8. the best protagonist u have ever seen in a book and why?

once again mentioning MEXICAN GOTHIC but noemi is the protagonist of all time to meeeeee. the way she starts out very self-centered and fickle, but grows more grounded with her shifting worldview and sense of purpose, while maintaining her own agency and strength throughout the book is everything.

THE THURSDAY MURDER CLUB by richard osman!! it’s the first in a series of elderly investigators who try to solve crimes in their weekly meetings at their retirement home, and it’s incredibly charming and hilarious, like, actually had moments where I had to put the book down to laugh and then tell someone about it, with very emotional moments, and the plot’s mystery was woven very interestingly. I’m kinda surprised more people haven’t read or talked about it!!

VERY easy, especially if she doesn't know you that well. she doesn't have the time or energy to surround herself with people she can't trust and if you give her any reason not to, ur out the door immediately LMFAO

22. how does jealousy manifest itself in them (they become possessive, they become aloof, etc)? 

she gets snappy and irritated 😭 not the best way to cope and she knows that but she doesn't care !

37. do they have a system for remembering names, long lists of numbers, things that need to go in a certain order (like anagrams, putting things to melodies, etc)? 

i fear not 😭 arabella is very unorganized but in a way that to other people she seems messy, but to her everything is exactly where it needs to be and easy for her to find

2. We know F has not seen much of the human world. Is there anything that your detective would like to show or do with them that they had not experienced yet?

She would take Farah to local museums, cause is a history buff at heart. would want to teach Farah anything and everything she has questions about. Jas would look on in fascination at Farah's intrigue and obvs would get her little trinkets from the gift store at each one they visit. Would also want to show Farah the gardens with the different bright flowers and the garden centre as well. Cause would hope Farah could enjoy seeing the funny / weird garden decorations hehe.

5. If your detective knew, how would they feel about F wanting to “chosen” and their fears of this all disappearing tomorrow?

It will be looking in a mirror. Jasmine knows all too well what it's like to not be chosen, or worse - chosen last amongst peers. Knowing that Farah feels the same would make Jas have a sense of protection over her. Doesn't wish to see her hurt in the same ways she used to. Jas would want to be the reason those fears disappear, so one day - they both are reassured that no matter what, they will choose each other.

14. What do you think drew your detective to F? And when exactly was the moment, where it was “yes, I like them” (If they’ve admitted that to themselves, of course) And if not, what’s stopping them at this point?

What drew Jas would be seeing Farah's light in a dark atmosphere, her optimism and playful attitude. It was refreshing for her to see someone so open and carefree, something she lacks within herself. In terms of realising she likes her, it wasn't just one scene but a series of little moments, such as - in bk 1 where Farah came into the room just to check in how she was doing. Joining her to walk out to the car, waiting for her when she finishes work. Despite not being a fan of research, Farah still stayed in the library with her. That kiss scene, enjoying it far more than she should which made her scared... but most recently, the bk 3 bakery scene where Farah was like " - dont ever doubt how special you are ". that single moment was the final nail in the coffin for Jasmine to fully realise... she's in love with Farah.
