Celebrity Age-Gap Relationships Astrology Observation 💞A common thing I’ve noticed in a lot of age gap relationships between people in my personal life is the male partner nearly always has Virgo/Scorpio/Libra in his inner planets. Sometimes a combo of two or even all three are present.

My theory as to why this happens goes pretty deep and likely deserves its own post so I’ll just try to summarise: I’ve always had a theory that men with these placements are subconsciously drawn to younger partners. However, most of the time, it is genuinely not in a predatory or nefarious type of way. My theory is that it has to do with a deeply subconscious need to nurture, provide, look out for, and protect their partners. So they may be drawn to younger women because they want to protect them in a “fatherly” type of way. Again: I believe that this is subconscious and many of them may not even realise that they are doing it. I don’t believe that a majority of them are doing it out of malice, I think it’s just part of who they are.

Hello Anon!! Wow that was so long and I just woke up but I love seeing people that passionate, I’m the same about what I love (Gemini moon 8H you know 😂)… so!! I 100% agree with you. To be honest this is what I thought:

His spouse IS def younger than him. I don’t wanna make assumptions about the age gap because we can’t really be that precise until it really happens. But already seeing so many signs she will be younger is already a good sign. So I wanted to say she is younger than him but the theory could go two ways: 1. she could appear extremely young compared to her age because it happened to some people already! For ex, I noticed people with cancer placement have these kind of experiences in their life, and his Personal DC is in Cancer so it wouldn’t shock if she had this.

○ but everyone in her family had one question on their minds: how did a completely healthy nineteen-year-old's knee completely shatter from a simple landing? well, after extensive and invasive testing, the culprit was revealed: systemic lupus erythematosus causing osteoporosis. it made sense; she had been feeling achier than usual (chalked up to her getting older and less flexible as she grew), got exhausted so quickly (usually blamed on lack of sleep or doing too much), and was starting to see a rash pop up across her cheeks (which was misdiagnosed as eczema). she thought the year ban on performing was bad, though? once she heard her doctors recommend she not do any professional touring ever again at the risk of her doing irreparable damage to herself as he condition continued to progress, the sound of her heart shattering felt louder than hearing her literal bone split open. her whole life had been planned by her since she was seven. and now? she had to start back at square one.

○ after a gap year of healing (and moping. and crying. and wallowing), celia went back to school (this time in aurora bay as she wanted to be as far from the broadway signs that were a reminder of everything she had lost) and began to fall in love with another aspect of the theatre: costuming. she poured herself into the world of storytelling through clothing and creating pure magic on stage. if this was the path her life was to take, it was time to throw everything she had into starting off on the right foot. getting both her BA and MA in costuming and fashion design plus getting a 4.0 GPA both times was absolutely a coping method for losing her past love. though it was bittersweet getting her highly coveted position at The Charles Levin Theater, she could not be more happy to be close to the industry that has brought her so much joy.

New detectable gravitational wave source from collapsing stars predicted from simulations

The ripples in space-time caused by the death of massive spinning stars could be within the limits of detection of projects like LIGO and Virgo, new simulations by Flatiron Institute astrophysicists suggest

The death of a massive, rapidly spinning star can shake the universe. And the resulting ripples — known as gravitational waves — could be felt by instruments on Earth, according to new research published August 22 in The Astrophysical Journal Letters. These new sources of gravitational waves just await discovery, the scientists behind the research predict.

The gravitational waves emerge following the violent deaths of rapidly rotating stars 15 to 20 times the mass of the sun. Upon running out of fuel, these stars implode, then explode, in an event known as a collapsar. This leaves behind a black hole surrounded by a large disk of leftover material that quickly whirls into the black hole’s maw. The spiraling of material — which lasts just minutes — is so great that it distorts the space around it, creating gravitational waves that travel across the universe.

Using cutting-edge simulations, the scientists determined that these gravitational waves could be detectable with instruments like the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO), which made the first direct observations of gravitational waves from merging black holes in 2015. If spotted, the collapsar-driven waves would help scientists understand the mysterious inner workings of collapsars and black holes.

“Currently, the only gravitational wave sources that we have detected come from a merger of two compact objects — neutron stars or black holes,” says study lead Ore Gottlieb, a research fellow at the Flatiron Institute’s Center for Computational Astrophysics (CCA) in New York City. “One of the most interesting questions in the field is: What are the potential non-merger sources that could produce gravitational waves that we can detect with current facilities? One promising answer is now collapsars.”

Gottlieb, along with CCA visiting scholar and Columbia professor Yuri Levin and Tel Aviv University professor Amir Levinson, simulated the conditions — including magnetic fields and cooling rates — found in the aftermath of a massive rotating star’s collapse. The simulations showed that collapsars can produce gravitational waves powerful enough to be visible from about 50 million light-years away. That distance is less than one-tenth the detectable range of the more powerful gravitational waves from mergers of black holes or neutron stars, though it’s still stronger than any non-merger event yet simulated.

