How  strange  it  was,  that  the  night  that  once  brought  him  fear  and  discomfort  had  now  become  his  kingdom.  He  had  been  its  master  for  centuries,  and  yet  cold  moonless  nights  still  left  him  ill  at  ease.  Or,  perhaps  it  had  been  his  choice  of  company,  Muzan  was  still  unsure.

  But,  in  that  moment,  the  fear  of  death  had  been  the  furthest  thing  from  his  mind.  Not  while  his  attention  fell  entirely  upon  the  bouquet  of  flowers  in  Yoriichi's  grasp.�� They  were  beyond  beautiful  as  they  rest  in  Yoriichi's  arms,  with  petals  practically  glimmering  a  thousand  different  colors.  Muzan  couldn't  help  but  admire  them  with  a  bit  of  envy.

  He  knew  even  without  asking,  those  were  for  Uta.  He  remembered  that  much.  As  night  had  freshly  fallen,  the  demon  caught  a  glimpse  of  Yoriichi  picking  them  himself.  At  times,  Muzan  couldn't  comprehend  it.  No  matter  how  he  tried,  he  could  not  understand  how  both  immense  power  and  gentleness  could  coexist  in  a  single  body,  in  a  single  man.

  Yoriichi  silences  his  thoughts  with  a  single  gesture,  when  he  plucks  one  of  the  flowers  and  offers  it  to  him.  An  act  of  mercy  and  infinite  patience,  genuine  kindness.  One  that  Muzan  accepts,  gently  taking  the  flower  from  Yoriichi's  grasp.

  "  I  could  have  picked  one  myself,  if  I  had  wanted  to.  "

  An  empty  bluff,  obvious  to  all  who  saw  how  close  to  his  heart  he  held  the  flower.

  "...  But  you  saved  me  the  trouble.  So..  Thank  you."

the people of oz like to pretend they know elphaban and his story, and while there are a select few that might know more, nobody truly knows it. as the first son of the eminent thropp, he was expected to be celebrated, praised, exalted as the heir to his father's legacy. unfortunately for him, he came out as an unfortunate shade of green. it was said his teeth were as sharp as knives, his eyes were blood read, there were even accounts that he had a literal tail. while munchkinlanders did love their tall tails, nobody could deny that he was... different. from the moment he was born, he was treated like a mistake, an abomination. he might as well have been a bastard as far as his father was concerned. it was only by the grace of god that his mother managed to have another... normal looking child.   truth be told, elphaban's childhood was less than great. his mother died giving birth to his little sister, his father treated him like some demonic plague set on his house. all his life he was seen as not only a mistake, but a monster, a blemish on his family's reputation. needless to say, getting out was his number one priority. once he was able to leave home and go to university at a remarkably young age, he hoped he'd be able thrive, which he was. while his... quirks definitely made his social life damn near nonexistent, his intelligence, namely his skill with sorcery got him a sort of attention he wasn't used to. he was only at school for a few years before he was sent to the wonderful wizard of oz to study under him. it was then that he learned the truth of the beloved monarch of oz, that hew as nothing more than a fraud. the man who struck fear and wonder in the hearts of everyone was nothing but a con man.    elphaban was infuriated, he felt lied to and tricked. he felt as if he was sent to the wizard to teach him, and not to contribute to the growth of oz. when he refused, he threatened to tell everyone what he found out, that their great and powerful monarch was nothing but a weak, conniving peddler. shortly after, of course, everything went to shit. news went around that elphaban was some kind of terrorist hell bent on destroying the wizard and everything he'd built. his reputation at university, his childhood, only seemed to make the lies spread about him even more believable. there was nothing he could do but flee to the mountains in the west. his disdain for the wizard, who he blamed for the public's hate for him, only seemed to grow, and elphaban did whatever he could to discredit the wizard. he took refuge with the animals of the forests, who seemed to side with him and his distrust for the wizard. he plotted to rip his empire apart , but was interrupted when tragedy struck. a full on actual house was thrown at his little sister, killing her instantly. the inhabitant of that house, an apparent witch hunter, stole his sister's magical slippers, and went off about his business with the applause of the very community his sister presided over.  when that same boy was instructed by the wizard to kill elphaban as well, he grew even more enraged. his anger toward the people of oz who he'd once worked so hard to fight for, all saw him as a monster, he eventually stopped caring. if they wanted him to be their monster, he'd be their monster. he just refused to let them beat him down. they could take his reputation, that was never important to him, but they would not take his power, his agency, his ability to make the changes he thought oz needed.

ewan had to put down a friend that the wolf had turned previously and lost control. resented the wolf since.

red riding hood's grandfather got eaten by the wolf and woodsman saved him by using his axe to cut the wolf open and pull the old man out.

