HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
The Mystery Trio aren't having a very good time, unfortunately. I'm sure it will all come out all right.
This is a sequel to a piece I did way back in 2017, an Over The Garden Wall crossover called "Wandered into the Wrong Woods". When I reblogged it earlier in the month I thought about returning to the idea, and this is what came to me; seemed sufficiently spooky. (I think I should have done a more vertical layout so that the Beast could have loomed a bit more.)
What's the story here? Heck if I know! I've seen crossovers in the past that put Ford in the role of nearly becoming an edelwood tree (for obvious reasons), but the more I thought about it, the more it seemed fitting for Stan to take that role, and for Ford to have to step up and save him (well, with Fiddleford's help, of course).

Meanwhile Yuu who was kidnapped at RSA
ROUND TWO!
Round one
Daydreamers
Tumblr media
Everyone's dressed in RSA outfits and the more noticeable members are disguised. They managed to sneak past the gate and make their way to the RSA dorm mirrors. The school's hall of mirrors was stunning, it was styled like an indoor garden with arched doorways leaning to the respective dorms.
"Oh, where we do even start?" Trey asks as he looks at the flower decorated archways.
"Flamme, who did you hear on the phone other than Child of Man?"
"Someone named Phara and Neige." Rollo answered. "And the name Chen'ya was mentioned."
Vil and Malleus' faces changed at the mention of Phara and Neige, meanwhile Riddle and Trey sighed as Chen'ya's name was mentioned.
"So... that narrows it down to 3 dorms-"
"Ah, wait." He interrupted. "I heard a voice with a thick accent as well."
"..." A shadow appeared over Trey's face. "Hatley."
"Oh my!" Rook exclaimed. "That's a face I haven't seen in a while!"
"I forgot that Trey-kun and Hatley don't see eye to eye..." Cater muttered as the Heartslabyul vice headed towards the doorway with a a 1/2 tag sticking out of a teacup was etched on it.
"Wait, Trey!" Riddle followed after him as well as the others. "Heartslabyul with me, you as well Rollo. Everyone else should stay here. We shouldn't make this obvious."
The doors opened automatically, transporting them into a wooded area with hedges that stretched high above into the treeline. Paper Lanterns were wrapped around the trees, illuminating the area and leading a path towards the door. Trey didn't hesitate in following the path, nearly leaving the others to quickly follow after him before they were left behind. Eventually, the woods slip apart and sunlight came through as the courtyard came into view along with a very vertical and massive building in the shape of a top hat
"Everyone," Riddle gained their attention. "This is Daydreamers."
Their dorm building sat on the edge of a cliff as it was sounded by hills and hedges. Trees of multiple shapes and sizes were twisted around one another and thrown about the courtyard and in the center of it was a massive set of tables. There were chairs: large, small, and misshapen. A massive lake sat behind the building as well, with ponds connecting to it.
Students were lazily taking naps nearby, some in hammocks attacked to the trees or on top of the balcony's on the building.
"Holy shit." Ace said in awe as he looked around.
"Ace." Riddle said as he looked at him. "Language."
"Sorry, sorry."
Rollo's eyes moved around the dorm to the various students napping, but he couldn't spot Yuu anywhere.
"I don't see her, perhaps she's inside?"
"I wouldn't just walk in there." Cater spoke. "You got Hatley roaming around and I have no idea where Andy is."
"Then what do you-"
"Oh, oh!" The sound of a voice coming towards them had everyone freezing as they turned their attention to see a fair skinned blond haired boy.
"I'm sorry!" He panted and placed his hands on his knees. "We got caught up and I didn't even welcome our guests!" He raised his head. "I'm Andrew Lovington, but you can call me Andy! I'm the dorm leader of Daydreamers!"
Now it was Riddle's turn to make a face as everyone looked at Andy.
"H-hello." Deuce timidly said.
"I haven't seen you guys around before!" Andy bounced between the NRC students. "Are you guys new-"
"Andy." A new voice, with a think accent, interrupted him. "I got this."
"But, Hatley!" Andy turned to pout as the approaching student. "I should be the one greeting guests!"
