Happy Winter Wonderklok! Today's prompt is Saran Wrap Ball, and it marks part 1 of my 'big fic' for this challenge.

Summary: Saturnalia, at its Roman height, was a festival to celebrate Saturn, the god of the harvest. After the appropriate sacrifices, celebrants partied, exchanged gifts, feasted, and made merry in hopes of a bountiful spring. Lucy may not be a farmer, but she’s in for one hell of a spring with the way this party’s going.

I have been on a roll this week. I'd like to end the week with a light hearted yet chaotic story about a double date between Skwisgaar, Vivi, Pickles and @imayeenatheart Josie. If Live Action Smoker is this great (genuinely never been into Smoker, like what, the actor looks great!), I fear for what will become of me if Live Action Doflamingo comes to be bcs imagine if this is how good-looking the cast is just for Baroque Works & Marines, you are telling me we won't have the warlords be the new Bachelors (that roses TV show I forgot its name)?

A série é inspirada no livro Homônimo escrito por Tom Wheeler e ilustrado por Frank Miller, a história conta uma versão nova da lenda clássica do Rei Arthur e da espada Excalibur, e com a mitológia da Dama do Lago, personagem que sempre aparecia nos contos arturianos antigos. A série traz, uma diversidade no elenco, com várias etnias, além disso Katherine Langford escolhida para ser Nimue traz bastante carisma, tornando a trama interessante, Gustaf que interpreta Merlin também é um destaque apesar de no começo ser um pouco estranho ver um Merlin bêbado.

A diversidade do mundo apresentado na série é lindo com cenários lindos de tirar o folêgo, porém entre um dos principais problemas da série é mostrado logo nos primeiros episódios, o uso excessivo das transições animadas passa a impressão que a série está acelerada com cortes excessivos, dando uma sensação de que a cenas estão mal acabadas.

Assistindo o desenrolar da trama, notasse que pouca coisa têm relevância com os acontecimentos e a narrativa é bem entediante e em outros momentos parece que simplesmente não existe, a 1 temporada contêm 10 episódios mas que poderia ser muito menos que isso já que os personagens sofrem na mão do roteiro, que faz eles darem voltas e voltas nos mesmos lugares, o que ameniza isso é a riqueza da mitologia apresentada que faz com que continuemos a assistir.

O personagem de Daniel Sharman o Monge Choroso, o meu favorito diga-se de passagem, acaba tendo decisões importantes somente no último episódio, quando ele passa os outros 9 episódios sendo forçado a fazer a mesma coisa por conta do roteiro o que é bem triste por que o potêncial desse personagem é enorme, as justificativas dos personagens para seus atos é outra coisa grotesca já que as suas desculas são muito simplistas. No fim das contas Cursed, tem potencial muito grande é nítido por conta da sua mitologia, os personagens interessantes, o figurino muito bem feito o que chama muito nossa curiosidade porém se não haver uma mudança no roteiro a série corre perigo de acabar logo logo.

From the way they describe her, she does age up quite a bit in their universe and perhaps Vivi is there along the way. Of course our girl Makina is a frequent bar hopper. And what’s this, a bit of a lore drop!? Looks like she’s opening up about her childhood to Vivi.

Makina: “Your bar reminds me of childhood home. I was raised in an apartment above a rock and roll dive bar. It was owned by my dad’s friend… I miss them both.”

Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

As friends, Vivi didn't necessarily feel 'incomplete' without Skwisgaar but she would feel a little empty if he were to disappear. When their relationship deepened into love, he carved out a nice guitarist shaped hole in her heart. If they were to break up, she definitely would feel incomplete but I think it would hit Skwisgaar harder.

Wild Card (random headcannon)

Vivi knows how to drive and owns a nice, sensible Toyota Camry in her home country, but dislikes driving. She'll do it because she has to get places. Never found any enjoyment out of it.
