Four women.
Four mates.
That’s what destiny had given Kiros.
And they all distrusted him. It was fair enough. Cruel, but fair wasn’t always equal, nor was it nice.
And it was quite fitting for his mates to be three vampires and a werewolf. Like the universe needed a laugh. And Kiros was the punchline.
But who was to say this situation could or couldn’t work? Only the women themselves.
The rain came in sheets, relentless and cold, but Kiros barely felt it as he stepped through the dense forest surrounding Forks.
Kiros felt out of place in Forks. With its uneasy alliances and coexistence of the supernatural. It defied nature; a town where vampires and werewolves lived side by side.
And Kiros currently felt in the middle of it. Both figuratively and literally. He was straddling both worlds. A creature of pure anomaly, even among legends. He had been alone for a long time, but now his motive was to find his mates. Make a family of his own. He did not think it would be this hard.
Kiros’ eyes flickered toward Leah Clearwater, the one who seemed to be fighting the imprinting the most. Her dark hair was slick from the rain, droplets falling from her their tips. She was doing everything to restrain her fury. Not only did the wolf in her want to reject him, but it also wanted to rip his other three mates to shreds.
Leah wanted the four vampires off her land and away from her pack. She didn’t know if she could trust them. Especially because Embry was bleeding so goddamn much.
She leant over Embry, looking at the wound, and with a ragged breath uttered, “We need…he needs … god he needs help! What the hell happened!”
He, lay sprawled in the mud, his breathing shallow. Deep, jagged wounds marred his side, gashes that oozed dark red, staining the earth beneath him. He had been attacked, but he could not speak. No one knew what had mutilated him like this.
Not even Kiros. And Alice and Carlisle were not here; Billy couldn’t get a hold of them. No one knew how to fix this. And whatever had attacked Embry must have been something truly cruel since the gash was somehow getting bigger, redder; angrier.
“We need to go to Cullen,” Leah said, fake finality in her voice.
“He won’t make it that far,” Kiros replied, “there’s venom in his blood.” He kneeled beside the injured wolf. “You can smell it, can’t you?”
Leah’s nostrils flared, and when realisation struck, her lips parted in horror.
Whoever the venom belonged to, seemed to have a lethal, or at least agonising, affect to shapeshifters. For Embry was pale, sweating and letting out choked screams.
Kiros moved closer. “I can save him.”
The four women stared at him. But the Denali sisters knew when to sink into the shadows.
Leah glared. Then barked a humourless laugh, “You? You’re part vampire. Your blood might kill him faster.”
“No. I’m not a full vampire.” Kiros opened his palm and with one sharp movement, sliced his skin. Crimson blood welled up; but it shimmered, with a luminescent effect to it.
The four women flinched at the scent.
It was … intoxicating, enchanting and powerful.
His blood was unlike any other.
The women were pulled out of their trance, “Look. It may be a gamble, but if I do nothing he will die.,” Kiros admitted.
Leah hesitated, took one look at Embry and wanted to cry. Which was not like her at all. This was an impossible decision. A part of her was screaming not to trust Kiros. He was an outsider. A stranger. A hybrid: a being that should not exist. But one more look at Embry and she realised there was no choice.
“Do it,” she said, voice tight.
In no time at all, Kiros had moved and pressed his bleeding hand to Embry’s mouth. He tilted his head slightly, allowing the blood to go down his throat easier.
The young man barely reacted at first. But then -
Embry gasped, his entire body jolting. The wounds on his side began to knit together, the pain was easing. The venom in his body was burning away because of an older, an ancient force.
Embry’s breathing returned to normal, as did his colour, his temperature and soon his body felt like his own once again.
Leah exhaled sharply. Her knees buckled, but she caught herself. And then her eyes locked onto Kiros. The fight in her didn’t disappear, not fully, but something in her shifted.
Trust.
Not wholly. Not yet.
But the beginning of it.
She stood slowly, helping Embry to his feet.
Turning to Kiros, she uttered, “I still don’t like you. But you saved his life.”
Kiros tilted his head slightly. “I don’t need you to like me,” he said. “Just accept that I’m not your enemy.”
Leah held his gaze for a long moment and then nodded. It was small, but it was there. An understanding.
From the edge of the clearing, Tanya watched, her golden eyes bright with interest. She stepped closer, her expression thoughtful. “Fascinating,” she murmured. “Your blood. Your abilities. There’s nothing else like you, is there?”
“No,” Kiros answered simply. “There isn’t.”
Kate smirked, arms crossed. “Well, I think that settles it,” she said, nodding toward Leah. “If you can get her to tolerate you, you might actually stand a chance with the rest of us.”
Irina, who had been silent the entire time, finally spoke, her voice quiet. “You’re dangerous,” she said. It wasn’t an accusation. It was a fact.
Kiros didn’t deny it.
But as he looked around, at Leah, at Tanya’s curiosity, at Kate’s amusement, and even at the wary distrust in Irina’s eyes; he realised that for the first time in centuries, he wasn’t just tolerated.
He was seen.
And for someone who had spent a lifetime as a myth, that was more than a start.

