EVEN MORE SPOILERS FOR SEASON 6
I figured since I already read it, I'd give my thoughts on the recent interview Astruc and Thibaudeau took part in.
Due to incompatibility with the new animation engine, SAMG will not be working on the next seasons of ‘Miraculous’. The series is now being developed entirely in France, with the integration of Dwarf Animation.
Okay, props for no more outsourcing, even if I'm not sure what this means for the other ZAG shows.
Season 6 is considered to be “a new beginning”, aside from being a new story arc. It is sometimes referred to by the writers as Season 1.
I'm sure that isn't confusing to the executives at all. Also, maybe don't imply you're starting from scratch when you're already reusing the plot of the main villain using the Butterfly Miraculous.
The writing team already has concrete ideas for how Seasons 7, 8 and 9 will begin and end. They also have ambitions to make it to a Season 12, only if the support of viewers and executives allows them to do so. With this, they emphasize the fact that they would not continue with the show if it were no longer needed or interesting.
So basically, they're planning to keep this up for as long as they can until someone pulls the plug.
The opening of the sixth season is still undecided. They are still discussing whether they will change the musical arrangement or not. Thomas also considers the possibility of making a brand-new theme song. A song has been confirmed for S6. They have the music, the arrangement and a female singer. The character remains unknown.
Imagine how funny it would be if they brought back the woman who sang for Marinette in the movie instead of having Cristina Vee sing again.
Despite leaving Paris at the end of ‘Revolution’ (5x23), Chloé Bourgeois will return in Season 6.
youtube
Putting aside all the things I've said about her "damnation arc", what is even the point of bringing her back at this point? She has no powers, no influence, no allies, and isn't a threat of any kind. This makes her not being the next Hawkmoth make even less sense, becuse she has more of a reason to hate Ladybug than Lila does.
Also, with the news that Chloe is coming back, this means that she essentially escaped punishment or at least found a way to rebound like Lila did. So that's a grand total of ZERO villains who actually got punished for their actions after five seasons. I'm starting to think Ladybug and Cat Noir really suck at their jobs.
Sebastien Thibadeau: “[Cerise] (IOTA: I'm still calling her Lila for simplicity's sake) is a villain without costume. She is a villain all the time. There is a reason why, but this reason, neither I nor Astruc will reveal to you yet.” Interviewer: “You mean you already intend to tell it?” Thomas Astruc: “Yes. And you know what, we have already told it, but you haven’t noticed.”
Translation: Ladies and gentlemen, LET'S GET READY FOR RETCOOOOOONNNNS!
Seriously, we are approaching the sixth season of this show. It has been eight years since Lila first appeared all the way back in "Volpina", and we still know nothing about her other than the fact that she has some three moms for some reason. You can't pull the whole "This is something you need to rewatch to understand!" excuse because the last two seasons hinged on breaking the rules about Sentimonsters.
Speaking of, I love how this comment about Lila accidentally implies that Gabriel never did anything evil when he wasn't Hawkmoth/Shadowmoth/Monarch. All that emotional abuse and isolation Adrien suffered was all out of love!
Thomas Astruc on Chloe redemption arc: “We put the characters in situations, and then we say to ourselves: “what would be the logic?” How would the character logically react in “such and such” a situation? And we tried, we tried everything. But every time, we say to ourselves: “if we write this, it’ll be wrong”. There’ll be no reason, it’ll come out of nowhere, the fact that she’ll face something nice and say: “Oh, I’ve been horrible, Marinette what have I done! From now on, I’ll be...” No, nonsense. I understand people’s desire for Chloe to be nice. I’d like that too. But I’d like it if in real life, people with a lot of power suddenly started doing nice things. But Chloé has no interest in changing. She has no reason to change, unfortunately.”
Ah, yes because Gabriel (Global terrorist and abusive parent), Felix (Betrayed Ladybug and temporarily wiped out all of humanity on a whim), Nathalie (Willing accomplice to Gabriel) Andre (corrupt politician and Chloe's primary enabler), Sabrina (Willing accomplice to Chloe) all had compelling reasons to change their ways.
Also, "I've been horrible, what have I done?"
MY BROTHER IN CHRIST, THAT'S HOW VIRTUALLY EVERY REDEMPTION ON THIS SHOW IS EXECUTED.
The fact that he's seriously acting like he actually wanted to write a redemption arc is insulting. Not only does it ignore all the things he's said to fans who were upset at the turn of events, but it makes no sense for him to take this stance because he's a writer. If Chloe turning a new leaf is too strange of an idea, then write an actual character arc allowing her to progress to a state where she recognizes what she's done is wrong. You control the character for God's sake! It's not like you're training a dog to stop humping the couch. You can change things to make a redemption arc possible.
In other words, Astruc is either lying to save his ass, or THIS IS WHAT THOMAS ASTRUC ACTUALLY BELIEVES about writing characters.
Sebastien Thibadeau talks about Andre's character development: In contrast to Chloe, “Andre Bourgeois evolved as a character because we had already imagined a back story. He had the potential to change, and that’s where the beautiful scene comes from — I think it’s magnificent — between Gabriel and himself on the roof of the Grand Palace, where he says: “But Gabriel, what’s become of us? We’ve forgotten the kids we used to be”. But we [writers] know what kids they used to be, and we’d like to tell the story one day, to show what young kids they were, when they were struggling through Paris and weren’t yet what you’ve come to know in the series. He’s sad about what’s happening to his daughter [Chloe], and he’s trying to change it, but he can’t. He is proof that a character can change.”
This. This right here is what cinched it for me. I've tried for years not to say it because it's a word that has been flung around a lot over these last few years, but I feel like this little snippet is enough of a reason for me to say it.
These writers are sexist.
They may not believe it, but whether they intended for it or not, they wrote a story arc where a grown man was shown to have more sympathetic qualities than his daughter. How the hell can you defend it in a way that doesn't highlight the misogyny that this show runs on?
The fact that they gush over how much "potential" Andre had right after saying how that same kind of potential wasn't enough of a reason to attempt a redemption arc with Chloe really shows how confusing their priorities are. I'm sorry to keep saying this, but for a show that takes a heavy anti-capitalist philosophy, it seems like the members of the 1% are the characters who get the most depth and sympathy... unless you're under 18 and lack a Y chromosome, that is.
A meeting will be set up in the coming weeks to decide on whether or not to make a live-action for ‘Miraculous’, Thomas Astruc reveals.
As a former Arrowverse fan, I'm willing to see this out. Not only did the Netflix One Piece series prove you can make an animated property work in live-action, Ladybug & Cat Noir: The Movie managed to do really well even without the usual writers behind it.
Thomas when asked about Gabriel’s wish in ‘Re-Creation’ (5x26) and whether he brought Emilie back to life: “All the answers are in the episode.”
For the love of--STOP SAYING THAT!
You keep claiming that we just need to rewatch the episode to understand things, but between the continuity errors and abandoned subplots, it's hard to tell what's important and what isn't. Either say "No comment" or give us an honest answer.
If people are still confused about how the season ended after almost a year, and you keep giving answers like this:
Maybe you need to change the way you tell the story.
Astruc when asked about ‘The Supreme’: “Oh, if only you knew... Nothing we do is meaningless.”
Sebastien Thibadeau on Season 7: “Once you’ve seen the start of season 7, I can swear you’ll watch season 6 a second time. That’s all I can say.”
Because it'll make Season 6 look like a masterpiece by comparison?
Thomas Astruc on the worldbuilding: There are Kwamis and Renlings, what makes you think there aren’t others [creatures]?
I swear, by the time we get to Season 10, we're going to get stuff like aliens, demons and talking mushrooms, or at least something ludicrous like that.
Zoe had a love at first sight when she met Marinette in ‘Sole Crusher’ (4x07), they confirm.
Of course! That's why it wasn't framed any differently from something like the umbrella scene and Zoe showed absolutely no signs of attraction to Marinette! It's genius!
Executives had Thomas write several alternative concepts for ‘Miraculous’, very different from what we know today or even the early PV. Among them, “a concept where Ladybug is the head of a group of superheroines, like Sailor Moon. There was no love story.”
Can you imagine a world without the Love Square?
The script writers’ favorite episode is ‘Simpleman’ (4x19) as it represents a personal, work and family attachment. Marinette’s grandfather, Roland Dupain, is inspired by Thomas Astruc’s grandfather.
Okay, either Astruc had a complicated relationship with his grandpa or he's been dead for years. While I understand that older generations have outdated views (for example, my great-grandmother yelled at me for saying I wanted to learn Japanese because "They tried to kill us!"), the fact that a caricture of a grumpy old man was based on his grandpa is a little concerning.
Also, between this and Sabine being based off an old flame of his, this only makes the theory that Chloe is based off a real person Astruc knew more plausible.
Astruc: “This is why our work is so difficult. We have to manage to bring in this generation of younger ones, and at the same time, we have to satisfy the generation that was here before and that grows with the series.”
First, if you're trying to please older fans, maybe don't get into fights with them on Twitter.
Second, you made a thread after "Simpleman" aired where you insulted fans for not getting the "meta" element to the episode and compared them to the character you just said was based on your grandfather.
You've also been burning away a lot of the older fans' goodwill over the years. Trust me, I have a few examples.
Despite sharing a similar appearance, the symbol on Nino’s T-shirt is not related to Hack-San.
Okay, is this a fan theory I missed back when Season 4 was airing? Why would anyone draw that conclusion?
