Runaway Wind Chapter Twenty Four
<- Previous Chapter | Current Chapter | Next Chapter ->
Cid let out a sigh as he saw his ship touch down outside and began to put away his tools. Knowing how fast Yuffie could run, he didnât want to be holding anything sharp when she came barging in. Still, this was mostly touch up work for the main castle hall, turning it from evil lair to semi-respectable base and disabling some of Maleficentâs locks. Sure enough, a few seconds later a loud bang was heard as the front doors were kicked open. âSo my ship is still in one piece.â
Yuffie gave a thumbs up. âYep. And we did good. Mirrorâs in pieces and Maleficentâs on the run!â Her cheer faltered slightly as she looked back to the entrance. âThoughâŠâ
âNaminĂ©âs been having some trouble lately,â Ventus answered with NaminĂ© leaning against him as they walked in. He looked over to her as she winced. âHer headâs been hurting, bad.â
âI...I donât know...Iâm seeing things I donât knowâŠâ Slowly, NaminĂ© sat down in one of the rebuilt benches, eyes screwed shut.
Cid paused. Seeing things. If her story was right, there was something else NaminĂ© could seeâŠ
And change.
He asked tersely, âIs it like seeing Soraâs memories?â
Because despite the girl being as kind as she was, that power scared him more than anything.
Slowly, NaminĂ© nodded. âItâs...the closest thing I can think of. But itâs all a jumble.â
Cid crossed his arms. âMaybe part of you is playing catchup with what Soraâs been doing recently?â If that was all it was, then there wasnât much to worry about. But if it was something else?
She sighed and shook her head. âNothing Iâm seeing leads to him. Itâs so hard to put it together even though it seems familiar.â
Yuffie scratched the back of her head in puzzlement. âDidnât you have this problem before? After we finished in the Enchanted Dominion?â NaminĂ© gave her a nod and at that Yuffie relaxed. âThen itâs probably just him and you just needed time to sort it out.â
NaminĂ© seemed unconsoled by the advice. âBut I can hardly recognize anyone there.â
Ventus sat next to her on the bench and looked to her in concern. âCould you draw them?â
NaminĂ© considered for a moment, but then sighed. âIf my head wasnât hurting.â
âEarly rest after dinner then. That way youâll be ready in the morning.â Cid put the lock on his tools and led the trio down the hall. Fixing the castle was a big concern alright. But the kidâs memory powers going haywire would be a whole lot worse. Might be worth talking to Merlin about it so the old windbag could have something to do.
But for now, he was in the mood for food.Â
Erxart couldnât quite shake the unease that had come over him after meeting with Xemnas. Granted, only Larxene had to stay and explain why she ran off with NaminĂ© and ignored Xemnasâ orders. But ever since then, Roxas had become quiet. Still, as they arrived in Twilight Town for some downtime, Axel attempted to lift his spirits with a smile. âSo, ice cream?â The man rubbed his hands together in anticipation, though some part of it seemed strained.
âNo.â And at Roxasâ refusal, Axel deflated with a sigh.
Erxart looked to him and Roxas with concern. âWhat happened?â
Axel floundered hands fidgeting as he tried to find the right words, âItâsâŠWell...â
âVentus, NaminĂ©, and Yuffie told me things about what the organization did,â Roxas snapped, his hands balled into fists at his side as he continued, âNaminĂ© was tortured. And they were going to try and brainwash someone.â
Erxartâs eyes narrowed. Larxene didnât deny the accusations of torture during the mission, in fact she almost seemed to take pride in her work. But brainwashing? âWhat purpose would brainwashing someone serve?â
âWellâŠI...â Axel stammered for a moment, before he went silent and turned away.
