~Alice with her children 💗~
Princess Alice of Hesse and By Rhine (neé England) with her 6 children: Victoria, Elisabeth, Irene, Ernst Louis, Alix, and Marie
“Victoria & Ella are taller than their mother, & quite young ladies! Alicky is a glorious child, handsomer than ever a great darling, with brilliant colouring, splendid eyes, & a sweet smile. Ernie is just the same, dear good boy. Little May is also very pretty & a great darling. Alice came to my room & remained talking with me. At 4 they all left.“

Happy 47th birthday to Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, Duchess of Västergötland!
Born on 14 July 1977, Victoria Ingrid Alice Désirée is the heir apparent to the Swedish throne, as the eldest child of King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden. If she ascends to the throne, she would be Sweden's fourth queen regnant (after Margaret, Christina and Ulrika Eleonora) and the first since 1720. Her inheritance is secured by Sweden's 1979 Act of Succession, the first law in Western Europe to adopt royal absolute primogeniture.
She was baptised at the Royal Palace Church on 27 September 1977. Her godparents included Crown Prince Harald of Norway (later king of Norway), and Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands (later queen of the Netherlands, 1980-2013).
Victoria was made crown princess on 1 January 1980 by the 1979 amendment to the Act of Succession of 1810 (Successionsordningen).
On 24 February 2009, it was confirmed that permission had been granted and that Victoria would marry Daniel Westling in the summer of 2010. The wedding date was set in Stockholm Cathedral for 19 June 2010, the 34th anniversary of her parents' marriage. The couple have two children: Princess Estelle Silvia Ewa Mary, Duchess of Östergötland (12) and Prince Oscar Carl Olof, Duke of Skane (8)
Often referred to as the "Godmother of Europe, Crown Princess Victoria is the godmother of eighteen children including: Prince Constantine Alexios of Greece and Denmark; Catharina-Amalia, Princess of Orange; Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway; Prince Christian of Denmark; Princess Eléonore of Belgium; Princess Katharina of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha; Princess Leonore, Duchess of Gotland; and Prince Alexander, Duke of Södermanland.

“I think there was some intent behind Charlotte because of the Princess Royal pattern (as I pointed out yesterday) but I’m not sure how much intent there was. We know that Kate is a great student of history/history of art so she absolutely would have picked up on the Princess Royal pattern, the same way she understood the significance of George for a heir.”
There is no Princess royal pattern unless you mean the number of royal ladies, married or blood born, with the name Charlotte.
Princess Royal title came into the UK monarchy with the restoration when having spent many years at the French court, the restored Charles 2 copied the French tradition of having the eldest daughter of the Monarch given that title. The French equivalent was/ is Madame Royale.
To that end, we’ve only had 7 Princess Royals and all have different names:
Princess Mary Henriette Stuart (b. 1642)
Princess Anne, Princess of Orange (b. 1734)
Princess Charlotte Augusta Matilda (b. 1766)
Princess Victoria Adelaide Mary Louise (b. 1840)
Princess Louise Victoria Alexandre Dagmar (b. 1867)
Princess Mary Alexandra Alice Mary ( b. 1897)
Princess Anne Elizabeth Alice Louise (b. 1950)
If you are going to speak to royal names within the UK monarchy that have significance and are used more often and for much longer by the royals then you’d pick William, Mary, Margaret, Henry, Richard, Catherine ( whichever spelling K or C) and Edward.
Some names were so commonly used that it was inevitable that royals would eventually be given the names eg Richard and Elizabeth.
Charlotte, Caroline, George and Louis came in with the Hanoverians in 1714 when Georg Ludwig, anglicised to George Louis became the first Hanoverian King of England. All 4 are German names or in origin, and were not a thing until the Hanoverians.
The habit of keeping the same names in the family came in with the Hanoverians, but it wasn’t cemented until Victoria became Queen and mandated all her future descendants incorporate Albert or Victoria into their names to keep them alive. That request was broken for those generations born after her death though we are seeing a mini revival with Elizabeth.
********************
You’ve missed the point of the Princess Royal pattern entirely, despite writing it out.
Princess Mary Henriette Stuart (b. 1642)
Princess Anne, Princess of Orange (b. 1734)
Princess Charlotte Augusta Matilda (b. 1766)
Princess Victoria Adelaide Mary Louise (b. 1840)
Princess Louise Victoria Alexandre Dagmar (b. 1867)
Princess Mary Alexandra Alice Mary ( b. 1897)
Princess Anne Elizabeth Alice Louise (b. 1950)
Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana (b. 2015, assumed)
I can’t tell if you’re being deliberately obtuse or if you’re so focused on historical precedence that this is legitimately going over your head. It feels like you’re trolling me and I don’t care for it.

