From Bill Melugin at fox news: "BREAKING: 13,000 apprehensions of illegal immigrants by Border Patrol in Tucson, AZ sector in a single week. Large numbers of adult men from Africa crossing there this week, and mass street releases underway. Our team saw some dropped off at a Dollar Tree store in Sierra Vista."
For the record, 13k illegals are basically equal in size to one US Army Division. We're being invaded, and we're doing nothing about it. And we don't even know how many illegals have gotten away, undetected. At last count, over 40k chinese military-age males invaded, along with 1000's from African countries. If you can't see that these are sleeper cells, waiting to be activated, then I wish you the best of luck on your next trip to a shopping mall, or large sporting event, you're gonna need it.

Hello!!! I loved your OLBA headcanons! If you’re still taking requests, would you be willing to write a fic where the MC proposes to Derek? The thought that MC asks Derek to marry them at the beach park where they first made their deal lives in my mind rent free- Thank you!
Yay, thank you! I looove a park proposal, and I love the Derek love too! Here you go :)
When you were 13 years old, a boy you liked walked with you to the park by your house and proposed a deal: if you were both still single in 10 years, then you'd get married.
It had been ten years, a little more than that, and it still blew your mind that that little kid you'd liked so much had known exactly what he was talking about.
Derek had told you then that he thought you'd work well together, if you were to get married, and he was right -- you weren't married, not yet anyway, but you had been dating for a while and it you just clicked. Life was easy with him. Easy and fun and warm and exciting and so, so many good things.
"Whatcha thinking about?" he asked from the driver's seat of his car, pulling you out of your thoughts and back into the present, where you were driving from your apartment in Prism Vista City to your moms' house back in Sunset Bird.
"Not much," you replied, shooting a smile over at him.
It was a lie -- you were thinking about an awful lot of things, but you were hoping that the ring tucked safely in your pocket would make him forgive you of any and all fibs it took for you to get that ring on his finger.
Derek smiled back, satisfied with your answer, and put his hand palm-up over the gear shift. You laced your fingers through his, and he smiled wider.
You'd known you wanted to marry him for a while. Years, if you were being honest -- there was a reason you'd agreed to his deal back then. But when you'd stayed with him the summer he came back home, after you both laughed off the deal, pushing your real feelings back yet again, you'd realized that maybe your dream of him being your husband was more than just a nice thought. And when he'd confessed his feelings for you on the Ferris wheel, finally ready to embrace what he'd wanted out of life and to pursue it, you knew there was no turning back.
You wanted him to be your husband.
The details had worked themselves out for the most part. You knew that Derek would try to propose when he was ready, ever the gentleman, so you enlisted Cove's help to help you find a ring fast. You and your best friend went to the mall one day while Derek was working over at the shop, got a couple of smoothies and got to picking out the most important piece of jewelry you'd ever purchase.
Once you had it, you kept it on you almost constantly, always on the lookout for the perfect opportunity. Finally, when your moms invited the two of you over for brunch one Sunday, the opportunity arose.
The park. Naturally.
You'd been trying to work out everything you wanted to tell him all morning, and you kept thinking about on the car ride over. Even as you ate with your parents, then while you were washing dishes with Derek after -- everyone had long since given up on telling him not to help out -- it was on your mind.
After everything was clean, and after a bit more chatting with your moms, it was showtime.
"I think I'm going to take Derek for a walk," you announced, standing up from the couch in the living room.
"Good call," your mom said. "You want to make sure to take them out after meals, don't want an accident in the house."
Your long-suffering ma groaned, lightly slapping her wife on her shoulder. She just snickered.
Derek smiled, unbothered by the teasing, and said, "I could go for a walk."
And you were off.
You both started walking toward the beach without a word, hand in hand, and when you got close you started on the path towards the park, tugging him along with you.
"Hell yeah," he grinned, realizing you were heading towards your special spot but still, you were sure, completely unaware of what was about to happen.
When you arrived, you let go of Derek's hand, stretching out your arms. He walked ahead a few steps, looking over the familiar playground.
"What do you think?" he asked. "Swings, monkey bars ..."
He turned around to get your opinion, but had to look down to see you -- you'd taken the moment to get down on one knee, the ring from your pocket raised up towards him in your hand.
Your boyfriend was a big guy, all muscle, and you knew that strangers that saw him must have thought he was tough. But seeing his reaction to your tell-tale position, eyes as wide as they'd go and both hands up to his mouth in shock, his real self shown through. He was a sweetheart, a total softie, and you made him melt.
He glanced from your eyes to the ring and back again a few times, and you couldn't help but smile at how excited he seemed. You could have stayed there for so much longer, just drinking in how adorable he was, but you had some things to say.
You launched right into it, telling him all about how much you loved him, how much he meant to you, and how happy the idea of spending forever with him made you. You talked about the life you'd been building together and how you wanted to keep working at it, always, with him. You sang his praises, even when tears started to form in your eyes, because he deserved to hear them. You needed him to know, as much as words could convey, just how special he was.
Derek had never been a crier. Even during life's most difficult moments, and you had seen a few of his, he tended to completely internalize things, leaving no room for any sort of outward show of emotion. But by the time you'd said what you wanted to say, the collar of his shirt was damp with tears, and you saw more tears on his cheeks glinting in the afternoon sun.
For the big finale, you kept it simple, holding the ring up further and asking, "Will you marry me?"
In a flash, he grabbed the wrist of the hand that held the ring and found your other hand, and he pulled up up so you were standing in front of him. He closed his large palm around the ring in yours, making sure it was safe, then hugged you tight against him.
Too well-mannered to leave you hanging, he interrupted his own hug to lean back and look at you.
"Yes," he said firmly. "Let's get married." He couldn't help but let out a little laugh then, so utterly delighted with the words that he felt the need to repeat them.
"Let's get married."
You grinned, then gently pulled your hands out of his. You waved the ring up towards his face a little, showing him your intentions (and also showing off the ring, which you had to admit was really pretty), then took his left hand again. After bringing it to your lips for a quick kiss, you stretched out his fingers and then slid down the ring where it belonged.
A perfect fit, in more ways than one.
He looked down at his hand in awe, then back up at you. Before you could say anything else, he swept you back up in his arms. No longer needing to be careful for the ring, he picked you up, swinging you around with what could only be described as complete and utter glee.
"We're getting married!" he cheered, even going as far as to let out a "Woohoo!" You joined in with the cheering.
Eventually he put you down, but instead of stepping back, he softly cupped your face in his hands and kissed you. It was light at first, and you could feel the smile still on his face, but then it deepened. He moved his hands to your hips, wanting you to be even closer, and you missed the feeling of the cool metal of the ring on your cheek.
"I can't wait to tell my family," he told you after a moment of that, leaning his forehead against yours. "I can't wait to tell everybody."
"Well, your family sort of already knows," you admitted. "At least that I was going to ask, anyway."
"Huh?"
"I had to get their blessing, didn't I?" you asked.
He kissed you again at that, and you couldn't help but think of your very first kiss with him -- it had happened here at the park, to seal the marriage pact. You loved how everything had come full circle, and you loved the man in your arms, and you absolutely, positively loved that you a lifetime of these kisses to look forward to.

