Writeblr introduction ━━━━━━━━━━━ ❥
Hey there! I've had this blog for quite some time as a multi-fandom but have decided to also incorporate my writing, fanfic, and general literary interest into it! Also getting to generally fangirl over fiction and fantasy again is a huge plus. I write mostly about mature themes/content so please only interact is 18+!
[ My inbox is always open and I'm trying to branch out more and interact with fellow writers, readers and artists in general! ]
— about me.
♡ ↬ kourt - 29 - asian + kanaka maoli - they/she - enfp - aquarius
♡ ↬ enjoys: rock/alt/emo music. candles + perfumes inspired by literary of fandoms. band merch collecting. iced coffee (hazelnut's my favorite!). baking. crafting. spicy ahi bowls. korean fried anything. green tea. milk tea + boba. concerts + live music.
+ of course reading, writing, poetry, and fanfiction.
♡ ↬ dislikes: warm coffee. writer's block. crowded spaces. all the spelling errors i make despite pursuing a degree in English, heh. (you've been warned)
♡ ↬ Currently residing in Hawai'i with my husband, kids, 2 doggos and cat.
♡ ↬ My favorite books would have to be (and pardon me as I haven't re-read them in ages, they simply sparked a lot of my inspiration in my tween and young adult years and I remember them fondly and would recommend them to anyone) :
"The Forbidden Game Trilogy" by LJ. Smith - "Acheron" by Sherrilyn Kenyon - "The Phantom Tollbooth" by Norton Juster - Anything by Scott Westerfeld - "The Chronicles of Vladamir Todd" by Z. Brewer. Anything by Neal Shusterman.
I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting but that's where a lot of my inspo currently comes from.
♡ ↬ I've been reading since I was old enough to hold a book (even if it was upside down, as my mom recalls) and hope one day someone loves a story I tell or write as much as I've come to love the numerous stories from authors above and otherwise.
— about my writing.
♡ ↬ Fantasy, adult fiction, dark + mature themes. I love any story that can bring you out of the real world while you can still relate to the struggles and growth of the characters within and would love to execute that in my work!
♡ ↬ I love strong character arcs and seeing characters with many flaws or dark pasts overcoming their struggles. I also love fantasy based in the real world, like gods-walking-among-us type deals. Anything to make the fiction feel more real or within reach. Also, will always love me a good romance.
♡ ↬ I think my own writing is abstract. I love wordplay and messing around with the form when writing to alter the flow and make it feel a bit more like poetry if I can.
♡ ↬ I am learning and growing by reading and honestly trying to recreate the art of the masterful writers I see. My own writing is a work in progress and I would like to be more curt and defined within my own writing. I'm a bit wordy so I'm always looking for feedback and critique.
♡ ↬ Currently playing around with fanfiction for fun and practice!
I love prompts and write for any number of fandoms and if you'd like to suggest something I'm all ears! [x]
— about my wip. [CURRENTLY UNTITLED]
♡ ↬ A dark romance + adventure, traversing the dreamworld, cold + sleepy small coastal town.
Honestly, I've no idea where it's headed but would love to post more inspo and aesthetics and info while it and I grow together, so who knows!

hi all, i just finished reading/listening to vladamir nabokov’s fucking book of all time, lolita (the version narrated by jeremy irons). arresting as all get out, but i recommend it if you have the stomach for the subject matter.
i yelled, i cringed, i died, i had to pause the shit at multiple points and brace myself to continue. super tragic and heartbreaking, but i was completely morbidly fascinated by it. and it is so carefully written. the prose is masterful. the whole thing was super fricking coconuts, as one might say.
anyways, i’ve decided that i am going to watch both film adaptations, probably today (i finished the book at 4am this morning in a fugue state). mr. hitchcock is first on the chopping block and i do not have high hopes :D

Fate Lies Not In Our Stars
Tumblr media
“I’m back to magical thinking,” the woman emailed. She was expecting a devastating medical report after a series of tests. The reply I sent back came after a moment of pondering. “I’m imagining the doctors have misread the original data. It happened to me.” To give false hope is wicked, but medical mistakes do happen and are more plausible than magical thinking.  As Alexander Pope wrote, “To err is human.” The aphorism, too mundane to serve as poetry, is a truism. Experts can’t think of everything. The toddler who penetrated the impenetrable fence around the White House is proof. Error is why we age. The process is a distillation of repeated biological mistakes. Meant to keep us in good repair, our RNA sometimes blunders when it mends our DNA. One or two mistakes are tolerable, but when they accumulate, our bones become fragile and our eyesight fades. Diet and exercise may slow the decay, but death is inevitable. Dissolution may be part of Nature’s evolutionary plan yet I marvel that blunder is at the heart of it.    Because we are fallible creatures, we create fallible societies. The mightiest empires crumble. Sometimes, the fault lies in our stars.  Prolonged droughts or floods trigger mass migrations. But war, political corruption, and the destruction of the environment are human accomplishments.     China and Russia have stubbed their toes on their way to empire because ill-considered decisions have left their countries with younger generations too small to support older ones. China’s One Child Policy, though no longer enforced, will see its population halved by the end of the century.  Vladamir Putin’s Ukraine war hastens a decline that was already in place. After years of dictatorships, its demoralized men don’t live long enough to become fathers.  They die early from alcoholism and despair. Elsewhere, populations are also in decline.  Contrary to the belief that humans will one day overrun the planet, our growth will peak at 8.5 billion in 2040.  After that, an implosion will follow, posing a danger similar to the one China and Russia face.  Americans opposed to immigration take note. Our population is also on a downward trajectory.     Anti-abortion laws that force women to give birth won’t help.  Nor will denying affordable childcare to working mothers to keep them at home.  They work because they must. Harsh policies place an undue burden on them and increase the risk of developmental and health problems in their children. Equally regressive are proposals to end no-fault divorce, forcing women to remain in unhappy marriages. Men would be equally affected, but historically, women suffer more.  After no-fault divorce became law, women endured lower incidents of domestic violence, spousal homicide, and female suicide.  Efforts to control a woman’s womb overlook the obvious. These efforts do not affect climate change, a pending disaster that threatens the species. Technology may save us, but being a human invention, it has its flaws. Many fear Artificial Intelligence will one day make avatars our masters.   Even so, an error has its virtue.  We learn from it. Knowing we are flawed should make us humble. Knowing we are flawed should make us forgiving.  When we forgive, we exercise compassion. Everyone knows what compassion is–the recognition that we belong to one another.   ___________________________  3rd book cover teaser before the June reveal

so i’m on a huge daredevil kick right now and i’m reading all the fanfiction and you know what i don’t see enough of? time travel fix-its. probably bc the series ends on a good note, but still, there’s so much angst going on. wouldn’t it be nice if some of it could get fixed? but also, having karen or foggy or matt be the one(s) to travel back in time seems...oddly redundant for this particular fix-it. i’m pretty sure that foggy would be the only one that actually focuses on making it less angsty and dramatic, karen and matt would just kick bad guy ass that much faster and more intenstly and not actually do any self-care.