"Shoot, and I came all this way to tell ya Rod made brownies-" Hatley brought down his top hat as Andy took off without a second thought. "NRC students? Ya come looking for ya princess?"
Hatley was tall with caramel skin and mysterious gray eyes, he wore a green top hat and had long light brown hair. Trey immediately tensed up and glared at the boy.
"Bigsy."
"That ya Clover?" A smirk finds its way to Hatley's face. "Almost didn't recognize ya without that clover trademark." He poked Trey's marking. "Ya a couple of lost lambs, wandering too far from the flock."
"Where is she?" Deuce squared up, only to be pulled back by Ace.
"Yuu? Ah, Love is around here somewhere." Hatley straightens up and looks over his shoulder. "Chen'ya probably ran off with her."
Rollo tensed up at what he had called Yuu. "What did you say?"
A gray eye moved to stare Rollo down. "Hmm?"
"What did you call her?"
"Love? Whut? Is that a sore spot or sumethin'?" Hatley raised an eyebrow before it dawned on him. "Oh! Ya must be Rolls, huh?"
Cater quickly grabbed Rollo before he could attack a laughing Hatley.
"Calm yaself! Can't take a wee tease, can ya?"
"Hatley, we won't ask again. Where is Yuu?" Riddle gained the vice leader's attention. "We're taking her back home."
Hatley shrugged. "Dunno, Sissel probably took off with her." He rolled his eyes. "But, I'll be nice and throw ya a bone. She might be in Junglehearts." He turned on his heel. "Now off with ya, before ya alert the hoard."

Thanks to j15n for sending this unusual 1969 mid-century modern home in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. It has 3bds, 2ba, and is a reasonable $499,900. I like the awning outside.
Tumblr media
The frosted window next to the door is a nice idea, unless I don't want to answer the door. I do like the 2 stone planters and stairs up to the living room
Tumblr media
This house is pristine. Look at the dramatic stone wall with niches and a fireplace. Love the hearth. The far wall is wood clad and there're beams going across the ceiling and vertically up to ceiling.
Tumblr media
The architecture is so unique and It's wonderful that it's been completely preserved. I would decorate this place like crazy.
Tumblr media
The dining area is right next to the kitchen. Look at the legs on the cabinets.
Tumblr media
The fireplace soars above the kitchen wall. In the kitchen, you see the stone of the fireplace wall, but the walls in here are brick.
Tumblr media
The cabinets are so cool and the stove is original.
Tumblr media
Look at these architectural features. It's like a stage. This place is screaming for decor. This would be such a cool area for seating, a little office area. Look at the window ahead and all the 3/4 walls.
Tumblr media
Could be some kind of fun display up here, too.
Tumblr media
What a great space for entertaining. It has a beautiful terrazzo floor and a corner bar but it's just a sink- You can't go behind it, unless there's a hidden door somewhere.
Tumblr media
This home is so interesting.
Tumblr media
What a cool shower room. That sink! Unfortunately, the toilet was replaced. Too bad they picked one with an elongated seat.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The primary bedroom is quite large and has a big closet.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The other 2 bedrooms are surprisingly large.
Tumblr media
The 2nd bath has a big sink cabinet with a vanity. Original beige sinks and tub.
Tumblr media
Oh, the rec room in the basement is beautiful. Love the white brick fireplace. This space could look so cool with a retro theme. That plant box needs climbing ivy.
Tumblr media
Very nice built-in wall unit and shelving.
Tumblr media
Attractive room and the striped ceiling is very cool.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nice patio and yard with a cute garden and shed.

we all build worlds with joined up scars <<prev ll next>>
The persistent heat which clouds Savanaclaw always calls for you to ditch your comfy blazer and pants. You bring a pair of shorts with you in your bag, because you don’t feel comfortable walking through a dorm full of hormonal young men with thighs half bare. Leona never minds. He shoves his face into his pillow while you shimmy into your athleisure cutoffs.
Your knee dips onto the edge of his mattress. A month ago, you would have balked at the very idea of laying next to him. But in the wake of the Spelldrive Tournament, your relationship rapidly changed. You earned some amount of respect from him, you think (you hope), but it doesn’t explain the casual intimacy he treats you with. It’s rare, now, to get a day where he isn’t lounging all over you or dragging you down for a nap in the gardens. He treats himself to your time and attention so boldly that even the underclassmen have taken note.
