Back when mahiru thought his uncle might be dead he had a flashback to the accident that resulted in his mother's death, but one thing I noticed is that we don't actually see akira in this memory? It feels like either mahiru (or someone like lily or jeje) is supressing his memory here.

And if someone possibly killed akira on purpose, who was it and why?

Servamp beach day!

Pov: its a hot summer day (without the vampire war ofc and they can go out in the sun- and not transform into their animal forms)

Kuro will literally burry himself in the sand so he doesnt die of sunburn- (he gets a sunburn in seconds)

Mahiru and the wrath pair will probably be in charge of the food while izuna starts to use her new inventions

The greed pair and team melancholy prob play volleyball but how we know licht will literally smack that ball into someone's face

Tsurugi would sit at the side and build little sandcastles with takuto and junichiro 🥺

Niccolo will probably try to go into the water but its to cold for him 😩

Ildio will throw him into the water and jump in too.

...tsurugi and lawless with water guns? Bad combination.

They will be the worst duo and splash everyone like little kids water guns waterbombs everything

Misono wont set a foot into the water he will just stay on his towel

Lily and freya will prob just do each others hair braid it put flowers in it all that stuff

Tetsu would just swim around while hugh lays on his back and brags about stuff his subclasses told him

Lawless and ildio will just do dumb brother stuff like watching girls and stuff-

Mahiru is the mother like always and has to calm them down...he prob has just a little block of cheese in his pocket just to give lawless as a treat if he did good 😭

Lawless will gladly take the cheese- (ildio wants some to he gets jealous if he doesn't get cheese)

Kuro just casually play on his Nintendo while sitting in a swimming ring- (he probably fell asleep the first 10 minutes and gets a sunburn after-

Mikuni will just start to piss of everyone especially misono while jeje just sits around and tries not to heat up-

Jeje and niccolo will probably just faint at one point because of the heat-

Niccolo will read a book or start to draw the others while sitting under the beach umbrella and he just takes care that none of the stuff gets stollen

Tsurugi and takuto brought little duckies to play with at the beach😭

Tsurugi would prob start to play a hohle story and give the one ducky a tragic death-

Izuna and freya would go and buy ice for everyone!

After a long day at the beach they just sit at the sand and talk while eating ice cream and ofc melon for licht

Mikado really drank the c3 Kool aid didn't he

Yep! The Alicein family is one we know for sure had the means (both in money and societal power) to start up something new if he has decided he didn't want his kids to go into C3. Dude could have created an entirely new organization to help people and employ mages who didn't want to kill vampires or something but instead he sat on C3's board and watched his son join C3 and get paired with the one person that would get you targeted by vampires if you leave and watched his youngest son pretty much get kidnapped by then.

Many thoughts about chapter 145, but there are a couple of interesting reveals too.

One, Sakuya was chronologically older than expected. It seems like he would have been in the ballpark of Shuuhei and Mikuni's age if he hadn't become a vampire.

Two, Team Melancholy had no idea about the internal drama or even the hierarchy at C3. Tsubaki's total lack of reaction to Touma being Mahiru's dad confirms it. Tsubaki didn't seem to recognize him as C3's Tokyo Branch Vice President. There's no way he would have had no emotional reaction to seeing the guy who was responsible for The Hound. He clearly didn't recognize Touma's face. Beyond that, Tsubaki and Sakuya apparently never discovered why Mikuni had any interest in Mahiru. Sakuya gets an F grade for his spy work, 0/5 stars.

The emotions embedded into them feeding the demon, so the growth of the Eve varies with the Item

Licht put a lot of effort into handcarving Lawless's Item, and Lawless's demon repaid that with the strength of Licht's Lead. When paired with Licht's own natural affinity due to his beliefs, he becomes a rather insane powerhouse despite lacking a background in… Y’know. Vampire stuff.

