I’d like to think that crewmembers with paramecia types in warlord crew were also required to have some dna handed over as it would’ve been good use for vegapunks to choose and give to the seraphims

Heya! Do you think Vegapunk's satellites would bully or respect the other MADS members if they ever had the chance to meet? I personally think especially Lilith would bully Caesar just for the memory of that horrible haircut.

Oh my god they would absolutely bully them / not get along with them. They know they are the Replacements who are here to be better than them.

Lilith is a straight up canon bully who loves conflict and fights etc, she would intentionally rile them up in order to compete with them in various ways. Also, how dare they be more Evil than her, that's her job! (She's not very evil.)

Shaka would do the goody-two-shoes bit of just giving them lectures on morality. Their ass is not listening, but he's doing the stern father thing. He's SO dissaponted.

York is the closest to considering joining them on their evil schemes, but depending on whether she feels they can fund her or not she'll just decide to make fun of them instead and smugly mock them for their lack of resources.

Atlas wants to punch the shit out of them. Pythagoras and Edison are scared of them.

EGGHEAD KUJI PRIZES REVEALED

It's scheduled to be released on 2 August! Cheers! Review below! A pretty good kuji, they went all out on the prizes.

Starting with the last prize (why?), we have Luffy and Vegapunk as a figurine duo!

Prizes [A] to [D] are Luffy (by himself), Zoro, Bonney and Lucci respectively! Lots of [approx 17cm] figurines this round!

Prize [E] is a super cute Chopper plushie! The visor changes his expression when viewed from a different angle!

[F] prize is a multi-layered acrylic stand off the 🥚 Straw Hats!

[G] prize are choosable mini Seraphim figurines. I'm a little annoyed at how S-Snake turned out; why does her skin color have to be different from the boys?

[H] prize are acrylic standees of our six Vegapunks!

Egghead themed towels for our [I] prize~ From Vegapunk(s) to Zoro & Luffy's "You don't seem to like that!" scene!

[J] prize are rubber coasters of the Strawhats + Vegapunk & Bonney!

And lastly, our [K] prizes are the file & sticker combo!

Rating... I'll give it a 8/10 because of how fun and good all the prizes are, but docking points because Toei's a whitewashing bitch. Seriously, S-Snake did not need a design change like that. It's not in the manga, and it doesn't need to be in the anime. I hope it'll get reverted to normal eventually...

The robot vegapunks are cute

I can’t put my finger on why I like Lilith’s design but it’s probably my second favorite Vegapunk design(behind Shaka)

York and Atlas have a similar situation to Lilith but for a completely different reason

The only design I don’t really like from this arc is Robin and somewhat Nami because of the egregious fan service which is my least favorite part of One Piece

Also, Vegapunk having all the bad parts of him be women seems kinda strange

I had completely forgotten about that theory of Kidd being a Punk satellite until I was rewatching some egghead episodes *for reasons* and thought "man... that sea beast weapon sure looks like kidd- wait."

ya know, after learning more about vegapunk, it really makes what franky did even more impressive, cuz, like.

there are only a handful of people in this world that have even made cyborgs.

which are a genius prodigy with a devil fruit that makes him physically smarter than other people and and (some of) the people that worked/researched with him - all of whom are experts in biology, weaponry, machinery, etc, AND had the resources of entire countries and/or the government.

and then also some guy who knew carpentry.

and he did it first.

It's official, everybody, we have a name for this world of stretchy pirates, perverted cooks, failing-upward clowns, giant elephants, ancient weapons, and a princess-obsessed silhouette ruling over it all

Now we know what's going to be printed on the One Piece encyclopedia that will inevitably be released bc I need it like I need air!

OH ABSOLUTELY!

It rolls off the tongue *and* it makes sense canonically with all the references to calling stretches of oceans the (blank) Blue! Plus it’s got that hilarious vagueness that perfectly captures One Piece humour!

(I do wonder though if it became the blue planet after the flooding…did it have a different name all those years ago that was hidden by the World Government?)

i really do appreciate vegapunk's character writing and i genuinely think he's one of the better examples of morally grey characters who do good things but are ultimately awful people.

like, i said this on my main but it makes So much sense that york ends up turning on the other vegapunks and sells them out to be a celestial dragon, because that's exactly what vegapunk did when ultimately chose to support a genocidal empire that serves to only oppress the people they supposedly serve for the flimsy reason of "they have more resources".

because like his conversation with dragon shows, in spite of his moral compass (supposedly) not aligning with the world government's, he easily chooses to be their benefactor rather than the freedom fighters, all because they can actually support him so he can "do more good."

and while we're told by other characters of the good he's done (publishing numerous medical journals, inventing things that supposedly enhance the quality of life, and other things of that nature on egghead in particular) we are shown time and time again in the story the sheer amount of violence and oppression vegapunk's work has allowed the marines to inflict upon the general populace. the biggest one being the navy warships that can cross the calm belt.

at least in the past the calm belt has kept the world government at bay for the smaller islands within (like, let's say, lulusia) but with the warships their reach has expanded to the point where they can harass small islands who have little resources to scrounge up to pay the celestial dragon's tributes. you can argue that the navy warships allow for the "good" marines to help more people, but as we can see from the countless number of cops who are useless at best and corrupt at worst, the cons heavily outweigh the benefits.

that's just talking about the warships alone, not even mentioning the entire novel i could write about the pacifistas, how regardless of vegapunk's intentions and clear grief over the matter he still did it anyway and placed a huge and painful burden on bonney due to her ultimate control over them, also placing a massive fuck off target on her back while she's still only twelve.

he's a man who is kneecapped by his ambitions, and someone who ultimately falls because he made a deal with the devil and the devil finally collected.
