Currently obsessed with Brassic. It’s really nice to hear Yorkshire accents again (English but live in America) and the characters are hilarious.

Angel
Director-cowriter Robert Vincent O’Neill lacks the vision or the budget (or maybe both) to give ANGEL (1984, Shudder and YouTube) the great set pieces that would make an Alfred Hitchcock or Brian Da Palma film stand out. The picture is clearly an exploitation film, combining violence and nudity in its tale of a teenaged streetwalker stalked by a serial killer. Yet there’s terrific energy to the street scenes shot on Hollywood Boulevard and a recurring visual motif of the leading lady (Donna Wilkes) walking away between two members of her chosen family that would give the film a special resonance with gay audiences. By day, Molly is an honor student at an exclusive prep school, By night, she’s Angel, working a street corner with her friends, who include Dick Shawn as a transvestite hooker. Someone’s stalking the girls, and the victims are pretty much telegraphed. Make a date with a nice street performer you just met, share your dream of moving someplace clean like Tahiti, and the audience knows you’re kibble. The ploys to keep Wilkes a sympathetic heroine are a little obvious. Though she talks a good game about how much business she’s done, you never actually see her complete a trick, and she’s one of the few women in the film who never does nudity. But her tough persona, which sounds alarmingly like Shirley Temple, is a lot of fun, particularly when she pulls a gun on the school bully (David Underwood) after he catches her working the streets and tries for a freebee. It’s inevitable she’ll be found out at school, and those scenes are a real downer. It feels like we’re being made to pay for the zippier night life scenes. But Shawn is very good, as are Susan Tyrell as Wilkes’ tough lesbian landlady, Rory Calhoun as a former Western stunt man and Elaine Giftos as Wilkes’ high school counselor.

As previously announced, James Norton and Siobhan Finneran will also return for series three - as Catherine’s nemesis, the murderer and sex offender Tommy Lee Royce, and Catherine’s sister, the recovering addict Clare Cartwright, respectively.
Announced today, Con O’Neill will reprise his role as Clare’s recovering alcoholic boyfriend Neil Ackroyd. George Costigan will return as Nevison Gallagher, with Charlie Murphy as his daughter and Catherine’s police colleague Ann. They will be joined by other Happy Valley returning favourites including Derek Riddell as Richard Cawood, Karl Davies as Daniel Cawood, Susan Lynch as Alison Garrs, Rick Warden as Mike Taylor, Vincent Franklin as Andy Shepherd and Rhys Connah as Catherine’s grandson Ryan Cawood.
Amit Shah (The Other One, The Long Call), Mark Stanley (The Girl Before, White House Farm) and Mollie Winnard (All Creatures Great And Small, Four Lives) join the cast for series three, and will play pivotal roles in Happy Valley’s final chapter.
When Catherine discovers the remains of a gangland murder victim in a drained reservoir it sparks a chain of events that unwittingly leads her straight back to Tommy Lee Royce. Her grandson Ryan is now 16 and still living with Catherine, but he has ideas of his own about what kind of relationship he wants to have with the man Catherine refuses to acknowledge as his father. Still battling the seemingly never-ending problem of drugs in the valley and those who supply them, Catherine is on the cusp of retirement.

Miranda Fenner
On November 15, 1998, 18-year-old Miranda Fenner was working at The Movie Store, a locally owned video rental store in Laurel, Montana. At around 8:15 p.m., a passing motorist noticed a woman attempting to crawl out the doorstep of the video store. The motorist stopped and called 911. The woman, discovered to be Fenner, had been stabbed multiple times in the head and neck, and her throat had also been slashed.
Fenner was transported via Life Flight to St. Vincent Healthcare hospital in nearby Billings, where she died of her injuries within two hours.
Over 700 people were interviewed in relation to Fenner's murder, but no suspects had been named. Police could not find a motive nor suspect in the case, though it was noted that a small amount of cash had been taken from the video store's register; because of this, robbery could not be entirely ruled out as a motive.
In 2000, a man who was killed in a police shootout in Glendive, Montana, had allegedly made statements prior to his death that he had been involved in Fenner's murder; however, Glendive police reported that the statements were rumors and were not confirmed.
In 2012, Fenner's murder was given to the Billings Police Department's cold case unit. Fenner's mother, Sherry Fenner, would later advocate for an instatement of Marsy's Law in the state of Montana in 2015.
In March 2017, the Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Office interviewed Zachary David O’Neill in connection with a case involving the rape, slashing, and attempted murder of a newspaper carrier in Billings which occurred in September 1998. During this questioning with law enforcement, O'Neill admitted to being responsible for the newspaper carrier's attack, and subsequently confessed to the murder of Fenner. O'Neill pled guilty to her murder on July 22, 2019.
According to O'Neill, he murdered Fenner during an attempt to rob the video store. He later disposed of the murder weapon—a hunting knife—in Jordan, Montana, during a trip with his father.