On December 14, 1878, Princess Alice, Grand Duchess of Hesse, died.
Diphtheria claimed the life of Queen Victoria's second daughter and third child. The disease swept the grand ducal household in early November and her eldest daughter, Victoria was the first to contract the illness (November 5).  One by one, her other children contracted the disease: Alix, Marie, Irene and Ernest. Only Elisabeth didn't suffer the disease. She was sent away by Alice to the palace of Princess Charles, her mother-in-law.  Alice's husband, Grand Duke Louis also fell ill shortly thereafter.
The young Princess Marie's condition worsened and she died on November 15. Alice kept the news from her children, and when she revealed Marie's death, the young Ernest was inconsolable that Alice kissed her son, breaking her own rule of not having physical contact with someone with diphtheria.
on December 14, she fell ill and death came quickly. Her last words were "dear Papa". She fell unconscious at 2:30 am and died just after 8:30 am, on the same day her father succumbed to typhoid in 1861.
The death of Princess Alice shocked Queen Victoria. The coincidence of Alice and Albert's death was described by the mourning queen as one that was "almost incredible and most mysterious".
Albert, Prince of Wales, who was attached to her younger sister, took Alice's death as a heavy blow. Writing to Earl Granville, he said that Alice "was my favourite sister. So good, so kind, so clever! We had gone through so much together..." Alexandra, the Princess of Wales, also sank deep in grief over her sister-in-law's passing, telling Queen Victoria, upon meeting her after Alice's death: "I wish I had died instead of her".💔💔💔

March 27, 1895
Tumblr media
Darmstadt, March 20th. The Hessian princess born on March 11th, the first child of our Grand Duke and his wife Victoria Melita, received her baptism yesterday. She was given the names Elisabeth Marie Alice Victoria after her four godmothers: Grand Duchess Serge of Russia, Crown Princess Marie of Rumania, Empress Alexandra of Russia and Queen Victoria of England. Only one of them was present at the baptism; the grandfather, the Duke of Coburg and Gotha, was entrusted with the representation. The baptism was carried out by the high preacher Dr. Bender with water from the Jordan. A very numerous group attended the family dinner in the New Palace, during which a large group of residents gathered in front the palace to encourage the participation of the ¿vole?.
The general hope is that Princess Elisabeth of Hesse gains a reputation of virtue and beauty, as it happened with her numerous predecessors. Landgravine Karoline of Hesse with her four daughters was called "Great" and a beautiful monument sent by King Friedrich the Great was placed in the Darmstadt Herrengarten with the inscription: Femina sexu, ingenio vir ("a woman by sex, a man by spirit").

