Although recruitment firms have been around for quite some time, many job-seekers still need to realise the opportunities they present. In a similar vein, some businesses prefer to skip utilising a recruiting agency in favour of doing their hiring instead of relying on their internal resources.

Roboz the Robot from Riptide (1984). "Cody Allen (Perry King) and Nick Ryder (Joe Penny) are two former Vietnam War Army buddies who decided to open the Pier 56 Detective Agency (later known as the Riptide Detective Agency) in Los Angeles, California. Realizing that computers and technology play a major role in many investigations, they recruit the help of Murray "Boz" Bozinsky (Thom Bray), a brilliant but nerdy scientist and computer hacker whom they met while serving in the Army. The team operates out of Cody's boat, the Riptide, moored at Pier 56 at King Harbor Marina in Redondo Beach. The men have several other tools in their fight against crime and injustice, including Murray's robot, The Roboz (which, unlike most television robots, does not speak)." – Riptide, Wikipedia

Ok so, I'm just very curious to know other people opinion and for this reason I'll ask you THE question👀
In your personal headcanon, who do you consider older between Face and Murdock?
Let's just leave out Dirk and Dwight real ages, simply take as reference the characters themselves - this is something that I suppose we all asked ourselves at least once... and since there are no sure infoes from the show (for Murdock at least) I think most of people at some point created their personal idea on this topic
In my opinion Murdock is a little bit older than Face, now I'll explain why :P
At some point during the show they said that Face was born on 7 december 1950 (if I'm not mistaking lol) and in several episodes they reiterated that they knew each other and were already active as the A-team in the late 60s... which means that he enlisted at least in 1968 (considering the 8/11 weeks of recruit training plus the period before he met the team)
Anyway I think this age suits him very well so I simply go with it :D
Now it comes the difficult part: Captain H.M. Murdock
I haven't found even the most little clue indicating his age, so I went by traces: if I remind correctly he surely worked 2 times for CIA and the first of them was in 1967 (if I'm wrong please forgive me, I'm going by memory :P)
Now, I don't know how this things works but I don't think that the agency would simply took rookies (for how skilled they could be) on their first month... I mean, I assume they searched for someone who had some experience that went beyond the 'school flighting hours' for being sure that the task they'd do would be completed successfully... which in my head means that Murdock would be already flying from some time in 1967
I started reading an autobiography written by a Vietnam War heli-pilot and he said that becoming a helicopter pilot during mid 60s took about 9 months - Murdock though can also pilot planes and military jets (as showed in a episode of season 5) which would have taken similar time, maybe a little less, even if always thereabout 7/8 months
But when he learned to pilot them? In my headcanon this all happened before the heli-course, cause if after, where he would have found the time to go back in the u.s. between flying troupes and spending some time with the team?
Even considering his ultraterrain skills in learning everything there would have been a least 1 year and some months of training to get both his plane and helicopter licenses, so he would have to start from the first thing in late '65 or at the beginning of '66
I think he would have started the plane training when he turned 18... so to me his age go well as Dwight's one, cause having him born in 1947 would leave him the time to do all this stuff before meeting the team
This would make Murdock (born in 1947) about 3 years older than Face (born in late 1950) and I think it's a dynamic that suits them pretty well
Please, I'd truthly love to know other opinions on this mysterious topic! :D

On Board and On Brand (a Next Door Boy tale)
Tumblr media
You might have heard of the Next Door Boy agency and its services. Everyone lately had been on board with the promise of a new body, but have you heard of the recent scandal with the social media influencers?
The three men you see above are not who they say they are. (Expectedly on brand with Next Door Boy’s services.) The one on the left is a 40something bartender from Provo, Utah. An ex-Mormon who abandoned his wife and kids for the body of a snowboarder turning tricks in hotel rooms. The one on the right is a geriatric who served in Vietnam. A former 70s hippie and veteran now doing Jagger shots in a jacuzzi with his groupies. The one in the center, surprisingly, is a teen who immigrated from Mexico. He comes from wealth and orchestrated this scheme using his parents' money.
