I miss the era when video games had REAL easter eggs

These days, what gets considered an easter egg is really just set dressing and world building. Like Starro in the tank in Arkham Knight isn't an easter egg. It's world building. But games used to have actual fun things to find, they didn't need to be lore relevant. They just existed to be fun

A cool Boogerman secret that even I didn't know about until shortly after I started this blog!

If you Press A+B+C+Start on the 2nd controller when Boogerman picks up the green rod after flushing BoogerMeister, you get a special credits sequence where two guys come out and wave to you. I believe the two in question are Chris and Mike themselves!

My favorite thing i've learned since becoming a game artist is this; Those little details and easter eggs in the level design, or character designs, of your latest favorite game that make you excited? The people that made them were probably also giggling and kicking their legs while making it.

I think the for me is the one about the person who feels guilty about a orphanage fire and gets haunted by those deathes
