Hi! This is my first time ever making a post on tumblr!! Although, I am not new to this app, as I’ve been using it for a while now (2017 to be exact!)
I’m finally confident enough to start sharing my art on here! (Never before because all those amazing artists out there on this app make me nervous. 🥲)
It’s mostly going to consist of Fortnite, Overwatch, TF2 and some Vocaloid plus good omens. Lots of it will be ship art too.
This post is a bit of an introduction post before I share my first actual post!
My name is Tommy, I’m a 20 yr old trans guy, and am bisexual. I’m originally from Poland and now reside in upstate New York! 🇵🇱🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈
I am autistic and a few of my hyperfixations right now are vintage media, Fortnite and niche music. 🎧
A few quick fun facts I have are…. Drum roll please….
• I’ve been playing Fortnite since 2017 and Overwatch since 2016!
• I am currently restoring a Mac Classic II and an iMac G3!
• Documentaries are my favorite genre of film entertainment!
• I’ve been actively (and mostly inactively) creating art since 2014!
• And I create fan fiction on AO3 occasionally!
I’m not the most interesting person so I hope this is enough information. 😅
Thank you for reading if you made it this far! I hope you have a lovely day or night! 🖤

About the Films:
Superman: The Movie
Academy Award winners Marlon Brando and Gene Hackman head an all-star cast in the fantastic, action-packed film that made Christopher Reeve an international star playing the greatest superhero of all time. From the doomed planet of Krypton, two parents launch a spaceship carrying their infant son to earth. Here he grows up to become Clark Kent, mild-mannered reporter for the Metropolis Daily Planet. But with powers and abilities far beyond those of ordinary men, he battles for truth and justice as Superman.
An Alexander Salkind presentation and directed by Richard Donner (The Goonies, Lethal Weapon, The Lost Boys), the film stars Academy Award winner Marlon Brando (On the Waterfront, The Godfather) as Jor-El, Academy Award winner Gene Hackman (The French Connection, Unforgiven) as Lex Luthor, Margot Kidder as Lois Lane, and Christopher Reeve as Clark Kent/Superman.
Based on the DC character created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, Superman was produced by Pierre Spengler from a story by Mario Puzo and a screenplay by Puzo, David Newman, Leslie Newman, and Robert Benton. Ilya Salkind served as executive producer. The film also features Ned Beatty as Otis, Jackie Cooper as Perry White, Glen Ford as Jonathan Kent, Margot Kidder as Lois Lane, Valerie Perrine as Eve Teschmacher, and Terrance Stamp as General Zod.
Superman was nominated for three Academy Awards, including Best Film Editing, Best Music (Original Score) and Best Sound. The film also received a Special Achievement Academy Award for Visual Effects. In 2017, Superman was inducted into the Library of Congress National Film Registry.
SYNOPSIS
Superman II (Theatrical Version)
Unwittingly released from Phantom Zone imprisonment, three superpowered Planet Krypton criminals Terence Stamp, Sarah Douglas and Jack O'Halloran) plan to enslave Earth – just when Superman (Christopher Reeve) decides to show a more romantic side to Lois Lane (Margot Kidder). Gene Hackman also returns as Lex Luthor in this sequel that features a top supporting cast, witty Richard Lester direction, and visuals that astound and delight.
Directed by Richard Lester (A Hard Day’s Night, The Three Musketeers), the film stars Academy Award winner Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor, Margot Kidder as Lois Lane, and Christopher Reeve as Clark Kent/Superman.
Based on the DC character created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, the film was produced by Pierre Spengler from a story by Mario Puzo and a screenplay by Puzo, David Newman, and Leslie Newman. Alexander Salkind and Ilya Salkind served as executive producer. The film also features Ned Beatty as Otis, Jackie Cooper as Perry White, Sarah Douglas as Ursa, Jack O’Halloran as Non, Valerie Perrine as Eve Teschmacher, Susannah York as Lara, and Terrence Stamp as General Zod.
Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut
Director Richard Donner began shooting Superman II while concurrently filming Superman: The Movie, though the theatrical version of the film was ultimately directed by Richard Lester. In 2006, Donner’s original unique vision was released for the first time. Jor-El (Marlon Brando in footage cut from the theatrical version) appears in key scenes that amplify Superman lore and deepen the relationship between father and son. Lois Lane (Margot Kidder) plots more schemes to unmask Clark Kent as Superman (Christopher Reeve). With so many changes, large and small, including a different beginning and resolution, this version is an eye-opening alternate experience.
Directed by Richard Donner, the film stars Academy Award winner Marlon Brando as Jor-El, Academy Award winner Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor, Margot Kidder as Lois Lane, and Christopher Reeve as Clark Kent/Superman.
Based on the DC character created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, the film was produced by Pierre Spengler and Michael Tau from a story by Mario Puzo and a screenplay by Puzo, David Newman, and Leslie Newman. Superman III
Meet Gus Gorman (Richard Pryor), a naive computer-programming natural. For him, a keyboard is a weapon – and, as a result, Superman faces the microelectronic menace of his life. Christopher Reeve reprises his signature role, deepening his character’s human side as Clark Kent sees Lana Lang (Annette O’Toole) at a Smallville High class reunion. And when the Man of Steel becomes his own worst enemy after exposure to Kryptonite, Reeve pulls off both roles with dazzling skill. Relive Superman III with all its heart, heroism and high-flying humor.
Directed by Richard Lester, the film stars Christopher Reeve as Clark Kent/Superman and Margot Kidder as Lois Lane.
Based on the DC character created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, the film was produced by Pierre Spengler from a screenplay by David Newman and Leslie Newman. Alexander Salkind and Ilya Salkind served as executive producer. The film also features Richard Pryor as Gus Gorman, Jackie White as Perry White, Marc McClure as Jimmy Olsen, Annette O’Toole as Lana Lang, and Robert Vaughn as Ross Webster.
Superman IV: The Quest for Peace
Christopher Reeve not only dons the title hero’s cape for the fourth time but also helped develop the movie’s provocative theme: nuclear disarmament. To make the world safe for nuclear arms merchants, Lex Luthor (Gene Hackman) creates a new being to challenge the Man of Steel: the radiation-charged Nuclear Man (Mark Pillow). The two foes clash in an explosive extravaganza that sees Superman save the Statue of Liberty, plug the volcanic eruption of Mount Etna and rebuild the demolished Great Wall of China.
Directed by Sydney J. Furie (The Ipcress File, Iron Eagle), the film stars Academy Award winner Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor, Margot Kidder as Lois Lane, and Christopher Reeve as Clark Kent/Superman.
Based on the DC character created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, the film was produced by Yoram Globus and Menahem Golan from a story by Christopher Reeve & Lawrence Konner and Mark Rosenthal and a screenplay by Konner & Rosenthal. The film also features Jackie Cooper as Perry White, Marc McClure as Jimmy Olsen, Jon Cryer as Lenny, Sam Wanamaker as David Warfield, Mark Pillow as Nuclear Man, and Mariel Hemingway as Lacy Warfield.

I dusted off the 93 Rockstar RMs!
It was a Christmas miracle I tell ya! I actually played a set of drums I restored!
The 1993 Rockstar RMs RULE!
I had the opportunity to play drums (after far too many years of not playing) for a “Christmas Holiday Sing” assembly at my kids elementary school. Evidently the fifth grade drummer sadly fell ill so they thought “...hmmm who do we know who plays like a fifth grader?” So they asked the next best thing to a fifth grade drummer to fill in....ME!
The band was pretty much an “old guy band” comprised of parents of some of the students...all mutual acquaintances which was cool and vibey. Oddly enough it turned out pretty well. After years of not playing and only a couple hours of quick rehearsal, we totally killed “North Pole Rock and Roll” as all the kids in school sang along,
Ready set...ROCK POSE!