so i think if there’s going to be time travel fix-its, it needs to be a character that’s in daredevil’s peripherial who has just enough knowledge about a specific thing to alter something for the better (how much better may vary). claire, ben urich, and elena cardinas are good and obvious choices. but let’s think outside the box a bit.
how about someone like brett mahony? or vladamir? or sister maggie? or the police rookie in the bombing episode? or father lantom? or marci? (i haven’t seen seasons 2 or 3 yet, so i don’t know any other peripheral characters that might be interesting to put in there)
note that i’m not naming characters like stick since i don’t think that he would try to make things better, he’d just do his thing faster. i’m also not naming characters that would make things worse (although a groundhog day situation with a bad guy that has to turn good to stop the cycle would be facinating), like wesley.
(yes, i know i named vladamir earlier, but i’m pretty sure he’d team up with daredevil sooner or later if he was stuck reliving the situation that got him killed and he had the chance for revenge)
anyway, fun thoughts! i’m probably not gonna write anything about this because i’m already in the middle of two very long writing projects and getting my masters, but one can dream.

Dan i just say i love the danny phantom batfam crossover?
Also. I appreciate tim
Danny: so.. hey...
Tim ready to throw the homework out of the window: yes?
Also. I cant wait for vlad masters to walk in
Vlad: i am vlad masters
Tim: *hears kill bill siren*
Was planning on attaching this to a different snippet I was working on, but now your get the preview:
It was weird, hearing that he wasn’t stupid. That there was a legitimate reason he was bad a math and it should have been caught a while back. It wasn’t his fault.
He was still trying to process it when he heard a voice. A voice he hadn’t heard for months, but still was instantly recognizable. Danny stiffened. “What’s he doing here?”
Alfred’s eyes sharpened. The already pale young man had turned a ghastly shade of white. And there was every reason for Master Bruce to be here, which meant the reaction was to his current guest, a Mr. Vladamir...Vladamir Masters.
“There is a panic room on the third floor, the door is hidden in the back of the closet in the office converted from a guest bedroom.” Alfred instructed. “Please remain there while I make sure Mr. Masters leaves the premises.”
Danny looked at him in shock. “What are you talking about?” “Danny,” for once Alfred dropped the ‘Master’, as least for now until he could disassociate the term from the man currently talking to Master Bruce about a business venture. “You just had a very visceral reaction to hearing the man’s voice. I’d wager whatever history you have with him, it wasn’t a pleasant one. And if you do not feel safe with him around, quite simply, he has to go.”
“I’m not scared of him.” And he wasn’t. Not of Vlad himself. He was afraid of being found. Of being returned to his parents or locked up by the GiW if his parents had reported him to them. Danny Doe was safe. Danny Fenton was decidedly not.
“Be that as it may, it seems to be in your best interest he leave, so he’s gone.”
“But what if it was in Mr. Wayne’s best interest for him to stay?” Danny asked. Surely Alfred cared more about Bruce than him.
“Right now Master Bruce is far more concerned with your best interests than his own. he will agree with me. Furthermore, would it be in Master Bruce’s best interest to cultivate an alliance with this man?” Danny slowly shook his head. Vlad was ruthless and untrustworthy.
“I thought as much. Head to the third floor. I’ll be with you shortly.”
Danny hesitated, then “Please...just don’t mention me by name until you’ve come to get me. Vlad has ways of listening in. I know what to look for.”
Well that was highly worrisome. Still, he could dwell on it later. Right now he had a billionaire to politely remove.

Danny Phantom Xover pt. 2
I have been writing part after part for this thing going “I need to post part three.” But NO I haven’t even posted part 2 for this little wench!!!
I am so upsetti spagetti about it!
anywho- rant over story bellow /
The Bat had been looking into a case for the Justice League about a small town a good plane trip away from Gotham called Amity Park. They where looking into the town because of one Vladamir Masters. Suspecting him of being akin to Lex Luther, Superman brought his worry to the League and they set Batman on his tail.
Bruce had already known that he was new money, but the man had kept personal business to himself, so the main thing that Bruce could look into was another publicly known fact. He’s Mayor of a town called Amity Park.
There was frustrating little on the town on the widespread internet, like someone or thing wanted everyone else outside of the town to think them all crazy, all he found of interest was a pair of scientists the Drs. Fenton and their family. The pair were smart but widely regarded as ghost obsessed quacks. Batman dove further.
He disguised his computer as that of one of a public library from the town to see what the civilians do. He noticed a number of differences, one there seemed to be a frequently visited site called Phantom-Sighting.com that seemed to be a fan site for the local superhero, one that Batman had yet to hear of or register for recognition, and another called Ghost-Spotter’s-Blog.org that seemed to be a site that was much like a news web page and show information about the current and past ‘Ghost” fights going on around town. Batman decided to look into the latter more than the former because a small town really shouldn’t need a real time report blog for superhero fights. As Batman looked into the “about'' page he found that the page was made by three students about two years ago.
The students in question being Samatha Manson, the daughter of the Manson family who he had only briefly met at her 12th birthday party- it was more like a ball and the little girl seemed to hate it- she was sharp, Tucker Foley, a young man with a promising future if Tim had a say in it, and Daniel Fenton, the youngest child and only boy of the Fenton Family- his grades had seemed to of dropped dramatically about three years ago when he entered high school and it seemed he was going nowhere fast.
These “ghost fights” seemed to always be between Phantom and another of a large catalogue of ghosts. Some of them are listed with the key word “Sighting” which apparently means that the ghost was non violent and just needed protection from the Fenton parents while they were out and about, others where tagged with the key word “scuffle” apparently that means that the ghost particular was one of the more regular ghosts and knows not to involve non-armed civilians, and a very small few where tagged with the key words “Battle ground” or “King fight” they seemed the mean that the arias should be avoided at all costs if you want your life out of it.
