Something real icky feeling about the "healing" community.

Y'all know healing isn't linear right? It's always gonna be a journey.... Right?

The way some of y'all talk to black women in "safe" circles seems to really only allow grace to a select few.

As a fat black woman, I notice it quick but also being neurodivergent I notice instantly even though I'll get a little paranoid? Then the receipts will add up.

The masculization y'all willfully do to fat black women in those spaces is so violent in treatment.

Don't be Fat + have the "yucky" mental illnesses. You're Schizophrenic, Bipolar, Autistic, have Executive Dysfunction? Psychotic?

The blinders will suddenly be on and somehow your trauma won't make sense.

A very strange feeling that comes from being a trans man is like. I am fundamentally the same person after coming out that I was before coming out. There are some differences (I'm happier and more comfortable in my own skin, for instance, and everyone changes a little bit over time) but overall I still have the same personality traits, same values and morals, etc etc. But after I came out, people who thought I was a perfectly okay and decent person switched to thinking I'm dangerous and untrustworthy, even when nothing about me had changed except the gender label they know me as.

Final Bug Fact:

The world NEEDS bugs. They keep the soil healthy, pollinate, control pests, and contribute to the worlds' ecosystem. By the end of the century, it is estimated 40% of insect species may go extinct due to habitat loss. Yes, that is very scary. But with even one beetle spared, one caterpillar rescued, and one Hollow Knight comic of all things, things will change. Because I know there's a lot more Dewi's out there than most people realize. Stay curious.

Comic Thoughts and Pictures Below!

I wanted to put here how amazing and sweet everyone has been with this comic. I finished a 75 page comic in 3 MONTHS. I am at a loss for words. That sounds crazy and it IS crazy. But man was it fun. Even on days were I wasn't able to draw due to fatigue or business, I loved working on it from start to finish. And guess what!? This is my first ever FINISHED comic :D I'm so proud of myself. I know there's some things I want to change and the art is wonky in most places...... but I'm content to let it be. What an amazing summer adventure!

I'm hoping to post the full comic on another Comic website. I may or may not edit some of the art ^w^ So I'll let y'all know when I release it.

Interested in learning what you could do to help your local insects? This is the basic stuff. Maybe make some Insect Hotels if you have the time!!! And never forget to spread the word about bugs. They need our help just as any animal on earth.

Lois Lane has been reporting for many many years and has seen things both in her career and in her daily life that most folks could never imagine.

For instance, right now she's being held captive by Parasite AGAIN and is waiting for Superman to help her out of this. It's the same old rhythm that it's always been. Be captured, get tied up, wait, Superman rushes in, fights the bad guy of the day, incapacitates the bad guy, and frees her.

So far she's gotten to step two of the rhythm. Now she just needs to wait for-

Lois startles as the ropes binding her glow a faint green and fall to the floor. She turns to find whoever freed her...

That's no Superman.

Standing behind Lois, a semi transparent young girl with bright green eyes and glowing white hair silently holds her finger to her lips and holds out her hand for Lois to take.

Lois has had wilder rescues. She accepts the little girl's outstretched hand. She's ready to get out of here.