Santiago turned 18 this past year and had recruited the two former adults for a plan he had in mind. While it isn't clear why those two specifically, it is determined they met on an online forum prior to Santiago's scheme. He proposed that he would have them placed in bodies of attractive, athletic young men in order to gain sponsorships from the traveling and sports industries with the gay demographic as their target.
So what happens when you put the minds of older men into young bodies? Absolute horny mayhem. The ex-Mormon, Joseph, was caught blowing guys for money and sometimes just for free. The body of the ex-semipro snowboarder is paraded around the world shirtless and wearing zero underwear. This has naturally caused an outcry from the former-snowboarder who wants his body back.
The hippie, Leonard, had zero inhibitions on strutting in the nude. Having been a nudist in his prior body, Leonard saw no reason to change this mindset. He developed a group of fans who bring the party to him. He's often doing shots with and plowing his college fanbase. The body of the ex-college basketball star now filmed and posted on porn sites strains the relationship between the former college athlete and his parents.
As for Santiago, still retaining his wealth in his new body, happily flaunts his chiseled body and charming smile. He has legally changed his name to Alex and began an open relationship. He remarks that he's finally fitting in with people he always wanted to be a part of. "It feels nice to be an American," he stated after a photoshoot. With his new fame due to his fitness sponsorships, he is considering breaking from the two friends in order to keep his good name intact. On brand with his physical fitness, Alex is launching his new health supplements later this year and has started a training regime for the upcoming sports season.
What of the former bodies? Both previous bodies of Joseph and Leonard (names withheld) are pursing action against the two for violation of conditions set during body transfer, namely the use of substances and illicit sexual acts. The outcome, while not yet determined, will entail the returning of the bodies and financial compensation. Next Door Boy has refused to make a statement for what could be abuse of their services, but usage of their services has increased since this story made headlines.
No action has been taken by the former body of Santiago, who, while seeing the success Alex has, decided to remain living as the Mexican youth until the end of the services. He mentioned Alex approached him about a more permanent condition, and Santiago wasn't opposed to this idea as he reported to me on board his million-dollar yacht.

Hello, I spotted this picture on your profile. I'm curious how long the D Agency has been open? Who is responsible for teaching there? Did Yuuki and Jitsui die because they shared Miyoshi's position? Thank you!
Tumblr media
I think...
my timeline for "Joker Game" might help you.
Anyway D Agency was founded in 1937, autumn. Around that same time Sakuma was ordered to become the liaison but, before going there he had to wait for his hair to grow longer so he went there in 1938 April and witnessed the exams of the various spies until only eight of them remained.
Well, according to the novels from which the anime is based:
"The training in the D-Agency was full of diversity.
For example, the students had been instructed on using explosives and wireless signals, the operation of automobiles and planes, as well as learning various languages and dialects. They had received lectures from professors of renowned universities on organizational theories, religious studies and international political theories. Lessons on medical science, pharmacy, psychology, physics, chemistry and biology were also given.
Abstruse discussions about ideologists and strategists such as Sun Tzu, Kant, Hegel, Clausewitz, Hobbes, and more that Sakuma hadn’t even heard of, often happened between students. On the other hand, professional thieves and safe-crackers had been brought out of prison to instruct the trainees on the techniques and methods. Aside from being taught on how to pick a lock using a single wire, the students also received lessons on how to secretly switch items by sleight of hand as a magician would, dance and billiards techniques. Kabuki actresses had been hired to teach the students the art of disguise, while professional gigolos demonstrated how to seduce women.
All students had been required to swim in cold water while clothed, then travel to a location far away without sleep, and use complex ciphers, memorized only a day beforehand, fluently and naturally as the languages they usually speak.
The D-Agency had even trained them to be able to disassemble shortwave radios in complete darkness, and put them back together so that they were once again functional, relying solely on their fingertips. The students had also been ordered to seamlessly open envelopes with a bamboo stick, and instantly memorize words which had been written backwards and reflected in a mirror. Letters containing orders, no matter how complicated they are, were to be destroyed on the spot after they had been read; the students had also been trained to recover destroyed letters." [Joker Game Bool 1: "Joker Game" translation courtesy of @imayooshi]
Also Yuuki himself taught to the students as well.