It's time for the next sneak peek!
We have many locations on site. There is plenty of opportunity to plot and visit various places in the Miami area. Just so you know, the location of some neighbourhoods has shifted from real-life Miami to suit the site's needs.
Brickell is the financial hub of the city, boasting gleaming skyscrapers and luxurious waterfront condos overlooking Biscayne Bay. It's a haven for professionals with rooftop bars, upscale dining options, and the trendy Brickell City Centre for art and shopping. Don't forget the picturesque Brickell Avenue Bridge, offering stunning waterfront vistas, and nearby Miami Circle, an intriguing archaeological site, add to its allure.
Coconut Grove, a chic neighbourhood by Biscayne Bay, features lush greenery, trendy cafes, and CocoWalk mall. Highlights include Barnacle Historic State Park and the lavish Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. Sailing clubs and marinas line the waterfront for maritime enthusiasts.
Downtown Miami pulses with activity, offering shops and entertainment galore. By day, explore malls and stores; by night, catch a Miami Heat game or a concert at the American Airlines Arena. However, be cautious; with a higher crime rate than the national average, especially for violent crimes, it's best to stick to daytime outings. Keep an eye out for homelessness and panhandling, and stay vigilant against potential theft, even on public transit." Little Havana embodies Miami's Latin spirit, brimming with lively art, cuisine, and culture. Explore galleries, sip strong coffee, and enjoy political debates at Domino Park. Tower Theater offers indie and classic films, while vibrant nightlife features live Latin music for a truly immersive experience. Between Wynwood and downtown Miami lies Liberty Square, Miami's toughest neighbourhood, established with the Liberty Square Housing Project in the late 1930s. Model City, with a population of around 25,023, earns notoriety as the hotspot for violent crime, especially in the drug scene, leading to gun violence and break-ins. Despite increased police efforts, it remains sketchy, particularly after dark. South Beach is Miami's top destination, renowned for its beautiful beaches and vibrant nightlife. Lincoln Road Mall offers diverse shopping, while Ocean Drive showcases stunning Art Deco architecture and alfresco dining. Explore the cultural side at the Wolfsonian-FIU museum for a taste of Miami's unique charm. It's more than just beaches; it's an unforgettable experience! Surfside, a coastal gem, offers a cozy residential community with tall condo buildings lining Surfside Beach, providing stunning oceanfront views. Surrounded by vibrant neighbourhoods like North Beach and Bal Harbour, it's part of the larger Miami metropolitan area, offering the perfect blend of beach and city life in one package.
Let's talk Wynwood, a vibrant hotspot bursting with colour and creativity. Wynwood Walls showcase stunning street art, while converted warehouses host craft breweries and galleries. It's a hub for the young and hip, with boutiques, bistros, and bars. Though property crime exists, it's part of the lively atmosphere. From lower to middle-class homes, Wynwood embraces diversity and creative energy.

