Gwen didn’t not tell Miles about the canon event because she didn’t care, she didn’t tell him because she thought he’d die trying to stop it. It’s explicitly why she tried to stop him from changing Pav’s canon, why she freaked out when the rubble fell on him, and why she’s more dissident against Miguel after. Like the point with her is she buys into Miguel’s agenda of being powerless against the narrative until Miles averts it in front of her and inspires her to believe in the impossible

I have come back am I allowed to ask about more WIPs from your list. I am so so curious about "Shen Yuan Gets Two Daemons", the intersection of daemons with transmigration is so interesting to me. (I may be back again later but I am trying once again to not do So Many Asks At Once)

for this fic, the concept is that when shen yuan transmigrates into shen qingqiu, he takes over the OGs body but not his soul. therefore ergo, shen qingqiu is gone, but his daemon is still there. shen yuan reluctantly makes a deal with the og scum villain's daemon—xiu ya won't turn him in for the body snatching if shen yuan works on finding a way to resurrect shen qingqiu. shen yuan's own soul is very excited to suddenly have a body of her own AND a bonus brother.

Shen Yuan returns to the world of the living with a scream.  Not his own, as it turns out. He awakens laying in bed, something warm and soft and weighty laying in his chest. There’s a soft thump thump thump that beats in time with his heart. For a moment, he feels perfectly at peace—like the best ASMR ever, sending tingles through his whole body and making every muscle relax.  That’s when the screaming starts.  Shen Yuan shoots up and instantly regrets it. The weight on his chest goes flying off with a discontented noise, and the room spins around him. He’s caught between a need to get up, to find and soothe the source of the sound, and an arresting vertigo that steals the air from his lungs. The result is him flailing half way out of bed in a tangle of—silk?  Two large, firm hands catch him around the shoulders.  “Shidi, please, stay in bed. Everything will be alright. I’ve called for Mu Qingfang. A-Su is doing what she can. Just stay still.”  Shen Yuan doesn’t recognize the latter name, but the former pings something in the back of his mind. He looks up blearily as those hands gently press him back into the mattress.  The man leaning over him has a broad, handsome face that, combined with the dark eyes and gentle, worried crease to his brow, immediately puts Shen Yuan in mind of his older brothers. He allows this to be his excuse for folding right away, letting himself be manhandled back into bed even as half of his brain is clawing for him to move, to help. He looks over the man’s shoulder, searching for the source of the agonized screaming. It sounds like someone is being murdered. What he finds is a sight his mind can’t fully comprehend. There is a large dog in a corner of the room with its paw holding something down. The thing under its paw is a shifting mass, leaking strange golden dust. One moment there is fur, then feathers, then scales. It screams all the while.  “What’s wrong with him?” Shen Yuan asks blankly.  “I’m not sure,” the man says, “but we are going to fix it.” His eyes look sad.  There is a little scrabbling noise, barely audible over the creature in the corner’s yelling. A fluffy white cat jumps onto the mattress and climbs up onto Shen Yuan’s chest.  “Ah,” he says, and his hands instinctively come up around her. She must be what he accidentally flung away before.  She makes a sleepy grumble and gets comfortable. Shen Yuan finds his energy and his ability to comprehend his surroundings fading rapidly, now that she is there, warm and solid in his arms. He bats away the human hand that reaches for his wrist absently.  “Xiao Jiu, that—”  The man next to the bed looks strangely horrified as he drifts off. Shen Yuan has no idea who he was talking to.

Oh, what is this. Realistic art, by me? 😱 Now that's something that doesn't happen every day... even less when it features Brosnan!Bond (honestly, I probably haven't drawn him "realistically" since 2014). But beyond that, yep, this is a collab with @3nigm4art yet again—as good as my line art can get, nothing can beat their amazing colours ♥️

The heart originally was me fooling around (Alec first had a much more displeased expression...), but I see 3NIGM4 took the joke one step further with the amount of skin showing, lol. Not that I'm complaining, though.

