Day 18 - Favorite Villain

Counselor Viza just seems like the most interesting villain. I don’t know if it’s the Black Trigger he holds or maybe it’s just the way he talks that makes me think that if we were to get a backstory, his would be so cool to delve into. Something about how he came to be the Organon wielder. How Yuma stacks up to the other people hes battled with the Organon. Things like that that could explain why Viza is the way he is.

I don’t know, he’s just a cool villain, y’know? Mentor to Hyuse, enemy to Yuma, one of the only allies Hyrein seems to care about, the other two being Lamvanein and Mira. Lamvanein is also a cool villain, and he’s probably the most tolerable of all of them (at least imo) besides Viza.

Its story is based on the manga's fourth arc of the same name. After advance sales from may 13 to June 19, general sales of the tickets will begin on July 2.

Chapters 60-62

This really does apply to SO many world trigger fights. The thought into the environment and psychology and circumstances Ashihara does is so good. Most shounen authors couldn’t even hope to compare

We interrupt this battle commentary to bring you Arafune jumping from exploding buildings part 2

Ashihara does team fights really well to. Also remember in the anime when they drew this moment out for fucking ever to stretch the material. The anime was a damn shame and a waste of a fantastic manga.

Things I appreciate Number 1: Ashihara leaving a whole spread for this awesome panel. He’s using linear perspective for this, with the vanishing point in the Y axis with Viza and the horizon line being actually below his face. Usually in linear perspective with figures in it, the horizon line is around the height of the figures themselves. (This is common in a lot of early renaissance art, where there was a shift to focus on the human figure itself for example). However, here Viza is partially above the horizon line, which draws attention to the surroundings and the literal buildings being sliced into pieces above him. It really emphasizes the sheer destructiveness of this moment. Not to mention the lighting is absolutely phenomenal

And here the blades are seen orbiting, rather than originating from Viza like Reiji was expecting. Very nice, minor detail that should tip viewer’s off about Organnon’s abilities before they’re explained

World Trigger: Season 1 Episode 29 Viza and Hyuse continue to pursue Chika, but Yuma and Jin arrive just in time. Yuma faces off against Viza while Jin battles Hyuse. Osamu and Karasuma lead Chika and the C-rank agents to Border HQ. However, Enedora's rampage has the HQ in chaos!

More Hyuse Time~the latest chapter (Ch. 196 got me so giddy~~)

World Trigger: Ch. 160 ~ Hyuse ④

Ikoma is intrigued and decides to challenge Hyuse too~~Hmmmmmm, he has the same face regardless, geez. Anyways, it ends up being Iko’s loss because he uses his Whirlwind skill when this battle was meant to be only swords and no fancy stuff. Love Hyuse’s reaction when Iko cut him down though, lol. Anyways, Koarai is VERY invested in this one-on-one against Hyuse thing because he just wants all those top attackers to come have a match with him XD

Tachikawa makes an appearance and beats Hyuse. I’m very interested in seeing how Hyuse fairs against the others in the Top 4. Tokieda mentions that Ikoma’s No. 6--so Hyuse pretty much has an idea of where he’s at amongst the top Attackers. Haha, and I guess Konami doesn’t care much for the rankings that come after her. She’s No. 3 but can’t be bothered to keep up with who’s No. 6, lol. Torimaru mentions that it’s either Ikoma or Yukimaru (we haven’t met him yet). But~~she does acknowledge Hyuse’s skills so that’s good. 

Finally! Uniforms! It’s the new Tamakoma-2!! 

This is kinda a spoiler for a future chapter (when Hyuse chooses which main/sub Triggers to use), but just wanted to mention how I always thought Hyuse would’ve been like a Shooter-type because of Lampyris, but we find out here that he learned to use the sword under Viza. I think I probably missed the details from this chapter during the first read.

Did I mention how much I love Hyuse and Yotaro’s friendship? Yotaro is like Hyuse biggest fan and proudest “senpai”~lol.