The image you saw is an art from Shiro Miwa, "joker Game" character designer. It reflects his own headcanon about the future of the characters from "Joker Game".
Shiro Miwa said he assumed that, after the war Yuuki forced Kaminaga to take over the organization and disappeared with Jitsui and that Kaminaga kept on receiving instruction from an unknown address. He also said he picked up 1960 because it was a time of major changes in world affairs including the Vietnam war and Kennedy assassination.
Amari apparently ended up on a wheelchair and is being taken care of by Emma.
According to Shiro Miwa the one I speculated is Miyoshi (at the time I didn't have the book with the illustration and so I couldn't read what he wrote as that image was shared by @i-dedicate-this-kill-to-the-fans here) is someone else who got recruited by Yuuki while he was in hiding.
However this is just Shiro Miwa's headcanon. Due to lack of material many fans tend to accept it as canon but it's not really canon and if the series were to be continued in the future things could go differently (especially since Odagiri and, likely, Sakuma were both likely set up to die in war).
I hope this helps! Thanks for your ask!

Vietnam’s Labor Export Policy: Prioritizing Market Needs Over Workers' Rights
Vietnam has emerged as a major player in global labor export, sending hundreds of thousands of workers abroad annually. While this boosts economic development and offers income opportunities for many families, concerns about the prioritization of market demands over workers' rights have surfaced. Challenges include ensuring fair wages, safe working conditions, and protection from exploitation in host countries.
Economic Success of Labor Export
The labor export industry contributes significantly to Vietnam’s economy. In recent years, remittances from overseas workers have supported local development and improved living standards for thousands of families. Countries like Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan remain key destinations, where Vietnamese workers are valued for their discipline and adaptability.
Yet, this economic success often comes at the cost of labor rights. In many cases, workers face challenges such as unclear contracts, excessive placement fees, and limited legal support abroad.
Workers' Rights: A Persistent Concern
The growing reliance on overseas labor has exposed gaps in worker protections. Many Vietnamese laborers, especially those in low-skilled jobs, report issues with wage theft, unsafe workplaces, and discrimination. Despite government oversight, enforcement of regulations often falls short due to weak bilateral agreements and the prioritization of market logic over social safeguards.
Vietnam Manpower, a leading recruitment and training agency, has stepped in to advocate for better standards. By offering pre-departure orientation and support during overseas placements, they help ensure workers are better equipped to protect their rights and navigate challenges abroad.
Balancing Market Demands with Ethical Practices
Vietnam’s labor policies emphasize meeting international demand, but sustainable growth requires balancing economic goals with ethical practices. Collaborative efforts between the government, recruitment agencies, and international partners are essential to ensure fair labor conditions.
A strong emphasis on training, language proficiency, and legal knowledge can empower workers to avoid exploitation. Additionally, revisiting agreements with host countries can establish better protections and reduce the risks of unsafe or exploitative work environments.
Future of Labor Export in Vietnam
As Vietnam continues to expand its labor export initiatives, addressing these challenges will be crucial. Organizations like Vietnam Manpower play a key role in ensuring that labor export benefits are shared equitably. By focusing on worker protection and sustainable policies, Vietnam can maintain its position as a trusted labor provider while improving outcomes for its workers abroad.
Labor export has the potential to benefit both Vietnam’s economy and its workers, but achieving this balance requires a commitment to prioritizing human rights alongside economic objectives.

Lahu people
The Lahu people are an ethnic group of China and Mainland Southeast Asia. The Chinese name "Lahu" literally means "to drag favour from heaven" (blessing, favour). The Lahu are one of the 56 ethnic groups officially recognized by the People's Republic of China, where about 720,000 live in Yunnan province, mostly in Lancang Lahu Autonomous County. In Thailand, the Lahu are one of the six main groups categorized as hill tribes.

