Past and Present

Finally full bodies for Pearl's hero outfits (both her old and new one) for my VH x TrafficSMP Hero au.

The blue one is her old outfit when she still went under the hero name "Crescent" while the red one is her current hero outfit, with the name "Scarlet"

And surprisingly this is not relevant to the main plot of the story but its a pre-canon thing. Maybe one day I'll do a side story for her regarding what exactly caused her to change her hero name and outfit

Finally making a start on the other heroes for my HcVH x Life Series Hero Au :)

Quite proud of my Grian design, which is predominantly based off of his bad boy design (that just popped in my head and I rolled w/ it).

His powers were also on the easier side to think of since he had a lot of TNT kills in the Life Series, especially in Limited Life.

Also just need to add this is not going to be a twin syms au. Otherwise I'm going to get too carried away with them. But False gets the lil engineering interest here to reference E!False's steampunk theme.

few other things:

Originally Wels' villain name was going to be Arch (reference to Archon, which was a central part of his build) but watching his POV made me want to use a more knight-based name instead and thus Excalibur

Xisuma's helmet went through some massive redesign when compared to the draft design. It was supposed to be a mask but I wanted to add more spikes and bam, helmet.

They are also supposed to have their group's emblem on but I forgot to add it for these three (i swear I will remember for the last trio) but its on Iskall's left gauntlet, Wels' right shoulder and the back of X's chest armour)

Gem Doodle for my HcVH x Life Series hero au :)

I didn't really feel the need to change her outfit, mostly because she does change appearances based on each of her forms (and also to save my sanity when I want to draw her again).

Each of the crystals represents one of the four main forms that she uses (mostly based off of her different SMP seasons) but she'll have one more pretty plot important one later on ;)

Life Series vs Vault Hunters Hero Au: Premise

Life (Life Series) is one of the cities' strongest, if not the strongest hero team currently deployed. They recently just added Gem/Crystal to their roster.

And then comes The Herald, a villain group/trio who they've been trying to catch for the past while, two days later showing off five new members. Great. (Ok but in all fairness, some of these new guys were also some villains on their watch list so maybe that was a good thing).

The Herald was originally a villain duo of Iskall/Architect and Stress/Frostbite, with False/Nightshade joining a bit later. They stayed a trio until about a month or two prior to the start of the story, where they agree that three against 17 (soon to be 18) was as bad as an idea as it could get. So they ask around the villain community to find other duos/solo villains if they want to join them and form a stronger group. To which they accept Xisuma/Abyssal, Wels/Excalibur, xB/Odin, Hypno/Briar , and Joe/Fluctus (which is the members who fought the Herald but minus Etho)

For the villains/HcVH, I did try to stick to their builds for the final Herald fight (sans Iskall) but some creative liberties were taken (*looks at the 4 poison nova users*) while the heroes/LS I mostly took references from the different seasons they were in, excluding a few here and there which take inspiration from their other SMPs

we shall ignore how long this took, I had quite a bit of redesigning for this trio since I didn't like parts of their drafted designs (and to not further send future me insane from redrawing them).

Anyway after this it's the Heroes' turn, and I still have a boat load of powers to work out- so its gonna be a while...

but maybe an animation or two first before that

I also need to add that figuring out Hypno's power was a journey in itself. Because he and False basically used the same kit, but one was for support and the other was for offence. And I was already prepared with False's whole design as the team's poison user so it'd be a big pain to change it so I went with thorns in the end.

I actually changed her name to Medusa when I realised that was clearly the better choice to use, ESPECIALLY given her powers. (I think her original name was more because I settled for her name before her powers)