For those of you playing the home version of the game, I busted out a 10″ up 14″ down 20″ kick setup along with my 1985 14″ x 6.5″ King Beat snare that looked MASSIVE with the small size kit. Needless to say, in that gymnasium...that snare sounded as much like a cannon as it did when I bought it back in 1985!
Any old cat that ever played a high school battle of the bands has a special place in his or her heart for gym acoustics!
Of course, all of my fully restored, heavy duty 80′s vintage Titan hardware made the trip. Unfortunately, the torn ligaments in my forearm regretted that decision! I forgot that it’s a well known fact that one should NOT carry more than one, heavy ass Titan hardware piece per hand at a time lest you will regret it. I actually think it’s illegal in most states. Looked pretty sweet tho no?
Cymbal setup was a mix of vintage Paiste and Zildjian. 14″ New Beat hats, 14″ Paiste 2002 Power Splash, 18″ Paiste 2002 Crash and a 21″ Zildjian Rock Ride. Fortunately for the kids, I left my 20″ Paiste RUDE China cymbal at home as I didn’t want to trigger anyone or send a kid to the nurse’s office with a melted face!
When I added in the 80′s Camco/Tama kick pedal and a Titan throne complete with genuine vintage cigarette burns (I don’t smoke)...I had myself a small slice of rock and roll heaven!
All in all this little gig was a freaking blast! The students and teachers loved it, and I even scored some “Cool Dad” points with my kids who were under the impression that I was just a miserable old hobo living in a van down by the river.

Tumbling Treasure: A Beginner's Guide to Polishing Your Jewelry Game
So, you've inherited a box of grandma's vintage baubles, stumbled upon a treasure trove of antique trinkets, or simply fallen in love with the idea of crafting your own sparkly creations. But alas, your gems are a little worse for wear, tarnished by time and yearning for a fresh shine. Enter the magical world of tumbling!
This guide is your passport to unlocking the secrets of jewelry polishing with these little rotating drums. Forget elbow grease and messy polishes – tumbling offers a gentle, effective way to restore luster and reveal the hidden beauty within your precious pieces.
What is Tumbling?
Think of it as a mini spa day for your jewelry. Tumbling uses abrasive media (like tiny ceramic beads) and water to buff away dirt, tarnish, and scratches, leaving your precious metals and gemstones gleaming like new. No harsh chemicals or vigorous scrubbing required!
Getting Started:
Gather your gems: Identify the materials you'll be tumbling. Metals like silver, gold, and brass fare well, while softer stones like pearls and opals need special care. Consult a reference guide if unsure. Choose your media: Different grits (abrasiveness levels) cater to different materials. Start with a coarser grit for heavily tarnished pieces and switch to finer grits for a polished finish. Fill 'er up! Place your jewelry and media in the tumbler barrel, ensuring enough water covers everything. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for proper ratios. Time to tumble: Depending on the material and desired finish, your gems can tumble for a few hours to several days. Patience is key – let the gentle dance of beads and water do its magic! The grand reveal: Rinse your sparkling treasures and marvel at their newfound radiance! Be gentle with delicate pieces and consider a soft brush for finer details. Bonus Tips:
Separate your treasures: Mix precious metals with caution, as harder metals can scratch softer ones. Consider tumbling different materials in separate batches. Don't forget the love! Use polishing cloths specifically designed for your jewelry materials to add an extra touch of shine and protect against future tarnish. Safety first: Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for your specific tumbler model and ensure proper ventilation while tumbling. Beyond Basics:
Once you've mastered the basics, explore! Experiment with different media combinations, add cleaning solutions for extra oomph, and even try tumbling your own rough gemstones for a truly unique experience. Don't be afraid to get creative and let your inner gem guru shine!
Happy tumbling, and remember, sparkling treasures await!
