Jolyon Till was the friend and partner of Uldren Sov, and a current acquaintance of Crow. He is described as tall, with "narrow intelligent eyes" and blue skin, and was perceived as "happy-go-lucky" before Uldren's downfall. He is known for his skills as a Crow (Awoken intelligence) and a sniper, though he also works as a scout.

Note: though the nature of his relationship with Uldren isn't explicitly stated, it is generally interpreted as romantic, the same way Osiris and Saint-14's relationship was interpreted before being officially confirmed.

Jolyon is mostly known for breaching the Black Garden alongside Uldren [The Forsaken Prince], but he also created the Lord of Wolves shotgun. His signature weapon is the Supremacy, a rapid-fire sniper rifle; his secondary weapon, like all other scouts, is a Vestian Dynasty sidearm.

Not much is known about Jolyon's personal life, though Uldren knew "everything about him." He knew someone named Laviska [1] and attended the same combat academy as Uldren [2], and is known to be rational, but it is unknown whether he is a Distributary Awoken or has any family or loved ones besides the Sovs.

Like Petra and the Techeuns, he can travel to / from / around the Dreaming City but is not tied to its curse. Whether this is because he didn't die during the curse's activation (like Amrita did), or simply due to the inconsistencies within the curse lore, is currently unknown.

vestian compared 'theyfab' to 'cracker' and i'm lmfao. who knew us pesky transmascs have been a part of a centuries long campaign of AFAB-supremacy and enslavement of transfems!! you learn something new every day! this and the idea that only trans women can say "tranny" really makes it seem like transradfems are trying to poorly copy analyses of anti-blackness to make their analyses seem more legitimate, but it just doesn't make sense. you don't need special exclusive slurs for your oppression to be real; you don't need to claim to be The Most Oppressed for your oppression to be real. these kinds of things literally led to abuse in separatist feminist communities because it makes people think they can't trust anyone but the in-group, and accusations against people the in-group are treated with suspicion, disbelief, and ostracization from the in-group. it makes me really worried to see this stuff become so widespread.

It's incredibly pathetic and racist. Mind-blowingly repulsive things to think and say, to believe in one's heart of hearts.

With a Warlock's sixth sense, Telem watches Selene watching her. She turns around in time to see the spindly Hunter avert her gaze, spyglass raised aimlessly away. 

Telem isn't sure why Petra Venj insisted on accompaniment. She's fully capable of gathering the samples she needs solo, capable of fending off the hive and scorn too. 'The buddy system' seems like a thin excuse. Was her contempt for the Vestians so obvious that it warrants a minder, someone to ensure she doesn't cause trouble? What trouble could she even cause with the Dreaming City in its current state of disarray?

Like any of Mara's sycophants, Selene is generally irritating, though if they avoid talk of the monarchy Telem can be distracted away from her contempt. Selene is inquisitive enough to discuss any number of scientific matters with, and has enough of an eye for style to notice the details of Telem's outfits. She feels an irrational camaraderie over their shared friendship with Eris, and they trade stories of their adventures with her over the years.

The looking, though. When she catches Selene looking she wants to catch her in her hands like Samite, squeeze her until she stops being a pest. Selene is much larger than her ghost, though, and faster too. The fantasy must remain that.

If she cannot capture her bodily, she can catch her with words. The next time Selene looks, she spins on her heel and remarks loudly: "Is something wrong?"

Selene looks mortified. "I — ah — well, I don't know how to explain it, but you look . . . familiar."

A wave of vexation rolls over Telem. "Where from?" 

"I — I don't know. We haven't met—"

"I would definitely remember if we had," concurs Telem —

" — it sounds mad but I feel like I've seen you in . . . in a painting, or something." Selene's face is flush with purple, like she realizes how silly this sounds out loud. "I keep trying to place you, but I can't."

"Maybe I was a model in my last life," Telem jokes in flat affect. "If that's all, I'm going back to work."

Selene nods, and wanders up the path to keep watch for taken. 

Telem tries to go back to what she was doing, but finds herself distracted. Why does it feel like Selene voiced something that Petra, Shuro, Sedia and Kalli all thought? 

Why does she feel watched, even with no one in sight?