The sigh that left the man was loud enough to catch the attention of Damion who was seated with Alfred, the cat, near by. “Father, what is wrong?”
“I’m investigating something for Clark, and it looks like someone has kept a hero in need of help from our view.”
*tch*”The League's view or our’s?”
*sigh*”Both…”
The bats kept tabs on the goings on of Amity Park including the Fenton Tragedy when a pair of social workers got in touch with Bruce, he was apparently loosely related to Jack Fenton, they asked if Bruce was up to taking in another young man, the Fenton Son they later learned, and Bruce had agreed.
“No, I didn’t remember what he looked like when they asked.”
“Well it sure seems like an awful lot of coincidence that he’s got blue eyes and black hair, Bruce!”
Bruce huffed at Tim’s words and walked off to the study, Tim- not letting him get away from this “coincidence” followed him down to the cave where Bruce’s plethora of children could hear Tim tease Bruce.
“Tim calm down,” Dick got in between the two to get what this was about out of Tim, “Bruce could you clarify for us what’s happened?”
“I’m taking in a young man named Daniel Fenton, he just so happens to have blue eyes and black hair.”
There was a silence around the room before everyone burst out into laughter.
“You- hah- mean you didn’t know???”
“No I had forgotten, but I didn’t know I was related to the Fetons.”
“Wait, wasn't that the family from that town you were investigating?”
“Yes- the parents died in an accident. I said I could visit for a week before bringing him back with me to the manor- that could give me a chance to see what regular every day is for them.”
“Ohh, no. you’re not doing this without us!” It was Dick who spoke up and the rest made verbal agreements to what he said.
“No, someone needs to look after Gotham while I’m gone. I already planned to take Tim and Damien-”
“Well Barbra can look after Gotham while we go meet our new brother!”
“No.”
“Ye-”
“Let it go Grayson. Father said no.”
“You’re just saying that because you get to go!”
The boys fell into petty squabbling as Bruce contemplated his options, and, like a smartass, bruce decied- “Dick, you’ll come with me sense you’re so incistet-”
“Yes!”
“But that means that the rest of you have to stay in Gotham and no patrol for Damien.”
(“Awww-” “But father!” “Uhhhh”) Bruce did not address the distress around him as he left telling Dick to pack.
--------------------------------------------------------
Bruce and Dick landed and were driven to the hotel where Bruce told Dick to settle in and he headed off to the hospital. The talk with Jazz wasn’t very enlightening but he did tell the information to Dick as forewarning, then the two went to look for a place to eat for dinner.
The’re wasn’t many places around but they did find a quant ghost themed diner, the food was good- it was all around an uneventful day.
The two visited Danny rather uneventfully until Tuesday, two days after they arrived on Sunday.
/oooh clif hanger, I wonder what’ll happen~(no I don’t, I already know) I’ll post next time I find time/

Saturday, 8 February 1840
6 10/’’
3 5/’’
A-[Ann] awoke me to strike a light at 5 – Slept well and comfortably on my 2 mattresses placed on our 2 large portmanteaus and a box we found in our room – Breakfast now at 6 3/4 and all over at 7 1/2 Reaumur 6 1/2º in our room – A-[Ann] had felt cold, but had the stove been heated our little 7 ft.[feet] high room would have been an oven –
Off (from Manacowa) at 8 – Pretty undulating parky pine-wooded country Reaumur -13º lying at the open door on my side the Kibitka – Fine morning – As we drove off – Several little valleys and gullies as if beds of rivers and melting snow streams, and pass over several wood-bridges and little frozen lakes – Several villages – The good village and church of Tirêvĕnĭa (as pronounced) at 10; and another large village at a little distance –
Forests and wood Scotch fir with a little spruce and much birch and a little poplar, and a good deal of young oak-copse, or brush wood as yesterday – The most hilly stage we have had, and interesting corn country – Rather pointed caps today – What sort of Tartars? More snow on the road today than before – A line of birches (sometimes 2 lines) mark off the road 60 to 100 yards wide – Mills with sit sails -
At our next Station Osablicowa at 11 1/4 – Neat good house – A-[Ann] cold – Came in – Large good room – Wrote all the above of this p.[page] and we had the pot brought in       first time a great convenience –
Osablicowa pronounced Zabliski (pogosk or bourg) – Good church – Station just before entering the Town – Had just written so far – And the sun shining on my paper now at 11 50/’’ –
Off at 11 55/’’ – Do not enter the town at all – Leave it (go alongside) at a little distance with its 3 good churches finely situated along a high bank over valley between us as if over a river – Very pretty picturesque looking Town – In the valley just between us and the Town a large Tannery and great deal of leather hanging up today – Nice undulating country – The country probably began to improve upon us at Vladamir; and improves as we go along and at 12 40/’’ gallop over little frozen river and thro’ 2 white pillars, the boundaries between the Governments of Vladimir which we quit and Nijeniy which we enter –
At 1 3/4 at Jarilowo good, pretty small village or hamlet – Good Station-House – Canifs, knives &c. &c. the manufacture of the country offered to us for sale thro’ our Courier, but not wishing to buy any, nobody came to torment us, and we did not even see the things –
Off again (from Jarilowo) at 2 10/’’ and at 3 35/’’ pass thro’ good Town – picturesque – Having 3 handsome stone churches and at 3 3/4 pass (a little distance left) the good Monastery of Serkos as pronounced by our Courier – Enclosed by a wall with a round tower at each of the 4 corners – The great gateway passes under the tall picturesque pointed clocher, and behind at a little distance (in the middle of the Monastery enclosure?) a handsome looking church – But this Monastery tho’ handsome and picturesque as an object is a nutshell compared with Troitsa – Part of the wall high and loopholed but the penthouse (seen outside) spoils it – And great part of the wall is low and garden wall like –
At four incur a cross think loosely of [Pi-Mariana] as I always do now when she serves me for these purposes which I do not now give way to very often but I have had no opportunity of putting anything on nor have I washed once so that my shift is one clot and the hair is clotted together and this and the friction of jolting brought on erection which as I lay conveniently down in the bottom of the kibitka and A[Ann] sleeping I did not discourage found myself very large at night and glad of a wash and to get rid of my clotted chemise       never such a thing occurred to me in my life before –
From Jarilowo at 2 10/’’ to Aleschkowo at 4 50/’’ ∴[therefore] the Town was about 1/2 way and the Monastery ten minutes more than that – Neither marked on our map – Only the Post Towns and Stations marked but still the map is very full –
