polearm in their fighting style. there are a lot of sticks with sharp bits at the end of our world so I just picked a few here

Yes, it’s another female fighter constructed without reference by me in Procreate. Since I know nothing about weapons, I decided to do an image search for poleaxes, and then “designed” something between a voulge (?) and a halberd (?) for a weapon. Looks vicious, whatever it is.

Pg. 32: Himlamb Sidewinder's Venom
With the new age of adventure in full effect, the great western voyage to the New World constituted the arrival of new combat disciplines for adventurers and citizenry alike to adopt and master! By popular demand, the Higuri Regalia has amended their most prized clothing line to include these new jobs, with Viper taking the helm!
Adequately dubbing the set as "Himlamb Sidewinder's Venom", this frigid take on the traditional Viper habiliments is sleek and light in design, providing ample protection in vital areas without hindering the movement of the agile beast-hunting job. The large overcoat is secured by bands made from an alloy of silver and mythril, and splits into two wide tails bearing the appearance of fangs dripping with poison. Snakeskin-patterned boots are further protected by icicle-like protrusions which form shinguards, and the white leather vest is adorned with blue lines resembling veins.
The ensemble is further augment by teardrop-shaped studs trailing down the sleeves and decorating the pauldrons, giving off an image of venomous proportions
Resonating with the wearer's aether, this armor set provides the Viper with additional enhancements when weaving through the battlefield with their serpentine movements. Slithering to a target leaves behind a frozen afterimage as though molting from an old body, and Reawakening gives the user a periwinkle-and-lavender aura, bringing the powers of frost and poison together in a sinister embrace.
The twinfangs have been dubbed "Shenyue Dao" - which is Doman for "Icemoon Fangs". The design of these blades was directed by the Valide Sultan, who took inspiration from Far Eastern polearm users and decided to put a spin on the Nagxian weapon known as the Ngao. Made of pure Himvat Mythril, these curved twinfangs are bound to leave a statement whether in the dual-wielding stance of the same name, or in Viper stance, which forms the two blades into a double voulge. The blades' irradiance intensifies as the wielder gains Serpent's Coils, and when utilizing Uncoiled Wrath, the Shenyue Dao give off the dazzling spectacle of a massive snowflake-like blade shredding through the Viper's foes.
Hunting the tural vidraal can now be done in arctic style, as the Himlamb Sidewinder's Venom takes to the field, leaving a wake of gelid poison amidst an unrelenting dance of blades. Don this gear set and bring glory and pride to your hunter forebears while showing them the next generation of Power and Beauty!
