Snow nodded, "Easier said than done if I'm completely honest... I'll definitely try though," said Snow, "Honestly, I just want to spend time with my friend here, we don't get to hang too often, seeing as we live in completely different regions, but that's all the more reason to make it count!"

(Askthewhiterocket) “Mon Dieu!” Meg gasped in surprised as she caught sight of Vivian. Kyo had told her to expect the presence of a lot of legendaries at the event but actually seeing them, let alone Xerneas of all things, was a whole other experience.

“Donneur de Vie!” she said with a slight curtsy, “How blessed this event is to have you in attendance. I wasn’t aware you had awoken from your slumber, but I suppose ones as great and powerful as you deserve their privacy most of all. What brings you to this event?”

Vivian looked down at the two humans that had approached xem. Xe could tell at a glance that they didn't mean any harm. Deciding that xeir current form would prove... complications when communicating (especially since xe hadn't quite gotten the hang of telepathy), xe decided to take on their humanoid appearance for the moment.

Focusing xeir aura, xeir body began to light up, the crystals on xeir antlers taking on a brilliant, multicolored glow, akin to that of other Xerneas. Gradually, xeir silhouette began to shrink and change shape, before finally the light faded, revealing xeir gijinka form.

"Apologies for the lightshow. I just find it much easier to talk to humans like this. I just simply came to see the Magi and to interact with some of the other Pokémon. Though seeing a human here besides the hosts, while a bit of a surprise, is definitely a welcome one."

" Hello miss... Reshi, is it? I appreciate your kindness towards Mint. If you ever need something, I am happy to lend you my aid. I just... know you've had a rough night. Just... "

Xe tried to think of something to say. They didn't want to say something that would upset the Dragon-type further... It didn't help that they didn't really know the details of what had happened...

" You have those that care about you. I know Mint definitely enjoyed speaking with you at this gala, brief as it was. "

Reshi wasn’t sure how to respond. Things seemed to improve and then wind back down for her. It was rocky.

Knowing how many people came to her aid and cared, despite not knowing her, was comforting. Yet most of them were still just that, stangers. She really didn’t know most of them outside this event, and those who did know her personally were busy with their own affairs. She didn’t fault them for that, in truth she was glad they didn’t notice. The embarassment would be far worse if her friends knew what she had done rather than if they were unawares.

That wouldn’t be the truth though, would it?

“Do not fret over my affairs, I’ll be alright from here on out I believe.” She stated, giving the fellow legend a smile. “I just have alot to think about when I return home. I don’t think I was prepared for such an event this soon after awakening. But that’s ok, I can’t change that now.”

Mayhaps she didn’t have as many friends as she wanted, however that didn’t mean she couldn’t make more before the night was over. There were legends here who cared about her at the very least, that meant something.

Mint gave a small nod and, wiping the tears that were forming from her eyes, she bid the Magi farewell, returning to the Xerneas a little bit away.

"Good to see you again. Did you get the answers you needed, Mint?"

Mint thought about what she'd been told... She didn't really get it all that much, but she figured she'd understand it sooner or later.

"I'm not sure. They were pretty cryptic..."

"Oh?"

"But just, getting that out of my system... I think it really helped me..."

"That's good to hear. With that done, shall we be leaving? I believe we arrived right at the end of the event..."

"Yea... Let's go..."

The two began to leave into the forest, but just before the entrance, Mint looked over her shoulder, a small smile on her face.

"Thanks..." She said, hoping the Magi could hear her. A few tears had already formed at the corner of her eye again. "I'll keep what you guys said in mind..."

With that, she took her leave after the Fairy-type, hoping to be able to return next year.

Mint just sets down an offering of some berries, some water that she'd purified with the help of the Xerneas sleeping a short distance away, and a scarf that she had knitted as an offering to the Magi. The scarf itself was a bit messily made, but it's clear she put her whole heart into making it. She had no idea if they had physical forms behind that light, so she didn't know if they could even wear it. She just hoped they appreciated it.

Slowly, she began to speak, bits of the vulnerability she tried to hide with all her might slipping through the cracks.

"And they always they tell me to not put so much pressure on myself, to go at my own pace, even try to stop me from pushing myself harder and harder, but it doesn't help. I just want to measure up to them. I want to pull my weight!! I want…" She paused to steady her nerves, trying to regain her composure. Even around the Magi, she seemed to have her guard up. "... I want to be helpful to people… I can't do any of that stuff. I can barely even fight, and that's one of the simplest things there is…" She sat there in silence for a good while, just taking a moment to properly form her question.

