I'm currently rereading 'finders keepers' and I'm in the chapter where Gellert mentions that the last time Albus and him met was in Prague, so it's pretty clear that they've met after 1899

Now I'm wondering if these were brief encounters or if they kind of 'got back together' at some point?

in the FK universe they did met multiple time before the big war. I wrote two oneshot about Gellert, Anton and Albus past relationship in this universe so far but to resume it, they were in some sort of threesome, we are using Anton to deal with each other type of relationship. They tried very hard to change each other mind for years until Gellert push it too far and Albus gave up definitely and walked away. Anton took G side and that was it.