Princess Alice of Battenberg (Victoria Alice Elizabeth Julia Marie; 1885 – 1969) - Princess of Greece and Denmark
One of her Great-Grandmothers was Queen Victoria; her maternal grandmother was Alice, Grand Duchess of Hesse and by Rhine; her mother was Princess Victoria of Hesse and by Rhine, sister of Empress Alexandra Feodorovna of Russia; her father was Prince Louis of Battenberg. Her son was Prince Phillip, consort of Queen Elizabeth II.
She married Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark
She had five children: Margarita, Princess of Hohenlohe-Langenburg
Theodora, Margravine of Baden
Cecilie, Hereditary Grand Duchess of Hesse
Sophie, Princess George of Hanover
Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh
Alice suffered incredibly through her life, but she did not let that stop her from always thinking of others; she was born with a hearing deficit and her brilliant mother Victoria, taught her to lip read not in one but several languages. She had a husband who preferred to gamble in Montecarlo to being with his wife and children or...anything else. She was diagnosed with squizophrenia (there is no evidence that this was a correct diagnosis even though it was issue by Dr. Freud himself) and her pelvic organs irradiated to produce an early menopause (this was supposed to relieve the symptoms according to the medical thinking of the times). She lost her daughter Cecilie in a plane crash.
Yet, like her grandmother Alice, helping others came to her naturally. Israel gave her the award Righteous Among the Nations, bestowed on people who risked their own lives to help Jewish people survive the Holocaust. She worked for the Swiss Red Cross.
The princess founded a nursing order of Greek Orthodox nuns, the Christian Sisterhood of Martha and Mary, modelled after the convent that her aunt, the martyr Grand Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna, had founded in Russia in 1909. She dedicated herself to helping others but eventually the order failed because of lack of funds.
And besides all of that, she was beautiful.
She died at Buckingham Palace at the age of 84.
(I have to add something here: Alice's smile in the picture is one of the most open, sweetest, tenderest, and most beautiful smiles I have ever seen. It filled me with awe, and thinking about her life brought tears to my eyes)

Do you have any favorite royal quotes?
Yes! Here they are!
“I kiss you, my good, fat Mashka. Your Shvybz.” - Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna
“The little Shvybzik just made a 'governor’ on Mama’s carpet, and Anastasia is now training him.” - Grand Duchess Maria Nikolaevna
“Tomorrow my little sister May would have been 20, think only, quite grown up. Sweet little Child she was.” - Tsarina Alexandra Feodorovna
“Olga is hitting Marie, and Marie is screeching, like a foolish Dragoon, such a big fool.” - Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna
“At 10 o'cl. Ernie arrived with his daughter, who is also staying upstairs. The fuss from the children was terrible!” - Tsar Nicholas II
“Ortipo was sweet. He got on Mama’s sleeping berth and made an amazing green ‘Governor’ on it.” - Grand Duchess Olga Nikolaevna
“Ernie always prays for Frittie, and talks to me of him when we walk together.” - Princess Alice of Hesse
“One day, Petrov asked Olga Nikolaevna to name a white object for him. ‘My blouse,’ replied the Grand Duchess. ‘And a black object?" 'My slate pencil.’ And a green one?' My sister Tatiana.' That really was the tint of her complexion.”
“One month later, on Christmas morning, Olga awoke early and asked whether God had taken Elisabeth's body the previous night. When her nanny, Mrs. Eagar, replied, "Oh no, dear, not yet." She was greatly disappointed, and said, "I thought He would have sent for her to keep Christmas with Him.” - Margaretta Eagar
“Baby, darling, cough on me.” - Maria Nikolaevna
“I was photographed as Princess Charlotte because Grandmother thinks I look like her.” - Princess Victoria of Hesse
"...I am in Tatiana's room. Tatiana and Olga are here... I am sitting and digging in my nose with my left hand. Olga wanted to slap me but I ran away from her swinish hand.” - Anastasia Nikolaevna
Thank you for asking!