Share your experiences and questions in the comments below! Let's build a community of jewelry enthusiasts who love bringing old treasures back to life and creating new ones with every spin of the tumbler.

HEAR: Psych-Rock | Howlin’ Jaws - “Lost Songs”
The 60s are alive and well. Howlin’ Jaws bring their unique sounding 60s, garage, psych rock to the table with their latest single “Lost Songs.” The band is just as much new as it is nostalgic. There has been a flood of artists harkening back to the old sounds. However, Howlin’ Jaws really stands out with their beautiful harmonies, jangling guitar rock, and vintage look/appeal. Check out “Lost Songs” below and let us know your thoughts. SOUNDS: like Temples, Beatles, the Kings SMELLS: like vintage leather Read More… Prepare to have your faith in rock music restored as Parisian power trio Howlin' Jaws releases their highly anticipated second album, "Half Asleep Half Awake." Following the success of their debut album, "Strange Effect," the band is back with a fresh batch of overpowered hits, luminous melodies, and diabolical finger-burning jams that will leave audiences craving for more. Comprised of Djivan Abkarian on vocals and bass, Lucas Humbert on guitar, and Baptiste Leon on drums, Howlin' Jaws draws inspiration from the golden era of fifties and sixties rock. Influenced by legendary acts such as Cochran, Small Faces, Beatles, Kinks, and Slade among others. Already making waves nationally, the record was released last month in France to resounding acclaim from the press and fans alike. The album garnered attention from esteemed publications such as Rock & Folk and Rolling Stone France who featured them on their cover. For "Half Asleep Half Awake," the band returned to Liam Watson's renowned Toe Rag Studios in London. Watson's production genius has been behind acclaimed albums like The White Stripes' "Elephant" as well as collaborations with Madness, Tame Impala, and Supergrass. In a departure from their previous work known for flamboyant moments and sharp riffs that cuddle the ear, the band decided to embrace spontaneity by infusing psychedelic phases and thunderous rhythmic signatures into their new tracks. This creative shift was inspired by their experience serving as a backing band for an award-winning theater company during performances of the play Électre des Bas-Fonds. The improvisational nature of these collaborations found its way onto "Half Asleep Half Awake," resulting in an album that can be likened to a pro gymnast's performance - an exhilarating succession of dynamic mega-hits. Standout tracks like "Lost Songs," "Mindreader," and the title track itself deliver captivating ballads brimming with powerful nostalgic emotions. Other songs such as "Mirror Mirror" showcase experimental elements like sitar-like guitars and vocals run through Leslie speakers for a vibrato effect. Drum and guitar solos are also infused with phaser effects to further elevate the sound spectrum. According to the band: "Two years ago, we didn't think we'd be experimenting so much and incorporating so many effects into our music. But now it seems self-evident to use them to flesh out the sound spectrum." This evolution marks a coming-of-age moment for Howlin' Jaws; it's their consecration album. The overall aesthetic of "Half Asleep Half Awake," from the AI-designed artwork to the sound, perfectly supports the album's themes of dreams, clairvoyance, incantations, and mysticism. In essence, this second album can be considered their own version of "Sgt. Pepper" - an album where chemistry and sonic experiments give birth to frenzy, wildness, and emotion. Step into the vibrant embrace of "Half Asleep Half Awake" and let its lush tapestry envelop your senses in an unforgettable voyage through euphoria, wildness, and psychedelic enchantment. Revitalize Your Space with Lampshade Repair and Replacement
Lampshades are often the unsung heroes of interior decor. They not only filter and diffuse light but also add a touch of style to your living spaces. Over time, however, they can show signs of wear and tear, becoming faded, damaged, or outdated. That's where lampshade repair and replacement come into play. In this guide, we'll explore the importance of lampshades, the cost-effective option of repair, and how to choose the perfect replacement to revitalize your space.
