[ad_1] Indian and Australian reporters at the MCG (PC: Subhayan) RevSportz Comment One of the most surprising aspects of the controversy surrounding Ravindra Jadeja’s media interaction in the build-up to the Boxing Day Test was the utterly one-eyed approach taken by the Australian media present. It was as if common sense had left the building and been replaced by conspiracy theories. That it happened in Australia was even more eyebrow-raising. For more than a century, Australian sports journalism has been robust and objective for the most part. There have been few holy cows. Even Sir Donald Bradman, the greatest of them all, wasn’t immune to criticism. On the 1930 tour of England, after an Australian businessman gifted Bradman a large sum of money following his triple-century in Leeds, Geoffrey Tebbutt, a journalist based out of Melbourne, was scathing of the legend’s refusal to even buy his teammates a round of drinks. Just over half a century later, when a frazzled and under-pressure Greg Chappell asked Trevor, his younger brother, to bowl underarm off the last ball of an ODI final against New Zealand, Ian Chappell, by then a commentator for Channel 9, was heard saying: “No, Greg, no, you can’t do that.” It didn’t matter that Australia’s captain was his younger sibling, whom he had played alongside from backyard to baggy green. Elsewhere on television, Richie Benaud called it a ‘disgraceful performance’ and ‘one of the worst things I have ever seen done on a cricket field.’ For the Latest Sports News: Click Here Ravindra Jadeja having a media interaction at the MCG (PC: X) Ian Chappell was equally strident in his criticism of Steve Smith after Sandpapergate in Cape Town in 2018. He insisted that Smith couldn’t be restored captaincy even after serving his ban because he had lost the respect of his players. The playing group as a whole had come under the late Peter Roebuck’s scanner in the aftermath of Monkeygate in Sydney in January 2008. On the pages of The Melbourne Age, Roebuck lambasted Ricky Ponting’s leadership, saying he had ‘turned a group of professional cricketers into a pack of wild dogs’. That wasn’t all. “It was the ugliest performance by an Australian side for 20 years,” he wrote. “The only surprising part of it is that the Indians have not already packed and gone home. “It was a wretched and ill-mannered display and not to be endured from any side let alone an international outfit representing a proud sporting nation. Make no mistake, it is not only the reputation of these cricketers that has suffered — Australia itself has been embarrassed.” That was what you tended to get from the Australian media, a few tabloids aside – fairness. Whether it was Gideon Haigh praising Virat Kohli’s T20 artistry in a Mohali cauldron, or Peter Lalor appreciating Ravi Shastri and Kohli travelling to Phil Hughes’ funeral in country New South Wales, there was an ability to see the big picture. All we’ve seen with the Jadeja episode are small minds and a narrow worldview, which is a real shame coming from the country of Tebbutt, Benaud and Chappell. [ad_1] In the latest episode of Asian Paints Where the Heart Is, celebrated wedding photographer Joseph Radhik and his wife, renowned wedding designer Devika Narain, offer an intimate look at their beautifully curated home. Known for designing and photographing dream weddings for the likes of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, as well as Anant and Radhika Ambani, the couple’s home reflects their philosophy of creating spaces that embody the personalities of those they are crafted for. Asian Paints Where The Heart Is S8- Joseph Radhik and Devika Narain The episode takes viewers on an inspiring journey through a home filled with stories, memories, and design cues that resonate deeply with personal expression. Located in tranquil surroundings, their space is a harmonious blend of personal stories, artistic expression, and maximalist interiors, making it a true sanctuary of comfort and creativity. Asian Paints Where The Heart Is S8- Joseph Radhik and Devika Narain' home "My home is my favorite place in the whole wide world," Joseph shares warmly, "Home for me has always come down to people and not the place." Devika, who has designed weddings for Bollywood stars like Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha, as well as Rajkumar Rao and Patralekha, brings the same thoughtful approach to designing their home. "Whether it’s the weddings we create or my own home, what makes it truly unique is that it reflects the people it’s being made for," she explains. This philosophy of personalization comes alive throughout their home, starting with the living room-a space rich with stories and layered with character. “It is the first impression that everyone gets when they come to our home," says Joseph. The bookshelves, which Devika