Backstory: because i want to ramble More

Born to parents from an arranged marriage because clan Lavellan wanted magical blood. Mother died in childbirth. Father was entirely unprepared to be a single parent to a baby and since he was an outsider he did not feel as though he fit in. Raises Vanora for 10 emotionally distant, awkward years before hes like well, I've done enough and nobody wants be here. Byee. Amd takes off.

Vanora is raised by the Keeper mostly, and is made Second once her magic manifests, bjt no one really expects her to be First/Keeper since the First is well trained and well respected, and capable (subtle. Foreshadowing). She kind of just assumes she'll be shunted off to a different clan at some point like her own father was, or she will live an entirely ordinary life as a healer. Maybe die having kids like her mom.

Then shortly before the conclave, the First is murdered by Templars and she has no choice but to go in his place, even though she is entirely unprepared and has no idea what to do. The only thing stopping her from running off screaming into the woods is a single, fraying thread of self respect.

Basically a great deal of early game features conversations as thus:

Vanora: Am I in trouble

Varric: In trouble? With who?

Vanora: Anyone

Varric: You're 25

Vanora: That doesn't answer my question

Reinventing my inquisitor since its been more than 6 years and i can do 2 things to immediately improve her which is 1. Make her older 2. Give her an aquiline nose
