Ein Lichtspiel Schwarz Weiss Grau (Light Play Black White Grey) is perhaps Lázló Moholy-Nagy's best-known film work. It features his Light-Space Modulator, also known as a lighting fixture for an electric stage.
Light-Space Modulator is a key work in the history of kinetic art and even new media art, and therefore one of the most important works of art of its time.
Initially conceived by Moholy-Nagy in the early 1920s and built between 1928 and 1930, its completion required the involvement of a number of collaborators.
It was intended to be the centrepiece of the Contemporary Room at the Provinzialmuseum in Hanover, planned (but never realised) by Moholy-Nagy and Alexander Corner, the museum's director.
Light-Space Modulator was exhibited in 1930 at an exhibition in Paris on the work of the German Werkbund. From the point of view of the object, it forms a complex and beautiful set of metal, plastic and glass elements, many of them movable by the action of an electric motor, surrounded by a series of coloured lights.
Moholy-Nagy used it to produce light shows that he then photographed or filmed, as in the case of the film shown here. Although in black and white, the film manages to capture the kinetic glow of the sculpture.

Coinciding with the Bauhaus centenary, Hattula Moholy-Nagy and Daniel Hug, the daughter and grandson of László Moholy-Nagy, consider the lasting impact of the artist’s work today. Hauser & Wirth’s exhibition in London dedicated to Moholy-Nagy examines his influence as a proto-conceptualist, whose work interrogated the role of the art object and the artist in society, anticipating questions posed by subsequent generations of artists.
László Moholy-Nagy is on view at Hauser & Wirth London from 22 May – 7 September 2019.

Indie Games – Top 5 Highest Grossing Games
I talked about AAA games being same in my last blog. One other thing that came up was how successful the indie has become over the past years. I personally enjoy the indie games more than the AAA titles these days like “Hades”, “Hollow Knight” and “Lies of P”. Indie game companies have more sales on steam than these big AAA game companies.
Like, Palworld and Helldivers 2 have more sale this year than Baldur’s Gate 3, which is the game of the year 2023. I think AAA games studios need to step up their game if they want to be in competition because why would I go to a company where I’m just going to follow a formula, do overtime, work myself to death with no creativity? I would prefer to work in an indie company where I can be creative and learn new stuff and try out different types of styles and art with the benefit of working from home or more benefits than big studios.

THE WHO Dance Session. Super Rare 1966 Australian 4-track 7" mono EP, released exclusively on Festival Records in Australia only. The label is black, white & blue & solid centre. The record features four classics from the My Generation album -The Kids Are Alright, It's Not True, A Legal Matter & La-La-La Lies - & comes housed in a unique blue tinted picture sleeve with a fantastic in-action shot of the group from '65. The cover is silk laminated with flipbacks & the design is surely the best sleeve artwork on 45 from down under for The Who of this period, & this is the first time we have being able to track one down. The cover is carefully graded VG+ with secure flipbacks, clean panels & tight laminate. There is a very faint & faded name annotation to a back corner & the artwork remains vivid & sharp. The only other minor blemishes are a small pinched crease mark to the spine & some very mild & natural foxing to the back panel barely noticeable. Both sides of the label have a small name annotation repeated three times, unobtrusive to the print & the vinyl is nice & clean with a deep sheen. The vinyl grades a strong VG+ revealing the lightest couple of paper hairline scuffs not affecting play - wonderful! We consider this to be a serious, bluechip Mod collectable that will hold its value for a lifetime. Bokmål and Nynorsk
Like some other European countries, Norway has an official "advisory board" – Språkrådet (Norwegian Language Council) – that determines, after approval from the Ministry of Culture, official spelling, grammar, and vocabulary for the Norwegian language. The board's work has been subject to considerable controversy through the years, and much work lies ahead.
Both Nynorsk and Bokmål have a great variety of optional forms, particularly Bokmål. The Bokmål that uses the forms that are close to Riksmål is called moderate or conservative, depending on one's viewpoint, while the Bokmål that uses the forms that are close to Nynorsk is called radical. Nynorsk has forms that are close to the original Landsmål and forms that are close to Bokmål.
Riksmål
Opponents of the spelling reforms aimed at bringing Bokmål closer to Nynorsk have retained the name Riksmål and employ spelling and grammar that predate the Samnorsk movement. Riksmål and conservative versions of Bokmål have been the de facto standard written language of Norway for most of the 20th century, being used by large newspapers, encyclopedias, and a significant proportion of the population of the capital Oslo, surrounding areas, and other urban areas, as well as much of the literary tradition. Since the reforms of 1981 and 2003 (effective in 2005), the official Bokmål can be adapted to be almost identical with modern Riksmål. The differences between written Riksmål and Bokmål are today comparable to Commonwealth English vs American English.
Riksmål is regulated by the Norwegian Academy, which determines acceptable spelling, grammar, and vocabulary.
Høgnorsk
There is also an unofficial form of Nynorsk, called Høgnorsk, discarding the post-1917 reforms, and thus close to Ivar Aasen's original Landsmål. It is supported by Ivar Aasen-sambandet, but has found no widespread use.
Current Usage
About 85.3% of the pupils in the primary and lower secondary schools in Norway receive education in Bokmål, while about 14.5% receive education in Nynorsk. From the eighth grade onwards pupils are required to learn both. Out of the 433 municipalities in Norway, 161 have declared that they wish to communicate with the central authorities in Bokmål, 116 (representing 12% of the population) in Nynorsk, while 156 are neutral. Of 4,549 Norwegian publications in 2000 8% were in Nynorsk, and 92% in Bokmål/Riksmål. The large national newspapers (Aftenposten, Dagbladet and VG) are published in Bokmål/Riksmål. Some major regional newspapers (including Bergens Tidende and Stavanger Aftenblad), many political journals, and many local newspapers use both Bokmål and Nynorsk.

There is general agreement that a wide range of differences makes it difficult to estimate the number of different Norwegian dialects. Variations in grammar, syntax, vocabulary, and pronunciation cut across geographical boundaries and can create a distinct dialect at the level of farm clusters. Dialects are in some cases so dissimilar as to be unintelligible to unfamiliar listeners. Many linguists note a trend toward regionalization of dialects that diminishes the differences at such local levels; but there is renewed interest in preserving distinct dialects.
