Prince Mural Celebration: Celebrate the BIGGEST Prince Mural in Sacramento with very special guest and mural artist Rachel Cate. The event will feature all Prince music and videos with light refreshments. This is a community event and FREE to those who love PRINCE. 1418 20th Street. 7-9PM.

Slide Guitar Genius, Louisiana's Sonny Landreth: After a dozen acclaimed albums, virtuoso slide guitarist and bandleader Sonny Landreth found himself at an artistic crossroads. He wanted to finally create the full-length acoustic collection his fans had long requested. But he was also itching to capture the sound of his stalwart electric trio augmented by a couple of his favorite collaborators. CDP’s Open Rehearsal and Happy Hour: Go behind the scenes with Capital Dance Project in the studio and learn how the dancers create world premiere dance works in collaboration with Sacramento's most exciting visual artists and musicians. Watch the dancers perfect their choreography and get a sneak peek of what's in store for their upcoming show, Behind the Barre. Enjoy a Q&A session and photo ops with these incredible artists following the dancing portion of the event and then head over to CDP sponsor, New Helvetia Brewing Company to enjoy a cold one and to get to know the dancers more! $1 from every pint will benefit CDP so bring your friends and support local art and business! Sol Kids Day!: Join the Unicorn University cast and the Gorilla Knitting Crew for an afternoon of arts, crafts, music, and dance. Sol Kids Day also hosts a gently used toy/clothing exchange every month as well! Enjoy an interactive hip hop theater/variety show for kids ages 0-10, Unicorn University teaches self love and empowerment through beats, rhymes, arts, and crafts. Kids learn lessons in everything from cultural diversity and friendship to yoga and healthy eating from our cast of characters including Miss Unicorn, Captain Intoductorio De La Chapter, and whoever rings the campus doorbell. Classical Concert: Duo Stephanie & Saar: The works featured in the exhibition Full Spectrum: Paintings by Raimonds Staprans showcase the beauty and drama of Staprans’ use of a single theme: still life. To extraordinary effect, duo Stephanie and Saar take inspiration from Staprans in a program featuring Bach’s The Art of Fugue, which also explores a single theme with astonishing variety. Playing together on a single piano, DUO: Stephanie & Saar captivate with the complex and haunting masterpieces Bach composed at the end of his life. Included in the program will be the composer’s very last fugue, which he mysteriously left unfinished, confounding generations of scholars.Space is limited and advance registration is recommended. Rushmore: Wes Anderson directs an incredible cast of misfits in this clever film about high school and what it means to grow up.