Roxas stepped forward, pleading, âAxel, please, I just want to know the truth.â
Axel turned back, his brow furrowed. âItâs a bit hard for me to talk since I was just assigned to guard detail while Larxene and Marluxia were the brains behind it.â Roxas tersely nodded as he continued, âBasically, after finding NaminĂ© and learning about her powers, they wanted to have them change a particular someoneâs memories so that theyâd work for us a bit more easily.â
âAnd Xemnas signed off on this plan?â Erxart asked tensely. He already had his suspicions, but if the superior was willing to let this plan continue? That would give grounding to his fears. âWho would they want so badly?â
Axel looked around for a moment before answering, âA kid with a keyblade. As far as we knew back then, the only one out there. But hereâs the thing.â He held up a finger as he explained, âAll they told Xemnas is that theyâd convince him to join us. They didnât mention a thing about changing his memories, or what they would do to NaminĂ© to make her co-operate.â
Roxas was incredulous. âAnd they werenât suspicious of them? At all?â
âOf course they were, which is why they sent me.â Axel flashed a grin as he explained, âI was going to keep an eye on them and make sure they werenât doing anything to compromise the Organization.â
Erxart raised an eyebrow and crossed his arms. âWhy didnât you say anything? Why not tell us?â
âYouâve got to be careful with this sort of espionage. Give away too much, and theyâd do something drastic.â Axel walked forward and put a hand on both of their shoulders. âI couldnât say much to you guys cause I wasnât sure where you both stand. But seeing as you both understand how badly this goes against the Organization, I think itâs time I start filling you in.â
Roxas relaxed. âThatâs why you couldnât say anything. You werenât sure if Larxene was watching.â
âSo what do you need us to do?â Erxart asked, âDid you want us to watch her, or do recon at Castle Oblivion?â
Axel let them go and stepped back. âRight now, just pretend like everything is normal. We donât want her or Marluxia to realize weâre onto them. Iâll let you know when I need your help.âÂ
âAnd weâll bring her to justice.â Erxart gave a nod. After Larxeneâs words on NaminĂ©âs treatment, he had some misgivings. Fortunately, it seemed there were enough good people in the Organization looking to do the right thing.
In time he might be able to talk about what Ventus had brought up. How he had called him a name Erxart only heard in his dreams.
But for now...
âSo? In a better mood for ice cream?â
Roxas gave a small smile. âYeah. I think so.â
For now the boy needed a bit of time to rest.
Yuffie leaned on Leonâs shoulder, munching away at her dinner. âAny luck finding what might have gone on with Ansem?â
He shook his head. âNothing. Absolutely nothing.â
She rolled her eyes and groaned. âOh come on! Thereâs gotta be something! Even just a team photo!"
Aerith shook her head and looked at the charred remnants of old books they had in a pile. âThatâs just it. The entire lower archive was burned. Even the researcher rosters were destroyed.â She stirred her food with a sigh and looked to Merlin, âAny luck finding what might have happened to Xehanort?â
He shut the tome in his hand and set it to his side as he took another sip of tea. âJust myths and legends. The most I could find is that he once fought alongside an Eraqus.â
Leon scoffed, âAnd from Venâs story, we all know how that ended.â
Cid turned to Merlin, âWell, while weâre on the topic of history, about NaminĂ©âŠâ
Yuffie had a good idea of what was next. A whole lot of magical theory that she didnât care too much about. She was a bit more interested in how NaminĂ© herself was doing. Yuffie got up and moved over to where Ven sat with her. But even though he still looked at NaminĂ©âs condition with concern, there was something else. Yuffie could see it in how he sometimes stared into the distance.
âYouâre worried about them.â He looked up at Yuffieâs statement, confusion still clear on his face. âErxart and Roxas?â
He looked beside him sadly. âAnd NaminĂ©.â At her name, the girl gave a small smile before trying to resume slowly eating her food.
âDid you want to talk about it?â Yuffie sat beside the two. âFrom what I could tell, you seemed pretty convinced he was your friend.â
âThey practically look the same except the cloak.â Ven sighed and set down his fork. âI...I promised Iâd save him. That if Terra fell to darkness that Iâd bring him back.â He shook his head slowly. âNow Iâm not sure thereâs anything left. Itâs like heâs completely gone.â
NaminĂ© looked up from her food. âMaybe his mind has forgotten, but the heart never forgets.â She placed a hand on his own. âI know youâll find a way to bring him back.â
At NaminĂ©âs words, Ven was able to perk up a bit. Honestly, Yuffie just wanted to leave the conversation with that and him happy. Unfortunately, there was the other member of the Organization they had met and made an impression on. âAnd then thereâs Roxas.âÂ
And of course, Ven deflated at having his doppleganger brought up. âHe seems like a nice enough guy, just mixed up in something bad.â And after a moment, he scrunched his eyes closed. âI really don't want him to end up like Vanitas.â
The dark keyblade wielder Xehanort had molded into a weapon was definitely something Yuffie hoped she would never have to see. That kind of power in the wrong hands, as well as the Unversed Ven talked about just sounded like a recipe for disaster.Â
Though it seemed like there was one advantage Roxas had that Vanitas didnât. As NaminĂ© pointed out, âHe has friends he wants to help. I donât think theyâll turn out quite the same.â
Though there was a bit of a fly in that ointment. âShame he wants to stick with the shady Organization to be with them though,â Yuffie grumbled.