he doesn’t see himself as a killer so there was no reason to confirm the kill once he got grandfather out. the deed was done, the grandfather rescued and the wolf assumed dead. woodsman needed to tend to his wounds and the old man so the woodsman left the cabin and carried the grandfather out.

when he eventually finds out the wolf is still alive, woodsman is confronted w the fact and dilemma of whether he’d actually hunt and try to kill wolf if there’s no one to actively save. basically asking himself if it’s for vengeance or preventing more tragedy.

first fell into wonderland when he was much younger. exploring it in youth and innocence. eventually returned as an young adult (and other times in the future) to a land with witches and ruled by the red king. the tyrant ruled over wonderland with terror and the threat of the jabberwocky, prompting the white king to crown stannis as his champion to liberate the kingdom.

unwillingly, stannis returned to england during one of his adventures and got checked into a mental asylum for his hysterical ramblings. discovered his ability for teleportation and escaped. returned to wonderland. trained physically and in combat in order to hunt witches and defeat the jabberwocky.

over the years, spends his time exploring wonderland and other realms. hunt witches. eventually, slayed jabberwocky but lost his hand to the monster. throughout his adventures, he's always crossed paths with the knave, and actually saved the red king's right hand and been saved by him multiple times.

Inspired by The Batman (2022), Joker (2019), & specifically the creative works and lores of both Jessie (@jokethur) & Abigail (@banschivs). Based largely on personal interpretation as well as original headcanons. Following a post-flood timeline. Assume divergency & artistic liberties. This interpretation operates under the combined universes of Reeves' and Phillips' films, which is to say that every interaction is explored with the assumption that it's based in the real world. Furthermore, this Bruce's world lacks powers and abilities the way that most Batman iterations and DC worlds revolve around. IMPORTANT:

i recognize arthur fleck as bruce's canon older brother and true heir to the wayne fortune. joker and the batman are intrinsically connected; one often cannot be found without the other far behind. both are unhealthily obsessive and possessive over each other and any threats to joker OR arthur are subject to the batman AND bruce's ire. do not make the mistake of using joker against the batman; or, if you do, be prepared for the consequences. i'm very attached to abigail and jessie's portrayals and when arthur or his wife nix are referenced in threads or headcanon posts, theirs are the ones i'm talking about.

my bruce is very mentally ill. in the aftermath of the floods and bruce's revelation regarding the very deep well of criminal connections and corruption in relation to the wayne family, he's going through a very huge identity crisis. who is bruce wayne? how does he fit into gotham? can he and the batman fit together? what does this mean for wayne enterprises? these are ongoing struggles for bruce right now.

this interpretation is a younger bruce wayne, a still relatively new batman and detective, and as such the wayne estate is in a sort of limbo right now. this bruce is not the playboy billionaire businessman that most are familiar with. right now he wants nothing to do with his family name and is very much rejecting the idea that he can do much as bruce; he is far more attached to the batman and what that can do for gotham (and himself).

Do you think that there is a possibility of Hypergryph splitting from Yostar for global publishing of Arknights and moving it to Gryphline instead? The traditional Chinese server got moved from Long Chen to Gryphline recently, and the new ambience synesthesia concert merch is on the Gryphline store rather than yostar’s. It may just be wishful thinking as yostar and hypergryph both own large shares of each other, but if there is a planned split from yostar would it potentially be a reason why Hypergryph hasn’t made a statement condemning Yostar Korea’s actions? Is there any precedent for publisher changes for a sort of legal clause preventing them from hurting each others’ image prior to the split being announced?

Gryphline is situated in Singapore, having what I guess you could call a “proxy” company for global business in Singapore is something a lot of companies in China have done for a while, increasingly within the past couple of years, for a multitude of reasons. Last time I checked Mihoyo had “Cognosphere” in Singapore, and when you buy gachabux in that game on servers outside China I believe your bill is from Cognosphere. The slave labor fast fashion site Shein has been operating under the Singapore-registered “Roadget Business” which some have speculated makes it easier to list in the USA. Yostar has HQ in Hong Kong which used to be the proxy location but according to this FT article-“Traditionally, Hong Kong was the choice for many such companies, said Kia Meng Loh, a senior partner at Dentons Rodyk. But with Beijing “flexing its muscles” in the semi-autonomous rival finance hub, Singapore is the obvious next choice, he said.” Hypergryph has multiple games coming out in the near future, I believe a regular (non-gacha) 3D anime mobile game and a 3D Arknights spinoff that will have a weapon gacha, and I think another game that’s TBD? They could be rearranging their internal structure due to this expansion if they’ve switched around their Chinese server already, but I’m unsure if this means they will completely split with Yostar who I believe publishes the US, Japanese and Korean servers.

