Viens, dégèle leur froid présage, dissous-les : perce-neige, et les exhalaisons raides, veinées de mort des crocus blancs et mauves fleurs de la pénombre, issues de la corruption, nourries dans la décomposition, jets d’exquise finalité ; viens printemps, saccage-les ! Je piétine les perce-neige, je prends plaisir à briser les jonquilles, à détruire les frais narcisses ; car j’en ai assez de leur sang timoré, de leur sang paresseux, de leur chair glacée, de leur mauvais présage. Je veux le vin pur et ardent du printemps, or d’une clarté délicate, inconcevable et essentielle, presque aussi rare qu’un rayon pourtant d’une puissance écrasante, fort, comme la plus grande force équilibrant le monde.