It seemed our Courier was dining ∴[therefore] we having alighted ordered tea – this and the 2 last Stations good – New, large good rooms – Tea at 5 40/’’ to 6 20/’’ – Paid the civil government Post-Master who came in – Put down on the table the 50 Kopek in silver, and he seemed well satisfied It is enough to give for Semovar and cream and use of room – Had to wait for the things repacking –
Off again at 6 40/’’ from 6 40/’’ to 8 55/’’ from Aleschkowo to Doskino slept the greater part of the way till A-[Ann] suddenly roused me to pick up our lantern which in one of the great jolts had come down with the iron bar on which the pockets are hung – Hardly anything is strong enough to bear such jolts – And when not these there is a strong tremulous motion like that on board a steamer near to the engine – A-[Ann] felt sickish she said once or twice and so did I – But I did not think of it, and it passed off in slumbers, for when crouching down in the bottom of the Kibitka, and propped up with our pillows &c. and having passed so few hours in feather-bed case, we sleep in spite of the jolts par excellence – Glad to pick up our lantern for fear of breakage and fire – We might be 1/2 or all out burnt to death before we could get out – The door pad-locked on A-‘s[Ann’s] side to keep it shut – And the door not opened in a moment on my side tho’ not locked – Held the lantern in my hand till we reached Doskino –
Off from there in 25 minutes at 9 20/’’ slept – At Nijeney at 1 10/’’ – The rooms to be 12/- per day – 3 rooms and little places of some sort close by including little anteroom might for our 3 men and one woman she (George’s wife) really very handy and attentive – A sofa in each of two rooms, and bois de lit and mattress in our middle room (salle à manger) but A-[Ann] put her mattresses on her sofa, and I mistrusting mine and bed stocks too put mine on chairs – Undressed and washed – Put on my usual night things and over these my Chelat – My Cossack sheep skin lined huge-sleeved pelerined pelisse, and lay down on my mattresses –
Soon after leaving Doskino last night – George came to beg we would walk down the hill – So steep, dangerous – Afraid we might be overturned! Declined the walking and reached the bottom safe – Looked out of my window the descent seemed steepish a high mound left and I could not what right – A-‘s[Ann’s] window blocked by herself and the glare of the wax light – Could only see out of my own by shading off the light, and putting my head out a little – But never dark – That is one can always see the road when there is so much snow on the ground and so many stars – More snow in the Government of Nijeney than in Moscow or Vladimir? But no great depth anywhere, and very little drifting – Very fine day –

I just found the first draft to Three Key Moments In The Life of Jack Fenton!
(Feel free to ignore. I just thought it was decent enough to share on here🙂)
When Jack Fenton looked back on everything that happened in his life, there were three main things that 100% shaped who he was as a person. Three things that he was sure made him who he was. That was it. Just three.
The first seemed a little obvious, his big sister died in front of him when he was eight years old. She was always there for him, always offering a smile and a funny story when he was sad. (“Don’t cry Jackie! Everything will be okay! Just you wait and see, things will get so much better.”) she always smelled like honeysuckle, her eyes were so bright and full of life. Everything about her was alive. And then, suddenly, she was gone. Dead. That changed everything. After that, nothing was the same. Pop didn’t seem to care how his son felt, (“Fenton men don’t cry. Think about how your mother feels right now. She just lost her only daughter!”) Ma didn’t really talk to him much after that, she barely even looked at him anymore. Neither of them noticed when he started looking into ghosts. When he started thinking that maybe ghosts are real. That maybe they really exist. What if Sara was still out there somewhere? What if he could find her again?
The second was meeting Vladamir Masters. Starting college was a big deal for him, and meeting his roommate was even bigger. Jack had been studying ghosts for years at this point, and was in the middle of developing a theory that ghosts weren’t the souls of the dead, but rather beings from some sort of parallel dimension. He didn’t want to bother anyone with this theory though. So when he met his college roommate, and Vlad found the theory, he was petrified. (“That’s kinda private man. I don’t think you’d find it interesting!”) But rather than being confused, or even amused by Jack’s theory, he was intrigued. (“Ghosts? Beings from another dimension? This is amazing! Do you need any help developing this further?”) Vlad was an amazing friend to Jack for years. They worked together on so much. Jack’s theory was only the tip of the iceberg that was their friendship. If he had the choice to go back and change any of that, he wouldn’t. If it wasn’t for Vlad, Jack and Maddie never would have met. No matter how they feel about each other now, Vlad will always be Jack’s number one best friend.
The third moment that shaped Jack Fenton, was becoming a father. When Maddie first told him she was pregnant, he was elated. He was so happy. They were gonna be parents! When he and Maddie were discussing names, he explained to her that if it was a girl, he wanted to name her Jasmine, after his sister. (“Sara Jazmine was my sister’s name, and I thought that maybe Jasmine would be a good way to remember her?”) And luckily Maddie was all for it. Holding Jazz for the first time, was Jack’s proudest moment for years. Then Danny was born. (“Daniel was my father’s name. I hope you don’t mind, you named Jazz, I name Danny?”) Once Danny was born their family was complete. And Jack knew, he knew right then and there that he would never ever, let his children doubt for even a second, that he loves them with all his heart. He would be the best father he could. Because those little ones running across the house, they deserved to have the best father. The best life. And he would do anything to give that to them.

Groaning Anticipation (Post 81) 3-25-15
Like Advent, Lent is a liturgical season of expectancy.  It is hard for me to fathom what kind of eagerness the angels must have felt for Jesus’ birth and then finally for God’s plan to unfold during Holy Week.  It is Catholic tradition that both the angelic and demonic figures had foreknowledge that the messiah would arrive on the scene at some point, but none of them knew the year or circumstance, so they just waited.  Persevering from the dawn of time until Jesus’s birth is pretty exceptional endurance.  This tenacious devotion erupts in a crescendo of celebration at the nativity and then again at Palm Sunday almost in the same way that a powerful football team charges into the stadium with triumph before the kickoff of a home game.  Engagement for the decisive contest has not yet begun, but Palm Sunday lights the final fuse so that the resolution of our salvation must follow its inevitable burning course, thus ending countless millennia of waiting by the entirety of creation.