Admittedly I can’t say I’m super well versed with this type of business and therefore it’s harder to really predict what they will do in the future, but I’ve been watching the situation since AK KR posted that notice to see what happens. I don’t have anything against the game itself, if it comes out that somehow their hands are completely tied in the situation or something I’ll post about that as well but I’m not holding my breath. In terms of my read on the situation, I think a huge message has ready been sent to the fans as to whom the company deems most profitable to listen to, regardless of any future handwringing over the situation. I would think between a woman posting extremely basic feminist thoughts on her personal twitter (equal pay etc) and enjoying the woman’s day google doodle years ago, and the Arknights KR/Yostar employee liking extremely violent fanart on the official twitter account and hanging out on extremist, misogynistic chat boards, that the employee would be seen as more of a problem and should have been the one disciplined. In reality, not only was the woman punished by having her work deleted but the official KR account posted that diatribe calling basic feminism a “dividing force” or whatever. This action and the following statement are absolutely not neutral, especially during a time a which violent misogyny has been increasingly ripping through South Korea as a whole but also gacha games specifically. In terms of PR I do think this is something Hypergryph could address, if HG doesn’t want to rock the boat with Yostar so to speak because of some upcoming split, it seems Yostar has already rocked the boat quite a bit with this action to begin with…

in terms of a main developer punishing the publisher, one example I can think of is Fate/Grand Order’s DelightWorks (after the sakura wars fuckup FGO is developed by “Lasengle” now, but when this happened it was DW) changing an in-game reward that FGO’s Korean publisher Netmarble gave out. I respect that everyone has their own opinions and desires from media, but I disagree with that other anon. Every part of the show is important for the overall story being told. A lot of it doesn’t come together until the end, but it’s all necessary. Also (and I say this as a shipper) just because an episode isn’t about the ship doesn’t make it bad. I hope you, as a person who is well versed in media analysis, are able to appreciate the story for what it is once you have the full context

And, it’s of course important for me to be neutral here between two differing Anons and acknowledge that not everything is for everybody’s tastes and that’s ok. And it’s just as valid if the only reason somebody watches a TV show is for a ship or a single character or a certain theme as well as those watching for an overall message or story.

So far, I’m personally the most invested in Agatha herself and them peeling back the layers on her as a character possessing a lot more depth than one might think. And I can’t wait for more of her history. For now, I credit a lot of that to Kathryn Hahn’s nuanced performance.

Definitely interested to see it all come together by the end, either way. And I will be curious to know how I feel overall about the story and the show as a whole by the end. For that matter, while the ship has me intrigued — I’m interested in seeing if it will even deliver in a major way (and I don’t just mean a kiss, I’m talking about overall development of a relationship and pay off for each character, Agatha especially) for my taste because if it’s just a few seconds of ✨vibes✨ between them every ep like it has been so far… well, TBD how I feel about it all by the end.

Born to two of Dragon's Freedom Fighters on the island of Ohara, Sabina lived the first few years of her life amongst the division there until her parents decided a revolution, though necessary, was no place to raise a child. They left their ranks and the island to become merchants, and until the age of ten, she knew a happy childhood.

Until Marines came looking for them.

They told her to run, and run she did, raising herself for a few years and hardening herself in the process. She named herself Drucilla, afraid to be taken in, and ate a Devi Fruit, knowing it would grant her protection.

A fortune teller by the name of Iona Pritchard took her in, feeling sorry for the child. No one else cared to put up with the girl's petulant behavior, because, angry and lost and at the mercy of her devil-granted powers, Drucilla was adamant in keeping the spirit of her parents (and former life) alive and ready to fight anyone who seemed to get in the way.

What only further cemented her belief of not belonging was the day she mauled a boy in the village who’d enjoyed ridiculing her, turning into her lion form and sinking her fangs into his legs.

Drucilla left the village shortly after that night, with no word to Iona, content to be on her own rather than be judged. She was found by a woman named Isabela, a pirate captain who offered her a position on her crew, giving Drucilla purpose and a place for her grief (finding some months later before setting out to sea, that Iona had died, Drucilla took her last name in an act of honor.) This sparked a loyalty to her new captain and crew, unlike any other.

Drucilla took to the life of a pirate like she'd been born for it, sailing the seas as the Siren Pirates' first mate for ten plus years, until one night, on a mission to steal a log on the history of the world's Poneglyphs in order to appease a deal her captain had struck to get a crimelord off their backs, their ship was chased down by Marines, near rocky cliffs mid-thunderstorm and it went under. Only Drucilla and her captain survived, and in the midst of panic, remembering her parents all those years ago, and near-death, she ran while Isabela was taken into custody.

Now, using her merchant's talent for spinning lies and her years of experience in piracy, Drucilla plans to sneak her way into the Marines long enough to be able to break her captain out of Impel Down.
