Y/n: a very apathetic and sad fool, who has many suicide attempts behind her. Some of which were almost successful, if not a "lucky" accident and a best friend. Hardly talks about her own feelings.

Vinnie: that's the best friend. Also sad, also a fool, also thinking about suicide. A little more open in his feelings. Constantly with difficulty makes Y/n talk about, what she thinks, what she feels, how she feels and what she wants.

Y/n and Vinnie: support and help each other in every way. Protecting each other from their own "demons".

Some very smart psychologist from the capital: "well, think for yourself, which person do you want to communicate with? With a someone, who is always sad? With a person, who always tells everything from a "minus" position? You yourself have noticed, that after communicating with a person, who is always bad, who is constantly in apathy, who does not know, what he or she wants and who they is in general, it gets worse for you, right? Have you noticed? Of course you are. People, who constantly say everything from the "minus" position - suck out your energy. These are toxic people. You don't need them. You have to communicate with people, communication with whom personally you brings benefits, energy and pleasure! You don't need sad bores, who are eternally unhappy! Nobody needs them! Get rid of such people in your environment!"

Y/n: "you see? I'm saving your energy. I'm shielding you from my toxicity."

Vinnie: "... NO! That's not how it works!"

You and Vinnie were baskingon the couch. The TV droned on in the background. Something about murderers, and where they come from in general. But neither you or Vincent listened. Both of you were completely absorbed in each other, and the warmth, that the cuddles gave. You listened to his quiet and peaceful breathing, stroking his head. Vinnie's head was resting on your stomach. Completely relaxed and surrendering to your tenderness, the man almost fell asleep to the sweet songs of the whales, when suddenly the thought that, actually, he is the alpha-male here in this relationship!, hit him hard on the back of the head.

Vincent sat up abruptly, frowning. Before you could say a word, your head was pressed against his chest. While you were trying hard to digest, what the fuck just happened, your love, without letting go your head, intensely mumbled something like: "that's how it should be..." Well, okay, you don't mind.

Having settled more comfortably on your beloved chest, and hugging him under the ribs, you closed your eyes. Vinnie's fingers are comfortably nestled in your hair, gently stroking the skin of your head. 

Neither you nor he need to voice, that you both feel safe right now. You feel at peace. Right now, nothing exists in this world, except the two of you and your feelings for each other.

Vinnie: "Y/n... Bro..?" Y/n: "mmm?" Vinnie: "hon, are you going to eat this cookie..? This last one cookie..?" Y/n: "aha." Vinnie nods knowingly, inhaling, and leaves the room. Returns after a couple of seconds: "are you really going to eat it? Do you really want to eat it..? Y/n: "well, yes, I saved this cookie for myself... To eat it later." Vinnie: "mmm... Aha, okay... - The man takes a deep breath, hiding his hands in his pockets. - Do you really-really want this particular cookie? Are you sure, you want to eat this one?" Y/n, almost without holding back a smile: "yes, love, this is my cookie. - The blond nodded understandingly again. - You can eat a cookie if you want, Vinnie. - Vincent stuffed the whole cookie into his mouth in the blink of an eye, trying to say thanks with his mouth full. - I love you too, dummy."