Any thoughts on what's up with the Accelerated Dynamics nightmare dungeon? The obvious surface is about corporate greed, but how does that relate directly to Jimmy's life like the other nightmare dungeons do?
i've been slacking on the analysis posts a hell of a lot but this is one of the dungeons i've been looking for an opportunity to talk about because it's another one of those inclusions in jatpm that i think gets overlooked because it doesn't have an immediately obvious interpretation like some others do (or, as obvious as is possible for your average jimmy fan). i've done a lot of thinking about it, and a while back had this realization (slight tw for very very brief suicide mention, also obvious spoilers ahead):
kasey definitely put a lot of his own personal grievances with capitalism into accelerated dynamics, but in my opinion it's an incomplete picture without taking megatropolis as a whole into consideration. terminal illness is extremely costly to treat and particularly in the US, it's (in my experience) much more terrifying to imagine being unable to afford the cost of healthcare than it is to actually fall ill and require treatment. even with insurance covering the cost of medical supplies and bills most people continue to struggle to feed, clothe, and house themselves, and that's assuming they do have health insurance that covers the right necessities to begin with.
i say this because i doubt jimmy's cancer treatment was at all affordable given that he's already been through chemotherapy once before, and has spent the entirety of his second battle comatose while his family continues to work not just to support themselves, but to try and save his life. this isn't to argue that money troubles were absolutely a factor in his family's life because of his illness because we don't know much at all about their financial situation--more that this is a terrifying reality for many, many families fighting illnesses, and megatropolis is representative of something that jimmy and his family don't have the luxury of anymore: leisure.
accelerated dynamics is set in a sprawling city landmarked by arcades, shopping malls, theaters, toy company headquarters, and a massive school campus, all adjacent to a high-class beach resort. it's a stark contrast in atmosphere that was likely very intentional--accelerated dynamics is devoid of personality and wonder in comparison to bonita vista or even shinryu and features workplace ambience as its area theme and visuals of skeletal employees hanged outside the office windows. i think a lot of people were incredibly disappointed in mr grouse as a character to see that his humble beginnings had led him to this point, but i think the commentary runs a lot deeper and touches on this incredibly grave aspect of illness and thus jimmy's personal life that can be easy to miss for the trees; mr grouse tells jimmy before the fight that he used to dream of his banking business growing bigger and bigger and that now, with the advent of it having grown so big that it's now expanded into an entire enterprise, he understands the power and influence that money can buy him, but more than anything he now conceptualizes how terrifying it is to lose that wealth.
his dialogue after the fight is an admission that wealth completely and utterly eroded his morals and that jimmy should enjoy his innocence while he can--this is the incomprehensible, horrifying world of adulthood that he couldn't possibly understand at this age--and it's very clear that this is (one of) the intended angle(s) of this dungeon's theme where jimmy will never live long enough to understand the complications of growing older and losing his innocence to concepts like late stage capitalism, but mr grouse phrases his dialogue like an earnest request for reflection, something for jimmy to consider in a way that his brain can more easily deconstruct--think of all the things you could do if you had practically infinite wealth, and the only thing you had to worry about was not having money.
if jimmy and his family had infinite wealth, then maybe they'd be able to afford luxury resorts and theme parks and theaters and shopping trips again. if jimmy and his family had infinite wealth, maybe they wouldn't need to work themselves into an early grave over their child's deathbed.
#i don't know if i worded this the greatest because it's still a struggle for me to write for extended periods#but i articulated as best i could about my thoughts re: capitalism and wealth for this dungeon#like i said the obvious angle here is jimmy being unable to understand the inner workings of adults#and the ways in which they learn to exploit eachother in some bizarre performance of normalcy#but this is an angle i don't ever see anybody exploring#and i think personally that there's a lot of merit to it#from a thematic standpoint at least#if you asked kasey what it meant i think he'd just reiterate the anti-capitalist commentary because that was his primary motivator#jimmy and the pulsating mass#jimmy and the pulsating mass spoilers#jatpm#jatpm spoilers

