Idk what the actual term is but “idiot plot”? Where the plot keeps being driven forward mostly by characters making objectively dumb fucking decisions? “Let’s leave our two deaf (friend)s all alone and vulnerable in the dark woods where we know our other friend was kidnapped”. Maybe I could grant that it was a trap to lure out the abductees but if it was, they went absolutely nowhere with it, and also never mentioned it at all, and still somehow didn’t anticipate the abductees arrival.
They had such a good concept with the skin people (again wtf ever they’re called) and yeah they’re utilizing it but like It feels like the kind of writing I would do myself (a non professional, barely amateur hobbyist writer) where you take several really cool concepts and specific scenes and dramatic reveals or what have you, and halfass the connective tissue out of a lack of patience.
Idk man. E5 felt like a good place to end the show. I know it’s based on a comic series but this is feeling like an “ASOIAF to GoT” adaptation all over again.