Tumblr media
“And some of the Pharisees, from amongst the multitude, said to him: Master, rebuke thy disciples.  To whom he said: I say to you, that if these shall hold their peace, the stones will cry out” [Luke 19:39-40]
Waiting is a fundamental part of life.  I just returned from my second week-long Mid-Western foray in as many months.  Throughout that part of the country there is a palpable atmosphere of groaning anticipation for the coming of springtime.  They know that the ice will melt and the buds will bloom, but they are ready to get on with things even to the point of ignoring reality.  On the first Sunday of my visit, the temperature was about 32 degrees, but all the Ohioans showed up for 9:00 mass in windbreakers or sweatshirts. Their attitude was that if winter was determined to continue, it would have to do so without them.
A lot is made about how intolerant our society is of waiting. Over a mid-week lunch with my parents I confessed to my dad that I absolutely abhor one of his favorite plays, Waiting for Godot, to the same extreme that a liver and onions entry turns my stomach. I had chosen to see the play with my older brother Jim in high school on the wrong side of an eight hour plane ride and my appreciation of Samuel Beckett’s masterwork was ruined by my accidental and intermittent napping throughout the play.  Every time I woke up, the same two guys were still waiting for the third other guy who seemed to own the worst wristwatch imaginable. My jet lag seemed to have trapped me in their nightmarish allegory.  I recently saw the play on an internet list of literary works that could have been destroyed by a single text message. “Hey, Vladamir, got a text from Godot.  He says he’s not coming.”  I can’t imagine that a play that forces the audience to endure an interminable length of pointless insanity will reach the big screen soon in a financially successful way, but who knows.  Natalie made me take her to see the Sponge Bob Movie on my previous visit and I understand that it did very well.
Americans have historically been bad at waiting. Innovation continues to facilitate the erosion of our attention span.  Except for the Super Bowl, everybody now tapes television shows and fast forwards through the commercials.  During the one yearly televised football game that Pam used to tolerate, she preferred to fast forward through the football plays to get to the commercials and half-time show.  Younger people generally don’t fast forward through commercials because they are texting or otherwise occupied on their phones and have usually forgotten that they were watching television in the first place.
With regard to most virtues I don’t believe that God necessarily grades on a curve, but I am hopeful that Jesus will be understanding about my serial lack of patience when I receive my personal sit-down with him after I have shed this mortal coil.  For instance, the other day I stopped by Wiley’s to visit Nick and noticed that Zack was in the garage cleaning a brace of ducks that he had shot. I have never hunted any bird or animal and may have caught less than ten fish in my entire lifetime.  Zack is a young man who is willing to follow a multi-step process that begins with fashioning ammo and ends with a knife and a fork, while I have always preferred to obtain my eatable avian entries at one of several drive-thru windows.  It seems much less bothersome; I prefer to receive my meal dutifully cooked and packaged within thirty feet of squawking my order into an electronic megaphone.  I leave stalking, hunting, gathering, agricultural endeavors, and all culinary activities not involving a microwave to individuals with a much more mature temperament than I have developed.
God, though, is an expert instructor and prolific proponent of the art of waiting.  He made Abraham wait a hundred years for the birth of Isaac and was forever leaving the Jews in captivity or vassalage for decades or centuries. The angels, with perfect disposition, waited for the main feature without complaint, popcorn or snacks for billions of years, trusting in the goodness and mastery of God’s plan. For them, the perfection of the plan was the predicate, so impatience or second-guessing was an impossibility; there was only anticipation and excitement built upon a foundation of trust so firm that doubt in the plan was an impossibility due to their very nature from the moment that the entirety of the choirs chose up sides at the very beginning of time.  Truly the entire universe was created for and awaited Holy Week and Easter Sunday in particular when one small rabbit leaves colored eggs, chocolate candy and jelly beans for children throughout the world.  Also Our Savior died for our sins and was resurrected so that we might gain eternal life with Him as part of His Royal family.
In this season of Lent, on a personal level, I have been surprised at how much patience has been granted to me with regard to my job search. I can see how He has provided materially for he Donnelly family so that we have been able to enjoy almost a peaceful respite to the maelstrom of the last four or five years.  While it is possible that we are merely experiencing a deceptive calm akin to the eye of a storm, I don’t expect to ever return to the excruciation that we have endured for half of young Natalie’s life.  I trust that God’s plan is good, regardless of whether my personal cross is heavy or light.  Each member of our family has chosen The Lord in a fashion that while the election may not be irrevocable, it is hard to imagine the circumstance in which one of us decides to give atheism a go.
For us, there doesn’t seem to be any question about whether God exists or whether he loves us.  Nicholas’ journey gave us an understanding of the substitution of the ram for Isaac as logical conclusion of Abraham’s almost sacrifice was fulfilled and revealed on Good Friday and then redeemed and given meaning on the following Sunday.  The Donnelly’s know that consolation follows desolation because resurrection followed crucifixion.  While job loss is highly undesirable by most anyone who is working for a decent employer, as a desolation unemployment pales in comparison to several of the health and other challenges faced by many families at IHM this Lent.  Our family has an expectation that there is a solution on the way that will not take millennia, centuries or decades. Whether it takes weeks or months, God’s plan is God’s plan.  We will stay faithful and prepare for the solution that is surely coming although there will be no stones crying out – just updates to my Facebook and LinkedIn profiles.

I can’t WAIT to cover this Trump Jr. Thing because the lefties are pissing themselves like an excited chinchilla and its just so *precious* III We both know how short, murky, and 'he-said-she-said' the anti-Trump evidence has been, so when one of the few folks Big T trusts outright says he'd love to have an enemy of the US support the campaign with secrets on Hilary... you can see why they'd be excited. What Trump Jr. did by even replying positively to that message was High Quality Stupidity.
So before anything else, let’s take a long momentto enjoy that hysterical chinchilla-pissing, starting with thecomments in my own inbox:
Drumpf has only three options here. Disown hisson and send him on an all-expenses paid trip to NSGB, step down, orget impeached.