Thomas Astruc talks about Season 6: “I’ll say it sincerely, I was very doubtful at the end of Season 5. I said to myself: “if we were to continue, how would we exceed?” Well, we did. It’s been a great season. The new writers have brought us a lot of great stuff. All the episodes we’ve written in Season 6 are fabulous. Each episode is on point, there is no unnecessary lines. All the scenes are really interesting, really well-crafted.”
Translation: Tons of filler, bad comedy, reused Akumas, and more Love Square drama that we're trying to claim hasn't been done before.
Thomas when asked if Marinette will get akumatized: “We never give any information about what may or may not happen.”
JUST. SAY. NO. COMMENT.
There are many important details throughout the series that no one has noticed. Thomas says that when we see the next seasons, we’ll think, “Oh, the writers had it all planned.”
You know, like how Season 3 established that Sentimonsters can be sent out of control by Cataclysm a few episodes before Adrien, a Sentimonster, gets hit by a Cataclysm and is affected in a different way. It was all planned from the beginning.
The Ladybug PV was an animation test and was not intended to be public. Jeremy Zag decided to leak it himself.
Honestly? Dick move on Zag's part. You have to wonder how pissed off Astruc was.
According to Thomas Astruc, what the ‘Miraculous’ series is today represents only 5% of what he wrote in the original bible he presented to Jeremy Zag. “The universe has evolved a lot since. I don’t know if the ideas I put there will be reused someday. It was very extensive.”
Thomas Astruc and Sebastien Thibadeau discuss the parallels between Marinette and Gabriel: Astruc: “Gabriel’s personal back story is the cause of his misery, not his will. And above all, it creates a beautiful mirror with Marinette, which is what’s interesting. They both have a lot of love for Adrien, they’re both designers, they both have a Miraculous, but it’s other choices.” Thibadeau: “That’s what makes it a great hero-villain contrast. Even if they don’t know it from the start, they have a real point in common. As we see at the end of Season 5, they both love Adrien. Except there’s one who does it by doing the right thing, and then there’s another who does it by doing the wrong thing, hurting people, to get there.”
And the one who did the wrong thing by hurting people ended up winning. What does that say about the contrast?
------------------------------------------------------------------
And that's it for the interview. I have to say Season 6 does not look pretty so far.

I went and did a lil reviewing and its very interesting to look at Lila's situation regarding Catalyst and there's some fun observations to make in a vacuum.
1: This girls room has tons of masks.
I know that isn't a major thing but given what we know of her its like, "So you just wanna shout that you have a complicated relationship with identity is that it?!"
2: Her mom does work at the embassy
On the surface she seems nice enough if maybe very busy given she says she'll "Try" and be back before dinner. One can take Lila growling once she's gone as directed at Ladybug or her mother, or both.
But the dynamic also feels 'weird' & Lila's clearly used to instantly masking whatever she's actually feeling around her.
Assuming a "No child is born super evil" read, I'd say that either she is like Andre in that she can performatively show affection. But is not actually there for their child when they need it. In this case likely having failed Lila at some major interval that left a deep divide.
Or that she's one of those parents who can seem very nice and reasonable but if angered or offended or disgusted react very, very badly. I'd actually say this one feels the most likely given it would contextualize Lila's deceptive habits very neatly.
3: How much did she know?
The question of if Lila was "In on it" or a willing participant in the scheme is interesting. Cos its obvious she didn't know Gabriel's identity. But more to the point, thats he clearly wasn't even expecting Hawk Moth to come for her given she was surprised.
Like there is no one to be performing for here, that is genuine shock.
However, we all see her smirking after Hawk Moth has the Akuma leave her. But its worth noting she wasn't purified, the Butterfly just left. So while its obviously a headcanon I do feel the shift from shock and panic to stoic confidence is weird enough to thin it could mean more than just Lila is the devil.
Also is it just me or do her eyes seem more lifeless?
We do have Gabriel's dialogue to go off:
Hawk Moth: Fly away, my little akuma and evilize the one who's been waiting your return for so long.
But we've also seen him call Chloe his favorite "Victim" and its not exactly uncommon for people taking advantage of others to frame their victim as a willing participant.
With that in mind!
4: Oh they were 100% grooming Lila, yikes
So, we know from season 3 that Gabriel & Nathalie were fine undermining Chloe's mental health to the point of sabotage, gaslighting and hostage taking.
Thus it is perhaps no surprise they were doing the same with Lila.
Don't believe me? They have literal cameras on a fourteen year old and have clearly been keeping her under observation in their own words, for months!
Nathalie: (Hands Gabriel her tablet) Lila has been harboring her rage against Ladybug for months, and today wherever she looks, she'll see the object of her hatred, and as predicted, her anger will reach devastating heights. Your plan is perfect, sir.
But more pointedly is what is not said, or more, what is talked around, see this exchange:
Lila: (scrolls through laptop) Liar! Traitor! Coward! (comes across an interview with Gabriel Agreste and Nadja Chamack) Gabriel: (on the laptop) In honor of the wonderful Ladybug who has saved my son Adrien and myself, and who relentlessly protects all of us everyday, I have financed this tribute to Ladybug. Because Ladybug is the only true hero unlike her mediocre imitations, such as Volpina. Lila: (screams with rage and throws her laptop against a wall) I hate you, Ladybug!
Cue laptop against wall and then crying on the floor, again there is no one to perform for here, this has to be a genuine reaction.
What stands out to me is Lila's choice of words: Liar! Traitor! Coward!
If she was just angry he praised Ladybug & insulted Volpina these words don't make any sense. But they make a ton of sense if Gabriel or someone representing her contacted Lila about her time as Volpina.
(It does not seem Paris is aware she was an Akuma)
Likely telling her about Heroes' Day or otherwise framing themselves as very interested and impressed with Volpina saving Paris from that meteor. Only so they could have Gabriel twist the knife in on an interview.
Conclusion:
That's just an assumption but if not, why not call Gabriel a jerk and a fool or something, traitor and coward have very specific connotations that don't make sense unless she'd been led to believe Gabriel thought highly of Volpina,
Hell, how would they even know she'd find the interview unless she knew to look for it?
Yes yes, story contrivances, but if we want to base out logic in universe, Nathalie & Gabriel preyed again on an isolated and to one degree or another neglected as well as troubled child. Fed into her many issues, likely helping foster her isolation & resentments, just to betray and humiliate her for the purpose of using her as a weapon.
That is deeply fucked up, especially when you consider that they were spying on her and she has no idea any of this is happening!
All in all, I think its quite reasonable to read Lila as a fourteen year old taken advantage of and steadily warped by adults' who were using her for their own gain as opposed to someone just born evil.

Something something about Zoe admitting that she used to lie to make a friend's and end up losing them because of it.
Where do I ever hear of it?
Oh, right! Lila!
Before Chameleon Lila is just simply a liar, even Adrien(?) reasoned maybe it's because she want to fit in.
Funny how Marinette end up antagonize her while welcoming Zoe heartily and the only difference between them is only one of them has a crush on Adrien. Guess which one that Marinette made enemies of?
I agree that Zoe's backstory is similar to Lila's canon story, but you haven't given a fair assessment of the differences in their introductory episodes. It's not even necessarily fair to call them the same character. Zoe's lying is presented as her acting different to try to fit in. She's not telling major lies about her life to make herself stand out. The worst we get is stuff like this:
Chloé: (closes the door) Since your father isn't here, you'll use mine! If you become my sister, of course. Rule number two: you need a minion. Where's yours? Zoé: Uhhh, I left them…in New York!
Which is still enough to understandably turn someone off to Zoe, but it doesn't make her a Lila clone. Let's look at why that is.
Lila's intro has her actively coming up with very extreme lies that aren't about fitting it. They're about making her stand out! She doesn't want to be part of the crowd. She wants to be worshiped. Here are some quotes from the start of Volpina to give the flavor of lies we see from Lila:
Rose: Can you believe Lila knows Prince Ali? She even flew in his private jet with him! Chloé: Why did Jagged Stone write a song about Lila when he could've written it about me? Nino: Lila knows all of the Hollywood directors. She promised she'd mention me to Steven Basielberg himself! Marinette: (rushes back to Alya's side) Lila? Alya: Yeah, she just started at our school! (points to Lila, who's on the second floor of the school with Adrien) She even gave me an exclusive interview for the Ladyblog, 'cause Ladybug saved her life once! Watch! (shows Marinette the video of Lila on her blog)
It's worth noting that this exchange makes Marinette feel jealous and threatened, but she doesn't hate Lila. She's just afraid that Adrien will fall for the cool new girl. This leads her to follow Lila and Adrien into the school library where we get this:
Lila: So you've got a little soft spot for the bug, huh? Adrien: Me? Oh, no! Not at all! (The book cart moves closer to them, but is unnoticed.) Lila: You know I actually happen to be very close friends with Ladybug. (Adrien and Marinette both gasp.) Adrien: Really?!
This is where Marinette's hatred comes from and it's justified. This scene would play the exact same way no matter who Lila was talking to. Someone is using Marinette's name to get close to people. That would upset most of us. We also get this moment at the end of that same scene:
Adrien:(gets an alert from his phone) I gotta go! I've got a lesson in 58 seconds. (Lila causes Adrien to drop his bag on the floor) Lila: So, the park? (pushes the superhero book on the floor away from Adrien's bag with her foot) Adrien: Uh sure! (runs out) Lila:(picks up the book) A vixen superheroine? Hmm, interesting... (leaves the library) Tikki: Marinette! Marinette: I know. I gotta talk to Adrien before he meets up with Lila in the park. He needs to know that she's a total thief.