What is he thinking? What does he want with you? One of his eyes slowly opens, the vivid green taking you in languidly. You ignore the shameless once-over he gives you (too slow to be anything but deliberate) flopping onto the unoccupied side of the bed. His eye has closed by the time you’ve settled in. A sigh leaves him, then, so deep that his body flattens with it.
You’re so close that you can almost feel the heat of him. It’s no wonder that he takes his daytime naps shirtless. The encroaching nighttime is a completely different story, but you have a few hours until the sun completely sets. The ensuing chill will doubtlessly force him to shove on a shirt, reluctant and grumling.
Right now, though,  it’s beyond difficult to not ogle his fat pecs. Or his tight abs. Or his deep v-lines. You distract yourself by looking at his hair, glorious main tousled from doubtlessly tossing and turning in his sleep. His braid is perilously close to coming loose.
You don’t think much of it when he shifts closer, until his eyes are open and his hand is heavy on your cheek. The suddenness of it steals the breath from you. You’re sure your sudden intake of breath is audible, but he mercifully refrains from his typical teasing.
“You still have that scar,” he muses, voice deep and sleep-softened. His thumb rubs over the diagonal—and well-healed gash that spans vertically across your left eye. It’s a wound you don’t think much about, these days. It’s much easier to banish it to the far corners of your mind, to focus on the fact that you survived. You had survived, and you should be grateful for that alone.
But it’s still a wound he gave you. Whilst in the throes of his overblot, when the sands whipped razor sharp across the spelldrive arena. In the process of subduing him, he had whalloped you good. Bright crimson splattered onto the sands, much to the panic of your Heartsabyul friends. You had been rushed to the nurses office, surrounded by a veritable swarm of pecking mother hens. Itt had taken less than an hour to treat the wound with the aid of magical healing, a wonder you wish you could bottle and take back to your home world with you.
Leona’s thumb brushes over the ragged sliver of skin. His expression is only readable by the jut of his lip and the slight tensing of his jaw.
There’s no use in assuring him that he wasn’t responsible, that it was the blot that forced his hand. But those words would fall upon deaf ears. He still, you think, believes himself at fault, believes that he had been too weak to resist the siren song of that wretched phantom.
“Well. At least we match now,” you murmur instead. It’s the wrong thing to say, because his eyebrows furrow deeper and his frown dips to officially grumpy for real levels.
“...Don’t be stupid,” he grumbles. “That shouldn’t be something you want.” And there’s real ardor behind those words. For a flash, you see past his veneer of bravado, sink your gaze into the self-consciousness which still has its claws lodged in his hide. It’s jarring. It feels wrong, coming from someone so confident, so languid.
“I’m not stupid. I’ve just… moved on. What’s done is done,” you argue, but softly. You comb delicate fingers through his thick waves of hair. Despite his pouting, he falls into the touch. His face burrows into the crook of your neck, nosing aside the collar of your shirt to brush his lips against your skin. “And I feel like you’ve already learned from what happened.”
He sighs, forlorn, and presses closer. “That soft-hearted kind of thinking will get you torn to pieces in a place like this,” He says, soft yet exasperated. He wedges his thigh in between your legs, bullying your thighs apart. “Honestly. I’ve never met someone with a worse sense of self-preservation. You’re lucky I’m here.”
“And you’re gonna keep me safe?” you hum, not a sliver of doubt in your voice. You look at him with lowered eyelids. The rich, slow sound of his voice is lulling. He burrows deeper yet still, presses up against you with the full weight of his body.
You almost feel his ensuing hum more than you hear it. It rumbles from deep within his chest, vibrating against your skin through the thin fabric of your t-shirt.
“Since you can’t seem to do it yourself.”
“Oh, wow.” You gently dig your fingers into the backs of his shoulders, palms pressed against the broad meat of them. If you weren’t so mind-meltingly close, so discombobulated, you’re sure you would have a much more eloquent retort.  “Aren’t I lucky.”
He opens a single eye and considers you. “You are. Now go to sleep.”