(BBC)world-us-canada-40571914 Welp. Donald’s son just screwed himself andhis dad over big time. Meeting someone described as a Russiangovernment official to get dirt on Hillary. And, well, “part ofRussia and its government’s support for Mr Trump”. Ruse or not,the intent from the campaign’s side is clear, and motive goes a longway in an investigation and court. Seems like the best thing to dowould be to throw Goldstone, and maybe Jr., to the investigators anddeny Trump had any awareness?
Now for The Left: After their hysterical, rabidpersecution of Trump failed to turn up anything formonths on end, theiranti-Russian obsession has reached “McCarthy” levels of paranoia(oh, the irony,) soplacing Trump Jr. in the same roomas a living Russian person from Russia fortwenty entire minuteshas them stroking off sofuriously it’s a wonder they haven’t given newly literal meaning to“liar liar pants on fire” yet. TimKaine, Rep.Seth Moulton (D-Mass), thereliably retarded NewYork Timesand theusual sniping from the never-Trump neocon camp are all calling ittreason. That’s aclaim so moronic that Salon.com (yes, Salon) hasan article pointing it out beforehurriedly burying the “vast right-wing collusion conspiracynarrative” theirown site’s been pushingwith the old “all Republicans are morons” line like a wee dogfuriously kicking sand over its scat. Meanwhile, CNN is once again ina class of its own - not because of their hysteria but becausethey’re nowreporting on what their right-wing news competitors are saying:
Raheem Kassam, editor-in-chief of BreitbartLondon, reacted to the story of Donald Trump Jr.’s newly-releasedemails in a way that wouldn’t typically be expected from someone atthe far-right outfit, which is a reliable supporter of PresidentTrump.
“So like, this is straight up collusion,”he wrote in the news outlet’s internal Slack, according to atranscript of the conversation obtained by CNN. “Right?”
Yes. Somehow, CNN knows what Brietbart is sayingon their own fucking internal Slack account. I guess hacking is okaywith CNN when they’re doing it - that is, assuming they’re not justmaking shit up again. But the best lines in that “coverage of thecoverage” were these:
Fox News’ first response was relative silence. While CNN and MSNBC went into full coverage on the story, Fox Newsonly briefly visited the topic before moving on to other news, thenreturning to it later.
Eventually, as the story developed, Fox beganto cover the revelations more aggressively. But the network neverwent into non-stop breaking news coverage as CNNand MSNBC did.
Non-stop, indeed. Given that thefacts can be related in literally 23 words (shady Russian lobbyistscores meeting by promising Trump Jr. Hillary dirt, babbles aboutadoption treaties for twenty minutes before being shown the door,) weall know that it was the same as CNN’s usual “non-stop breakingnews coverage” of anything:
Tumblr media
But not that fucking Fox News, oh no! Theyreported the facts, and then moved on and came back later, afterthey’d found more facts, toreport those. Andthey call themselves journalists.Tsk.Therealjournalists are hunting down everyonewho was standing in the room, everyone who might have possibly known someone standing in the room, andlabeling them “mastersof the dark arts.” That is not a joke. That is the actualfucking headline. YERA WIZARD, DONNY! THE VODKA DRINKERSARE COMIN FOR YA! Finally,an immigrant the Democrats don’t like. Maybe extreme vetting would’vefound his DarkMarktattoo in time, eh? Or maybe the Azkabanstamp in his passport? Isthat a wand in yer pocket or do you have Hillary’s e-mails for me? Oh, man. But the absolute bestpart of all this is how they’re pawing at everyone’s shins andwhining and spinning little circles because nobody else wants to play- theWaPo is whining about how Trump’s still bullying them as Fake Newsand CNN’s whiningabout those damn pro-Trump media outlets doubting the meeting evenhappened. How can they keep getting away with it? Maybe becausethe mainstream media is sodistrusted nowthat morethan half of Trump’s supporters don’t even believe the meetinghappened, despite Trump Jr. verifying it andreleasinghis e-mails about it.
Allof this - all the tail-chasing, frenzied yapping and excitedurination - is absolutely hilarious, becauseit all amounts to fucking nothing. If Vladamir Putin himself had been lowered from the sky by a chorusof singing angels, moonwalkedto the top floor of Trump Tower and handed Trump all of Hillary’ssecrets engraved on sacred stone tablets, it’d still amount to jackshit. It’sthe same basic fact that’s undermined the left’s vague “collusion”narrative from the beginning - itdoesn’t matter one damn bit who dug up Hillary’s misdeeds in theelection, because theevidence proves it’s true. Hillarywas damaged by her owncampaign’s internal e-mails - youknow, the bald and unvarnished truth of a fawningmedia’s collusion, solicitations of multimillion dollar campaigndonations from the heads of foreign governments and what Democratsreally think of minority voters. 1 + 1 still equals 2 even ifHitler’s the one drawing it on the blackboard. That’s precisely whythe left has relied on constant dark rumor-mongering using a specificscary word, “collusion,” that connotes all manner of shadydealing and wicked deals on the docks at midnight - even though“collusion”literally isn’t a crime. In other words, Robert Mueller - whomeven WaPo admits is trapped in a rad bromance with Comey, andwho’s staffing his Special Probe withlawyers that donated almost exclusively to Democrats -literally has nothing to investigate. Buteven the court of public opinion can’t convict, because no matter howyou look at it, standing in the same room as two Russians for 20minutes isn’t collusion.
Thedefinition of collusion, accordingto Merriam-Webster, is “secret agreement orcooperation especially for an illegal or deceitful purpose.”Note the agreementor co-operation bit. Assenior CNN producer John Bonifield was caughton tape openly admitting, it’s common knowledge that governmentsare alwaystrying to influence politics - and even elections - in othercountries. After all, aCongressional investigation found that Obama’s State Department gavehundreds of thousands of dollars in grants to an Israeli advocacygroup trying to oust Prime Minister Netanyahu (who refused tokiss Obama’s ass on the Iran nuclear deal,) so it’s not a bigsurprise or anything. Nor is meeting with agents of a foreigngovernment, considering that a Ukrainian-American Democratic NationalCommittee operative was caught meeting with theUkrainian embassy in Washington to try and sabotage Trump. Thepredictable justifications (Ukrainians are the Good Guys and Russiaare the Bad Guys) ignore that Ukraine is a big, ugly, corrupt mess, and that the pro-Russian rebels that Putin’spretending his regular Russian army units are actually doexist (just not nearlyin those numbers) and that the Russian intelligence services - andcrony capitalism oligarchy - doubtlessly have tentacles everywhere inthe beleaguered nation. Afterall, left-wingers were whining about Trump’scampaign manager Manafort meeting with Ukrainian businessmen, anda senior Democratic PAC adviser was attacking Scott Walker forreceivingdonations from a “pro-PutinUkrainian businessman,” so clearly they’re not above suspicion- according to theexact same people who were chumming with them, at least!
