It’s been a year since the release of the Venture Bros movie “Radiant is the blood of the baboon heart” , so what better way to celebrate than draw none other than Mantilla herself. For those unfamiliar , mantilla is a character introduced in that movie, serving as the main antagonist and also something that ties the answer to the 7 season long question about the titular venture brothers : who is their biological mom?

Feeling proud of this one because I managed to shoehorn Thai (and buddhist) mythology into it, the pose she’s making is based off the earth deity , พระ���ม่ธรณี / Dharani’s. The figures to the top left is the release da the of the movie in Thai numerals.

Okay so Hank has DID right? First image is of him talking to his "imaginary friends" who in the show were characters he would act as sometimes.

Second image is him blacking out after learning about his mother, I started doing this after I got a bad concussion and switching was hard after that.

Third image is literally his coma headspace that Dean falls into and his alters literally kick the shit out of Dean even though IRL Dean already forgave him.

Finally we have Dr. Orpheus explaining that they were created from a bad childhood but that doesn't mean that he doesn't carry them with him.

This part made me tear up when I watched it, when I was able to talk to my headmates for the first time a few years ago, I remember talking between each other and we wondered if we should start fusing because we were in a better place in life and having alters didn't serve us anymore. I was wrong but I think Dr. Orpheus is right in the sense that you don't need to abandon them but you have to live in the real world as well.

I loved this movie so much and Im glad I finally bit the bullet and watched it!

Something about the vbros movie that annoys me is the lack of Sirena. When she was literally involved in the boys' problems?? And you're telling me they didn't even show her worrying about the search for Hank. I know they butchered her character randomly for no reason but it's still so surprising to me