Ventus held his head in his hands. âI just..I donât know what I have to do.â
Yuffie couldnât tell if NaminĂ© was frowning from pain, or from seeing her friend so lost. But even so, she managed to talk, âYou wonât be doing it alone. Weâre here for youâ
âAt the very least you probably shouldnât be doing it after what we went through today. And while NaminĂ© needs to recover.â Yuffie clapped him on the back gently. âTake it one day at a time, okay?â
Ventus took a breath to steady himself before letting go of his head. âYeah, youâre right. I think we need some rest. Just some time to straighten things out before we go and take care of that Heartless in the Castle of Dreams. And after that...â
âWhat happens happens.â NaminĂ© finished. And Yuffie could get behind the sentiment.
In any case, she was sure theyâd all sleep soundly tonight.
There it was again.Â
A chilling cold that smothered him.
Darkness all around. A mangled landscape.
Ventus had hoped after a week free from those nightmares that it was just a dream. But this was too familiar. Too real.Â
âWhere...?â He looked around, hoping that somewhere in this dark world he could find Aqua. It might be the only way he could find her. Yet he couldnât find anyone or anything.Â
âVen?â
He looked up to the voice. It was the light. That same light which had been with him since that first nightmare. Which guided and protected him. As it reached the ground, he stepped forward with a raised hand and a simple question.Â
âWho are you?â
âWell, well well.âÂ
At Vanitasâ voice, Ventus summoned his keyblade and looked around frantically. Desperate to find the source. âI was wondering if your heart might become darkened enough to bring you back here again.â
Ventus tried to hold onto the light next to him, and sure enough he felt a hand in his own. But even though it glowed a little bit brighter, it did little to stop a mass of Unversed from appearing from the shadows around him. Bruisers began to advance on him and the light, and Ventus held up his key to protect himself. âThis...this is a nightmare! YouâreâŠ!âÂ
âDead? Ventus, Ventus, Ventus. You already know the truth.â Ventus looked up to where he could finally see the masked boy perched on a twisted crag of rock. âI was always there with you in Sora. Not as well off as you, but enough to survive.â As he scowled the last word, the bruisers swung their fists. Ventus pinned down as he tried to hold off their barrage. âAnd when your heart left that prison, the keyblade caused some of your will to be scraped off. A husk that could move with a will of its own.â
And Ventus knew exactly what he was talking about. âA Nobody.â
Vanitas chuckled, âWhatever you want to call it, an empty body was right there, so why let it go to waste?â He snapped his fingers, and the bruisers raised their arms. Ventus just had enough time to roll away with the light. He raised his keyblade in an attempt to fire a spell.Â
âVen!â
He looked up at the voice. A familiar voice. And thatâs when he saw the unversed knocked back.Â
By a figment.
And as he realized who his light was, her image snapped into focus.
âNaminĂ©!?â
Looking down on them, Vanitas began to laugh. âIs this weak little girl your new light, Ventus? How long till I crush her too!?â He leapt forward towards the two of them, keyblade ready to strike them down.

Runaway Wind Chapter Twenty Five
<- Previous Chapter | Current Chapter | Next Chapter ->
Nobodies had no dreams.
Oh they certainly could have aspirations and desires. Things that they wished to possess. But to touch the world of slumber? For the heart to wander and dwell on what mattered to it while asleep? Naminé knew that was impossible. And yet on so many nights, she found herself trying to run from the dark with Ventus. Seeking shelter when they could from the shadows.
Maybe it was due to NaminĂ©âs existence. An impossibility in itself. With a heart of pure light, a heartless could never be created from Kairi. Yet when Sora released the hearts within him with that keyblade, somehow she was created from some splintered will from the princess of heart. And if Kairiâs heart being released from Sora could create herself, then it only made sense that Venâs released heart could create something like a nobody too. Even if his body was far away in Castle Oblivion.
Was the same true for Sora? Did he create a Nobody, or something close?