The Importance of Lampshades
Lampshades play a crucial role in setting the ambiance of a room. They soften and direct light, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Additionally, they can add character and style to your decor. Whether you have a vintage lamp that's been in the family for generations or a modern fixture, a well-chosen lampshade can enhance its aesthetics and functionality.
Lampshade Repair: Cost-Effective Restoration
Before you consider replacing a beloved lampshade, consider the cost-effective option of repair. Damaged or worn lampshades can often be brought back to life with some simple fixes. This can include re-covering with a new fabric, repairing structural damage, or reinforcing the frame. Not only does this save you money, but it also preserves the sentimental value of a cherished lamp.
Professional lampshade repair services are available for more complex restorations. These experts have the skills and materials to refurbish vintage or antique lampshades, ensuring they look as good as new. A repaired lampshade can maintain its charm while extending its lifespan.
Choosing the Perfect Replacement Lampshade
If your lampshade is beyond repair or you're looking for a fresh look, selecting the right replacement is essential. Consider the design, size, and material to match your existing decor. A classic drum shade offers a clean and modern look, while a bell-shaped shade adds a touch of traditional elegance.
The choice of fabric is equally important. Linen and silk provide a soft, diffused light, while burlap or metal shades offer a rustic or industrial feel. The color and pattern of the fabric should complement your room's color scheme and style. If you're unsure, seek advice from a professional lampshade retailer or designer to ensure the perfect fit.
Lampshades are more than just accessories; they are key elements of your interior decor. Whether you opt for lampshade repair to restore their former glory or choose replacement lampshades to bring a fresh look to your space, making the right choice can rejuvenate your home's ambiance and aesthetics. Don't underestimate the impact a well-crafted lampshade can have on your living spaces.

Expert Advice from Crane Parts Professionals
Crane maintenance teams gain invaluable expertise from developing close working relationships with professional crane parts suppliers. Experienced distributors and manufacturers have seen virtually every type of crane parts issue and understand how to remedy problems through optimal component selection and repairs. Tapping this knowledge can protect equipment investments and avoid expensive pitfalls when sourcing replacement parts. Here are some key insights from crane parts pros.
Veteran suppliers emphasize sticking with OEM parts that match your crane’s specifications instead of gambling on unauthorized generic parts. Though aftermarket parts cost less, the potential impacts of a component failure in terms of safety, downtime, and collateral damage are too severe to risk. OEM parts ensure proper fit, ratings, and life expectancy. Let your crane parts supplier source certified original equipment components on your behalf.
Parts specialists advise implementing detailed receiving inspection procedures for crane parts orders. Carefully examine shipments for any transit damage, incorrect items, or missing fasteners. Installation issues arise when damaged parts go undetected initially. Don't rush parts into service before thorough QC checks, advises suppliers.
For optimal longevity, suppliers recommend keeping replacement crane parts in protected storage until needed for repairs. Temperature swings, moisture, UV radiation, and dirt in the operating environment degrade shelf life. Store parts in clean, climate-controlled warehouses using best-practice parts management. Never leave items loose outdoors on the job site.
Leading crane parts suppliers suggest maximizing the remaining useful life by refurbishing some worn parts like sheaves, drums, and bearings rather than automatically replacing them with new ones. This reduces costs. But they caution refurbishing can only be done a limited number of times before full replacement is required. Supplier expertise guides proper part restoration.
Parts professionals highly recommend spending time upfront identifying all long lead time crane parts for each equipment model. Planning long lead part purchases months ahead of maintenance events helps prevent costly downtime according to suppliers. Review OEM manuals diligently for lead time warnings.
For older cranes, suppliers advise looking into aftermarket parts availability before needs arise. Certain OEM parts may be discontinued and require reengineering custom replacements when failures occur. Researching options ahead of crises simplifies sourcing for vintage equipment. Partner with knowledgeable suppliers.
Experienced parts distributors suggest systemically tracking maintenance history and parts replacement trends across fleets to inform future procurement and scheduling. Data analysis provides valuable failure insights over time that guide inventory planning with a crane parts supplier.