Lefties havealways known this all amounts to jack diddly shit, which is whythey’ve been using the word collusion, specifically. As I’vesaid before, the way the media get onto the same page - nay, theexact same buzzword, nighinstantly, is never an accident. “Collusion”by definition means “agreement or co-operation.”Governments influencingothers elections by slipping favored candidates tips on theiropponents dirty laundry is nothing new. Governmentsaiding one campaign in return for agreed-upon favors at a later dateis another. Democratsare alleging that Trump and co. sold out to the Russians, so nowthey’re in Putin’s pocket. Thatwas the point of the lurid fanfiction document about Russian hookerspissing on Trump, to allege that he was “vulnerableto Russian blackmail,” and that’s why Democratsand the US intelligence community deliberately spread that pack oflaughable lies around. And they knowthisisan impossibly ludicrous thing to sell, which is why they keeprepeating vague ominous nothings about “collusion” and keepreporting on everything Trump does in the context of the imaginary“ominous cloud” they’ve industriously created themselves for the express intent of throwing shade.
I delayed this post for a bit just to collect morecommentary in my inbox - and not just because it was hilarious(DRUMPF BLOWN OUT ZOMG LOL) but because I hoped it’d be revealing. And indeed it was: consider this one again:
And, well, “part of Russia and itsgovernment’s support for Mr Trump”. Ruse or not, the intent fromthe campaign’s side is clear, and motive goes a long way in aninvestigation and court.
Every single news story I’ve seen on it havequoted almost those exact lines - the Russian’s email proclaiming hispotential offer as “part of Russia and its government’s support,”and Trump Jr’s skeptical approval, “if it’s what you say it is, Ilove it.” This is what they’re trying to spin as “intent tocollude.”
So how about wereadthe actual goddamn emails, eh?

Good morning
Emin just called and asked me to contact youwith something very interesting.
The Crown prosecutor of Russia met withhis father Aras this morning and in their meeting offered toprovide the Trump campaign with some official documents andinformation that would incriminate Hillary and her dealings withRussia and would be very useful to your father.
This is obviously very high level and sensitiveinformation but is part of Russia and its government’s support forMr. Trump - helped along by Aras and Emin.
What do you think is the best way to handlethis information and would you be able to speak to Emin about itdirectly?
I can also send this info to your father viaRhona, but it is ultra sensitive so wanted to send to you first.
Best

There it is, inas many words - an offerto expose Hillary’s shady connections with “Russia.” That’san outright offer to provide dirt - and as LizPeek points out, this offer came shortly after the book “ClintonCash” was published, which exposed a shit-ton of the ClintonFoundation’s lucrative dealings with Russian businessmen. Even theHillaryapologists at politifact couldn’t deny that Bill Clinton receiveda half millionfucking dollar speaking fee forgiving a speech - from a Russian investment bank calledRenaissance Capital which isvery, very much tight with the Kremlin:
Personal connections and a commitment to Russiahave proved critical to Renaissance. Jennings and other execs got toknow many junior officials in the early 1990s who have risen tosenior positions in the Kremlin and at the central bank. RenaissanceDeputy Chairman Robert Foresman has advised state-owned Gazprom, giving him access to Prime Minister Vladimir Putin’s inner circle. At a Renaissance investor conference in June speakers includedFinance Minister Alexei Kudrin and Arkady Dvorkovich, aide to RussianPresident Dmitry Medvedev.
Andlet’s not forget Sergei Magnitsky, a Russan lawyer whofingered Renaissance Capital as part of a massive government-involvedtax fraud scheme, was arrested by said government, then murdered inprison to keep him silent. These guys are dirty as hell.
Nospeech, not even from God himself, is worth a half-millionfucking dollars a pop. That’sa hefty ass-kissing “donation”, any way you look at it - and beforeHillary became Secretary of State, Bill pulled down that half-miljust twice. After she became SecState, he got a half-mill forspeeches eleventimes.
Anddid I mention that Bill wasbeing paid a half-million dollars for fucking nothing around the sametime Hillary was pushing for approval for Russiato buy a controlling interest in Uranium One, one of the largesturanium mines in America?
Nowconsider that - given Russia’s crony capitalism/mafia stylegovernment (as exemplified by Renaissance Capital’s tight ties withthe Kremlin) and the constant murder of journalists or anyone elsewho could spill the details on these things (including Magnitskyhimself,) the only people who wouldhave this informationwould be “The Russian Government.” That’sexactly why the email offer mentioned it - it was mandatory to bebait the hook.
Andthis is why the media have very, very carefully omitted that lineabout Hillary’sconnections with Russia, andexactly why Trump Jr. tweeted out the emails himself - becauseit makes it screamingly obvious that his “intent” was to getproof of Hillary’s shady dealings and misdeeds. Hedidn’t promise any favor trading with the Russians, he didn’t promiseto to give them “special consideration,” and he didn’t promise tohost Putin’s fucking birthday party, either. That isn’t“collusion,” by definition.
Mindyou, the Russians were definitely up to no good. The lawyer,Natalia Veselnitskaya, spent all her time in Washington and environslobbying against anti-Russian sanctions -after receiving special clearance to enter the country fromLoretta Lynch herself. (Gee,ain’t that funny?) Oncethere, she spent most of her time trying to lobby for “making itlegal for Americans to adopt Russian orphans again,” banned by aRussian law that was retaliation for what she reallywanted to lobby against, the Magnitsky Act - economic sanctions onRussia, named after the whistleblower murdered after he ratted on thecompany that later stuffed 500 million dollars into Bill Clinton’ssticky pockets. Thiseditorial details why the Magnitsky Act really chaps Putin’s ass,but that act itself, likethe orphans/adoption thing, just a way to open up the topic ofanti-Russian economic sanctions. Considering that the ~masterof the dark arts~Americancitizen lobbyist that translated for her is ex-KGB, and thatNatalia droppedher promised Evidence On Hillary to launch right into her lobbyingspiel, it’s pretty clear what the goal was. Most likely, she wasshilling the same Kremlin bullshit she’d pushed everywhere else, withthe promised Evidence Of Hillary’s Crimes a bullshit lie to get inthe door. Or at absolute worst, she was trying to dangle a potentialpromise of ~evidence~ in return for potential or implied promises ofTrump’s future administration to lower sanctions on Russia (whichhe’s refused to do, by the way.) At best she was wasting TrumpJr’s. time, and at worst she was trying to solicit a deal - i.e.,collusion.