It just had so much more Disney magic than Disney Springs does. Disney Springs just feels like any other outdoor mall, Downtown Disney had that magic disney charm! Nuvali🍃
EP 7 🎬
Recently, we visited Nuvali again for nth time, and my experience was incredible. The lush greenery and stunning lakes took my breath away, and I was always mesmerized by the beauty of the surroundings. walking around the area and enjoying the fresh air made me feel alive. Visiting an eco-friendly park in a city is a unique and fulfilling experience. The park is designed with sustainability in mind, promoting green spaces, recycling, and conservation initiatives. It provides a beautiful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, with plenty of trees, flowers, and water features to enjoy. Additionally, there are often outdoor activities and events hosted at the park that focus on education and environmental awareness. It's a place to relax, unwind, and connect with nature while learning about the importance of preserving our planet's resources.
NUVALI’s vast topography is surrounded by flourishing local communities, shops (Vista Mall, Ayala Malls Solenad, S&R, Landmark, and Landers), schools (DLSU Canlubang, Miriam College, Xavier University, etc.), sports centers, and hospitals. The food options available in the area were top-notch including Sam’s HK Restaurant especially their Lemon glazed chicken and braised beef, and I enjoyed a delightful meal with my family.
After we had our dinner, we had an incredible experience attending a mini concert of ‘’The Bloomfields’’ at the Vista mall. The atmosphere was electric as the artist took the stage and began to perform the timeless songs of a well known band ‘’The Beatles’’. The crowd was mesmerized, and I could feel the energy in the air. The sound quality was impressive, and so was the artist's performance. They were truly skilled and talented. It was a unique opportunity to see live music in the mall, and I'm so glad I went. Overall, Nuvali provided a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, and I cannot wait to return again for another unforgettable experience.