World Trigger: Ch. 74-76

These few chapters seem to focus on the strong ones who end up being a little helpless to their fates 0__0

World Trigger: 74-76 ~ Kyosuke Karasuma, Invasion ㉑, Shuji Miwa

Poor Torimaru. He’s pretty intuitive, knowing that Jin gave Reiji some advice about what was going to happen. It’s a little sad that Jin had to be frank with him and told him that he wouldn’t be in a position where he’d make a direct difference to Chika and Osamu’s fate, AND that he would be defeated too. This was probably the most emotions I saw coming out from him too (not even when he was thinking of how the Neighbor attacks were heading in the direction of his house). And the worst part of all this was that he realizes he played right into the enemies’ plans too :/

Finally, we reached the point where Jin’s visions about Miwa are coming to pass! I think Miwa was harsh on Osamu, not because of him stubbornly not wanting to do as Jin “asks” but also he was reminded of his own past and didn’t want Osamu to regret “depending on others” if Chika doesn’t make it. I think that’s probably what had happened to him when he asked Jin to help him when his sister was dead/dying. 

And poor Yuma. Even though he’s fighting with Viza, who’s probably the strongest one in this group, Viza’s doing like background work atm.

World Trigger: Ch. 67-69

Hmmm. I wonder who watches the Aftokrator ship while Mira goes around teleporting her countrymen...

World Trigger: Ch. 67-69 ~ Invasion ⑯, Aftokrator ③, Osamu Mikumo ⑧ 

It’s very interesting seeing how some of the agents interact with one another. Yoneya, Shun, and Izumi have caught up with Karasuma, Osamu, & co. And Izumi’s sorta teasing Torimaru who’s got his own comeback for him. I wonder if they were at the same team (or rival team probably) at one point back when Torimaru was in HQ. It’s a breath of fresh air seeing selfish ambition shelved once in a while, which allows things like friendly/healthy rivalry to happen (like the recent Karasuno vs Nekoma match in Haikyu). 

And of course, along with friendly rivalry, seeing teamwork happen is great too. Chika offers her near-endless supply of Trion for Osamu---and this is what we can expect to see should Osamu is capable of if he ever gets that much Trion at his disposal... or what Chika can do should she ever decide to become a Shooter instead, lol. Again, Izumi shows off more Shooter tricks via the Gimlet, which is perfect for these Rabits with super high defense. 

Finally, Hairein joins the battle, and he’s wrecking everything in sight >__< his Trigger is too OP. Poor Chika getting cubified. And poor Osamu too, he was getting really confident, but that turned around and bit him back.

Replica-sensei to the rescue! I would really love to learn more about him in general. Viza mentioned he was a Tropoi Trion Soldier, so he’s gotta be specific to that country right? Are there others just like Replica, or is he like unique because Yugo created him??

    Three months ahead of its opening in Tokyo, the official website for World Trigger the Stage: Large-Scale Invasion Arc, the forthcoming second show of the stage play adaptation of Daisuke Ashihara's sci-fi action manga World Trigger, has posted a main visual featuring its 26 main cat members altogether. It depicts the members of Border as they fight off a large-scale invasion launched by Aftokrator, one of the largest military powers in the Neighbor World.

World Trigger: Ch. 63-66

We’re almost at the climax of this arc!

World Trigger: Ch. 63-66 ~ Invasion ⑫-⑬-⑭-⑮

On Jin & Reiji’s conversation: Jin says how Konami’s not going to run away even when told to do so. I wonder how much of it is her actual personality, or her experiences with Old Border, pretty sure it’s a combination of the two. 

And poor Yotaro. He can seem a little annoying but he just has a lot of pride in Tamakoma, knowing that they’re the very best. 

Jin and Yuma finally join in on the battle!! Exciting things to come!! Viza reveals that they are attacking other neighboring nations as well. So their country’s defenses must be even more compromised cuz they must have sent more of their Trigger users to lead these missions. Desperate times indeed.

Suwa is back! It would have sucked if he stayed cubified forever XD And now the fun part begins now that they’ve tricked Enedora into their training room. Not only do they get to buy some time, they can also analyze his Trigger and figure out the right counterattack.

Looks like Shinoda is ready for action too!! Yay.