Andthat’s about when Trump Jr. showedher the door.
Evena fucking dog figuresout that you didn’t actually throw that ball after a few seconds oflooking for it, but the media’s still yapping like they finallycaught that invisible car they’ve been chasing. They’reso completely and utterly absorbed by their own narrative thatthey’ve come to believe it themselves. It’d be cute if they weren’tgrown adults with collegedegrees, you know? IfSatan himself had slithered out of a flaming crevasse andhanded Trump Jr. Hillary’s banking statements on a dead-babyparchment scroll, it still wouldn’t fucking matter unless they hadTrump Jr. signature on a contract selling his soul for it. Andwhat they’ve got now is a campaign operative saying “fuck yes Iwant an October surprise to dunk my opponent with!” Andthis is before you getto the Democrats colluding with Ukrainians at the same time they wereattacking Ukrainians on Trump’s side for being evil andsuspicious, before you weigh theClintons having a corrupt Kremlin-complicit bank stuffing cashin Bill’s pocket as Hillary sells out our biggest fucking uraniummine to the Russians, and before you weigh Loretta Lynch personallygiving that Evil Russian Lawyer permission to enter the country inthe first place.
Andthey honestly don’t understand why nobody believes them. Thegiggles that keep on giving. It’s amazing.

Waking up I was met by Mark staring at me “good morning” he said I smiled at him “morning” I said slowly getting up from my bed “let’s go for a walk” Mark said “but the sun’s out” I said, he shrugged “so” I nodded and we started walking out of my dorm. Walking over to Vladimir’s statue in the courtyard “come on, over here” I said pulling Mark’s hand “Before the accident, my father used to say that for a Moroi not declaring a magic is like not going through puberty.” Mark said looking up at the statue “Yeah, and he also used to say practice during the day while the world, your world, is sleeping. Let’s make some magic.” I said. Grabbing a stick that was on the floor. Mark looked at the stick, then the stick court on fire so I dropped it on the floor then water came out of no where then the ground shook causing the stick to bounce off the ground and the air around made it stay there “perfect, water earth fire and air. That’s my Moroi” I said putting my hand up waiting for a high five “Y/N….” Mark said laughing “don’t leave me hanging” I said walking closer “Y/N you know how I feel about high fives”. At that moment Yugyeom walked over to us “its 11:00 am you both should be in bed. The sun has cleared the trees, and it won’t be kind, Your Highness.” Yugyeom said smirking “shouldn’t you be asleep as well?” I asked “well I was bored so I went for a walk. What are you two up too?” He asked raising an eyebrow at us “if people didn’t know any better that they think you two where on a little date”  he said laughing the both of us laughed with him “yeah yeah whatever” I said rolling my eyes starting to walk off in to the school. Sitting in the library reading while Mark was across from me. Distracted by the book I was reading Mark finally spoke “what element should I pick?” He asked, putting my book down I looked at him thinking “well what do you want to use more?” I asked. He shrugged “I have no idea”. “You could go for fire with me” Bambam said all a sudden sitting next to me making me jump, I hit his arm “don’t do that God. You almost gave me a heart attack” I said holding my hand to my chest, he laughed “sorry” he said putting his head on my shoulder I push him off “hey why do you let Mark be clingy to you and not me?” He asked “what I don’t let anyone be clingy. What you on about” I said looking at him “just saying anyway did you hear about that rumour” Mark instantly looked at Bambam “what rumour?” I looked at Marks face he looked panicked “oh so apparently Y/N has the name of ‘blood whore’ since you two are so close” Bambam said Mark stood up storming out the door, I looked at Bambam “what was that about, what’s a blood whore?” I asked he shrugged “hopping you knew” he said standing up and leaving so I just went back to my book. Walking down a corridor I noticed people looking at me i just ignored them. I ended up bumping in to Yoongi “hey” I smiled Yoongi looked at me “blood whore” he said walking away from me i just stared at him shocked. Today so far was terrible no one talked to me even Mark disappeared for the day, I was getting annoyed with the whispering around me. Getting in class Mark was there with Jackson and Jungkook talking, walking up to them I sat down between Mark and Jackson they both stopped talking and looked at me “what, why are people ignoring me?” I asked Jackson sighed “it’s because your being called a 'blood whore’ Y/N” Jackson said “what is a 'blood whore’ anyway?” I asked getting annoyed “Y/N a blood whore is when a Moroi drinks the blood of a Dhampir, it’s not right and the fact you and Mark are so close people started to think, even though nothing is going on” Jungkook said “you don’t understand how serious that is Y/N I’ve been in the head masters office trying to convince him that nothing like that actually happened ok” Mark said I looked at them “WHAT!?” I said getting angry “calm Y/N it’s fine it’s done and dusted” Mark said putting a hand on my shoulder. I nodded looking at the teacher that just walked in ready to start the lesson. The thing that got me worrying is Mark has drunk my blood before after the accident of his family he ran away, I went to look for him and in me comforting him, he bit my neck and and drank my blood, but no one knew unless someone saw us that night, but it still doesn't explain why now, that was a year ago. I was stuck in my room when a knock on the door startled me “come in” I said siting up straight, Jackson walked in “hey how are you doing?” He asked sitting down next to me. I sighed leaning my head on Jackson shoulder “well I’m annoyed pissed and going to punch someone, what do you think?” I said Jackson just sighed and put he's arms around me "I'm sorry about what's happened today" he said rubbing my arm. I looked up at him "why are you apologising? You didn't start the rumour" I said feeling more comfortable and safe with him "I know but I'm your friend and I didn't support you when you needed it" he said kissing the top of my head I sighed breathing in his sent "it's fine I don't blame you" I said starting to fall asleep. I felt Jackson chuckle "good night Y/N and ..." he said something else but I was to far gone to hear the rest of what he said.
