i’m actually so serious about ewan mcgregor’s filmography. no one else is serious enough abt it. there’s so many incredible movies and about 90 of them are underrated or cult classics. star wars is great but it’s almost one of the least interesting things he’s done. there’s trainspotting! there’s moulin rouge! shallow grave! down with love! i love you phillip morris! big fish! perfect sense (devastating movie)! birds of prey!!! not to mention his season of fargo!!! where he plays not one but TWO characters and blows it so far out of the water i was genuinely sobbing by the end of it. like on my knees. good stuff

yknow something that's kinda interesting to me
Trolls band together gave us villains that perfectly hit on a few different trendy topics of conversation completely by accident.
first of all they have such appealing designs, super cunty and classically evil in the way everyone has been saying they miss in animated villains. They also have an INCREDIBLE villain song. Perfect contrast to people's disappointment with the villain in Disney's Wish.
But on top of that.
THEIR WHOLE THING IS THAT THEY'RE PLAGIARISTS who literally steal other people's talent to get famous and claim that they're working hard for it. This came out a little less than 3 weeks before hbomberguy posted his plagiarism video and turned the current topic of conversation to calling out plagiarism.
IT'S JUST LIKE COMPLETELY ACCIDENTALLY PERFECT TIMING but no one even realizes it bc ppl assume the trolls movies are bad without ever actually having seen them (they're not they're really good give them a chance)

do you ever think about how, for only a second, this these are two of the sole moments we see of “thomas” brian slade in which he is entirely audienceless and - by extension - identity-less. but here, he is the observer. in both frames, he is watching vulnerability, something like a secret unfold before him, yet entirely unreachable and not replicable for him
for someone who loves to be watched, brian slade starts and ends his journey in this film just . watching .

One of my favorite things about watching the Trolls 3 behind the scenes stuff is that Amy Schumer isn’t seen ANYWHERE
Like they fr got all the main voice actors talking about their characters and how much fun they’ve been having except her and that’s funny as hell

I made a corset to go underneath some of my upcoming cosplays and really what they don't tell u is that u can just do things poorly. "making a corset is hard" "sewing is hard" "cooking is hard" NO!! doing those things *well* is hard. u can just do it poorly and it'll probably turn out mostly fine. like this corset

Sometimes I wonder if in hindsight I made a mistake by reading Mexican Gothic first because so far Silvia Moreno-Garcia's other books have yet to compare to the pure fascination, revulsion, anxiety, excitement, and absolute love that book inspired in me. Like, did I just start with the absolute peak of this author's talents and spoil the rest of her body of work for myself? The other stuff I've read from her isn't even close to bad, more like above average to good...it's just not been the lightning in a bottle that was Mexican Gothic for me thus far.

Mei Mei accepting a job to escort you across the country. The precious heir to some clan or other, she wasn’t really listening past the various zeros your family scribbled on a napkin and pushed across a table at her. For that amount of money, she’d do just about anything… She didn’t even have to inflate her asking price.
It’s a job. Something easy. Getting paid to babysit she’d told Shoko.
So someone tell her why she finds herself staring. Pre-occupied staring out of the cars window, she finds herself watching the soft curve of your throat or the delicate fluttering of your eyelashes, the swell of your breast as you sigh.
It’s all for money… She tells herself as she presses a palm to the small of your back to guide you through a hotel doorway.
It’s a job… She insists, even when she laces her pinky with yours to pull you through a crowded street as she takes you out to eat.
It’s… Its…
She doesn’t know what it is.
Not when she’s sharing your bed, legs tangled with the taste of your cunt on her tongue. You’re lying beside her, face turns towards the sun as it creeps over the windowsill. If she flexes her thighs, she can still feel where she’d ground on your hip, clit throbbing with your panted breathes fanning her neck.
Fuck. She thinks…
She needs to call Shoko.
Because this… This definitely isn’t just a job anymore.