Think that this is my art magnum opus for this Fest? Ohhh, just you wait. There will be a sequel to this... in due time. 😈

Steve’s hands were cuffed rightly and bound to the table in front of him. He was alone in a dark room, but he had already found out that escaping won’t be easy. The table appeared to be regular metal, but the ropes securing his hands didn’t budge a millimeter. It had to be Vibranium. How had the Red Skull gotten his hands on Vibranium?

He contemplated throwing his head against the table to try and break it as much as he needed to flee with the handcuffs still on, when the door opened. Red Skull came in, and with him - Dracula. Oh, how wonderful.

“See, see”, the vampire whistled. Steve blinked, and suddenly Dracula was right by his side, sniffing his neck. He kept still, not moving his head an inch. So easily wouldn’t they get a reaction out of him. “It really is him”, Dracula declared.

“Of course it is him”, MODOK snarled, and with his arrival the small room felt incredibly cramped. There was definitely no way out now.

“So, Captain”, Red Skull started, “what is it gonna take for you to give us the information we need?”

Steve kept his face emotionless. “I won’t give you anything. You don’t need to try.”

“Oh really?”, Red Skull sounded amused. Not a good sign. “I am sure we can find something, don’t worry, Captain.”

MODOK… snickered. A strange sound from a being like him. “Oh yes, like having Iron Man in a cell right on this ship.” F*ck. Tony. Steve felt his emotionless mask slip for a second.

“You stupid robot!”, Red Skull shouted, “that kind of information is something you keep for much later, when it really stings!”

Dracula was coming closer again, staring right into Steve’s eyes. “Don’t worry, Red Skull. It has hit him more than he might make you believe.”

Red Skull turned towards Steve. “It is true. We have your man, so you better drop that uncaring facade and start speaking, if you’d like to see him again with all of his limbs still in place.”

“You’re bluffing”, Steve claimed, even though he really had no idea whether they were telling the truth or manipulating him.

“Am I? I guess you’ll find out eventually.” Red Skull turned towards Dracula. “I’m sure even a man with multiple health issues doesn’t need all his blood that desperately. Maybe you can visit our prisoner for a little afternoon snack.”

Steve’s heart was racing. This was the perfect moment for Tony to break through the wall, repulsors ready to blast, and say something like “miss me?” or “am I interrupting your playdate?”. But there was nothing. What if they did have him?

“Now now, that might not have been a bad strategy after all.” Red Skull leaned down so they were face to face. “Look at you, all emotionally distraught, the strong Captain America suddenly gone.” He turned around. “Bring in the tools. It’s worth a try, now that he is vulnerable.”

It's a classic for a reason but:

He's so handsome and he's leaning in a sexy way (he totally is, don't deny it) and his hip is cocked and his hair is moving in the wind and his belt makes his waist look great and he's being so kind and understanding and he doesn't know that Anakin is going to ruin everything in like 24 hours (goddammit Anakin how could you, look at him!!!) and it's very important to me.

4. If you could put this character in any other media, be it a book, a movie, anything, what would you put them in? (Darth Vader)

I think that the MCU would benefit from the addition of Darth Vader! One of the issues with that franchise is that most of the villains are generic underwritten messes who are evil because the plot demands it, not because they have any personality or motivation whatsoever. Say what you will about Vader but this man has BACKSTORY and he also has style and a complete disregard for human life and Disney already owns all of them and I think they're doing multiverse stuff currently? Drop Vader in the MCU and let him fuck up a whole new society and when one of them makes an inappropriate quip that interferes with Vader's Serious Brooding he can snap their necks.

Admittedly I haven't read Quinlan's books so my understanding of him is limited to the shows but my immediate thought is

Honestly it might be more fanon than canon which, my bad, but to me he gives off the energy of Obi-Wan's brother who is annoying him on purpose because it's funny. I love that for him.