So. Long story short: ladies and gentlemen, my OCs (feat. Alice Liddell). You can ask me anything about them. Or you can ask them about anything. Whatever you prefer ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
TW: rape, suicide.
Tumblr media
PYRKA — Persona, Alter Ego, created from the potato I drew when I sent screenshots from bad Wattpad stories. She commented bad writing with glass (or bottle) of wine. Entity, Pyrka means literally Potato in one of Polish vernaculars. Senior specialist in curses and spells. ENFP.
Tumblr media
AMERICAN MCGEE'S ALICE UNIVERSE
ALEXANDRA SEYMOUR — 33 yo, has ADHD, man of many parts — witch, actress, singer, instrumentalist. Former Lizzie Liddell's girlfriend, she took care of Alice in Rutledge. Bumby's worst nightmare. She married her best friend to adopt Alice after Bumby's death. ENFP.
Tumblr media
MODUS OPERANDI SERIES UNIVERSE
OLGA LARYS — 35 yo, barrister, she was supposed to be a graphic designer, but her girlfriend committed sucide after being raped and that's why she's a lawyer. Behaviorist or deduction specialist (if you prefer). ENTP.
BEN DRABNER — 25 yo, Olga's trainee. One of the best students in university. He's kinda like a younger brother for Olga. Literally the least traumatized of all my OCs, fr. ENFP.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
THE CRUEL DUOLOGY UNIVERSE
VICTORIA CRESWELL — 25 yo, Grand Mistress of the Templar Order and of the Priory of Sion. Older Twin. Pain Bender. Wife of Napoléon Bonaparte. Cryptologist and lawyer. Leonardo da Vinci specialist. ESTJ.
VICTOR CRESWELL — 25 yo, Master of the Templar Order and of the Priory of Sion. Younger Twin. Body Bender. Medical examiner. Dante Alighieri specialist. ISTJ.
Teen!ROSELINE DURAND — 17 yo, niece of Creswell Twins. Jesus and Marie Magdalene's descendant. Her mother died when she was 2. The twins took custody of her from her father to protect her from his obsession with the Holy Grail. INFP.

Happy 46th birthday to Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, Duchess of Västergötland!
Her godparents included Crown Prince Harald of Norway (later king of Norway), and Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands (later queen of the Netherlands, 1980–2013).
Victoria was made crown princess on 1 January 1980 by the 1979 amendment to the Act of Succession of 1810 (Successionsordningen). This constitutional amendment introduced absolute primogeniture, meaning that the throne would be inherited by the monarch's eldest child regardless of gender. Prior to this constitutional change, the heir apparent to the throne was her younger brother, Carl Philip. He is now fourth in line to the throne, behind Victoria and her children.
On 24 February 2009, it was confirmed that permission had been granted and that Victoria would marry Daniel Westling in the summer of 2010. The wedding date was set in Stockholm Cathedral for 19 June 2010, the 34th anniversary of her parents' marriage. The couple have two children: Princess Estelle Silvia Ewa Mary, Duchess of Östergötland (11) and Prince Oscar Carl Olof, Duke of Skåne (7)
Often referred to as the "Godmother of Europe", Crown Princess Victoria is the godmother of eighteen children including: Prince Constantine Alexios of Greece and Denmark; Catharina-Amalia, Princess of Orange; Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway; Prince Christian of Denmark; Princess Eléonore of Belgium; Princess Katharina of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha; Princess Leonore, Duchess of Gotland; and Prince Alexander, Duke of Södermanland.
Victoria has dyslexia, as do her father King Carl XVI Gustaf and her brother Prince Carl Philip, and prosopagnosia.

~ "Two sapphire tiaras, both royal, Russian, wedding gifts from the in-laws and both no longer with us today. The Köchli Sapphire Tiara (top) was commissioned by Tsar Alexander III and his wife Marie Feodorovna as part of a massive sapphire parure wedding gift for their daughter-in-law, Princess Alix of Hesse, who was marrying their son, Tsar Nicholas II, in 1894. Alexander III would not live to see the marriage, dying just three weeks before, leaving his son as Tsar at the altar. And so in 1894, Princess Alix, the daughter of Princess Alice of the United Kingdom, and favourite granddaughter of Queen Victoria, became Empress Alexandra Feodorovna, last Empress of Russia. Both she and the Tsar lost their lives in a basement at the hands of the Bolsheviks in 1918. The sapphire tiara by Cartier (Bottom) was also commissioned as a wedding gift to Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna from her father Grand Duke Paul Alexandrovnitch, on the occasion of her marriage to Prince Wilhelm of Sweden, in 1908. Maria Pavlovna escaped Russia for Sweden before the War, only to return after divorce, escaping the cruel result of the Revolution without her jewels." ~