Well right now, none of that mattered. What mattered was that hidden from everyone was a sliver of existence that used that new body to live again. A dark keyblade wielder that made Rikuâs fall look tame in comparison. The one that menaced Ven and his friends so long ago...
âVanitas!?â She cried out as she used another figment to block his keyblade wreathed in shadow. The blow shattered the construct and knocked her back.
âWell, well.â Vanitas raised a hand and gathered a ball of flame. âLooks like Ventus got enough of a backbone to spill his guts.â He shot the projectile and vanished, reappearing a moment later to shoot another as Ventus blocked it. âNot that it matters.â This time, NaminĂ© was the one who had to defend, she reached for her weapon.
He conspicuously absent weapon. âMy sword?!â In her shock she fumbled for a card, but the fireball was faster, and soon she was knocked back.
Vanitas chuckled as Ven moved to block the rest of the barrage. âFunny thing about dreams. You only take what you fall asleep with.â In a blink, Vanitas appeared right next to her, snarling, âSo all youâve got now are cheap card tricks!âÂ
This time she was ready with a card to block the attack. In a flash, her figment was ready to parry Vanitasâ magic. And in that opening, Ven rolled over to deliver a kick into his side. Seeing Vanitas stumble back, Ven began to slash away at him again and again. Blow after blow hit him until he finally lost his balance.
But then Vanitasâ body froze mid fall. And Ventus stopped his attack in wide eyed recognition.
âToo slow!â
That was Venâs only warning before Vanitas appeared behind him, the dark decoy fading. Their keyblades clashed for an instant, before Vanitas used the impact to flip back and send out an arc of lightning. Rolling back, Ventus called out. âVanitas, listen! You donât need to do this!â
âYou really think you can stop me with words?â Though NaminĂ© tried to approach from the side, Vanitas simply sent out a pool of shadow to become a larger Unversed to block her way. âYouâre forgetting I want this!â With that, he dived towards the ground, into a pool of shadow.Â
Ventus backed away, and turned to attack the bruiser swinging at NaminĂ©. âYou donât need to live your life in darkness!â As the unversed turned to face itâs new attacker Ven and NaminĂ© both moved to strike. With figment and keyblade, the dark monster fell.
âWhat I am is darkness!â But with his proclamation Vanitas erupted from the ground fire cascading all around him. NaminĂ© frantically tried to evade the barrage along with Ventus. Though as Vanitas reached the peak of his jump he vanished, only to reappear to bring his blade down on Ventus.
Ventus jumped back, and as Vanitas landed and lunged forward he blocked with his keyblade. âHow can you be sure of that if all you do is stay here?â Ventus cried out in the clash, âYouâll never know the truth unless you look for it yourself!â
Vanitasâ eyes narrowed as he stepped forward, steel screeching as they stared each other down. âYou...â
âYOU!â
Ventusâ and Vanitasâ eyes both widened at the voice, and NaminĂ© looked up towards where the shout came from. A blue haired woman leaping down from one of the cliffs towards the duo. But her eyes were trained on only one person. âVANITAS!!!â At hearing his name, the helmeted boy leapt away from Ventus. Just in time to avoid the combatantâs barrage of ice from her weapon.
No...her keyblade. As different as it was from Venâs or Soraâs NaminĂ© knew what the woman held was another of those legendary weapons.
âVen! Stay close to me!â With a wave of her keyblade, the woman began to conjure a sphere of water. With a thrust, she cast the torrent forward.
Vanitas backed away frantically waving his hand to create unversed to block the barrage of magic. âYeah. Not sticking around for this!â Using the opening his creations had given him, Vanitas dove into a dark portal.
The woman scowled at the escape. But as she began to take a step forward, she stumbled down to her knee. Ven rushed to her side to catch her as she used her keyblade to steady herself.âAqua, are you alright?â
âAqua?â Was this one of Venâs friends that he talked about? Either way, it was clear she wasnât in the best shape. âLet me help you up.â NaminĂ© ran up to Aquaâs side, and though she was smaller she was able to use Aquaâs keyblade to help prop her up.
âYes.â Aqua answered with a nod as she slowly rose to her feet.âJust tired. I donât know how long I can keep doing this.â She shook her head as she tried to walk towards the cliff for support. âFor all I know, I could be asleep already if Iâm imagining all of you.â
Ven gave a small smile, âDream or not, itâs nice to see you again Aqua.â But as he said it, he began to flicker just a bit. And NaminĂ©âs view of the dark world began to dim as well.