Once again, Marinette's feelings are extremely justified. Lila stole Adrien's book and will go on to toss it in the trash, showing that she never meant to return it, probably to avoid the risk of him thinking that she took it. These are two incredibly negative things for someone to witness and they're basically Marinette's first impression of Lila! Meanwhile, this was Marinette and Zoe's first interaction:
Marinette: Sorry I got held up here!(bumps into Zoé) Sabine: Is everyone all right? Marinette: Sorry, sorry, sorry! Zoé: It's totally okay, but maybe I should be asking if you're okay. That was quite a fall!
Very different. Not enough to justify Marinette trusting Zoe, but Marinette's hatred of Chloe combined with this initial good first impression are arguably enough for Marinette to be willing to hear Zoe out and give her a chance to prove herself. It's easy to be rude to service workers and Zoe wasn't, so I can see why Marinette would believe that Zoe isn't a manipulative monster especially since Zoe does apologize and promise to explain herself pretty quickly after the scene where she's rude to Marinette and Co:
(Zoé, sitting at the end of Chloé's bed, gets a text message as Chloé continues to search for shoes. She sees it is a message from Marinette, and reads.) Marinette: (voiceover) I can tell something is keeping you from being yourself. If it's Chloé, we can talk about it tonight, if you want. You're still welcome to come to the Barge. (Zoé texts Marinette back.) Zoé: (internal voiceover as she types) Sorry. I'll explain tonight. (sends the message, Marinette's picture and name pops up as she does)
It would be better if Zoe instigated this text exchange, but I don't hate this scene. I just think it's rushed and that Marinette should come across as more cautious about Zoe after everything that happened at the end of the last season. Marinette's actions here and conviction about her initial judgement of Zoe would make a lot more sense if they came in an earlier season, but this is a formula show, so that's probably playing a part in the awkwardness. Marinette isn't allowed to become more guarded, I guess...
If we go back to looking at Volpina, we find a very different type of story. After Marinette's terrible first impression of Lila, she watches the aforementioned Ladyblog interview off screen and gains even more reasons for her to be justifiably pissed at Lila, further cementing that bad first impression:
Ladybug: (sarcastically) Well hey Lila! How's it going? Long time no see. I saw your interview on the Ladyblog, awesome job. (puts her foot on the bench between Lila and Adrien, and leans closer to Lila) Oh sure! I remember our instant connection when I saved your life and we've been really good friends ever since! Practically BFF's! Uh actually, when did I save your life again, Lila? I don't recall. Oh yes! Of course, now I remember. Never! And we're not friends either! (to Adrien) Miss Show-Off here was trying to impress you and everyone around her.
We learn here that Lila didn't just claim that she was saved by Ladybug, which is honestly a pretty minor lie. Instead, she's once again claiming that they're close friends! Take out the Adrien complication and Marinette would still quickly start to hate Lila because Lila is using her name left and right and that's not okay! It's also not a minor thing.
The show is a little unclear about how seriously society takes the Ladyblog, but it's serious enough for Alya to be treated as an authority who is invited on talk shows as we saw in Prime Queen
Nadja: Don't be bemused, it's just the news! Hi, I'm Nadja Chamack, and this is Side by Side. Today, I'm joined by Alya Césiare, who created the Ladyblog! Together, we'll be looking back over Cat Noir and Ladybug's greatest feats.
The Ladyblog is also the resource that Felix uses to research the miraculous. So it's fair to say that the Ladyblog is not an unknown news source. At the very least, it's being treated as a true authority on all things Ladybug and Alya is getting serious public attention, which means that Lila's little interview is probably going to be treated seriously by a significant portion of society since it's coming from the Ladyblog.
Ladybug would be well within her rights to have Alya publish a retraction. In fact, it's super weird that Ladybug didn't do that and is one of the many reasons why I hate Volpina. The episode completely justifies almost everything Marinette does and then tries to present her actions as being in the wrong by having Adrien chastise her:
Adrien:(to Lila, who is crying) So I guess you aren't the descendant of a superhero either? Ladybug: She's more like a super liar. Lila: How dare you?! Adrien: Wait! Lila! (Lila runs away) Hey, what was that all about? Uh, I mean, weren't you kinda harsh with her? Ladybug: I...I don't put up with lies, especially when they're about me. (yo-yos away)
Which does eventually lead to Ladybug apologizing to Lila:
Ladybug: I... totally overreacted and... never should've spoken to you like that. I'm sorry.
No you didn't overreact! Writers, why are you telling kids that it's wrong to confront people who are lying about you? How should the Lila problem have been addressed if confronting her is wrong? It's not like she stops lying after this or like the show treats her as a minor threat. She's literally the new main villain and her eventual outing to the class is way more dramatic than this, so how was Marinette in the wrong here? Why did the writers have Adrien chastise her?
I've seen people justify Adrien's reaction here as him viewing Lila like a gossip rag spreading lies. To be fair, that's a valid way to make his actions make sense. The best course of action for the lies in those things IS to ignore them because no one with a brain is going to treat a gossip rag as a credible source.
However, the Ladyblog is not treated like a gossip rag and Lila wasn't just spreading rumors for quick cash. She was actively manipulating Adrien and has claimed authority via a reputable news outlet. The appropriate response to that kind of misinformation IS a retraction. It IS appropriate for Ladybug to do something here. If anything, Ladybug was being quite tame! She had a mostly private confrontation with Lila and then let the matter died for some reason. If it were me, I'd be telling the world that I don't know this woman and to not believe a word she says!
If anyone should have learned a lesson in this episode, it's Adrien. He needed to learn the difference between gossip rag lies and lies that you actually need to address, which is frankly a good lesson for a sheltered teen celebrity to learn! It makes sense that he wouldn't know what to do here, but the show treats this as him being in the right and I hate it! Him guilting Ladybug into staying quiet is why Lila is able to maintain her power for 4 more seasons.
Alya could also stand to learn a lesson on checking her sources. It's not like she never runs into Ladybug. Just hold off on posting the interview for a few days.
Circling back to the original ask: if Lila was telling the kind of minor lies that we see from Zoe, then I'd agree that this was a case of hypocrisy, but that's not what we see. It's also why I never really bought the whole, "Lila is just tying to fit in" excuse. Those are not the sort of lies you tell if you're trying to fit in! They're way too extreme!
While I'm not a fan of Zoe's character, her initial lies match the story she tells about wanting to fit in. Lila, on the other hand, feels like someone with an agenda. What that agenda is I do not know, but she clearly has one and she's had it from day one. It's really not weird that Marinette came to hate Lila while she was willing to give Zoe a second chance. The characters were set up in a way where that is an understandable response for her character even if you remove Adrien from the equation.
There are many episodes that make Marinette look terrible. Neither of these make that list. The only questionable thing Marinette does is follow Adrien and Lila into a public library and listen in on their conversation. I'm not going to call that good behavior, but it's hard to be too critical when it's clearly only there because the writers needed Marinette to overhear the lies to kick off the rest of the episode. I personally would have just had Marinette be in the library already and accidentally overhear her alter ego's name, leading her to listen in, but that's not drastically different than what we actually got so it's hard for me to get too worked up over the writers going the dramatic route. That's what they always do. The show relies heavily on absurdity so it make sense for Marinette overhearing the conversation to be done in the most absurd way possible.

Fun challenge idea: You have to make a 26 episode season of ML using the episodes from all 5 seasons, that goes from beginning to end of the series so far. (Operate under assumption that two parters are just one longer episode, that way it burns less episodes)
The episodes I feel have to be used are:
Origins, Heroes Day, Miracle Queen, Risk/Strikeback, Finale (Duh)
Sapotis, Anansi, Style Queen, Malediktator (S2 Heroes Important)
Volpina + Collector (Fu + HM)
Feast, Representation (Important Backstory shit)
Those are what O had off the top of my head.
Ah. Hm. Yeah the openings/finales of every episode is needed. And at least the Main 5 Hero Debuts. A lot of the Zodiac Heroes would get shafted, but I think we could have the Luka, Kagami and Alix episodes. So uh.
Origins
Pharoh(establishes how old the Miraculous are)
Volpina
The Collector
Sapotis
Queen's Battle(we're condensing the trio)
Anansi
Heroes' Day
Chameleon (Lila's return and shows she's being a threat)
Feast
Desperada (Luka's Hero Debut)
Miraculer (more on Chloé, whether you want redemption or downfall. First example of someone rejecting Akumatization)
Ikari Gozen (Kagami's Hero Debut)
Timetagger (Bunnyx appears)
Chat Blanc(Establishes Mari's trauma re: Identities)
Ladybug (Lila being a threat again plus if they wrote it better could set up Sentiplot)
Miracle Queen (My beloathed)
Gang of Secrets (Alya knows now)
Wishmaker(Luka knows now)
Queen Banana (make this Zoé's intro + her replacing Chloé)
Gabriel Agreste (Make this Felix's debut. Establishes him/his knowledge and skill, his future plans)
Risk/Strikeback
Destruction(Gabe getting Cataclysmed)
Emotion (Felix's whole plan. Maybe combine this with Pretension?)
Confrontation/Collusion/Revolution(Combining these three because they're basically a long episode even if they're not officially a multi=parter)
Confirmation/Recreation

Miraculous AU: Fifty Shades of Gold (Chloenette) [MATURE]
I've made a full collection of sketches of Marinette and Chloé intimate moments (but it's in a Fifty Shades of Grey style 👀).
