#4 Sound Story

Instruction: Interview someone who has a unique style of fashion. Get them to talk about what they wear and have a conversation about personal identity through clothes.

I looked for a friend who dresses well to create a sound story. Although I initially found a friend who I thought dressed well, she couldn't speak English, so I had to search for another friend. I created a questionnaire related to fashion and conducted the interview.

After recording the interview, I edited it and added background music (BGM). I was able to find an appropriate BGM for fashion on the editing app, VLLO.

Creating this story allowed me to spend time contemplating and learning about how to harmonize voice and BGM. If it were just the voice, this story could have been boring, but with the addition of BGM, it became an interesting story. This experience helped me appreciate the importance of audio.

My blog claims I never tagged it properly which is a lie but anyway here we go again! I use the SNOW app and VLLO, but I’m sure there are other options and maybe even easier ones 😅 VLLO has texts and effects but I find SNOW to have more (and Cuter) options.

Find or make an image you like and open it with the SNOW app. I use their text because there’s alot of freedom of change. Merch the layers before cropping.

Crop the image to the size you want—- I went as thin as I could for mine. It doesn’t let you get super thin tho so you can crop it elsewhere if you need to. Sometimes I save the image, crop it on my phone, and then open it again in snow for the effects.

Go to ‘effects’. I found ‘particles’ has the most options to ‘save as a video’, which is what you need. save as a video and then open VLLO.

Open the video you just made. I use the preset size as I’ve already cropped it. I like to cut the video shorter so that it doesn’t repeat unnecessarily because the longer the clip, the lower the quality you can have.

Save as a gif. Tumblr only allows 10mb so you may need to play with the resolution (click format) to get it 10mb and under. If it’s still too big you will need a shorter video. It shows you the size on the big pink button beside the word “export”.

I use the website on my phone because it rarely fights me and I’m old. I click “upload images” and then add my gif. 👌🏼

Hi! So this is a post on how I do my audios and stuff.

First you can go onto Google and look up p0rn and I just search male moaning audios and see which sound the most alike to input member, or go on twitter but I never usually find audios on there.

Then I screen record the audio snippet I want and save it, I crop it if I feel like I need to and then I go to an app called VLLO and I press the new project button.

Then you select the video you want and go through those steps, I just press 1x1 and full and keep going until I’m at the editing part.

Then you go to the section at the bottom where it says “pip” once you press it, add the image of whatever member you want and fix it until it fits and covers the whole original photo. Then you make it fit from the beginning to the end of the video.

Or audio.

And from there you press play and make sure everything is in check, you then after making sure it’s done, you press the export button and select 4K. Then you just need to wait and it should add to your camera roll.

So I talked about TotJ and shared what I liked/thought could be improved/what I hope to see here

App used: VLLO video editing app and Adobe Lightroom (I used Lightroom once to fix a photo 6yrs ago in a college course of mine)

One of the things I mentioned was Dooku’s lightsaber color change during ep4 The Sith Lord. I said that I would’ve loved to have seen the blue fade to purple then to red as he struck down Master Yaddle. I’m sure that goes against how Dooku actually got his lightsaber red, I just thought it would be cool if his saber changed during that fight. So I made a video about it. If that were to happen/I was in charge, I would have the saber change from blue to purple when Dooku collapses the door on Yaddle and then from purple to red when he strikes the already defeated Master down. I only included the important parts (not the whole fight).

*I DON’T KNOW HOW TO EDIT VIDEOS!* What does that mean?

—The audio is 95% fine (it works it’s just the edit/timing is a bit weird)

—I don’t know how to color change specific objects in videos so the whole picture gets color changed

—I don’t know how to make the colors fade into each other so the color changes are kind of abrupt (I used a transition for the blue/purple change and cut 2 vids together for the purple/red change).
