Strange glass cat that was found outside a pawn shop where we found a juicer I remember from TV ads, and a mass DVD writer.
And a big old camcorder I did buy.
Gold and Silver Pawn and Value Village in Red Deer, AB.

To my fellow thrifters: I'll occasionally post an Info Box with snippets of information you can use to spot the gems at an estate sale, yard sale, flea market, or thrift shop each week.
If you want me to research certain items, let me know in the comments, and I'll get on it. Thank you!

Bellas Hess & Co. was a department store located on Broadway and Prince St in New York City, NY. The store was founded in the mid-19th century and was known for its wide range of products, including clothing, housewares, and other goods.
One of the ways in which Bellas Hess & Co. marketed its products was through its catalogues. These catalogues were essentially thick books that were filled with pictures and descriptions of the various items that the store had for sale. Customers could order items directly from the catalogue and have them shipped to their homes.
Bellas Hess & Co. produced catalogues on a regular basis, with each new edition featuring the latest products and styles. These catalogues were highly anticipated by customers and were often kept as reference materials for future purchases.
Today, Bellas Hess & Co. is remembered as one of the most iconic department stores of its time. While the store is no longer in business, its catalogues provide a fascinating glimpse into the world of retail during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Many of these catalogues have become collectors' items and are prized by those interested in fashion, design, and cultural history.