It's the continuity of my previous sketch: Chloenette "Special Lesson" (Mature too).
It happens in an AU (dark and sad) [Mature content, No kids allowed]:
The AU: Fifty Shades of Gold
Marinette and Chloé are the co-main protagonists in this AU.
Marinette and Chloé are both 18 years old (but their civilian clothes are generally identical to their canon clothes).
Kwamis and Miraculouses don't exist.
-Marinette Dupain-Cheng:
Marinette is just a girl with a normal life but with some complications: she fails her romances with boys.
She is actually the Paris' best fashion-designer. She became famous in this speciality thanks to Gabriel (but the man suicided because of not accepting his wife's death).
Marinette is in a bad mood: she has lack of inspiration for creating dresses and clothes and she is no longer in couple with Adrien (despote they were lovers since
Adrien becomes baker (the Marinette's job with her parents) while Marinette has been promoted employee at the Gabriel brand by Audrey Bourgeois. It's a profession swap !
The Gabriel brand was beginning the path to the bankruptcy and Marinette felt the burnout until a certain blond girl comes to become candidate as top-model on replacement of Adrien who wouldn't be model anymore).
-Chloé Bourgeois:
Chloé is was a aristocrat girl turned into an escort-girl who has issues with her mother. Her father, the mayor, is deceased. After the latter's death, a saddened and desperate Chloé fled the Grand Hotel when she was 14.
Chloé secretly joins a business of prostitution as a escort-girl, call-girl and dominatrix. Following the next years, Chloé was fallen to the anonymity. Sabrina, Alya, Zoé, Adrien and Luka are the only ones who managed to keep in connection with the former spoiled brat.
She keeps her "job" secret from the public.
Her boss from her "business" is in fact: Cerise Bianca, a famous actress who make fortune by playing and producting movies. In clandestinity, the latter works in a proxenetism network under the identities of Lila Rossi, Volpina and Chrysalis (in association with a certain Cash and his mobsters) and her movie career had been launched on that. This girl is just recently become the new director of this" business" after the Cash's arrest.
At her difficult return to civilian life, Chloé becomes the top-model of the Gabriel brand by her mother (despite the issues Chloé has with her). Zoé is the one who convinced the mother and the half-sister to make a deal.
Chloé's promotion saves the brand.
But now, the blond girl must familiarize with Marinette (despite their opposite natures).
-The synopsis (hypothetical):
Marinette, a notorious fashion-designer and employee of the Gabriel fashion brand, lives an unlucky situation: Adrien breaks up with her in reason of her workholic time from her employment. He warned me he will see her again when she will really a time for him.
Meanwhile, the brand is in financial difficulties. Next day, Chloé comes to the brand's office for see Audrey Bourgeois, the former's mother and current the Gabriel's owner. Chloé receives here a "second chance": a promotion for working as model. A commercial (where Chloé appears) is released and the brand marketing is relaunched.
When Marinette finds out that, she is astonished. After three/four years of no contacting, she decides to see her. At their reuniting, the two young adult women will learn, by the decision of Audrey, an unexpected surprise: the two girls must work together as a business duo: Marinette is the designer and Chloé is the muse.
Marinette and Chloé go on a business trip. And during this trip, they take the time to familiarize each other. Together, they talk about their respective issues, difficulties, love problems, secrets and their similarities. That makes the two partners more closer each other and they begin to fall in love each other. But Marinette later realizes a unimaginable secret from Chloé: the latter had experienced a doubtful but enduring "profession" as prostitute during previous years. Their relationship will turns into a "game" Marinette never personally known and the bluenette will understands what Chloé lived during these last years.
-Their relationship:
In the past, a teenage Chloé was a bully and a teenage Marinette was one of the latter's victims.
After Chloé's Daddy's death, Marinette tried to express condoleances to the blond girl but the latter was already gone in a runaway. The bluenette was worried about her fallen rival being disappeared for some weeks.
Marinette went in date respectively with Luka, Nathaniel and finally Adrien (the boy she loved and finally dated).
Chloé realized "some tasteless adventures" with unknown people during her doubtful activities.
Chloé was going to lose interest to the life until her family contacts her again for offering a new departure.
When Marinette and Chloé met first time each other since a long time, they are both uncomfortable. Later, they learn to know each other (despite their coworker status).
They fall in love each other during their business trip (and they sleep together).
At their return, when Chloé makes Marinette aware the former had worked in a procuring group as dominatrix, their relationship turns into a sadomasoshist relation (they will mainly practice that in the Red Bedroom). Marinette consents to experiment BDSM sessions with Chloé. The bluenette plays the submissive while Chloé is the dominant.
The blondie feels guilty to bring her partner to that game.
The playlist:
The list of sketches at the bottom presents scenes with mature content [PG-13/R?] (No kids allowed):
Chloé "teaching a special lesson" to a topless Marinette
Marinette and Chloé in the bed after one of their "sessions" in the Red Bedroom
A weeping Chloé realizing about her situation: she hates her actual life, her dark job and herself
Two Kiss scenes/Two contrasts:
Dominatrix Chloe and a naked Marinette kissing together (Light, Love, Exaltion)
Marinette recomforting a tearful Chloé with a kiss (Tragic, Sadness, Sorrow)

I feel that "Campy Villain Gabriel (CampMoth? 😉)" should be defeated in S2, then S3 would have more serious plot with Marinette being effectively "caught in pincers" between Lila "attacking" her civilian life and Mayura creating Sentimonsters to get Ladybug (and Black Cat) Miraculous.
I mean, it was set up towards before s2 that something along those lines was how it was going to be.
When Mayura was revealed, she was so to be "worse" than Hawk Moth and would "make him look like a baby". And there was also a claim that she was Hawk Moth's boss. And there was a detail in Origins that HM was double checking with Nooroo on how the Butterfly worked, as if he was fed info and needed to confirm that info.
And it could be that Mayura originally was the one who gave Butterfly to Gabriel, which would've set her up as a counter to Fu in handing out Miraculous and semi having a "Guardian" role. And by extension, was going to set her up to be more tied to Marinette, as Marinette is the one who meets Fu, and is the one that was going to carry on as Guardian.
Which prompted a thought of maybe dark mentor Mayura, trying to pull Marinette to the dark side.
And man, I remember all the theories on who was going to be Mayura, post pre s2 and during s2 as she didn't appear yet.
But it was thought maybe she was Adrien's mom back from the dead and be a trope of the wife being worse than the husband.
That maybe she's related to Marinette and is her cousin or aunt on the Cheng side as she had an oriental look.
That maybe Kagami's mom was Mayura (which could've been interesting given that peafowl are tied to vision but she's a blind character), which out of them, potentially could've made the most sense given the apparent relations that the Tsuragis and Agrestes have.
And I think there were some that guessed Nathalie and they turned out right.
Anyway.
Yeah, Hawk Moth wasn't meant to be our big serious villain. He was the starting villain, someone they can be campy with, and be a decent threat, but not enough to take seriously. Things were supposed to get more serious with Mayura. But I guess that idea changed up the status quo too much so we got Nathalie in love with Gabriel and eagerly working under him even at the risk of her own health.
Man that status quo sure was worth keeping, huh?
As for Lila, she was also built up to be more prominent in s2. It was said that Volpina was implied to return and that we'd see a Fox pretty often in s2.
And then we had Alya confirmed for the Fox (and Chloe for the Bee; I also remember the lack of Chat Noir in the two new heroes reveal with LB had people wondering if something happened with Adrien or if he turned to the dark side), which helped plant this idea of Alya v Lila and Fox v Fox, and a claim that Alya, Chloe, and Marinette were all going to team up to face off against Lila.
And uh, yeah, none of this every came true.
Maybe it was planned to be but it just changed up their formula too much. It's a bit hard to say.
Either way, what we got was not good.

Scapegoating Lila and referring to Astruc haters as Lila grudge holders. LOL.
Thing is... Lila’s and their ways aren’t not the same. Sucks I’ll have to speak of Lila Rossi again of the difference of circumstances.
Ah it’s been established, the misuse of miraculous can lead to huge problems. This has been shown enough times. Heck that’s how Santa Claws happened. Back to Lila thing again.
Ladybug used her ultimate power to embarrass Lila due to her instability or rather Lila’s existence made Marinette the hero feel absolute inferiority and ensured to take her soon to be Perfect Alliance away from her. Tikki was asking if she was jealous earlier. Gets more jealous. Marinette got a special book and could have left and completed something more of priority. Instead she decides to be a clown. Even Adrien was like what’s wrong with you and concerned. Lie hater lies of an excuse to why she was foul to Lila and swings away from him because she knew that she was clearly wrong. It was really so Lila would go away or disappear. Disappear is fulfilled after Confrontation. Funny this her frolicking upon Lila and wasting her time instead of getting the book and leave for the time being indirectly helped cause the collector incident. Oof Adrien returning back to square 1 again. And the funny is Marinette in the end doing the very thing she despises or wants to despise of Lila doing when returning what she stole to Gabriel. Ironic. Choose when game eh?
Lila has to see what she wished, ripped away. Opportunities taken away later too. And the smile of the one who did this to her’s face, plaster everywhere. The hero that ruined your first day. Having to remember that awful experience for a long time. Hawk Moth and soon Nathalie orchestrate the anniversary of Lila mockery. The whole town celebrating your humiliator and allies of such. A peer in your class for some weird reason, wanting to be like Ladybug for some strange reason. You later have to later hear the theme song of who ruined you and see much merchandise. A powerful figure, Gabriel Agreste, insulting you, personally, purposely. When the day ends, it’s the same.
