#my art #not sure if i wanna tag these... hrm #i wonder if alt text shows up in search results.... shudders #well anyway. i wanna ramble about these!!#for willy mafton: i've been working on designing more of the human cast. mainly all the big name important ones #it's been a slow process + a little challenging but i like getting the chance to practice drawing faces! :]#in regards to His design specifically.. it's very much based off of his movie apperance #but with a reference to that Classic sprite thrown in #bc i thought making him a little cartoony and inhuman would fit him :] but idk im not an expert on his character or anything #about the rabbit lady: i forgot how i had that idea initially but it ended up looking so fucking cool tbh #im always a fan of making her design less of a feminine eye candy type of design and more of a Spooky Murderer type >:3c #it also gave me the idea to try making some similar designs for the glams...#but if i do that im not gonna be giving them that vintage rubber mask look... since they're meant to be super flashy and high tech looking #so i was thinking they could have faces with more of a silicone texture.. and that have a style based more off of their in game art work :]#so they'd be like giant dolls with weird moving faces rather than having a vintage animatronic look #also that van in the bottom middle is 100% a homage to a specific user i wont be mentioning but iykyk HFJZJFJF #ANYWAY the 🌞🌜 stuff: dont be weird about it please HFJZJG #im aware that these tags are very easy to ignore but like. genuinely pls dont be weird about them #dont romanticize it. its not meant to be ''y/ndere'' or anything like that #its actually a bit personal to me so like... interpret it as you like but be aware its not meant to be a happy or positive thing #anyway i think thats all i have to say... i've been trying to branch out a tiny bit regarding the things i draw #it's always nice to challenge yourself even if its tough... especially if its tough!!#i mainly draw just for my own sake but i hope ppl see something they like here #these tags got so fucking long oops... i'll stop now JFKZJFKSJGKSJG

WOOOOOOO THE BASE FOR MY PILLARS HOODIE IS FINALLY DONE

#thanks mom <- the sewing expert #the hoodie has a cool lining now and specifically on the sleeves and the hood it's this soft knitted fabric that feels REALLY good to wear #the back is just recycled t shirt fabric but that's fine it's warm and colorful which was the point #also per my request the zipper was replaced with buttons #it looks SO COOL now. and it feels heavier and warmer and nicer to wear. and it also has kind of a vintage vibe bc the hoodie we used as the #base was pretty worn down and washed out #and now all that's left is to come up with a design #ngl I might keep this one lowkey because I kind of want to let the hoodie itself shine here #but we'll see what I end up wit #*with #project: hoodies

Walked out of my friend's place yesterday and her bf says, "want a antique sewing machine?" And son of a bitch there was one left out on the curb for the taking. Bottom part is still a their place cuz it couldn't fit in my car but once I get it you know I'm gonna try restoring it.

If the website I found is accurate and I'm reading it right then this bad boy is from 1910!!

The good: I found an extremely delightful, very gnome/hobbit-core cabinet to store my glazes & clay in on fbook marketplace and it fit perfectly in our subaru & everything (because station wagons? Are magic!).

The less good: I was SUPER jazzed to get it up to my studio & rearrange everything this aft...but it needs another set of muscles to get it up the stairs to my studio so now it's just sitting in the library, mocking me until we can lure someone over & get them to help us >:(

It is really cute, tho, eh?

If anyone recognizes the style/knows anything about it (it appears to be wood veneer - maybe walnut? - on top of cheaper wood - maybe pine?, construction is pretty sturdy but not super fancy, I'm in Canada but don't know whether it was made here), please tell me! I'd love to know more!

I am immediately reminded of the sites I go to when looking up vintage fountain pens. The best ones are walls of text with awkwardly placed photos of the pens in question. And they know *everything*.

Two of my faves:

Sometimes I’m looking for something online - often “how to” articles - and I want to filter for - like - a website that was clearly built in 2010 at the latest, which may or may not have been updated since then, but contains a vast wealth of information on one topic, painstakingly organized by an unknown legend in the field with decades’ worth of experience. I don’t want a listicle with a nice stolen picture in a slideshow format written by a content aggregator that God forgot. I want hand-drawn diagrams by some genius professor who doesn’t understand SEO at all, but understands making stir-fries or raising stick insects better than anyone else on this earth. I don’t know what search settings to put into Google to get this.