“Blood Ties” Sims 4 Edition PART 1
We’ve brought the iconic characters of Blood Ties into the world of Sims 4.
Here’s a sneak peek at our favorite duo - supernatural detective Vicki Nelson and the enigmatic vampire Henry Fitzroy.
🔎 Vicki Nelson - A former homicide detective turned private investigator with an unyielding drive for justice. Her sharp instincts are matched by her unwavering tenacity. Whether she’s chasing down leads or facing down demons, she always looks like she means business leather jackets and all. And yes, she still sports her signature runic tattoos on both wrists.
Henry Fitzroy - The brooding vampire and illegitimate son of King Henry VIII. Immortal, charming, and enigmatic, Henry’s a man with a complex past. He may be centuries old, but that doesn’t mean he can’t rock a modern, stylish look. Whether he’s in a classic suit or more casual attire, his intensity never wavers.
✨ Stay tuned the full character showcase, detailed images, and all the CC content for download will be available soon.

THE MONSTROUS ADVENTURES OF MUMMY MAN AND WAFFLES by me (Steve Behling) and illustrator Robb Mommaerts is number 720 on the Amazon Children’s Halloween Books list! WOOOOOOO!!!!
It’s every kid’s dream to be #720, and we fully embrace it. Now, only [counts quietly to self] 719 spots to go until we’re number one!
In the meantime, we need one of those “We’re #1!” foam gloves but it has 720 fingers and says, “We’re #720!”

Once again telling my age here, but omg I loved that series! No, it wasn't perfect, but it had so much potential. I only learned that it was based on a game after I saw it, and I understand that a lot of game players didn't like it. But taken by itself, I loved it. (And yes, Mark Frankel was very easy on the eyes, may he rest in peace.)
Also makes me think of another sadly short-lived vampire TV series I loved: Blood Ties, based on Tanya Huff's books, and starring Christina Cox, Kyle Schmid, and Dylan Neal.

What page or chapter did Edward ask jasper what sex was like ? I’m so curious on what jasper said lmaoo
it's not an actual scene-scene that takes place—Edward just tells Bella after their wedding night in BD that "oh btw I asked my (spiritual) virgin dad and chad brothers about fucking"
Tumblr media
and of course stephenie sees an opportunity to neg every non-edbella couple and is like don't worry guys: edward's Superior control and Superior love means he is the most specialboy specialest vampire ever, the only one for whom the taste of blood isn't literally better than sex

Let's Talk A Little About Henry And Lestat Pt.2: The Tale Of Two Princes
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Henry Fitzroy is the son of a King, but he was a bastard and so would not be in line for the throne. He was well favored by his father and so he was given the title of Duke of Richmond and Somerset.
Tumblr media
Lestat was technically an aristocrat even though he was the seventh son of a marquis and more than likely wasn't going to inherit anything anyway. But boy still had that dignified air about him.
Tumblr media
Despite age and experience, both of these guys have managed to retain that joie de vivre. I'm guessing that being turned at an age when they were at the peak of youthful exploration helped a lot.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But they do have their serious, sad, lonely moments.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
AND...they are both artists.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Henry is a painter and a story teller. He writes and draws horror graphic novels and has made quite the name for himself among the fans of that genre. Lestat is an actor and a musician.
I can only imagine how they could inspire each other.