Weekend Photo Story
I was able to go to Riverpark for the farmers markets that focused on Valentines day. There was so many food and people there to shop around. My best friend tagged along with me as we walked around and bought soap from Bath and Body.
We then drove over to Sierra Vista Mall to try the new Two Hand Corndog. I been wanting to try some since I have heard some much about the place from my peers. There was a super long line so we had to wait for at least fifteen minutes.
My best friend and me than took a mini drive up to Millerton lake to get some fresh air before summer arrives in Fresno. There wasn't many people up in the lake since there was events happening in town. It was a nice ride as we just putted on music and sing to our heart content.
We then stopped by the side of the road to just enjoy nature. The mountains was very green and the air was very fresh and clean. There was many cows moving along with a small river in the valley.
On our way back to town, my best friend surprised me and stopped by to pick up the cake she ordered for my birthday. The cake was a coconut cake and was really good. It was not so dry or super sweet, so my grandparents were able to have some with us.
We made ka poon for dinner. It was very fun to help prep and cook since there was only four of us, but the pot for the broth was enough to serve at least ten people. While cutting the ingredients, my best friend and I was fighting back tears from cutting the green onion.
When I got home, I decided to update my tiny journal of encouraging words that I have received from other people in my life. The journal is already almost full since I have decorated it was a lot of stickers. I like to write at least one message either from someone or even just myself once a month.
The next day, I was able to focus on my paj ntawb (embroidery) for my new outfits. My best friend and I was inspire to make outfits for Hmong New Year. I am almost done with the pattern and now just need to focus on putting the outfit together, with my grandma's help.
As a student there has to be time to do work, so that's what I did. I was writing one of papers for my writing dinosaur class. I was drinking peppermint tea to ease my throat since I woke up with a dry throat.
Lastly, my brothers surprised me and moved some of my paintings out from my room and into the living room. This piece is called Blooming Friendship to represent my six year long friendship with my best friend. The piece was so huge that my brothers decided to hang it in front of the window.

Oh, he's not.
For the young'uns; imagine someone with a Casio beat machine that's found a vaguely porny throb that in and of itself would feature either in the opening bars of a Milli Vanilli track or in shopping mall commercials in the early nineties. Bring the BPM down, make it match the cadence of Gregorian friars singing for Vespers, and then burn the rest of your budget on cheap castle dioramas, bouffant shirts and blunted decorative swords.
Make sure to coincide with the nadir of the New Age craze, and you've got two-thirds of an entire thing that briefly dominated the airwaves. Its close second would involve the exact same thing, but on a major key and with friars swapped in for Native American ceremonial chants. Add visual cues of idyllic tropical vistas and swirling clouds, and suggest that the New Millennium would see us "healing" the world...
Yeah. Aged like fine milk, it did. Here, have a listen:

Delhi to Mussoorie Trip by Road
A road trip from Delhi to Mussoorie offers brilliant scenery and refreshing mountain air. The distance is around 280 km and the journey would take around 7-8 hours and is comfortable as a day's drive. It would be advisable to start early in the day to avoid traffic and enjoy the daylight views of the Shivalik ranges while approaching Mussoorie. There is another refreshingly beautiful route which you can take en route, like at Dehradun, where the famous Robber's Cave is worth visiting or take a relaxing break near refreshing waters of the falls of Sahastradhara.
Mussoorie, the "Queen of Hills," is an excellent place for awe-inspiring vistas, such as Kempty Falls and panoramic views from Gun Hill Point. For leisurely walks and shopping for souvenirs, there is no better destination than Mall Road. Lal Tibba also offers one of the finest vantage points to enjoy the range of the Himalayas.
Traveling from Delhi to Mussoorie by Tempo Traveller is ideal for groups and families, ensuring comfort and ample space for a memorable journey. A tempo traveller adds convenience and the flexibility to make stops as needed, making your road trip truly enjoyable.

Extinct Disney Parks and Attractions tournament round 5: Bracket AB
Reminder, you don't have had to experience any of the attractions/experiences to vote! Just read in the info and/or watch the vid, then vote for which you wish you would have experienced more/which sounds cooler!
Videos and propaganda/info dumping under cut
Downtown Disney: WDW, 1997-2015
Propaganda:
It just had so much more Disney magic than Disney Springs does. Disney Springs just feels like any other outdoor mall, Downtown Disney had that magic disney charm! The shops were so much more unique, they had Pleasure Island and Disney Quest, the shops in the Marketplace are so much more boring and dull now too

Space Mountain moving walkway after ride: Magic Kingdom (1975-2018)
Propaganda:
They took out the fun, slightly bouncy, moving walkway at the end of Space Mountain, and the fun green screens, and made it a boring and sterile hallway (at least they kept some of the post show stuff at the beginning though)
