"You wanna bust your other leg too?" is such a fucking shitty thing to say, Jack! This is Crutchie's life. His livlihood. He understands the stakes better than anyone.
I only have one good eye (sort of good? let's just say one eye i can use to do my job that gets me paid) and YES I've been like this my whole life and YES I'm still very sensitive about it. It is not fodder for friendly jokes. If a person I loved and trusted said something like this to me, I would lose it.

Okay so WHAT is the name of those line things that help you read text line by line??? Like when you use a ruler for a piece of paper and read line by line. What is that called? Cause I could have sworn there was an assistance app that had one of those for your phone (literally just a line that you can move down like by line manually to help you read better) I could have SWORN I saw somebody mention an app like that??? I'm visually impaired and really need it

Myr is going to be blind in most threads. She had a less than pleasant encounter with the Ladies of the Woods and it came down to “you will either be our servant or never see your daughter again.”
(Not Saskia-- the other, human daughter.)
But Myr wasn’t born yesterday; she had access to primeval magic and knowledge that not even Villen, for example, does. So she called upon Sfânta Duminică-- Guide, Coryphe, Crone of Time, Mother to Wild Beasts-- and asked to take her sight away. Myr knew such magical bonds in spoken word were governed by capricious laws that favored wit and cunning, and she planned to trick the Crones of Crookback Bog and evade servitude.
Sfânta Duminică agreed. She took Myr’s ability to see away from her and gave it to her guardian dog, Ușor-ca-vântul-greu-ca-pământul (Light-as-the-wind-heavy-as-the-earth). As such, Myr will only see what the dog sees, and she will be able to employ his aid when needed-- but each time, something must be given in return. The offering doesn’t always have to be material, however; sometimes it may take the form of a secret, a piece of knowledge, or a blessing.
The next time Myr went to see the Crookback Crones, she revealed her decision-- she would never see her daughter again... because she was now blind. Naturally, the Crones weren’t happy about having been tricked; the bog and its creatures reacted to their anger. Before they could disappear, though, Myr lunged at them (still every bit a dragon even in a human body) and managed to rip off a chunk of flesh out of the Whispess with her teeth and nails.
She would then eat the foul meat, yelling after the Crones,
“Run, you filth, or I will devour you whole.”

[ID: Image of an edited "Why Do We Have Hands" meme. The top says "Why Do We Have White Canes?" and just beneath that is a cartoon picture of a white cane in black and white with the bottom half of the cane having a dark stripe. This is followed by the text "There Are Many Reasons:". Beneath that is a series of black and white pictures in a square formation. The first picture on the top left is of a basic outline of a person with spikey black hair, sunglasses, and a spiked collar. They are using a white cane with alternating black and white stripes. The caption is "look badass." The next picture to the right of it is in the same style and depicts a person being hit on the head with a white cane. The caption is "HIT the ableist." The bottom left picture is a cartoon-style hand holding up a white cane, and the caption is "shake stick at God." The final image on the bottom right is a picture of a person using a white cane with a black tip, poking an unknown creature. The caption is “poking stick” /end ID]

This website was not designed with the visually impaired in mind, and sometimes this really frustrates me. Wouldn't it be nice if I didn't have to squint to read a post? Yeah, it would be nice.
