How old were you when you first played Mass Effect?

19, it was only like last year that I started the ME trilogy, I’d been obsessed with Dragon Age before then but was not a fan of sci-fi, so I never picked it up until I went to to Japan and my friend recommended Mass Effect to me so I spent every night after that watching each of the romance paths of the trilogy on youtube haha when I got home I immediately bought ME2 and played it before getting ME1 and 3 and playing them. 

What’s the most embarrassing mistake you’ve made in this game?

Hmm I don’t really know, I mean I don’t really make any mistakes I don’t think? What does it mean by mistake? Can you make mistakes in Mass Effect? Does forgetting what class your Shepard was and accidentally changing it in each game count? Bc I’ve done that a few times.

I mean there was that one time when I first played ME2 and accidentally romanced Thane while I was trying to hit it with Garrus. When Thane called me siha for the first time I literally avoided the life support for the rest of the game in case he confessed his love for me and I’d be forced to accept it or awkwardly admit I was totally banging the dinosaur in the main battery.

Other embarrassing stuff I’ve done while playing Mass Effect is in my first playthrough when I met Tali I started to cry even though I hadn’t yet played the first game and didn’t know anything about her but I knew she was a companion from ME1 and I remember when I saw her it was like seeing an old friend I was like “oh that’s Tali! Tali’s in the first game! Oh my god Tali it’s you you’ve come back this is so amazing I love you??”

There’s also the awkwardness of basically accidentally romancing both Liara and Kaidan in ME1 like no one can avoid that I think it’s kind of annoying tbh. Also I didn’t know who Wrex was when I first played ME2 so I was kinda like ‘meh’ on Tuchunka but then when I came back to ME2 after playing through ME1 I started crying when I saw Wrex and he called me his friend I was literally balling like ‘Wrex! It’s you! My giant rage baby I love you!’

As for mistakes well, idk. I got Jack and Tali killed once on the suicide mission and cried my eyes out and replayed two days worth of gameplay to save them. I played through the entire first game without once changing anyone’s gear or levelling up anyone’s skills bc I didn’t know you could. I missed a lot of random side missions through the trilogy the first time around, and the biggest mistake I think I’ve ever made was fucking playing the Arrival DLC. It’s trash and you only have bad outcomes and I’ll never play it again, I’m happy with my Shepard not being responsible for wiping out an entire batarian colony or letting the Reapers through, I’ll let the Alliance handle that thank you very much.

Not counting Liara (who is her best friend and wife), Letha’s best buds are Garrus and Miranda. Throughout ME2, they were her right and left hand. She trusts them implicitly and, when the timing is right, they have fun together.

Galaxy - Under what circumstances do they find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable?

For someone who kills on a regular basis, Letha is very moral about it. She won’t take the life of someone who can’t defend themselves or has surrendered, and won’t take a life unless it serves a purpose. If she can use words instead of force, she will do it, without a second thought.