ᴹᵃˢᵗᵉʳˡᶤˢᵗ | ᴹᵃˢᵗᵉʳˡᶤˢᵗ ᴵᴵ
In a hidden corner of the world where dark forests met silvered mountains, lived a creature of ancient power and unparalleled mystery. His name was Kiros, a rare hybrid of vampire and werewolf, born of a forbidden union between two realms that loathed each other. His existence was a paradox: the unyielding hunger of a vampire and the wild strength of a werewolf, bound together in a single, tortured soul.
Kiros Lucian Yoruba. Named after his grandparents as was a common tradition amongst werewolves.
Kiros’s beginning was a sad one. Only a few months into the pregnancy, his mother, a werewolf, had been bitten by a centuries-old vampire. The venom had worked its way through her blood stream and straight to Kiros.
In retaliation, his father; a noble and forthright man, had killed the vampire. Tracked him across the seas, all in revenge.
A true wolf, bitten by a vampire, had never happened before. Not in all of history. Until Kiros.
He became a myth, a legend. His story was one that the supernatural world told one another in front of fireplaces. It changed over time; each of the details changing in one way or another. As he was the type to keep to himself, Kiros never challenged the differing tales. There was no need to.
So, thousands of years later, in the 20th century, Kiros now stood with a coffee cup in his large hand. His body had stopped ageing at 27, he stopped growing when he reached just passed seven feet tall. Watching over his land as the sun went down, in the distance he saw two figures approaching.
On the other side of the country, the Cullens had brought together their closest friends to stand against the Volturi. The young Renesmee had touched their hearts. Even those who had hearts of ice, were starting to melt.
And Irina had made a mistake and forced herself to come back to her coven to apologise. To grovel, in all truth.
“I had flashbacks of the past,” she said. Her eyes sad and tearful. She meant every word, and yet, she hadn’t entirely been truthful. But her family not knowing her true intentions would save them. Irina told herself that she could sacrifice one family for another. For the Cullens had been living a good life for a long time.
Kiros stood at the front door, his fist about to touch its surface when it swung open. A handsome blonde man, Carlisle from Alice’s description, stood before him.
“We didn’t think you would get here so quickly; I hope your journey wasn’t too tiresome.” Well-mannered, Kiros noted and stared into the vampire’s golden eyes.
“It was fine,” Kiros said in his deep and rumbling voice. It was pure earth. Unmovable, just how he appeared. “Where are they?”
Carlisle’s eyes flicked from Kiros to the dense forest behind him. Kiros, with his depth-perception, noticed it and turned around.
There was movement, and then two large wolves appeared. They were startled to see him; none of the pack had noticed Kiros enter Forks, nor their territory.
The untraceable speed was an ability that most of the supernatural world hadn’t seen. Kiros possessed many gifts that only a hybrid would; and he seemed to be the only one of his kind.
It was why unease had crawled its way through the Cullen’s residence. No one knew of a creature like Kiros.
And that’s why Jacob had bid his new pack to disperse; but only the opposite was done.
Leah. The name echoed in Kiros’ mind. One of his four mates. One of the names Alice Cullen had promised him a month ago on his doorstep.
Kiros walked down the front steps and one of the wolves whined. He ventured further but a warning growl sounded behind him.
“I wouldn’t do that if I was you,” a young man stalked towards the two wolves from inside. A wave of anger crashed within Kiros.
“I am not you,” he answered with a snarl. And Leah, now changed from her wolf form, made a small noise.
“You?” her voice was harsh and yet familiar at the same time. Kiros’ attention turned wholeheartedly to Leah. And a rope had knotted itself between them. Tying them together for eternity.
This happened within seconds and nearly knocked the short-haired shifter to her knees. But her balance was rectified by Kiros. He seemed to leap through the air but again the shifters had been unable to comprehend the fast movement. Faster than any normal vampire.
   “I’m not your only imprint…
“How is that even possible?” Jacob said, clearly irritated. His arms crossed over his chest, almost as if he was trying to make himself appear larger.
“It is not known,” Kiros replied.
“Alice should have told them,” Esme murmured to Carlisle. Three pale, blonde-haired women stood on one side of the room.
Kiros stood opposite them. His eyes moving from one woman to the next. None looked happy to see him. Not at all.
The once crowded room had dispersed, leaving only the Denali coven, Carlisle and Esme.
Eleazar’s eyes went wide as his gift took in the stranger. Carmen noticed, her eyebrows knitting together with worry.
“There have been myths about a being like you,” Eleazar said, barely above a whisper.
All Kiros gave him was a nod.
“I really don’t care,” Kate said and started to move, her hand ready to attack.
“No-“ Eleazar said, watching on with the others as Kate advanced.
But the severe nature that was expected did not appear. Kiros only smiled as he felt a small zap on his chest.
    “Huh… that should’ve-“
“Done something more deadly? Yes. It would have, if I was anyone else,” Kiros said, gently taking Kate’s hand and removing it from his body.
Something shifted in the room. To everyone but the three females, Kiros became infinitely more alarming.
But they understood him. Even though they were hesitant. The three women weren’t easily swayed, in most things. Their minds, their hearts and souls – were their own.
They wouldn’t let anyone change that.
Not a man.
Not a vampire.
Not even a Hybrid who had been alive for thousands of years.
But in that moment, Kiros had earned the three females’ respect.