Mahiru struggled with his Lead at first both because he didn't know what he was doing but also because the Inner Sloth wasn't sure what to make of him, so his Lead misbehaved quite a bit

Freya’s Item was something she requested from Iduna, and not something Iduna chose on her own. A part of her, grown from her body, and common occult beliefs would say that something as intimate as a woman’s hair would be a very strong magical conduit. It’s why you’ll often find powerful spells require things like blood, or hair, or nail clippings, or even teeth. And Iduna… Well, Frey gave her an entire costume change lol

Of course, it could have nothing to do with the Item itself, and everything to do with the Demon. The Item can just inform initial impressions of the Servamp and Eve don’t have a history. Despite the close relationship Misono has with Lily, because Inner Lust fears for his safety and wants him to remain a child forever, Misono is a pretty weak Eve compared to the others. Conversely, I don’t think Inner Envy likes Mikuni too much? We haven’t met them yet, but… It seems like Inner Envy doesn’t like Eves in general. Maybe it drives Jeje’s Eves insane because it wants Jeje all to itself?

Mahiru Shirota's life is going to fall apart as soon as we get any, any new information about his mother.

With chapter 136, Lily reveals to Misono that Touma Taishi is Mahiru Shirota's biological father and it was the reason why Lily had planted Kuro in that alleyway to pick up. I am inclined to believe him because it adds up in the story as a whole; Why Kuro was there in the first place since we know he had been asleep under Alicein manor for the last 200 years.

Along with the fact that Hokaze (Misono's mom) was finally revealed to be a promiscuous woman who was a very active participant in the cheating scandal, I cannot believe that Akira was in no way involved in this plot to resurrect the Count Saint Germaine. Akira may not be on the side that wants to bring him back but she was a part of it no less, we just do not know how yet. (I am figuratively biting my nails waiting to see the ball drop for her)

She was very aware of vampires, magic and mages, this is a fact not because we know that she herself is a mage, we do not know that much, but because of Tooru. He attended the same high school/prep school that Misono does that has direct ties to C3 recruitment and we know he's been involved with Touma since his days there and they fought/killed vampires since then. Along with the Shirota family no doubt being a mage family, Akira was not at all oblivious to this.

I do not, however, think that her sleeping with Touma and creating Mahiru was any plot nudged by any Servamp or like. Why?

Because Lily had genuinely believed that Touma would come to Mahiru's aid in a life-or-death situation that would have otherwise killed him, and was rather shocked when Touma tried to kill him on his own. At least according to what he told Misono. (I believe most of what he's telling Misono except that he doesn't actually care about Misono. I think he's trying to made Misono mad at him beyond reconciliation for Reasons because he's a fucking coward who, if loved properly, won't be able to go through with his and Mikuni's plans)

Anyways, the reason I say Mahiru's entire world will fall apart instead of his views of his mother is because of one specific instance in the manga; Tooru thanking Mahiru for saving Touma. Not for saving Tsurugi like Mahiru probably thinks he was saying, Touma. Because Lily's plan included Touma dying because he was so close to figuring out how they were going to revive the Count.

If Touma HAD died, the good guys wouldn't know what would be happening. Tsubaki, Envy pair and Lily would have been completely clear to start the ritual while completely blindsiding everyone opposed ON TOP of starting the ritual a day early. They'd have been a lot less prepared than they are right now. Touma was a huge danger to the ritual's success.

Tooru knows this. He knows whats happening. Yes, he's also just relieved his childhood friend and coworker isn't dead thanks to his nephew but that isn't the only reason.

Why would Tooru leave Mahiru alone with Tsubaki in the restaurant they went to? Why would Tooru pretend Kuro was a burglar when he saw him chilling in the apartment and then so quickly drop the fact that there supposedly was a burglar in the house, all when we know he must have known who Kuro was the moment he saw him. Even if this was early manga and we did not yet know he was an elite of C3!

Mahiru's entire world is going to fall apart not only because he'll learn his mother is not the woman he thought she was, but because he'll learn he's been betrayed by his uncle in a way far greater than him leaving him alone and lonely for months at a time.

Tooru knows. And has made sure Mahiru didn't under the naive guise of protecting him.

Lily thought that Touma will be protecting Mahiru like a normal dad from Tsubaki when in fact he's on the same boat with the "let's fuck my own spawn" squad.