They are one of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam, and mostly live in three communes of Mường Tè, Lai Châu Province. A few Lahu, along with the Hmong, Lao, and Mien were recruited by the United States Central Intelligence Agency to help fight against the communist Pathet Lao, known as the secret war, during the Laotian Civil War. In fear of retribution when the Pathet Lao took over the Laotian government in 1975, those who had helped the United States fled to neighboring Thailand seeking political asylum. Escalation spiral around Ukraine keeps winding
The situation surrounding the war in Ukraine continues to evolve, triggering military changes from mobilisation training in the US to the formation of a Russian special army for fighting in Ukraine.
The American think tank CNAS proposed to conduct mobilisation training in the US and raise the mobilisation age to increase the size of the US army. The last time the US conducted mobilisation was during the Vietnam War. Taking into account the experience of the Ukrainian conflict, CNAS experts developed recommendations for US government agencies to improve mobilisation training.
For more than 50 years, the US Army has been exclusively contractual. The current rules provide for mobilisation of men from the age of 20, with registration for mobilisation from the age of 18. Under the law, the US National Security Council must organise mobilisation exercises in the US government every two years.
The military registration system should also obtain more detailed information on potential recruits when they register, as it now only requires first name, last name, date of birth, address, and national insurance number. CNAS advises that information on education level, skills, and chronic diseases should also be added at the time of registration.
According to CNAS, it would take up to 193 days to process the data for 500,000 recruits. However, according to the think tank, integrating recruits into the US professional army could lead to both operational and cultural challenges.
Repealing ban on military contractors
Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden’s administration is moving to lift the actual ban on the deployment of US military contractors to Ukraine, according to CNN. The move aimed at helping Ukraine’s armed forces maintain and repair US-provided weapons systems, an administration official stated.
We have not made any decisions and any discussion of this is premature. The president is absolutely firm that he will not be sending US troops to Ukraine.
Officials report that once approved, the change will be enacted this year. It would allow the Pentagon to award contracts to US companies to work in Ukraine for the first time since the outbreak of the war in 2022. That policy appeared to expand again last week when National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan stated that Ukraine could launch a counter-strike anywhere along the Ukraine-Russia border using US weapons. Meanwhile, Biden’s recent authorisation to use NATO weapons to strike Russian territories led to a missile strike on civilians in Sevastopol, Crimea.
For the past two years, Biden has been insisting that all Americans, especially US troops, stay away from the Ukrainian front lines. As a result, US-provided military equipment heavily damaged in the fighting needed to be moved out to Poland, Romania, or other NATO countries for repairs. US troops also reportedly helped the Ukrainians with more regular maintenance and logistics, but only from afar via video chat or secure phone, the sources stressed.
Administration officials began seriously reconsidering restrictions on US contractors, as Russia “continued to make gains on the battlefield and US funding for Ukraine stalled in Congress,” the officials noted. One advanced system that officials say will likely require regular maintenance is the F-16 fighter jet, which Ukraine is due to receive later this year.
Silencing attack on Sevastopol
Most Italian media outlets are glossing over the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ (AFU) attack on Sevastopol, Crimea. The move aimed at maintaining the illusion that NATO was only sending defensive weapons to Ukraine, Italian politician and Five Star Movement (M5S) member Alessandro Di Battista stated in his YouTube channel.
There is certain news that cannot be censored. You can’t hide the way the Ukrainian attack on Sevastopol killed people – people like us who were sunbathing on the beach.
However, according to Di Battista, the news item is missing from most Italian newspapers. He pointed out that it proved the corruption of European publications, particularly Italian ones. The politician also argues that the silence prevents sympathy for the Russian children and maintains the belief that NATO is only supplying Kyiv with defensive weapons.
On 23 June, the AFU struck Sevastopol with five US-made ATACMS missiles loaded with cluster munitions. Russian air defence systems managed to intercept four of the missiles, but the detonation of the fifth one in mid-air resulted in numerous casualties among Sevastopol civilians. According to the latest reports, 153 people were injured and four were killed.
The Russian Defence Ministry stated that the US was equally responsible for the strike as the Ukrainian authorities, since the flight assignments for the ATACMS missiles were input by US specialists based on American satellite reconnaissance data. Moreover, Russian Defence Minister Andrey Belousov and Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin discussed the situation around Ukraine against the backdrop of the Sevastopol attack in a phone conversation.