has had for 10 years from her first home, reflect the couple’s journey. Filled with books and souvenirs from their travels, they create a dynamic, evolving gallery-a perfect example of how open shelving adds warmth and personality to a home. Another distinct corner of their home is Devika's study room. "This room is exclusively my space and sort of Coopie, our dog’s playroom too," she shares. The room contrasts black-and-white tones with pops of color. "My rather black room is offset by this super cool wallpaper by Asian Paints, which reminds me of Chennai’s silk saris," she reveals pointing at the Nilaya Wallpaper from Asian Paints in her bedroom -a premium range known for its intricate patterns, bold motifs, and luxurious craftsmanship. Art from Florence and Portugal showcases how thoughtful details can elevate spaces. Joseph’s desk space, which also serves as their entertainment room, offers a calming experience. “Over the past four years, every incredible wedding photograph has been edited right here,” he shares. Known for capturing the most cherished moments of celebrity weddings, Joseph’s work stands as a testament to his artistic eye and dedication. With deep gray tones and a monochrome palette, the room exudes tranquility. A projector transforms the space into a cozy home cinema, where the couple enjoys their favourite films, especially their own wedding film. One of their most enchanting spaces is the deck, described by Devika as "a personal oasis", a tranquil place filled with trees, ponds with fish, and vibrant greenery. A treasured blue mirror from her Delhi home, anchors the space with a sense of nostalgia. With its blend of natural elements and bohemian decor, the deck offers a serene retreat—a perfect blend of nature and design. Devika’s artistic touch shines throughout the home, blending bold, curated choices with accessible art. "I love that you can find great artists on Instagram. You can walk into places, buy a poster, frame it, put it on a wall, see if you like it." This approach to making art accessible and personal is a theme that resonates across the home. For those inspired by their journey, visit BeautifulHomes.com by Asian Paints to explore decor ideas that bring your unique story to life.

Brotherly Antics
it was just another day for Callum Brown watching the Josh and Nick Show as they cracked jokes, performed tricks and made the entire room laugh.
I Thought of You (and all the things that will be lost now)
The clock was nearing one minute to go and the ball was locked in a stoppage in Collingwood’s forward 50. They were down by a point.
Bad Hair Day
First day back for preseason had Darcy Moore up and about. He knew the younger guys had already been back for 2 weeks, but Darcy wasn’t worried.
green eyes and freckles and your smile
“The other kids are teasing me,” Dan Bill Bishop cried, standing near the monkey bars of the big kids’ playground and watching Ruth Parekh-Schmidt swing gracefully. “My daddy dressed me today.”
Pats' Chat
“Welcome to Pat’s Chat,” Pat Lipinski said into the microphone. “I’m here with my namesake slash partner in crime, Pat Naish.”
Birthday Traditions
With sadness enveloping his hulk-like frame, Marcus Stoinis packed his bags, all ready for the next adventure.
Freed From Desire
After tiptoeing out of his sleeping daughter’s room, Virat Kohli went downstairs to check on his RCB teammates that he’d brought home after the big win.
Lunch is served
"Another day, another dollar," Tom Phillips groaned as he slumped on a chair in Hawthorn's common room that wasn't covered in old brown and yellow confetti.
Nightmare on Pat's Street
Sweat rolled down Pat Lipinski’s face as he sat up in bed, panting hard. A nightmare. Some guy with razors for hands trying to claw his eyes out.
Hidden finger rings
“Alright, aaaaaaand take your blindfolds off,” Dale Thomas instructed his family as he pulled up the car at the beach.
I take this magnetic force of a man to be my lover
“Everybody relax!” Alex Fasolo called as he walked into the church, “I’ve got the rings! They’re black with a skull instead of a diamond!”
Halloween preparations
Being greeted by dogs with spiders legs attached to their backs wasn’t even the weirdest thing that Shae had come home to but it was definitely creepy.
........................
i don't know if there's a pattern, and I only did 12 and not the required 20 because I'm lazy. The pattern would be there all about footballers and/or they suck.
My favourite one would either be the one from Nightmare on Pat's Street or the one inspired from TOFOP "everybody relax" or the one implying that dogs with spiders legs isn't the weirdest thing Faz's girlfriend has come home to (which is very much true, we all know what living with Faz would be like)
actually the pattern for a lot of them might be Halloween. Just typical of the month of October lol.
