Celebrating 6 years on Tumblr and a number of followers I thought I would never reach, I would like to repay you for your love and support in the form of a request event. Writing is a hobby of mine that allows me to escape, to push my boundaries, and to leave an impact on readers. Even if you crack a smile, laugh at the words or feel understood by them, I'm truly honoured that you've joined me on this journey. 💞

Now, onto the good stuff.

As voted by you, readers, in a previous poll of mine, you can request stories based on genres, settings, but you can also throw a prompt into the mix.

HOW DOES THAT WORK?

You send me an ask with a genre and/or setting and a certain idol in mind, but you can add a prompt from these lists as well (they might help with certain settings):

It gives me summertime vibes when it's just a few more weeks until school starts up again, and all you want to do is spend time with your friends while the weather is still warm and while everyone is still nearby and free. Now that I'm an adult (even though university and onward, majority of my good friends are long distance), I cherish those memories and moments where I can spend time with my friends in person!

In the Blur of the Rain - Jiwoo

I actually could not tell you when I first found out about Jiwoo, but it might have been just from listening to Spotify's curated playlists. Unless it was from a kpop idol's recommendation. The origin story is fuzzy but otherwise, his music is so calm and melancholic, especially if you're someone that enjoys listening to music for the feels.

Who Do You Love - The Black Skirts

I adore this song because Yongseung from VERIVERY recommended one of their songs, which is how EVERYTHING also landed on my playlist. Their music is very nostalgic and reminds me of slice of life drama OST. This is the kind of music you'd hear when the male main character is realizing he's falling in love with the female main character, so any time he sees her, his life is just sweeter.

Poetic Vulgarity - d4vd

I don't know what it is but a lot of the music I tend to listen to is reminiscent of "heartbroken bachelor who's gone through ten different divorces so he needs to use that pain and transform it into art" and low and behold: Poetic Vulgarity is born. I love how artists use that pain and experience into creating such raw and candid musical experiences, especially for someone like me who doesn't consider themselves musically gifted or inclined to create music as an art form, but it helps me with my visual art and writing!

SZA - Blind

I absolutely love this song, but I love this album in general. I have a very interesting experience with SZA because she is actually one of my ex's favorite artists. But listening to her music after being broken up with, you can't help but find traces of yourself, that person, and both of you in these lyrics. I love Blind off of this album because I was able to hear this song when I was still making therapy become a part of my life routine, and now still being able to listen to the lyrics and story but as a different and more healed person. But of course, my own curiosity always wonders if that person who was once so important to me (and in some cases, undeserving) understands the lyrics in the ways I do now.

Hi, I go by LULU, and I am currently in High School. I write imagines for the groups I like, by taking inspiration from my own experiences and ideas.

This blog is SFW, so I will not post anything other than that.

ok so i have ocd and i love lists and data and what better way to combine my love of those things with my love of kpop, than to create and analyze playlists ??? this is a long-winded introduction to a list i want to share !

i mentioned in another post that i made a playlist of songs that either a) are songs i think previous (pre-kpop) iterations of myself would still have liked (aka songs that fit with my non-kpop music taste), and/or b) just have Good Sounds in them that give my brain the serotonin.

the artists that appear the most frequently in the playlist (by number of songs) are as follows:

NCT (all units): 27 (nct 127: 12, nct dream: 6, nct U: 5, wayv: 4)

monsta x: 22

woodz: 20

seventeen: 19

stray kids: 16

twice: 12

woo!ah!: 11

ikon: 9

the boyz: 8

weeekly/p1harmony: 7

(cravity had 6, verivery had 5, and a bunch of artists had 4: ateez, bibi, itzy, nine.i, purple kiss, tripleS, xg. didn't keep track of artists that had 3 or less)

anyways there's some useless data for you, mainly for my own future reference. but now i can definitively say these are the kpop artists that feel the most ME and THAT'S pretty cool !

i saw ador's new open auditions for the real hype boys and the one thing that caught my attention is that auditions are also open in new zealand

like omg??? potential future kiwi kpop artists? i know a few already exist eg bp's jennie and rose and verivery hoyoung but i guess its just the kiwi in me wishing there was more rep, esp w the rise of aussie artists ahaha XD no one even comes here to perform :(

as nice as it is to live in nz we tend to be behind on a lot of stuff and that includes music. i mean, sure we get the more mainstream english pop artists, (ed sheeran and harry styles i THINK idk) but its very limited to the world-known artists really, it was amazing enough that KESHI came to nz! so imagine even getting kpop groups let alone JPOP artists here TwT

but then again, i only got into the whole kpop scene like a yr ago? and ive just been listening to ig the pretty mainstream/big company groups here and there so there's still a lot im yet to know, maybe groups did come to nz before covid?

i'm sure its much better than you think sprout :( and believe it or not, everyone starts out writing like a first grader, but the more you practice the better you become!!! and you can also put in effort to try to learn techniques and stuff but i'm too lazy for that tho i do def want to improve my writing style so we'll see :D

okay how many groups do i like?

okay so txt, verivery, onf, victon, seventeen, astro, skz, the rose, enhypen, mcnd, newjeans, lucy, billlie, sf9, &team, red velvet, ive, bts, the boyz, viviz, n.flying, xdinary heroes, xg, boynextdoor, le sserafim, mamamoo, p1harmony, riize, wei are kinda the groups i can say i stan

got7, ateez, shinee, pentagon, nct (all units), are groups i casually enjoy and know the first 3 esp pretty well for members as well!!

im enjoy a lot of soloists and i would love to get into some other groups that i listen to occasionally as well (cix, oneus, cravity, ace, e'last etc)

i'm also familiar w gidle, itzy, twice, oh my girl, akmu, blackpink, monsta x, aespa, nmixx, exo, zerobaseone, and some more but don't consider them to be on my stanlist yet

so i think i stan 29 groups, 15(ish) soloists, and know 16ish other groups rly well !!