It's sad but funny at the same time.

Anyway, it's getting clear that Touma has this goal to make his own Servamp cause like what Lily said, he's a threat to them from getting a sniff that Germain wanted to be brought back. Knowing Touma and his dislike(?) towards Mikuni, he's not gonna stand still and let Mikuni has it all. In fact... I think..... Touma wanted to be the one who revives Germain so he use Tsurugi as his Lab Rat to see whether he could do it or not.

But the one that interest me the most is the fact that Lily wanted to put Kuro on Mikuni's path first. But considering the hatred of Tsubaki towards Kuro can be ruining their (questionable) alliance, he changed the plan to Mahiru. Knowing Mahiru is Touma son and has no magic ability. He use Mahiru with a hope that if Tsubaki wanted to target Mahiru (coz he's Kuro's eve), Touma will protected his son and will be killed along the way. But the reality? LOL.

Anyway, the one with Tsubaki's sister being the main reason why Tsubaki wants to bring Germain back is realy mind blowing. All along I thought that the hatred towards Kuro is because Tsubaki is so loyal to Germain and the jealousy from knowing that Kuro is Germain's favorite (i still don't understand why he's so obssesed with Kuro) .

But I wonder when was Touma get a sniff about this Germain revival thingy. Is it when Akira is still alive? If so, the reason why Akira won't tell anyone that Touma is Mahiru's dad could make so much sense. Touma ambition is scary, that's why Akira choose to keep him in the dark. And i think she also didn't want Mahiru to be in touch to anything about C3, vampire, etc. Guess she'd be crying in heaven right now seeing her son was in EVERYTHING that she didn't want his son to be. And again the one who's to blame is Lily, cause he's the start of everyting.

That's make me question one thing. Is Akira death is for a reason? Is it really accident? Or is she killed by someone to perfect the plan?

This getting dark, did I miss something from the manga....

Well, Mikuni rewrote reality to where he is gonna be Misono's dad instead, and he married Misonos mom, there's also a lot of other changes, like how team M seem to have never became vampires so all of them are humans and still in their countries of origin.

Akira and Touma got married so he is an active part of Mahirus life in this world and as a result Mahiru goes to the private school Misono went to, so he never met his school friends. Due to the fact that Mikuni is Misonos father in this world Misono either isnt born yet or is really young. And Nicco is dead in this world.

The only people who seem to remember the old world is Mikuni, Tsubaki, Kuro, Jeje, Hugh, and maybe Lily.

I don't really know what's up with Lily, he only showed up for like a panel as a butterfly in the new world, but it looked like he was leaving the Alicein mansion in his butterfly from but I couldn't tell

I am not capable of taking in anything other than the first two lines, I'm. I don't think I have been this flabbergasted in a long while. That is a level of concerning that is honestly almost impressive.

I can't. Mikuni. Please. Is this a case of daddy issues (he wants to replace his father) or mommy issues (wants to marry the woman his father cheated with)? Or maybe something else entirely (brother issues??)? Everything all at once?

What was his end goal when putting himself into that position. Is this a kink thing. Please say yes this is the only way to explain this.

To think that Mikado developed a habit of never finishing a simple chess game with his youngest son after having the little confidence he ever had in himself completely and entirely destroyed by his eldest, who was just five years old at that time.

To think that just like his daddy, (point and laugh yall) Mikuni also pushed misono around while playing chess when they were younger and ended the game very similarly to how his father did with misono, telling misono it's late and that he should go to bed.

To think that Mikuni quite literally planted a false and traumatic memory in Misono's head, the fact that misono was never there and witnessed what happened, the fact that it was such a cruel thing to do to your little brother who was just a child back then, yet somehow you knew that it was essential in order for him to find out the truth about his life that you knew your family was going to keep away from him. No matter how much they lied, that lie you planted was much stronger than theirs. (everytime misono was made to forget, told off or had his memories manipulated by lily, it would always be that one memory Mikuni planted in his mind that doesn't fully disappear, the one reason he needed to visit the east wing for, trying to fully remember, and its always because of that image that he once again tries to make it into the east wing regardless of how many times lily has stopped him)

To think that shuuhei resented the vampire that killed his father, while Mikuni willingly spends day and night with the vampire that killed his mother right in front of him.