The next day you return to school is the first day you died. That person who went out their way against you like earlier is a class rep. The class representative is being very dirty towards Lila because Adrien. She tried to convince Alya and Nino there’s fault in her and offness. And when she realized that she screwed up and had no grounds to hold onto, that class rep went her way to try to expose her and raged cause it backfired. Literally proved that Marinette is desperate against Lila. So the rager once again proving her hatred isn’t because of what she does. It’s really cause she disrupts the destiny she wishes for Adrien. Lila is better than Marinette in her mind since her arrival and Marinette is being a flaw finder like she did in Volpina. Any means to find wrong with her so it’s ensured she can never be with Adrien.
And after Lila retaliated and left, Adrien reminded her of her first day after the anniversary of her humiliation (or whatever day. But it doesn’t matter due to Heroes Day is rather recent). Both of them are unfortunately reminding her of Ladybug. Ladybug tricks her into kissing seafood and mocks the muttering seafood and she gets split but Sarah and then Ladybug. So split into two and two. Just to be revived and Ladybug deciding to lecture her again and project.
Then the classed wanted to sit in their original seating so Lila is left to sit in the back. And everything works out for the rep who antagonized her. And then Marinette takes her threat as a joke.
Later in time, Marinette for some reason, decides to do the very thing Nino and Alya told her that wasn’t cool of her that she confessed of doing upon Lila. Because again, she sought for and desires to see something off with Lila (even though the reason she went away was because she ruined her first day). She also proves that she doesn’t trust Adrien as earlier in time he was warning her not to make things worse with Lila (and anyone in general. Like don’t give reason).
It’s almost like Marinette disregards the idea of Chloe ever bothering her or the classmates when Lila exists. It’s like she just wants to cause problems on purpose. And she tells Tikki, after taking Juleka’s bike, that she basically doesn’t trust Adrien or her friends while chasing after the vehicle with Lila, him and his bodyguard, Placide I.T.. Again, it’s not because of her friends. She uses friends will harmed by Lila as mask for her Adrien must remain pure and not corrupted (Even though Adrien knows what she knows already). She stopped badgering Lila because she discovered a flaw in Lila that ensured to her that Adrien could never want to be with Lila or any like her.
Wanna know the sugar on the cream? Lila being preyed on by a so called hero and one that shouldn’t be making Gabriel’s terrorist playground prosper. And yet… Ladybug finds it to make it about herself. And to ensure that a lot watchers are unable to see this because they purposely distract themselves with anything Lila does and wishes to make a big deal of what’s really moot and ignorable. And thus, hype it up higher than anyone else that’s shown doing similar, same, and or worse.
To the point they forget the history or discard of other characters and the environment. Too busy proxying Lila and isolating her as the exception above all. Honestly it’s actually the watcher for mastering the art of being a bigger fool than the protagonist actually. Unable to see what’s in their face all the time. That’s a good one actually. Brimmed and Scald over Lila doing something. Unable to see what’s other characters do that’s shown in their faces more frequently.
What’s really funny is the immense difficultly of realizing Lila is prompted reasons. Congrats to Sabrina and Marinette for strengthening her reasons further. How is a watcher gonna say Lila Rossi should let go when Marinette proves she can’t let go of Lila. In other words, it’s basically I want Lila’s end and I don’t care if Hawk Moth wins as a result. Lila once again became more important thing to target than the mastermind of genocide and victor of omnicide and ruination of Marinette and other characters having futures. And that’s why many watchers should hold hands around a virtual Marinette.
Wanna recall another obvious in the face ignored thing? Marinette made Kagami her Lila 2. Only problem was, not only she feels inferior like the former, she couldn’t find any means as an excuse to blast her. Even joined Chloe to try to humiliate Kagami. She even had to realize that she was in the wrong with Kagami. Sucks that she failed to try with Lila after the new insight with Kagami. Then episodes after Ikari Gozen, she reeled Kagami away from Adrien because Kagami’s existence around Adrien disrupted her. And so in feeling instead of the battle, she indirectly caused Miracle Queen.
Funny thing is the treatment of Lila 2 pretty much vanished at the end of Mr Pigeon 72. Kagami aligned to many of the viewers interests which unfortunately losers eat up. Then they get upset at her next season despite now knowing the truth of Marinette and Ladybug (and Marinette making things of herself again and Marinette almost realizing she should listen more or trust her friends). They call her the traitor cause whatever Pretension or Representation. Even though she and Felix ultimately benefitted Marinette’s interests and to end the Monarch reign once and for all which is kind of interesting.
Like do you understand the damage Marinette has done to her and seeing the failed past of her with Adrien as seeing them together now? Lila being right about what she said of Adrien and Marinette together are destroying her and Adrien really wrapped in Mari’s nette. Adrien speaking high appraisal of Marinette pretty much in her face, probably higher than he ever did with her. The two making her feel that Marinette knows best and is truly to be dependent upon. Similarly that’s pretty what happened with Felix. Convincing him that Marinette and Ladybug are more significant than themselves so Ladybug must end things and yet people get heartbroken that Kagami told Felix who Marinette is above all else. And may convince themselves she’s the traitor. Kagami is like the Lila that Adrien but mostly Marinette saved (if you know of Miraculous Secrets Lila lol).
But like for realsies. Kagami and Luka staying aligned with Marinette creed after knowing why of everything done upon them and their friends or others due to knowing who ladybug is, is quite a miraculous oof. Could be worse. They could really put everything together of what happened and why.
In short. Those Lilas can’t be Lila grudge holders because they viewers aren’t being badgered and harassed by people with the power to play with their lives and humiliate them and have to experience the harassers being seen as people with prestige and glory to want to be like and celebrate and have some fans of them going out their way to spread the propaganda against Lilas you refer to as being Lila holding a grudge on pieces of trash who could have trusted her friends and left her be.
This is also as embarrassing as when people say they met a Lila in real life. Or Haze Barfe saying Kagami bullied Marinette and projecting of her stupid childhood and disregarding what Marinette does to Kagami. Let’s add Juleka as well. How about Max? But it’s okay because Barfe thinks Lila being petty is wrong because it’s not relatable to her levels of petty. Oh how much of an oxymoron that stupid human is.
I will say, Barfe is truly an Master Andre Manipulator.
Or Pathological Marinette
Barfe and losers should be grateful they never met a so called real Marinette in their pitoful lives. Oops
Do tell me Glaze Barfe? Why does Recreation hurt you but Kagami personally hurt you the most? Is Kagami your real struggle in life?

Lila salt what if Lila got cursed whenever she lies her breath smells so bad it ironically smells like bullshit and guess what the bigger the lies the badder the small
Please Close Your Mouth
Ever since Lila became a model and had read the comments about how she did not have a model figure, she decided to go on a diet.
One day, Lila felt so hungry that she decided to swipe Adrien’s camembert, attribute the tiny dents in the cheese to Adrien’s fingers.
In actuality, those dents were caused by Plagg.
Lila had eaten a piece of cheese that was slightly coated with the salive of destruction and bad luck.
This did not inflict Lila with an incurable disease or ridiculous number of accidents. It did give her irremovable bad breath though.
Lila thought nothing of it at first, sure it would go away once the day was done. Only to be surprised when the next day, her classmates were asking her what she ate.
Lila asked for a couple of breath mints which Sabrina happily gave her. But they didn’t work.
Now nobody wanted to stand near Lila, to the point that she would have to speak loudly if she wanted to address them and that was just exhausting.
Determined, she confronted Adrien about how he kept his breath fresh, admitting she stole his cheese.
Adrien: oh, I don’t actually eat the camembert. But I remember reading a fortune cookie that said cheese would give me good luck.
Lila thinks Adrien is ridiculously gullible and storms off.
Adrien: Plagg, is this your doing?
Plagg: serves the liar right for eating my cheese. You shouldn’t eat food without knowing it’s history
Lila tries eating other foods to counter the camembert smell, even garlic, but nothing works. The smell only gets worse, to the point that people are now asking when was the last time she showered.
Her anger actually gets Monarch’s interest but what can he do with bad breath? That was lame.
Desperate, Lila finally threatens Adrien to help her or she’ll tell everyone that he gave her toxic cheese.
Adrien is unaffected. He can always claim ignorance.
Lila is soon sent back home, with an order not to come back until her stinky breath is gone. Chloe was particularly insistent on this.
Lila goes to the Gabriel for help, accusing his son for hoarding unhealthy cheese. Gabriel had noted that Adrien was buying a lot more cheese than usual and countered that he managed to keep his breath fresh. Perhaps it was something else Lila ate.
Lila: I didn’t eat anything else!
Gabriel isn’t willing to endure the stench any longer and kicks Lila out of his house.
Gabriel finally akumatizes Lila, striking upon inspiration on what her power could be.
Volpina returns with the power to change people’s opinions of her bad breath.
When Ladybug arrived and has a can of breath spray as a lucky charm, she offers it to Lila. “Either we fight and I defeat you again, or you take a chance on my lucky charm to cure you!”
Lila knows her odds and quickly accepts Ladybug’s breath spray in exchange for her akumatized object.
It works and she is cured.
Back at work or school, Lila is now known for a phobia of cheese

Hello there everyone, and welcome back to part 2 of this Au! So, I'll put forth a quick recap from last time and let everyone know what's happening in the rest of the story, yeah? Cool, now let's move right along!