"I know I'm just jealous and impatient, I need to know from someone who won't sugarcoat the truth for my sake..." She began, her voice barely above a whisper. "Will I ever amount to much... to anyone...?"

[Before Mint could even consider regretting the choice in question, the trio take very little time in fashioning a crown of flowers-gladiolus, strength and faith.]

Having purpose in the way one perceives is often hard, the journey never ends as your meaning of worth and purpose will change with experience.

Patience and perseverance will lead the way for you.

Okay, the official list of aura wielder characters (excluding OCs) in the chroniclerverse, categorised by the fangame they appeared in. But before I begin, a quick rundown on the terminologies used in this AU and what they meant.

Mageia: the most common subtype of Aura Wielders. They derive their powers through a deep spiritual bond with their partner Pokemon, known as a Bond Partner. Appearance-wise they are virtually identical to ordinary humans, and can easily blend in among human society.

Bond Partner: a Pokemon that is bonded to an Aura Wielder. For Mageia, finding a Pokemon willing to Bond with them is a rite of passage and a proof of their character.

Anima: a rarer subtype of Aura Wielder, having the ability to assume the form of a Pokemon. Unlike Mageia, they have some physical characteristics which distinguish themselves from ordinary humans, namely their pointed ears, clawed feet and their tendency to walk on their toes. For this reason, they tend to shy away from human contact and preferred to keep to their own kind.

Eikon: a variant of Anima, referring to specific Anima with the form of a Legendary or Mythical Pokemon. They are the rarest and arguably the most powerful subtype, and only one Eikon may exist for each Legendary at any given time. They typically are seen as leaders in Aura Wielder communities.

Sidhe: the term Aura Wielders use to refer to their own kind. In their language, it roughly translates to "people of the stars".

Elle veille sur l’aspect religieux de Fearnos, une cité située au cœur de la Forêt de Bréliande. Souvent brumeuse du fait de la proximité du Miroir aux Fées, c’est un sanctuaire idéal pour les créatures magiques de type Fée et bon nombre de légendes entourent ces lieux. À ses côtés vivent Myrddin, le Jarl de Bréliande, un maître Enchanteur qui s’occupe de l’aspect séculaire de la châtellerie ; et Elowen, Grande Prêtresse de Xerneas, fille de Fintan Silvynis et mère de Viviane. Inutile de dire que les petits-enfants de Fintan seront heureux de la retrouver lorsque leur périple Pokémon les mènera à elle. L’Augure a des liens étroits avec le clergé d’Ynis Witrin et a mis au point des enchantements de brume que seuls ceux capables de les rompre pourront traverser. Le lac du Miroir aux Fées abrite d’ailleurs un sanctuaire où est conservé le savoir permettant de dissiper les brumes, ainsi qu’un Cristal du Savoir, un objet permettant de garantir au Pokémon qui le tient la moitié des gains d’expérience pour chaque créature vaincue, que ce soit par lui ou un allié.

Vivian was just a child when she met Xerneas, no more than six. It was a few months before she moved to Alola with her grandparents. One of cousins by marriage was acting bratty at a party, bullying Vivian when no one saw. This so called cousin "accidentally" spilt juice all over Vivian's pretty blue dress.

Upset, Vivian ran deep into the gardens of the estate, tripping ripping her silk stockings and skinning knees and palms. There she laid sobbing. Her pretty new dress was ruined. Mama and Papa would be so upset after she promised to take care of such a pretty gift.

Soon, colorful lights surrounded Vivian causing her to gasp and sit up. They danced and bobbed, causing the child to laugh in delight. Vivian reached out of one and it landed in her palm, healing her scraps and bruises.

"Be at easy, my dearest child. My Vivian. My champion.”  

That’s when Xerneas appeared. Not long after her grandparents found her. Knowing what had happened they took Vivian home naming her the true heiress of the family.

If one was quiet enough they could hear Vivian's beautiful singing in Kalosan. An odd hour for someone to be standing in an opening in the woods and singing. Suddenly,a dim light filled the forest as Xerneas stepped forward. Vivian bowed her head in respect before lifting her hand. The legendary Pokemon gently touched her forehead to Vivian's palm. A voice filled the clearing, sweet and pure as a baby's first giggle. "Well met, my chosen champion."

Now and then, the Triad were to observe annoyances and opponents of Ghetsis, an investigative job they’d done since they grew to become his bodyguards.  It was far less necessary nowadays–he was hidden enough and was still scarce enough with his interactions that he had few…’active enemies,’ so to speak.