To think that Jeje is accepting of Mikuni using him for his own benefit. To think that Jeje is accepting of Mikuni throwing him away once "he no longer has any use of him". (I will literally cry, and I almost did when Jeje thought of it and said "all that's left for me is to see things through, once I lose this name-" LIKE WDYM)

To think that Jeje has gone through many eves and continuesly had to see them lose themselves, become insane and engulf him & he had no control over it. ( and yet.. He still made a couple more contracts in hopes of that "maybe this time it will be different") (it never was)

To think that Jeje volunteered to be sealed away by C3 without even knowing when he will ever wake up again, "hopefully not" is what he most likely wished for, considering his character and how he was looking for a way to die to begin with. (yet something deep inside of him couldn't help but be a little.. Perhaps happy..? grateful? When Kiriko broke the seal on him)

To think that Mikado thought of and gave a sincere gift to the woman whom he was having an affair with, while neglecting his own wife who was one of the sweetest and greatest supports to him and his lack of abilities.

To think that abel is just that 'coincidence' of a gift that Mikado's wife (Kiriko) received from him, yet Mikuni still holds it dear to him as keepsake that once belonged to his mother, regardless of him knowing the disappointing truth behind it.

To think that you thought this post was going to end soon.

To think that Mikuni knew of his father's affair far before his mother even figured it out, (you do the math on how young he was then) Yet of course kept quiet, lived with it, decided to be mature about it, understanding that no good would come out of telling her, understanding that you cannot change what's already happened and that his mother was bound to find out soon enough anyway-..Because, according to him, his father wasn't that good at keeping it a secret. (even so, I feel like deep down mikuni felt very guilty, like he was betraying his mother by feigning ignorance to it and was no different from the others in the house who tuned a blind eye to his mother's heart & feelings)

To think that Mikuni grew up too fast & Misono grew up too slow due to one knowing too much for his own good (although he probably thinks that knowing too much is better than knowing too little, and perhaps he's right about that) while the other was kept in the dark so he doesn't meet the same fate as the one who knew too much.

To think that Mikuni wanted people to perceive him in a bad way/as the perpetrator/as a bad person, and according to himself & Jeje it will be for his own benefit... (perhaps because its easier to control or fool others when you know how they perceive you? Who knows. Furthermore, to be fair, he isn't far from a bad person if not one, undeniably a criminal with a variety of different crimes, makes Jeje do the dirty work so his own hands remain clean and pure)

To think that Mikuni burned down the east wing, the place that holds both good & bad memories for him. His diary, his books, his secrets and feelings, things that he never told, feelings that he left behind, equipment from his childhood such as the violin that his mother gave him for one of his birthdays along with the many music sheets spread all over the floor. The place where his mother died before him, the place where he first made his contract with Jeje, the place that holds so much importance to his story. It All burned to ashes, all possible pieces and traces of himself that remained in that place, for seven years after he left- its gone. Turned into dust.

To think that some still hold hope for the alicein family to become one piece once again after allat? I won't even blame Mikuni if he suddenly decided to burn the rest of the house. (/hj) (I'm not) (jk lol)

Going through some servamp moments centered around lily, mikuni and misono and...argh. I want to hit lily and mikuni over the head with their stupid chess boards.

Yes, lily. I believe you when you say that you don't know what love is. And mikuni doesn't know what love is either. Or at least he has forgotten about it.

People are not chess pieces for you to play with and sacrifice. They are not objects, nor living tools to reach a goal or an ideal to be put on a pedestal. They are also way more complex than the limited role a chess piece is allowed to fulfill.

You can't truly love if you don't acknowledge that everyone around you and you yourself are people. People with flaws, feelings and with their own free will. If you love someone you don't lie to them, lock them away, deny them their self-determination and tell them this deprivation of freedom and honesty is done out of love for them. That's just abuse.