Seeing them caused Aquaâs expression to become more weary. She looked over to her and asked. âYouâre helping Ven. Who are you?â
Ven had already begun to fade from view, and as the dark world around her faded away she answered, âMy name is NaminĂ©.â
Aqua gave a weary smile as she vanished from sight.
âNaminĂ©. Please take care of him.â
Aquaâs request lingered as NaminĂ© awoke in her room in Hollow Bastion.
Once again, Aqua was alone in the dark. Ventus and his friend had vanished into the void. But even so, the connection hadnât quite faded. As her fingers entwined with her wayfinder, she could tell the link she once held with Ventus had been reforged, ever so slightly. And there was a new one. One forged with the girl accompanying Ven, NaminĂ©.
The one who held her keyblade, if only for a moment.
"In your hand, take this key. So long as you have the makings, then through this simple act of takingâŠâÂ
She had not passed on her keyblade formally, and part of Aqua wondered if she ever would. Even so, stories and tales of keyblade wielders passing on their weapon from a simple touch were in the back of her mind.Â
â...so long as you champion the ones you love."
Maybe NaminĂ© would have better luck than Aqua did in keeping her friends safe.Â
Vanitas sat far from where Aqua had interrupted him, legs dangling off the edge of a gnarled cliff. He ran a hand over the smooth surface of his helmet. Ventusâ words running through his mind. âThe truth, huh?â He really had some nerve to throw that back at him. That was always little Ventusâ problem. Never knew when to stand and fight, and when to sit down and shut up.
But there was one thing Vanitas was willing to concede. âMaybe I have been here too long.â Standing up, he conjured a portal of darkness and began to trek outside of the realm he called home these last few weeks.Â
âAt the very least. Iâm going to make sure he knows Iâm real.â
Not to mention he wouldnât have to listen to the old man anymore.
For Larxene, the one major upside of the Castle Oblivion assignment was the relative peace and quiet. Especially from the Organizationâs command. While yes, it made organizing a coup much easier, it was mostly because she couldnât stand having to answer to anyone but herself.
But if she wanted to have any chance of walking away tonight, she needed to set that aside. Because Xemnas, Xigbar, and SaĂŻx wanted her to talk. The superior of the organization looked down on her from his throne. âExplain your actions today. Because of you, Maleficent slipped through our fingers.â
How fortunate then, that she did have an explanation. âI kept NaminĂ© in check so she didnât get too dangerous.â
Xigbar rolled his eye, unimpressed. âAs if! So what if she gets more cards for her deck? Thatâs why we train and have an army of Nobodies.â
Larxene crossed her arms. âIâm not talking about combat or magic. The moment she realizes what kind of power she can tap into, the more problems weâll have.â It was one of the main reasons she made sure NaminĂ© learned respect, after all. The other of course being entertainment.
Xemnasâ eyes narrowed at her. âElaborate.â
âShe has power over Soraâs memories, and the people that met him.â That was the gist of the report she and Marluxia sent when they first found NaminĂ©. But there was always one possibility that they wondered about. One that was a threat that they could not ignore. âHow long before she figures out how to control the memories of people who have heard of him?âÂ
Because if she could begin to manipulate such a power, and decided to turn it against the organization? Everything they had worked for would be nearly worthless. They could barely trust their own notes, even if they realized something was wrong. Far better then, that the witch be kept in line.
Xemnas nodded at her answer with closed eyes. âYou are shrewd in your judgement Larxene.â Though any sense of calm was erased by the pointed glare he gave her. âBut if you cause problems for the organization again, you will cease to be a part of it.â
She paused before answering. âPoint taken.â But she wasnât a fool. Right now, she was on probation. And whatâs more, she was positive that Xemnas was onto her.
Though if anyone else in the council chamber cared, they didnât show it. Xigbar went on to ask, âYou think the C.O. team is having a better time?â
Well, if they were just going to go on, might as well listen in. SaĂŻx answered calmly, âAssuming Zexion has control of the situation, there should beâŠâ
Zexion? The kid? Sure he was one of the Organizationâs founders. But what was he doingâŠ?