Disclaimer: I’ve been gone from Tumblr for a while now, due to myriad of technical issues + prioritizing AO3 and IRL work. It’s a long story, but not to worry, I am now back and will actually remember to post frequently. Anyway, on with the AU!
As a reminder: The premise here is that Lila's grandmother (from the embassy mom's family, since until they explain this 27 mothers thing Lila has going on I am going to ignore it) once lived in Paris in the 1940s, and befriended Fu and Marianne as they were hiding the Miraculous away. Long story short, during that scene in S5 where they're escaping, Grandma Rossi gets the Fox Miraculous and helps them do so, eventually returning to Italy before Fu has deemed it safe enough to return for it. Many years later, she ends up revealing Trixx to Lila and passes the Fox onto her when her granddaughter says she's going to Paris, and tells her to be very, *very* careful with it. Lila immediately proceeds to nearly out herself with the Volpina incident. But don't worry, it's fine, she manages to get out of that situation without too much trouble. Now she's offered to be Adrien's friend, and so has Marinette. In the meantime, she's also waiting for a good oppurtunity to transform again, and try to convince Ladybug and Chat Noir that she is not a supervillain. For details, check the previous post.
Anyway, onto the rest of the show! Things stay the same for a few episodes, or...almost. Because Lila is friends with Adrien now, and by proxy Marinette who is putting her crush aside to make sure Lila isn't getting him in any trouble by also being Adrien's friend, our beloved...anti-heroine? Yeah, sure, why not? Our beloved anti-heroine happens to also get to know Alya and Nino failrly well, discreetly using Alya to get info on Ladybug and Chat Noir under the guise of helping with her blog, and Nino just for the playlists. Listen, Lila's taste in music ain't the most varied, so if there's good tunes in Nino's lists, she wants to have them too. Anyway, her friendship with the group develops more and more as she basically tries to be on her best behavior. Now...like I said last time, Lila isn't exactly the most moral person, or has any problems about absolutely (verbally) clobbering someone (meaning Chloe, most of the time) who is annoying her. And since Paris' Perfect Princess™ also happens to be a bully and screams at the same amount of decibels as a banshee before *anyone* has had their morning coffee, Lila joins up with Marinette and Alya to make sure nobody puts up with Chloe's BS.
As a consequence of this, she develops genuine friendships. I know, how horrible! But Lila isn't quite sure *how* friendship works, aside from her just holding back her snarky comments and being generally nice to the girls. So...as Marinette slowly begins to trust her more since Lila seems to just...not be going after her crush, our anti-heroine is left grappling with what exactly it means to even have friends in the first place, and if her bonds with the gang are even real considering she's mostly pretending when around them. This all comes to a head when Alya invites Marinette and Alya for a sleepover at her house...and cue the Sapotis episode to screw up everyone's night. Low and behold, there's no Rena Rouge to help LB and CN out, and since Alya ran off looking for her sisters, and Marinette is "missing" (AKA Ladybug atm), Lila finds herself alone at the house. Now, logically, she should wait this out until the heroes deal with the Akuma, since it's none of her business. Then again...there's *something* nagging her in the back of her head, a kind of itch that just makes her want to go out there do something instead of being stuck inside waiting. Could it possibly be that she's grown to care for Alya and doesn't want to see her upset? ...nah, probably the boredom! On she goes to transform and jump out the window!
Oddly enough, she notices her costume has changed a little bit since the last time. It's still very much Volpina, but this time she looks a bit more like a real fox. Slightly fluffy, swishing tail, tiny bits of fur on her ears and the ability to flick them at will (yes I will be using this to show her emotions, since I find it adorable when Chat does it), and her fangs are a bit more pronounced. Does this reflect Lila's feral nature as a total chaos gremlin? Absolutely it does! Trust me, she's a troll and it gets so much better! Anyway off she goes jumping around rooftops trying to find Alya, until eventually she comes across Ladybug, who is just kinda jumping around seemingly for no reason (She's trying to get to Fu's place without being seen by the Sapotis). Naturally, Lila jumps ahead of her and peeks her head out from behind a chimney. Ladybug yelps so hard that she physically staggers back, and Volpina finds this incredibly funny. So do I Lila, so do I... After a short moment of Marinette doing a double take, she kinda looks at Volpina with confusion. It goes something like this:
Ladybug: "Wait...Lila?" she asks, confusion evident on her face.
Volpina: "Nope, name's Cerise!" she quickly corrects her, a wide grin on her face. "I- wait, I wasn't supposed to say that! Uh...sorry!" the fox heroine yelps back, pinching the bridge of her nose. "The name's Volpina! The real one this time, promise!" she sing-songs with a tiny bow.
Ladybug: "You're the real Fox Holder?" Ladybug raises an eyebrow, clearly skeptical.
Volpina: "Yeah, Trixx absolutely adores me! So, how can I help ya miss Bug?" she asks, a chaste grin etching itself on her face. She seems almost feral, and Marinette decides to look her over.
Ladybug: Her lucky charm flashes over Volpina's form, and Ladybug examines her. It...looks like Lila's Akumatization, but also not? Her hair is a tad more orange, almost like there's faded highlights at the end of her bangs, and Volpina looks more *real*, like an actual fox rather than just a girl in a costume. "Uh...any chance you'll help us with the Akuma?" she asks again as the girl keeps flashing red in her vision, indicating she's the solution to her lucky charm.
Volpina: Volpina *grins*, flicking her tail at Ladybug. "Oh, I'll be happy to! Lead the way!" she chuckles playfully, almost like she's having fun with all this. Still Marinette jumps ahead of her, leading Lila back into the fray.
Cue the Sapotis-Land illusion and the Akuma's defeat, and Volpina hiding away the moment the fight is done so Ladybug and Chat Noir can't ask her any questions. Lila makes it back to Alya's place just in time, and jumps through the window, flopping on the couch just as the other girls also come back. She naturally makes herself look like she's been lounging around, and Marinette doesn't suspect her.
Worth mentioning that Lila was just pretending beforehand, and that Cerise is gonna be her supposed "real name" as Volpina, to throw off suspicion from her being Lila. Since Cerise doesn't actually exist in this AU (just like Lila's other 200.000 identities), it'll just be a cameo. From that day on, Lila joins Akuma fights every now and again, slowly growing into the Ladynoir banter and proving herself as an ally of sorts, while still blue skidoo-ing away before they can ask her questions. Look, she's in the *process* of crafting a new identity, this stuff ain't easy! After a couple weeks, she ends up eavesdropping on LB and CN while they're having that convo in Glaciator, where she tells him that she's got plans and whatnot. Ladybug leaves like normal, but Lila smells a wee bit off stupidity in the air, and decides to teach our dear furry a few things about how scheduling works. Low and behold, Lila actually ends up giving really good advice to Chat Noir even while actively trolling! Isn’t she miraculous? Anyway, I’ll need to go into waaaaaaay more detail about this in the next part of this AU, but I will save the specifics for part 3!
I’ll see you all soon, but until then, Stay Miraculous!

Hello guys, I have a au chaotic idea that I have had for a long time
I've been inspired by @bigfatbreak.
when I First time saw feralnette au.
The way @bigfatbreak changed Marinette's personality and appearance was genius
And imagine Kaz in Marinette's place
Here is the design
(note Check it out @bigfatbreak. blog their feralnette au is amazing)
I'm still thinking of a name for my chaotic au.
Here's the idea
Before the beginning series
kaz and Tom are close friends and Everything is fine
Until that day there was a new student.
his name is Lorenzo Reyes.
he in oc base on Lila rossi and the color scheme is Like her>
like Lila: Lorenzo doesn't like it when someone reveals that his lies aren't true, showing no remorse for lying in the first place. If anyone attempts to expose him, he won't hesitate to try to make them miserable or break them down just to get them out of his way.
And like in Miraculous season 1 ep 24, "Volpina".
kaz, like Marinette, did not trust Lorenzo
Lorenzo Give kaz two choices Because you're not stupid like everyone else You are either on my side or against me. kaz Of course rejects him
Lorenzo: You will regret this. Trust me I will make your life hell. I will make you lose everything
Just like in Miraculous SEASON 3 EP 18
Lorenzo accused kaz.
No one believed him, not even Tom believed him.
after this event kaz changed He began practicing boxing and martial arts And he became more isolated,
I was thinking about what kaz's dream what to be
Marinette wants to become a fashion designer So I thought I would make kaz's dream to be invention & game programmer.
luckily Lorenzo Move to another place. But kaz and Tom, they are no longer friends Because of that day.
when chaotic cards release.
When kaz got the code
Before he enters Perim. kaz Collect some information from players and robot.
When kaz enters the UnderWorld.
H'earring tried to jump on kaz Because of the smell from the bag but kaz dodged H'earring.
kaz picked up the bag and said, "You are H'earring the tracker."
Here's the deal. If you help me scan and show me UnderWorld you will get the Dractyl scales, And got other awful food you want.
Kaz sparked H'earring's interest And he said Straight to the point, I liked this What is your name.
Call me Kaz.
And here things become interesting.
Kaz is building a secret hideout somewhere in Perim.
Kaz did research on Perim language and technology.
Kaz designed his suit and mask
Imagine a mask with horns in front And cloak and Imagine the color scheme deep red black And dark grey.
NOT my art
kaz invented a device Something like Telebracers, And a device Makes you invisible like Mipedian
Kaz becomes a bounty hunter in Perim. he names himself the phantom Of course no one knows who he is And many players tried scan him But they all failed. In addition, Kaz spread rumors that the phantom, Any player who tries to scan him will be killed.