Vivian was considered an annoyance, a pest, more than anything.  She likely saw herself as a threat, but she wasn’t one at present.

Although…this did add some intrigue.  Perhaps not a threat, but…intrigue.

It seemed ridiculous that a legendary Pokémon–one as busy as Xerneas, responsible for overseeing life in this universe–would simply come at the call of a mere human’s song, would allow itself to be pet like some kind of Lillipup… .  But, well, there it was.

Curious.

The Triad remained in their invisible and mostly indetectable state, no more apparent than any other living thing in the woods, and observed.

Xerneas…was an asset.  Certainly something that Ghetsis could benefit from.  It would be strong against most all of their Pokémon should it be engaged in combat–but they also had the advantage of greater numbers and attacks that would be heavily effective against it.  Ghetsis could surely tell them more things about Xerneas–in particular, that weakening it would turn it into its tree form…a form that released a thousand years worth of life into the world…could Ghetsis…acquire all of that?

…There was much to be considered.  Were they emotional entities, they may have scoffed, though they remained curious.  ‘Chosen champion?’  What kind of significance–worth–could this woman hold towards such a strong source of life itself?

Ghetsis would be able to make far better use of it.

…But for now they would observe undetected.  Learn what they could as usual.

Vivian just made herself an even greater target and gave them more reason to do her harm.

And just like that Daisy the Xerneas appears in her human form and is holding on to Vivian protectively. "You have your Kahuna. Keep your hands of my champion!" She sounds like a protective mother. Forgive her Tapu!

“Then go away and mind your own business!”

"Don't worry. My classmates tried to start rumors that I was actually a fairy pokemon because how much fruit I ate at lunch. I may ties to the fea, but that doesn't mean my family slept with them." She calmly sipped her coffee. No. Her family just worshipped Xerneas and won the legendary's favor that gave them fea in their veins. Nothing serious.

              M is just confused as he tilted his head. Curious to know what prompted Vivian to say something like this as he was a man with gyarados blood in him...

                          “But I don’t see how fruit goes with fairies? We didn’t really grow                            up with legends of fairies.”

Mint was sitting opposite from her teacher in a barren field. One of the many scars from the battle hundreds of years ago that still had yet to heal. The grass had become gray and lifeless, threatening to break apart and blow away.

"Now, Mint." Vivian began, turning xeir gaze to the foliage beneath xemself. "Every Aspect has its own key, something you must understand in order to properly harness its power. For Life and Decay, it's understanding that the flow of life isn't just simply the food chain, but that the world itself is part of a much larger cycle."

Mint simply tilted her head in confusion at xeir words, not quite understanding what xe meant by that.

"Okay. Let me try explaining it this way. Everything goes in circles. The natural order is that the grass is eaten and becomes part of a Pokémon's body. Then that Pokémon is eaten and becomes part of the body of the one who ate it. This goes all the way up to the apex predator. And when it dies, that Pokémon is swallowed by the earth to become grass again."

"So, the food chain goes in circles?" She asked, feeling like she was beginning to grasp the general idea.

"Essentially. Though it's not just that. This planet, our solar system, our galaxy, even. All of it is just one tiny part of a much greater whole. One day our world will be gone, but the building blocks will still be there for new worlds, ones that neither of us can imagine." Vivian's gaze turned towards the sky. "Everything eventually falls to decay, and in that decay, new life can spring forth."

"... Okay, you lost me again." Mint said, sighing. Xe just laughed a bit, and patted her head with a hoof.

"Don't worry, I'm sure you'll get it eventually. You've already made exceptional progress for someone your age." She beamed with pride at that, a toothy grin spreading across her face. "It's okay to not understand these things right away. Truthfully, it's a bit much for even me. Life and Decay simply allow us to speed up or slightly reverse that flow."

"...Though there's one inescapable truth that nobody, not even myself, can change, and one you must know: the permanence of death. Once your soul passes on, that's it. So please, be extremely careful Mint."

"Hey, c'mon!" Mint shot back with a smile, not quite grasping the seriousness of Vivian's words. "When have I done something worth worrying about?"

Xe just let out an exasperated sigh. Mint was an excellent student, but she was a handful sometimes too. "Many times." Xe figured she wouldn't grasp the idea so easily. It wasn't easy to understand for someone who hadn't experienced grief, and especially when they were so young.

Xe justified it to xemself, saying it was to prepare her for the inevitable, at least if Aster's book was to be believed...

"You're only here for Xerneas and I don't let you take her!"