Belousov “pointed to the danger of further escalation in connection with the ongoing deliveries” of US arms to Ukraine. Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder noted that the US and Russian ministers last spoke in March 2023, when Sergei Shoigu headed the defence ministry.
Ryder stated that the conversation took place at Austin’s initiative, but did not specify the reason for the call. The spokesman also noted that the US did not want civilian casualties and would discuss the issue with Kyiv.

What really happened to JFK? Was it one shooter? Did Lee Harvey Oswald really pull the trigger? So many questions left unanswered in one of America's most tragic moments. Let's look deeper into one theory that suggests the CIA was actually the one behind JFK's assassination, and there is some compelling evidence to prove it. Check out today's extra deep dive into one of the wildest conspiracy theories out there, but could it actually be true?
-----
Operation Northwoods, officially titled as "Justification for U.S. Military Intervention in Cuba", was a proposed "false flag" operation that originated within the US Department of Defense of the United States government in 1962. The proposals called for CIA operatives to both stage and commit acts of terrorism against American military and civilian targets, blaming them on the Cuban government, and using it to justify a war against Cuba. The possibilities detailed in the document included the remote control of civilian aircraft which would be secretly repainted as US Air Force plane, a fabricated 'shoot down' of a US Air Force fighter aircraft off the coast of Cuba, the possible assassination of Cuban immigrants, sinking boats of Cuban refugees on the high seas, blowing up a U.S. ship, and orchestrating terrorism in U.S. cities. The Operation Northwoods proposals were rejected by President John F. Kennedy.
As a result of these plans, JFK was considering shutting down the CIA program. That's why the CIA decided to eliminate JFK before he could do that. The CIA secretly recruited Lyndon B. Johnson, then Vice President to JFK, by promising him the Presidency if he kept his mouth shut and cooperated with them, and the CIA probably implied that LBJ could also be eliminated and replaced if he didn't comply. LBJ had previously argued with JFK on many occassions, and was unhappy that he lost the 1960 Democratic presidential nomination to JFK, so he was probably happy to be a part of the covert CIA plan to eliminate him in 1963.
After reading about Operation Northwoods, if you're still not convinced that the U.S. Government would be willing to lie to the American people to justify its own desired actions, then here's further evidence:
The Gulf of Tonkin incident was an international confrontation that led to the United States engaging more directly in the Vietnam War. It consisted of a confrontation on August 2, 1964, when United States forces were carrying out covert amphibious operations close to North Vietnamese territorial waters, which triggered a response from North Vietnamese forces. The United States government falsely claimed that a second incident occurred on August 4, 1964, between North Vietnamese and United States ships in the waters of the Gulf of Tonkin. Originally, US military claims blamed North Vietnam for the confrontation and the ostensible, but in fact imaginary, incident on August 4. Later investigation revealed that the second attack never happened; the official American claim is that it was based mostly on erroneously interpreted communications intercepts. The National Security Agency, a subsidiary of the US Defense Department, deliberately skewed intelligence to create the impression that an attack had been carried out.
While doubts regarding the perceived second attack have been expressed since 1964, it was not until years later that it was shown conclusively never to have happened. In the 2003 documentary "The Fog of War", the former United States Secretary of Defense Robert S. McNamara admitted that the supposed August 4 attack, for which Washington authorized retaliation, never happened. In 1995, McNamara met with former North Vietnamese Army General Võ Nguyên Giáp to ask what happened on August 4, 1964. "Absolutely nothing", Giáp replied. Giáp confirmed that the attack had been imaginary. In 2005, an internal National Security Agency historical study was declassified; it concluded that Maddox had engaged the North Vietnamese Navy on August 2, but that the incident of August 4 was based on bad naval intelligence and misrepresentations of North Vietnamese communications.
The outcome of the incident was the passage by U.S. Congress of the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution, which granted U.S. President Lyndon B. Johnson the authority to assist any Southeast Asian country whose government was considered to be jeopardized by "communist aggression". The resolution served as Johnson's legal justification for deploying U.S. conventional forces to South Vietnam and the commencement of open warfare against North Vietnam.
