«We went to see The Darkness and somehow planets aligned and I got to play a song with the band after their soundcheck... this was a really surreal experience. It’s no secrets for the people that know me that this band is a big part of my life. I have a lot of influences when we’re talking guitars, but Dan Hawkins is someone that I’ve been looking up to for many years and if I grab a guitar, the first thing to be played will most likely be a Darkness riff. I’m obsessed with his playing, his sound and his brother’s voice & lyrics! So yeah, pretty big deal for me to be able to stand on stage with them. I even got to play on one of Justin’s main guitars! But out of all of this, the best part was to get so many compliments about my playing, especially from Dan! Hearing such nice things coming from someone like him really means the world to me and it makes me wanna raise my game even more.