At the beginning of the episode Welcome to Chaotic.
Similar to the events of the episode, but with differences.
When Tom got the code. Kaz tells him about chaotic and Perim.
kaz says it's the truth.
So when Tom came in Chaotic Kaz will be like: didn't I tell you this would happen and Of course, without clothes, you are lucky. I expected that. kaz throws at tom a pair of jeans and Gray shirt.
When Kaz returned from Chaotic.
Kaz went home to Tom and he Avoid the donuts that Tom threw When he entered the room, Kaz just rolled his eyes and whispered the secret in Tom's ear.
Tom: how did you know that? I didn't tell anyone.
Kaz: yourself chaotic Tell me this secret and where is your scanner?
I threw it out
Tom, are you neglected or something? It hasn't been a day since your scanner Stop working and you just threw it away because it didn't work Instead of asking a technical expert to know the problem Or ask the store you purchased from to solve the problem.
And when they heard the sound of the garbage truck.
They started running after the truck.
Kaz manages to save Tom's scanner from being crushed by the garbage disposal.
After all this, Tom apologized to Kaz because he did not believe him. Kaz forgave Tom.
Tom asked Kaz if he could guide him in both chaotic and Perim, And Kaz agreed.
Tom tries to be Kaz's friend again While Kaz tries to keep some space between them.
Kaz always keeps people away from him and doesn't talk to them much unless you speak to him about Chaotic Or made deals.
Kaz always goes to the point Subject In a conversation.
he is friends With Sarah and Peyton
Sarah likes Kaz Because he is not reckless, unlike other players, And also Kaz is good at scan quests and He knows how to make the match fun and friendly
Peyton likes Kaz Because he Finds Kaz a chill person and They both listen to music, The competition between them still exists, like in a series.
his personality:
Kaz is like in the series But he is more calm when dealing with a situation and has More sneaks and intelligence.
I was thinking Make: Kaz makes money from his small business as a YouTuber 2d for games and he musician and singer And an artist.
here's the funny thing
Aa'une and the M'arrillian Scared of Kaz
Here's the idea for the scene
A village from OverWorld Being attacked by M'arrillian and the OverWorld troop Try to stop them while tom, Sarah, Peyton, Kaz They were there
when The general of the M'arrillian tried to control Kaz's mind. that backfire it cause to created a vibrational explosion that freed everyone from M'arrillian's control.
Let's just say When M'arrillian was in Kaz's mind This is what he saw Kaz
Kaz looked at The general of the M'arrillian With eyes filled with pure rage. He takes the Battlegear out of his bag And kaz started chasing him While cursing the M'arrillian in the language of Scotland
Everyone was wondering what was happening and why the M'arrillian was back away. And here they saw the strangest scene in their lives.
The general of the M'arrillian was running away from Orange hair Chaotic player boy While he shouts in a language they does not understand.
Some creatures recognize him as Tom's friend,
This is my idea if my au What do you guys think?

Miraculous
Chapter 24: Lila’s Explanation
(At the rebuilt François Dupont, Ms. Bustier’s students enter her classroom. As they take their seats, Lila arrives.)
MS. BUSTIER: Okay, class. Lila came to me before the bell and asked if she tell you all the truth.
MARINETTE: Well, we’re all ears, the stage is yours, fire away.
LILA: Okay.
youtube
LILA: It’s true. All of my accomplishments have never actually happened. But you already knew that. What you don’t know is my secret alliance with Gabriel Agreste.
(Flashbacks of each event Lila talks about appear.)
LILA (V.O.): Remember the fake akumatized Ladybug and Cat Noir on Heroes’ Day? That was me as Volpina. After Mr. Agreste insulted her, he took advantage of my negative emotions and akumatized me again, and then I made that devastating illusion. And then, after I faked being hurt by that napkin Marinette threw to me, I followed her to the bathroom, tried to butter her up with another lie, and then threatened her with taking you all from her, which finally came to a head the day I got her expelled. All a plan between me and Mr. Agreste since the day I got Kagami akumatized into Oni-Chan. I also tried getting Chloé akumatized the day Ladybug told her she couldn’t be Queen Bee anymore, it just went to Sabrina after Chloé rejected it. And then, we came up with another plan. Get Marinette out of Paris, then give Adrien the idea to chase after her, then call upon several villains from across the multiverse to help us overthrow the city. And all of this, just because I couldn’t get enough attention at home. My mom works at an embassy for so many hours a day that she actually bought into my lies that Adrien was my boyfriend and that the school was closed, somehow.
(In the present…)
LILA: I’ve done so much evil activity, it’s a wonder you all even forgave me so fast. I am so sorry. If you don’t want to even interact with me anymore, I understand.
(The entire class shares looks of contemplation, then Marinette gets up from her seat, approaches Lila, smiles, then embraces her. Lila’s eyes go wide, not expecting that from Marinette, of all people, but then returns the gesture. The rest of the class joins in. At home, Mrs. Rossi finishes listening to the same story.)
MRS. ROSSI: Wow. This is very disappointing to hear from you, Lila.
LILA: I know.
MRS. ROSSI: So, I will be quitting my embassy job to give you the attention you need. And also find a job where I won’t have as long of a shift.
(Lila embraces her mother.)
LILA: Thank you, Mom.
(Mrs. Rossi looks down at her with initial shock, then hugs her daughter back.)

When Lila first got introduced in Volpina what were your expactions for her character for future seasons ? Even tho the episode said Volpina will return in the future I honestly throught she'd just be a one off character initially (probably cause she didn't show up for almost the entire S2).
I got into Miraculous in 2021 when we already had the first three seasons, so - when I watched Volpina - I had a vague idea that the temp heroes were going to be a thing in later seasons and that Chloe was going to be one of them. Based on that vague knowledge and the content of Origins, I thought that Lila was the classic minion upgrade setup and that the writers were going to use her to replace Chloe.
For those who don't know what I mean by "minion upgrade," it's whenever you remove one side villain and replace them with a scarier side villain. Think Azula from Avatar the Last Airbender. She only shows up once Zuko stops hunting Aang because someone needs to hunt Aang and it's gotta be someone better than Zuko because that's how you raise the stakes!
When Lila was outted and then basically disappeared after her intro, I got confused. That confusion has only grown as the seasons passed and her writing got ever more odd. While her presence is basically a guarantee that I'm going to hate an episode, I do mourn for what she could have been. I love a good master manipulator!
I've got a long post on Lila that I'll link and schedule to post the same day as this ask in case people want my broader thoughts on the many failures of her writing.

Lila headcanon: in one of her unseen and only mentioned appearances as Volpina, she announced her return with an illusion imitating the cover of the first Fantomas novel.
She was so happy for having done it she deakumatized by complete accident... And Hawk Moth made a note to never bring back Volpina.
Ha!

Headcanon’s about DC Kids AU: Aurore’s hero name would be Whirlpool. Cosette’s would be Buzz Kill. Zoe’s realtionship with her blood siblings in a nutshell: “If I have a Penny for each half sibling that is only a few months older than me and is a jerk, I would have 2 Pennies. It’s not much, but weird that happened twice”. Mireille screamed at Volpina during a battle to make her illusions disappear.
Okay, let's do this!
Zoé: 'Sup, dick?
Dick: I can hear you using lowercase 'D,' you basic-ass blonde.
Zoé: Jealous I got a hot girlfriend and Starfire met someone else? Yeah, fuck you, dick.
-
Jean: Okay, okay! If you guys had to choose your superhero names... What would they be?!
Simon: Kid Quick.
Denise: Really?
Simon: Kid Flash is taken.
Ismael: Krypto-Kid.
Aurore: Okay, not bad. Simon, take notes. I'd go by Whirlpool.
Cosette: Can't decide between AC/DC, Buzz Kill, or Voltage. There's just too many electricity puns!
Zoé: I am the night. I am the vengeance. I am... Still thinking of something other than Robin.
-
Mireille: Hey, Volpina!
Volpina Illusions: What?!
Mireille: *Screams, causing the illusions to disappear when they're hit by the strong soundwaves, revealing the real Volpina who's going to have tinnitus for real*
-
*Still coming up with names*
Simon: Uh... Lightning Run?
Cosette: The electricity-based stuff is mine.
Simon: Ugh! This is hard! Marc, you go!
Marc: Would my Tamaranean-translated name suffice?
Aurore: Depends. What is it?
Marc: Myzan'r.
Jean: I like it!
Simon: Aw, come on!
-
Simon: Anyone want Japanese food for lunch?
Ismael: Sure.
Denise: I could eat.
Mireille: Pick me up some onigiri.
Simon: Be right back. *Dashes off, then returns seconds later with five bags in his hands* Guess who had time to grab mochi!
-
Kiran: Marc! Do the thing! Do the thing!
Marc: Okay, come here!
Nathaniel: What thing?
Marc: *Holding Kiran* Ready... Set... *Throws Kiran high into the air*
Nathaniel: ...
Marc: ... *Catches Kiran back in his arms* Nathaniel, would you like to try?
Nathaniel: *Backs away* No.
Ismael, Denise, and Marc can deadlift the Eiffel Tower like it's nothing
While on the phone, Aurore walked into the pool without a second thought and resumed her conversation for about ten minutes. It baffled Kim and Ondine for weeks
Lacey LOVES getting head pats. It's even better when she turns into a cat
Sometimes Jean talks in reverse without even thinking, and inadvertently casts a few spells
Whenever sunspots occur, Cosette's powers go haywire and create an electrical aura around her. It's best to keep your distance for a few hours... Or days
Denise doesn't even need the Lasso of Truth. Just one glare from them can have any pour soul spilling their guts
So she’s not blowing everyone’s eardrums out by stress-screaming, Mireille took up boxing to get her anger out
Tamaranean puberty can start at any age. For Marc, it started when he was fifteen, and he spent the week covering his face with his hood
Aurore: Marc, I'm sure it's not that bad.