The new findings come as a surprise, Gottlieb says. Scientists thought the chaotic collapse would create a jumble of waves that would be hard to pick out amid the universe’s background noise. Think of an orchestra warming up. When each musician plays their own notes, it can be hard to distinguish the melody coming from a single flute or tuba. On the other hand, gravitational waves from the merger of two objects create clear, strong signals like an orchestra playing together. This is because when two compact objects are about to merge, they dance in a tight orbit that creates gravitational waves with each turn. This rhythm of near-identical waves amplifies the signal to a level that can be detected. The new simulations showed that the rotating disks around collapsars can also emit gravitational waves that amplify together, very much like the orbiting compact objects in mergers.

“I thought that the signal would be much messier because the disk is a continuous distribution of gas with material spinning in different orbits,” Gottlieb says. “We found that the gravitational waves from these disks are emitted coherently, and they’re also rather strong.”

Not only is the predicted signal from collapsar disks strong enough to be detected by LIGO, but Gottlieb’s calculations suggest that a few events might already be in existing datasets. Proposed gravitational wave detectors such as the Cosmic Explorer and Einstein Telescope could spot dozens a year.

The gravitational wave community is already interested in looking for these events, but it is not an easy task. The new work calculated gravitational wave signatures for a modest number of potential collapsar events. Stars, however, span a wide range of mass and rotation profiles, which would create differences in the calculated gravitational wave signals.

“In principle, we would ideally simulate 1 million collapsars to be able to create a generic template, but unfortunately, these are very expensive simulations,” Gottlieb says. “So, for now, we have to pick other strategies.”

Scientists can look into historical data to see if any events are similar to the one Gottlieb simulated. Given the variety of stars, though, each with a potentially unique signal, finding a match for one of the simulated signals is probably unlikely. Another strategy is to use other signals from close by collapsar events — such as supernovae or gamma-ray bursts that are emitted during the star’s collapse — and then search the data archives to see if any gravitational waves were detected in that area of the sky around the same time.

Preston is the only child born to Wayne and Lillian Whittaker in the city of Birmingham, AL.

Cars had always been a big part of Preston’s life. His grandfather was a very successful NASCAR driver so that meant Preston and his parents attended every race they could. The Whittaker family became a household name around Aroura Bay, the small town his grandfather was raised and continued to call home. 

When his grandfather finally retired from racing he moved back to his hometown. Opening a mechanics garage now famously known around town as the Pitstop Garage. 

Preston visited often and spent most of his summers and school breaks in Aurora Bay. He loved spending time with his granddad and hearing all the stories he had to tell.

His family moved officially to Aurora Bay when Preston was 8 years old when his granddad became ill. Preston’s father took over the shop and Preston helped where he could. Be that of stocking parts and other various jobs around the shop. after about 2 years his granddad passed and his father, Wayne took over the family business. 

When it came to school the boy did okay. There was always room for improvement but he got by. Preston didn’t really have much time for extracurriculars but when he did find downtime it was often used running or finding someway to exercise his mind or body. He did have a bit of a rebellious streak to him though and partied quite often.

After graduation Preston enrolled in the local university majoring in Business and Finance. After graduating with his Associates he started working for his dad, helping him run things now that he was getting older.

The new college graduate’s life was flipped upside down when he met his now ex girlfriend, Sterling. He fell for the girl and fell for her hard. Basically if she told him to jump he’d ask how high. She centered him and it was what the man needed, his rebellious streak was getting a bit out of hand for his liking. 

Preston knew after their first date that he wanted to spend forever with Sterling and everyone else around the pair knew it too. The thoughts of the future was never really something that came to mind for him. He liked living in the moment and enjoying their relationship in the now. The hard reality of the future came crashing down on the him when Sterling dropped the truth bomb of her being pregnant. He knew he was supposed to be excited to be starting a family with her, it was a step into the right direction of his future with his now pregnant girlfriend. Instead of giving her the response she wanted he left. It was his biggest regret and has kicked himself for it every day since. When he had heard of Sterling giving birth to their daughter, Sunny, it rocked him to his core. He missed everything.

Preston ran all the way back to Birmingham, working odd jobs to make money. He sent what he could back to Aurora Bay trying to help the young mother even though he wasn’t there physically. 

3 years has now come and gone and Preston just received the news that in the wake of his dad’s passing he had inherited the Pitstop. Preston was hesitant to go back to Aurora Bay but knew he had to be a man and face his mistakes and figure out what he was going to do with the Garage.
