""Patriotic" Thieves Take Victory Bonds," Montreal Star. May 7, 1943. Page 3. --- BURGLARS broke into the Atlas Dry Goods Company store at 2038 St. Lawrence boulevard last night, smashed open the safe, and stole $700 in cash and $1,200 worth of Victory Bonds.

The thieves entered an adjoining vacant house and first tried to pierce a hole through through the wall between the two buildings. Unsuccessful, they next broke through a skylight to the roof crossed to the Atlas Building and chopped an opening to the second floor. It was then an easy matter to reach the safe and smash it. The theft was only discovered at 9 a.m. today.

So, about the Toad Victory AU...

Are the two herons that Sasha takes to hunt Anne the same two herons who killed Sprig and Polly's parents?👀

Ik it'd be a crazy coincidence but YES! Most of the S3 equivalent would be about Anne and Sprig traveling the continent, and he'd recognize them instantly.

The Plantars have a complicated relationship with herons in canon, like obviously you can't exactly blame them - they're just animals following their insticts. It's not like they're maliciously seeking to hurt people. But they ARE incredibly dangerous and a huge trigger for the three of them, clearly. A big source of trauma. That's why the Plantars taming the herons in S3 is so beautiful... they're taking control of their history and their grief.

But in this case Sasha tames the herons, possibly thanks to her power. Makes me think of The Strength in tarot, which shows a woman taming a wild lion with kindness, showing that strength is not really about brute force, but mental fortitude.

So here, it's the enemy weaponizing the Plantar's trauma against them, in a conscious attempt to control them.

Or to control Anne at least, but in order to do that, Sasha must overpower the Plantars too.

When Anne and Sprig first saw Sasha's herons, they were flying on their bird through the clouds, half-lost in the mountains, trying to get a better view. Anne was trying to read the map and Sprig was holding the reins. Sprig froze when he recognized the herons, and Anne had to take the reins and get them somewhere safe, possibly between the crevices of a mountain where the herons couldn't reach. He had a panic attack - Anne had never seen him like that, and she didn't know how to help, resorting to just holding him until he felt better. He told her everything over a campfire that night, and even though Sasha couldn't have possibly known, it makes Anne all the more angry at her, for always finding the worst ways to hurt her and the people she loves.

She resolves to never let the herons hurt her family ever again. She will kill them if she has to.

It wasn’t quite like the first time he’d said it out loud, in the privacy of his apartment, curled in bed with Jazz. Only brave enough to whisper the words in the dark. There wasn’t that rush of anxiety and relief that had hit him at finally saying what had twisted over and over in his head for weeks. Now there was just that settled feeling, the certainty of it all, the surety of being on the path he wanted to be on.

He closed his hand into a loose fist, fingers rubbing over his palm, imagining he could still feel the warmth of Jazz’s skin beneath his hand. The tiny thump-thump-thump that always made his stomach flip and his heart squeeze when he felt it. It made it all the easier to say, “I wanted to ask if you’d look after my territory for me when I do.”

i think lanius was likely just some guy (who happens to be huge sdkfsd) who did alot of physical labor for his tribe.

him killing his own tribesmen when the legion attacked his tribe was in the heat of the moment methinks! When they surrendered to caesar, he genuinely was disgusted by the cowardice... i dont think he was this cruel before and the legion was exaggerating!!

i also think Caesar would use his anger to his advantage and take the opportunity to make a myth out of him. so instead instead of him killing like 3 of his tribesmen, Caesar turned it into "lanius killed ALL of his tribesmen"

As for rumors about Jade!! Lanius and jade are both myths. She's known and revered as this kind saint, while he's feared as this monster of the east. At some point, they bond over how everyone sees them through this lens, rather than seeing them as actual ppl. 😳

i did NOT linger on ch402-405 long enough because as far as i can tell katsuki brought himself back right before all might was brought over by all for one, right? but with the distance, he wouldn't have seen them, nor did he have any sufficient means of closing such a distance THAT fast. so how did he know to go to the ledge and observe below?

either those on the field told him where izuku was, or he heard izuku scream for all might. or BOTH - which is more plausible, because yes, he can trust izuku will win, but with all might in danger and dragged toward ua by all for one, it put everything in jeopardy.

and so what do you mean katsuki bakugou, dynamight, symbol of victory, likely heard izuku's cry for help from below, and charged straight to him - trusted that he would be pointed in the right direction? what do you MEAN he probably heard the desperation in izuku's voice the moment he breathed life again, and his first thoughts were; izuku is in trouble. all might is in trouble.

katsuki didn't even give himself time to live again before he went into another life-or-death fight, because what follows is that he doesn't just save all might from all for one's clutches. he goes to end all for one so he'll never achieve his goal.

because those two people are the largest testament to the man he's become, and he'll defend them with his life - like he did before.