Some Reassembly Required

With the discovery of an entire sub-section of extraterrestrials who may not have peaceful intentions, and who will mostly likely want some things they have, the U.N. is worried about Earth's protection. They move quickly to pardon the rogue Avengers, as well as re-work the Accords to be less restrictive, with the condition that the team get back together (and do their best to build a good working relationship quickly). Of course it falls to Tony to house lead the reunification efforts, but Peter's not about to let him go down and welcome his former teammates by himself, and neither is Pepper.

OKAY SO! BM REWRITE!

It's been a while since I mentally touched up on this so it might be a bit coherent ^^' BUT!!

For a Rattrap Apology arc, I want to expand on what was given to us by canon and see what I can make of it. The Maximals are in a high stress, seemingly hopeless situation, and Rattrap being the "weak link" is unfortunately getting the built up stress taken out on him. And while he's no stranger to mean-spirited banter, I want the stress of the situation to also be seriously affecting him. Cybertron has been reduced to a ghost town, they're outnumbered by the thousands and on top of all that Rattrap is unarmed and he can't transform. He's defenseless in the middle of a life or death situation with no reprieve. And when he does finally transform, it doesn't seem to fix anything. He doesn't have weapons and he still manages to screw up. I think that base concept is fascinating and I really wish it was expanded on in canon so I'm expanding on it hehehe. There's going to be more emotional build up scenes before Rattrap finally snaps and goes off on his own.

After they're reunited with Rattrap, while Rattrap tries to act like his usual self, he's more subdued and aloof, and the Maximals realize they have to earn his trust back and reflect on how they wete handling the stress of the situation nearly made them permanently lose someone they considered family. I also want a personal Rattrap and Nightscream reconcilliation scene, because while I loved their banter later on in the series, I couldn't really forget that Nightscream suggested leaving Rattrap for dead and Rattrap overhearing that. I love the potential for a familial relationship between them, and I think they could really bond over losing people they cared about and their similar sense of humor.

When Botanica arrives, I definitely want them to be nicer to eachother than they were in the show. I really want the Maximals to find hope in the relationships they have with eachother, I am a sucker for found family and friendship. I really want them to all bond by not only working together but also sharing stories about their different experiences during the wars. Loss, healing, and friendship are my favorite themes what can I say 💔

It's not a total rewrite, like I said I just want to expand and twist the things canon gave us because I do really like a LOT of the core concepts given to us! And sorry for the long paragraphs of texts, I really like writing, and Rattrap, and writing Rattrap lol

"I really want the Maximals to find hope in the relationships they have with each other" I feel this on SUCH an intense emotional level. I also have a extremely soft spot for Found Families and like... there was so much potential for it in Beast Machines. That they just never touched on.

Everybody Wants to Rule the World (realistic attempt 4)

As you might have noticed with my previous post, it is my birthday today, which calls for a healthy bit of self-indulgence—and what better way to indulge than OC art? (And another collab with @3nigm4art, too... colours always amazing, help on drawing this friggin oversized 80s jacket invaluable.)

They always lurk in the background of my stuff, they've been overshadowed by bondalec lately, but they'll never truly die; they're the bad guys, the henchpeople, the owners of bionic eyes way before Primo made it cool... Goldo and Silver, ladies, gents and those in between or beyond.

Wish I could find a good way to give them more prominent roles in Bond-centric stories, but alas so far I am unsuccessful. One day, one day...

To those who don't already know, here are the basics:

Goldo is GoldenEye (no relation with the satellite), the silent protagonist of the obscure GoldenEye Rogue Agent. A Schrödinger's OC, as I call them, since everything about him but his name and appearance is made up by me. Also 001 in my Craigverse fics. Seriously don't get me started on how I think his game of origin influenced NTTD's aesthetics.

Silver is a pure, very old OC of mine I've already talked about at length here. Basically the whole point of her existence is to tie the Rogue Agent and GoldenEye (as in, the movie) canons and also being an alumni of the Alec school of being a little shit. In my Craigverse fics (especially We, the Invisible), you might know her as 0011/Eleven. And yes, she looks extremely non-binary on purpose.

A belated offering for OC day? Yes, yes indeed... but I can one up that by making this post also a belated offering for Drabble/Doodle Day 👀