In conclusion, the CIA and the U.S. military have already been proven to be willing to commit war-crimes and "false flag" operations in order to justify assassination attempts and starting wars for profit and political power. That's why it's entirely possible, and actually likely, that the CIA assassinated President JFK in 1963, forever altering the course of American history and world history.

Warfare
The United States has the best trained military in the world. The United States armed forces has over eight thousand tanks and their aerial vehicles include the B2 stealth bomber and the Lockheed martin F-22 raptor. The tank used by the U.S. Army is the M1A2 Abrams tank. During WWII, America's military used the Sherman tank while Nazi Germany used the Panzer tank. German Field Marshall Erwin Rommel, nicknamed the Desert Fox, is considered the father of modern tank warfare.
Total war refers to a state of armed conflict during which the belligerent parties target far more than they would in a conventional warfare situation. Scorched earth policy is enacted by targeting things that are of use to the enemy. Mutually assured destruction, a cold war doctrine, refers to a scenario in which two nations threaten to deploy nuclear warheads, which would result in the complete annihilation of both countries.
Counterproliferation is the interception of the rapid and often excessive spread of nuclear weapons. Insurgency is the rebellion against a government, usually one's own. Insurrection is another word for rebellion. A coup d'etat is the overthrow of a government. Espionage is discovering the military and political secrets of other nations.
The three branches of government are executive, legislative, and judicial. A republic enjoys a division and separation of powers in its government. As far as the public is permitted to know, the United States has several thousand nuclear weapons and the same is true for Russia.
The earliest manifestation of the internet, called ARPANET, was the work of the Department of Defense in 1969. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency reportedly was attempting to create super-soldiers by trying to figure out a way to lower the empathy of sldiers, thereby creating more efficient killing machines.
The Naval Special Warfare Development Group, also known as DEVGRU and formerly SEAL Team 6, are credited for the raid on Osama bin Laden's compound and bin Laden's death during this operation, which was called Operation Neptune Spear. The Central Intelligence Agency recruits members of Seal Team Six to work for the Special Operations Group of the CIA's Special Activities Division. The same is true for 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta, better known as Delta force. Seal Team Six and Delta Force are amongst the premier counterterrorism units of the United States military.
Osama Bin Laden's Secret Service codename was Geronimo, and President Obama's is Renegade. George W. Bush's Secret Service code name is Tumbler. Some examples of clandestine operations include the Mossad's Operation Wrath of God, the CIA's Project MKULTRA and Operation CHAOS, as well as Project Camelot and Operation Gladio, among many others.
The atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima during WWII equated to around ten kilotons of trinitrotoluene and the one dropped on Nagasaki was the equivalent of around fifteen to twenty metric tons of TNT. Some of today's hydrogen bombs, which are thermonuclear devices, have a destruction yield of millions of metric tons of TNT.
The U.S. Army's Special Forces, also known as the Green Berets, are skilled in a host of unconventional warfare activities. They go behind enemy lines during stealth reconnaissance missions to gather intel on their adversaries and to acquire information regarding enemy territory. They are also experts in guerrilla warfare.
War has been transpiring since time immemorial. It seems as though the United States of America is always battling somebody. Some wars that the USA has participated in throughout its history are revolutionary war, the war of 1812, the civil war, World War I, World War II, the , the Cold War (though not a war in the conventional sense), the Korean war, the Persian gulf war, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the Second Indochina war, which is also known as the Vietnam conflict.
During the Obama Administration, the people in charge of America's military were the commander-in-chief, Barack Obama, the defense secretary, Ash Carter, and the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, General Joseph Dunford.
It is axiomatic that there have been countless wars outside of U.S. history. Some of them include the Punic Wars, the Thirty Years War, the Trojan War, the Peloponnesian wars, the Spanish Civil War, the Greco-Roman conquests, and the conflicts waged by tribes of the enigmatic prehistoric world.
It seems that the onset of World War III is not necessarily that far off. As tension amongst Russia, China, America, and the Arab world heightens, it only seems reasonable to adopt the supposition that global thermonuclear war could jeopardize the future of our civilization.