And at that moment, she realized everyone else had stopped the conversation to glare at her. âOh. Iâm sorry. Am I dismissed?â Larxene said in her practiced tone that held no sorrow whatsoeâ
âDismissed, Larxene.â
Oh right. That was the other reason she didnât want to be around the Organizationâs leader. Xemnas had the nasty habit of instilling something close to fear in her. At his command, she teleported away in a dark portal.
Honestly, Marluxia owed her for this. He was relaxing in charge of Castle Oblivion while she was out running field duty and playing nice with the top brass. No doubt his plans were running as smooth as clockwork.
âWHY ISNâT THIS WORKING!?!â
Marluxia winced at Vexenâs shout as he slammed a fist into the control panel besides the tube. âI thought you had perfected this technique with the other replica. What did Zexion call them?â
âExon,â Vexen answered tersely before returning to recalibrating the machine for the new Replica. Number i. Marluxia had no idea why Vexen wished to use such a paradoxical nomenclature of numbers. His only answer long ago was a dismissal and a comment about Marluxia not having an appreciation of algebra.
Whatever the name, Vexen still had to properly process the data for the princess of heart. One that would create a new being in her likeness that they could control to manipulate Sora. The replica they had made of Riku was useful enough in starting to unbalance the boy, but they could not delay any longer. The princess was closing in on Soraâs position, and if she made contact this scheme and their plan could be in jeopardy. And Vexenâs patience was wearing as thin as Marluxiaâs as he began to ramble, âI had thought with the notes I had gathered from the Superiorâs work on my project I could account for the fluctuations brought about by replicating a princess of heart! But it just wonâtâ!â
âCan you make them stable enough to live?â Zexionâs voice cut through the chatter, and Marluxiaâs hand tensed. He was loath to have his command subverted after having worked so hard to establish himself as the lord of the castle. But Zexion had insisted on more and more control as his plan to dominate Sora had progressed.
Vexen turned and looked at Zexion. âI could introduce a smidge of darkness to stabilize it, but the resulting replica would be different enough that Sora would not accept it!â
Zexion simply smiled as a green eye met Vexenâs frantic gaze. âDo not fear, for I will make up those differences.â
âAh! Of course!âVexen was mollified as he relaxed and turned to his device with a smile. âYouâve become quite resourceful with your illusions Zexion. It seems that number I shall see usage after all.â
Zexion simply stepped forward and placed a hand on the glass. âYes, Xion shall be instrumental in breaking the keybearer.âÂ
Vexen simply gave a distracted affirmation of the replicaâs new moniker. But Marluxia had enough of enduring this farce. âYour command of the situation is concerning.â
Zexion calmly turned to face him, hands behind his back. âBut necessary. Given my power is pivotal to controlling Sora.â
Again his plan was the crux of Zexionâs justification. But there were always other factors as Marluxia knew. âWhat of the others? Riku and Kairi are not to be taken lightly.â
Zexion simply shook his head. âOnce Sora is ours, the others will fall.âÂ
Marluxia raised his voice. âYour authority hereââ
âIs absolute,â Zexion reached into his cloak to produce a paper as he answered more sharply, âAs given by Xemnasâ orders.â Marluxia snatched the document to read it, and to his aggravation, the superior had indeed signed off on this change in command. Zexion simply plucked the sheet out of Marluxiaâs hands and returned it to his person. âDo not fear. Your assistance is still necessary. But for now, you are dismissedâ
This had gone on long enough. Slicing rose petals began to swirl around Marluxia as he began to call upon his scythe. âYouâ!â
âDismissed.â
And at Zexionâs command the wind died. Marluxia knew what it was like when Xemnas issued a command. By the sheer force of his will it left no question that was to be obeyed. And such power was enjoyed by those whom Xemnas had chosen.Â
And Xemnas always chose such people to wield that power for a reason.
So Marluxia stood down, and simply turned to leave. As he passed the door, Lexaeus was in front of him walking by. The giant of a man almost bowled over him, but just in time, a hand caught Marluxia before he fell. âApologies.â Lexaeus answered as he helped Marluxa steady himself.
And Marluxia felt something pressed into his hand as Lexaeus held it.
A note. A primitive form of subterfuge. But right now, Marluxia wasnât too picky about the method. Quietly excusing himself, he made his way down the hall towards his room. Clutching the message that was given to him. Whatever it was, he wasnât going to waste it as he quickly sealed the door shut to his chamber. In the safety of his quarters, Marluxia unfurled the paper.
Your concern is not unnoticed or unfounded. Meet tonight.
