Prior department store, Brno

In the 1970s, Brno needed modern business premises, which led to the construction of the Prior department store, an architectural masterpiece in the Brutalist style. The original ambitious plans to expand the city southwards were thwarted by the occupation in 1968, so only a smaller version of the project was realised. Prior opened in 1984 and met all the requirements for retail space at the time. The building is noted for its massive concrete structure and sculptural detailing on the upper floors. Today it no longer meets the needs of modern commerce and is awaiting demolition.

Das hatten wir bei unserem @interraileu nicht bedacht: In manchen Städten ist montags sehr wenig möglich. Beispielsweise in #Brünn - dort sind die Zitadelle, der Bunker und die unterirdischen Gänge montags geschlossen. Entsprechend kann man sich nur die gar nicht so große Innenstadt ansehen. Und den Park rund um die Zitadelle sowie das Gebäude von außen. Das hat man dafür fast für sich alleine, was wiederum ganz nett ist. So hat eben alles zwei Seiten. Babí lom se nachází u obce Lelekovice a Svinošice a každoročně se zde děla vyslap. Nejvyšší vrchol leží v nadmořské výšce 562 m, což není moc, ale zase ne výstup dost prudký. Cesta je zajímavá převážně díky kamenům, po kterých čas cesty jdete. Hrad Veveří, ziju tu už dlouho a nikdy jsem tu nebyla 😂 ani vlastně nevím proč 🤷🏼‍♀️ vede k němu asi 7 km cesta z přehrady. Nazpátek můžete jet buď autobusem a nebo přehradu obejít a jít druhou stranou zpátky.