I wonder if the subclasses (especially team M) still exist or if in Mikuni's 'ideal' world they never became subclasses in the first place, as in they didn't die and continued to live their lives as human, also is Tsubaki's sister alive I wonder?

That's a good point, I'm really curious to see about that as well -- I mean, if it's possible that Akira is still alive, and certain characters were never born, then it's absolutely possible that some vampires never died in the first place in the mirror world.

I'm dying to know how this whole mirror world thing works, because I think the details of that will make it a little easier to figure out wtf is going on. I hadn't really thought about it at first, but it's definitely interesting to imagine that Tsubaki actually did get his sister back. I wonder how far back they were able to go in order to alter the timeline?

I would love to see Team Melancholy and everyone else thriving in mirror world, but at the same time, I know that changing the timeline could mean that some of them never met each other in the first place. And I hate that thought lol. I want everything back the way it was, broken and completely messed up 😭 Can't believe Mikuni did all this just bc his dad slept with his childhood crush

To be fair we didn't see the reactions of most of them, yet. For all we know, Otogiri and Higan might've also just gone "Ok cool", and Team M is just full of strange people (affectionate).

I also want to know more about Johannes reaction, like, his big sister just died, saying she did it because she couldn't protect him from Everything and so she wouldn't drag him down, and them some rando walks in and turns her into a vampire! Idk how old Johannes was at that point in time but I'd guess like, high school age, MAYBE college but just barely, and poor kid had to deal with THAT! And then the stranger takes her with him and she, apparently, doesn't come back to talk to him!

Like I'm sorry someone get this guy therapy he probably fucking needs it after that!!! Does he blame himself? Does he wonder why she isn't coming back? Did he join Mikuni thinking that, if he works with someone who knows vampires, he'd get to meet his sister again eventually?

We know Sakuya would've become a vampire at most ~10 years ago, and based on how he looks I'd say he was probably turned ~7 years ago

Berukia might still be human, come to think of it. The hospital settings and all for when he was human don't look very outdated

Otogiri too, considering Johannes Mimir Faustus and the age he looked to be at her death

I'm not sure about Higan or Shamrock. If Mikuni did some "go back and change the entire timeline from the start" shit, then maybe. Everything we see about Higan looks like it's a lot older than all the other settings. We know Sham was from right after Tsubaki's escape, so him and Higan might still be subclasses

For anyone interested in the likely logic behind Misono’s spell name in chapter 141, since the spell itself is focused around the imagery of discarding the dream of Wonderland which presents Alice with nonsensical impossibilities and absurd scenarios, I think the spell name is in reference to Alice waking at the end of the book with her head in her sister’s lap on a riverbank, but instead of Alice’s sister, a familiar figure of authority and safety (something Mikuni is the opposite of), it’s the white rabbit’s “hollow” inside the tree. The beginning of Alice’s journey is the end of Misono’s dream. I especially appreciate how it’s so strongly tied to Lily in its imagery and results, because this spell is directly made to counteract Lily

It’s a counterpart to his combi with his Servamp, Execution Block of the Red Queen (Good Night, Sweet Dream), because in the book, the trial leading to the call for her execution is itself what causes Alice to wake up as she realizes that all the characters around her, from the soldiers to the Queen to the knave to the king, are only a pack of playing cards, and Wonderland itself… Was only a dream she was having.

Interestingly, this spell is first used in volume 2, chapter 7, “A Future That Will Never Happen”. I say interesting because uh. Gestures at the current state of things in the Raws

The sub chant is a direct response to Lily’s command in the aforementioned spell to have a good dream, instead refuting the sweet and harmless slumber with the reality Lily of all people cannot handle the most: children have to grow up (quite literally, in Alice’s case. I’m also reminded of the way that inner Lust becomes an adult when she is confronted with Misono’s burgeoning independence and his desire for it. I’ll have to go back and re analyze that whole scene now lol)

When you grow up, you stop believing in things like fairytales and magic. You learn logic and reason. You’re able to pick apart the things in life that don’t make sense, and swallow down unfairness.

Things like Santa, or fairies, or the Easter bunny are no longer real