Crane parts suppliers emphasize proper parts storage and handling to prevent inventory damage before installation. Use appropriate packaging, climate control, organization systems, and delicate handling procedures. Conduct routine inventory inspections too. Follow supplier preservation tips.
The consensus among crane parts experts is developing long-term relationships with reputable suppliers optimizes the entire replacement parts process. Transactional sales lack service. Trusted partners offer technical expertise, rapid response, and custom solutions not possible otherwise.
Tap into the wealth of real-world knowledge that a professional crane parts supplier has amassed over years of experience solving maintenance problems through optimal component repairs and replacements. Their expertise and partnership support equipment uptime and safety.

How much are old appliances worth for scrap
Old appliances, such as refrigerators, washing machines, and ovens, can often be found taking up space in garages, basements, and storage units. Many people wonder if these outdated and non-functional appliances have any value beyond their scrap metal content. The answer to this question depends on various factors, including the type of appliance, its condition, and the current market conditions for scrap materials.
The value of old appliances for scrap primarily comes from the metals they contain. These appliances typically have components made of valuable metals like steel, aluminum, copper, and sometimes even precious metals like gold or silver. Steel is a common component in most appliances, while aluminum and copper can be found in electrical wiring, coils, and other parts. To determine the worth of an old appliance, one must consider the weight and composition of these materials.
Refrigerators and air conditioning units, for example, contain a significant amount of steel, as well as copper tubing in the cooling system. This makes them more valuable in the scrap market. Similarly, appliances like washing machines and dryers have steel drums and other metal components, adding to their scrap value. However, the precise value will depend on the weight and the current market price for scrap metals, which can fluctuate.
One critical factor in assessing the worth of old appliances is their condition. Appliances that are in good working order or can be easily repaired often have a higher resale value than those that are non-functional. In many cases, people may choose to sell or donate still-functioning appliances to avoid scrapping them altogether. Non-functional appliances, on the other hand, are usually dismantled and sold for their scrap metal content. The condition of the metal, whether it's rusted or corroded, can also affect the scrap value.
Market conditions play a significant role in determining the value of old appliances for scrap. The prices of scrap metals are subject to fluctuations based on global supply and demand. Consequently, it's essential to keep an eye on the current market rates to get an accurate estimate of an appliance's scrap value. Local recycling centers or scrap yards may offer different prices for various metals, so it's a good idea to shop around and compare offers.
It's worth noting that some older appliances, particularly those with unique or antique designs, may hold additional value beyond their scrap metal content. Collectors and enthusiasts often seek out vintage appliances for restoration or decorative purposes, and these items can fetch higher prices in the resale market.
In conclusion, the worth of old appliances for scrap depends on several factors, including the type of appliance, its condition, and the current market conditions for scrap metals. While non-functional appliances are typically dismantled and sold for their metal content, working appliances may have a higher resale value. It's essential to research and consider the specifics of each appliance to make an informed decision about whether to scrap or sell it. Ultimately, the value of old appliances for scrap can vary, but with the right knowledge and research, you can make the most of these unused items while contributing to recycling and reducing waste.

Sanding the Cherry Wine Superstar shells...oh the agony.
I finally got back to working on the Cherry Wine Superstar shells this weekend. These will be the donor shells for my Piano White project kit. Sanding down the forty year old lacquer is excruciatingly time consuming to say the least. The 16″ floor tom alone took close to an hour and a half! So far I’ve managed to prep the 10″, 12″, 13″ and 16″ shells. The remaining 18″ floor tom and 22″ kick shells will easily take two hours or more a piece. Now I remember why I need to take several, extended, weeks at a time breaks from working on these!
Make sure to check out the short video below!
And in case you are thinking about trying this yourself...plan on doing what I am doing in the video below...for many...many...many hours.
vimeo
Whew...makes me sweat just thinking about it!
Thanks for taking a look!