Marc: *Crying* Yes, it is! I look like a raw glorkaroach!
Denise: Hon, you're probably blowing this all out of proportion. Now, let's see that darling face, and- *Marc pulls down his hood* Oh! Oh, Athena! That is not right!... *Pulls Marc's hood back up and pats his head* Yeah, just... Keep that on.
Marc: *Cries again*
Their outfits have some elements of their hero parents
Aurore’s skirts and tops have gold fish scales, and she has trident earrings
Mireille manages to make leather and sweaters work with each other. She also has a lot of fishnets
It’s not rare to see stars embroidered on Denise’s skirts
Marc often wears purple and jewelry made from metals found on Tamaran
Simon wears more warm colors and a few of his shirts have The Flash’s logo embroidered on it
Cosette’s color schemes usually consist of blue, yellow, white, and black
Zoé’s got a lot of black with some hints of yellow. There’s no way in hell she’s going out in Robin colors again
Ismael’s cardigan is a brighter shade of blue with red cuffs
A lot of Reshma’s clothes have vine patterns on the sleeves and hems
Lacey wears Beast Boy’s signature shade of purple with some hints of black
Jean dresses all fancy with bow ties, crop jackets, and tiny top hats on a headband
Now as for Jean and Austin’s relationship- Jean often makes Austin’s favorite flowers appear in his locker
Oh, and Austin knows that he and his friends are related to DC heroes. His dad actually came across Zoé’s dad a few times in Gotham before he was put away
They don’t care much for the Marvel heroes
Simon: Darkseid. The most dangerous villain in the universe. Powerful enough to defeat any hero he faces.
Ismael: Even Superman?
Simon: Yes.
Zoé: Batman?
Simon: Yes.
Reshma: Spider-Man?
Simon: Well, Spider-Man wouldn't fight Darkseid.
Marc: Is it because he is too lazy?
Ismael: What a bum!
Lacey: You know, this really lowers my opinion of Spider-Man.
Whenever they go into battle, there’s always this weird sequence with a 40s-era sounding announcer
Assembled in the tenth grade class of Francoise DuPont in Paris are the world's greatest young heroes. Simon! The fastest demiboy on Earth, but needs to improve his endurance. Zoé! He REALLY hates his brothers! Denise! They’ve got bracelets, and a rope! Cosette! A human taser with outdated slang! Lacey! The animal shapeshifter who sometimes eats meat! Jean! A spectacular magician who can talk in reverse and confuse people! Ismael! He successfully managed Superman’s signature curl! Marc! This alien prince is already spoken for, boys! Mireille! She can and will destroy your eardrums! And Aurore! She hates dolphins and finds them to be jerks! Evil-doers beware! These kids are doing things! Everywhere! With their underwear on the outside!
*The DC Kids look around for the source of the voice*
Aurore: Where is that coming from?!
Simon: *Searching through his bag* I-is there like a tape recorder somewhere?
Marc: *Blasts a hole through the wall* Still can’t find it!

Miraculous Reverse: Tales of Lady Misfortune and Dog Blanc
Characters:
Lady Misfortune a.k.a. reverse Marinette. In this universe, Marinette doesn’t care about fashion, or Adrien. She loves sports, rock music, and goth looks. But that’s not what made her evil. She was best friends with Chloe but jealous of her wealth and kind nature, she soon brushed her aside. Her neglectful parents wanted her to be a rich fashion designer, but she cared not for girly things. That also didn’t make her evil. She did start bullying her classmates though. It wasn’t until she discovered a mysterious pair of black earrings with red spots on them did her curiosity peak…and a note next to it. “I have witnessed your evil deeds and invite you to join me. Take these earrings and meet me at my lair at 3AM. Follow my commands and you’ll obtain powers and wealth beyond your wildest dreams. -The Supreme.” Oh, what a foolish move! She and Adrien are now supervillains under his control, hurting any person who doesn’t consider him a god. Bringing bad luck to her enemies, she calls herself Lady Misfortune! (“Ikkit, Circles On!” “Unlucky Charm!”) She and reverse Cat Noir are always arguing.
Dog Blanc a.k.a. reverse Adrien. In this universe, Adrien was born from the jealousy of his mother Emilie. Colt Fathom wasn’t abusive this time, in fact he was a nice father to Felix who respected his wishes. It was his wife Amelie Graham de Vanily who saw Felix as a mere tool, a servant, a monster. She had used the peacock miraculous to birth him just for the sake of having an heir. Emilie wasn’t much better…she followed the rules and wanted to marry rich. She was jealous of Amelie since she had a kid already. She moved to France hoping to return to London with a wealthy spouse. Enter the kind-hearted baker Gabriel who somehow won her heart. Gabriel helped Emilie give birth to Adrien using the peacock miraculous. But when the Supreme took over Paris, Gabriel vowed to stop him, creating a resistance of superheroes to fight off his cult of villains. To keep his son safe, he disappeared from the mansion. Emilie then treated Adrien like the original Gabriel did…as nothing more than a pawn and a monster…which is what he actually was. Adrien never got over losing his father and being bossed around by his fashionista mother. When Adrien saw a note and a mysterious ring in a box, he knew how to escape. Now as a supervillain of destruction thanks to his antikwami, he calls himself…Dog Blanc! (“Gglap, knives out/in!” Doggone Destruction!”) He and reverse Ladybug are always arguing.
Butterfly a.k.a. Gabriel Agreste. Think he’s still an abusive father to Adrien? Not this time. This Gabriel is a superhero who uses the moth brooch to train and create a crew of superheroes to help save Paris from the Supreme’s supervillain army. Unlike the original, losing Emilie hasn’t bothered him too much…but he misses his son dearly, wondering where he has gone. Fearing he’s already in the clutches of the Supreme, he enlists the help of Chloe/Queen Bee, Lila/Volpina, Felix/Argos and several other individuals to try and destroy the antikwamis and defeat the villains. (“Nooroo, light wings rise!” “Fly my little Kimiko and purify the goodness in their heart!”) The Supreme sends out his minions to recapture the butterfly, peacock, bee etc. miraculouses because Gabriel had stolen them from him.
Mayura a.k.a. Natalie – assistant to Emilie, former holder of the peacock miraculous. She is lazy and doesn’t seem to care much for Adrien, only fulfilling Emilie’s duties. She is torn between working for Gabriel, assisting Emilie in her plans…or delving deeper into Adrien’s work for the Supreme. (“Duusu, spread my feathers!”)
Argos a.k.a. Felix. Adrien’s twin cousin. He is the holder of the peacock miraculous. Like the original, he and Adrien want sentimonsters like themselves to be free from the abusive adults, to be treated the same as any normal human being. Unfortunately, Adrien, not the original more passive twin, turned to the dark side. But Felix never gives up. He teams up with his friendly father Colt Graham, Chloe, Lila, Gabriel, Tomoe, and many others to try and stop the Supreme. But what do his aunt and mother have planned for the world?
The Supreme a.k.a. reverse Master Fu. Like the original Fu, he was taken in at a young age many years ago to be the Guardian of the Miraculouses and perform tasks he didn’t like such as cleaning, meditation for long periods of time, devotion etc. He created a sentimonster Feast who gave him food, but also caused the destruction of the temple. But instead of taking responsibility for his mistake, he believed that the Guardian system was boring and restricting. And the miraculous kwamis…such powers they possessed! Soon enough, he possessed nearly all the powers (like original Hawkmoth) using them to make him rich and powerful in Paris and nearly the whole world. To keep the masses in obedient fear (think North Korea tyranny), he recruited teenagers to go out and do crimes, harming anyone who might turn against him, knowing their youthful nature would create more chaos to their minds and bodies. He also corrupted the kwamis with powerful dark magic, making them antikwamis and turning people into villains, imprisoning the rest with his Turtle miraculous! He sends his minions after Gabriel because he stole some of the miraculous from him. In “Tales of Shadybug and Claw Noir,” the Supreme could’ve been Hitler or someone who was chasing Fu and his lady partner.
Queen Bee a.k.a. Chloe – don’t worry, she’s not a snobbish bully in this universe. She is one of the kindest people you’ll meet, despite being rich. She used to be friends with Marinette until she was bullied by her. Chloe becomes the Queen Bee superhero, no Zoe replacement here! In fact, she becomes the “Ladybug” of the group (Felix is the “Adrien”) Kagami is the “Alya.” Sabrina teams up as well. (“Pollen, Buzz On!” “Venom!” “Miraculous Queen Bee!”) Chloe, once the most hated character now has Ladybug’s power to repair and restore things back to normal.
Volpina a.k.a. Lila – Lila always tells the truth in this universe, but that doesn’t mean she can’t whip up some illusions! She is also known as Caseire…chosen by Gabriel/Butterfly to be the next holder of the Moth Brooch and save the world! For now, she uses the Fox miraculous. (“Trixx, Let’s Bounce!” “Mirage!”)
Hound a.k.a. Sabrina – Sabrina is still friends with Chloe and uses the Dog miraculous…although this time, she insists on being the leader over Chloe…which often leads to problems during heroic missions! (“Barrk, Go Fetch!”)
