I watched Dawko's playthrough of Ruin because I'm very uncoordinated and can't play video games right, also I'm broke as shit-ANYWAY, I HAVE FEELINGS AND OPINIONS.

Because if he has been trying to stop you the whole DLC from releasing the beast, that's kinda cool

I ask because he gets on Cassie's case whenever she tries to breach the security nodes that lock the monster in

This two and a half hour DLC gave us more story than the entirety of Security Breach, which was 9 1/2 (nine and a half).

So, I call that a win.

Still don't like Monty's Gator-Golf.

I wanna believe that they’re not gonna bring in Vanessa, a modern FNAF character, into the OG FNAF movie if they weren’t planning on using her for Vanny right?? Like I feel like that’s the most iconic part of her character (also cause there’s like. no other part of her character 🧍me and Steel Wool have beef)

I don’t think the FNAF movies will be following the OG timeline of the games solely because well. *gestures to Vanessa being in the FNAF 1 movie*. I wouldn’t know how they would do the Pizzaplex in 2035 with the current Vanessa 💀💀💀 also just like. I feel like it would be repetitive as a character arc to have Vanessa fall under a Glitchtrap virus or just her father’s control again as Vanny. Not after she kind of went through that whole arc already in FNAF 1.

In my head, I can see them doing Vanny as a sort of ‘Vanessa reclaiming the rabbit persona’ as her own (kind of like the Vanny ending of HW2…. depending on how you interpret that ending) and using it in a revenge fueled hunt to rid everything the Afton name has stained (the victims in the animatronics and pizzerias and the Fazbear brand as a whole)

My biggest fear is that they’re just gonna use Vanessa as an exposition machine to introduce Mike and Abby to the next pizzeria location and have her do jackshit. Or fridge her. I want an exploration of her trauma and the Vanessa William dynamic!!! I need to see how fucked up the situation is in 4k on a cinemark XD screen!!!!!!

There are so many interesting little details and tidbits in the fnaf movie novel

Mike had basically already started taking care of Abby when he was 15, because his parents couldn’t pull themselves together and rarely had anything to do with her. When their parents died, she was 3 and he was 18.

They parentified him 😭

William doesn’t react to Mikes last name in the office scene like he does in the movie, strangely enough. He already knows it, doesn’t react to it or recognize it. Makes you wonder why they changed it for the movie, or if they altered the story. The movie made William recognizing his last name and recognizing him feel like a big deal.

Seems like a lot of girls have a thing for Mike, but he’s super oblivious to it and never picks up on the fact that they’re flirting with him (The Autism™️)

Max in the novel had a crush on him (girl is down bad horrendous), but could never seem to get his attention. Jane approached Max on a bad day after another one of these failed attempts, which is part of the reason why Max agreed to spy for her.

We get a few more deets on the gang that broke into Freddy’s, and the whole scene gets extended a little . Hank and Carl are father and son duo, Max’s dog is here.

When asked, Abby says that the ghost children are younger than she is.

In Mikes dreams, the ghost kids are always changing. Cassidy stays the same, but the other 4 are constantly shifting in and out of focus, like they’re paper drawings, then real kids again, their faces always seem to blur. It’s reflective how none of them have a clear sense of self anymore and can’t remember anything, apart from Cassidy who is very aware of what’s going on.

Garrett’s murder was specifically mentioned to have been before Freddy’s, so he isn’t possessing any of the machines.

Interestingly enough though, his ghost does appear in the novel, a reenactment of the mentioned deleted sequence in the movie where he leads Mike to the archway, and the yellow rabbit then steps out.

The yellow rabbit has no dialogue when he arrives and starts beating Mike up. William only starts speaking when Vanessa arrives and he takes off his mask.

Vanessa’s trauma and fear of her father seem to be expanded on way more in the novel. It was actually kinda sad to read

main special interest is fairies and folklore obviously

prefers raglan shirts bc it’s less obvious when they’re 3 sizes too small and she keeps all her clothes Forever

at one point stella throws away one of her old outfits in an attempt to motivate her to be more Stylish which leads to an intense meltdown. Stella apologizes by showing bloom a couple of spells for making clothes last longer

hair is always a disaster bc of stimming. shakes it out when she’s flustered, pulls it when she’s angry (used to pull it as hard as she could, but mike and vanessa helped her learn to stim in a safer way), combs it with her fingers when she’s nervous/excited

ok with metaphors but completely incapable of telling when someone is fucking with her, which contributed to her being bullied and subsequent anger issues

actually inclined to Too Much Eye Contact, but purposely avoids it bc of her weird slitted pupils

her struggles with talking still occasionally come through in echolalia when she’s confused/overwhelmed, or going fully nonverbal in particularly bad cases. also growling when she’s really angry

craves touch but doesn’t know how to initiate it/what’s appropriate, due to being so isolated as a child. slowly becomes a cuddle monster as she gets comfortable with the winx

arch nemesis is the kitchen (contains Only bad sounds- metal scraping, appliances humming, dishwasher shlorp and spray and beep, knIFE SHARPENER, FOOD PROCESSOR? tools of the devil)

hates using cutlery because of the noise also. plastic is out bc of her chewing habit. eats a lot of sushi bc 1: ingredients all visible and 2: chopsticks far less objectionable utensils (she mostly uses them super wrong tho)
