You liked being a vampire. You didn’t always use to like it. But after a couple of decades, when it didn’t all feel new and scary, you got used to it. There were many benefits, and ever since you met your current partner, you were not alone, more stable, and integrated into life as much as two vampires could possibly be. 

You liked being a vampire, because it came with so many benefits. The enhanced power, speed, senses. You liked feeling strong and powerful without having to exert much effort. You liked being able to observe your surroundings so much better than you ever could in your mortal life. And generally, you liked the immortality. 

But with said immortality, came also the major downside of being a vampire. Because your lifespan was now a never ending one, but those of your surroundings weren’t. Time seemed to slow down, what seemed like ages in your mortal life was over in the blink of an eye now that you had eternity ahead of you. 

The worst of it came in your familiars. Gundham was partial to hamsters, the worst possible option according to you, because even under the best of conditions, they only lived a couple of years. You barely had time to properly get attached to them before you had to say goodbye, breaking your heart every single time. 

Your boyfriend had way more pragmatic approach to it, quoting the cycle of life and death, and assuring you that the hamster had still lived a happy life with you two as its owners, better than it probably would have gotten without the two of you. 

And yet. You longed for another familiar. One that would stick around a little longer. And maybe one your boyfriend wouldn’t be carrying on his person most of the time, allowing you more time to bond with it. You couldn’t blame him for his actions, he was the hamster-whisperer if there ever was one, but the companionship of a familiar was not his right alone to have. 

So when you found the tiniest kitten in a puddle on the street, you couldn’t help but immediately feel connected to it. You had checked, but no mother or other kittens to be found. It was writhing and meowing loudly, and it was shivering from the cold. It immediately calmed down when you gently wrapped it in your coat, holding it close until you were home. 

You got to work immediately, calling a vet you knew for instructions and assistance, and went out of your way to acquire as many of the supplies as you could. The little creature was barely moving, and you were getting worried about its wellbeing. It was then you felt a presence behind you, and you turned around, startled by your partner, standing over you, trying to figure out just what you were cradling, when all of your hamsters, excuse me, dark devas of destruction were all snuggly tucked away in his scarf, their absolute favorite spot. 

You held up the kitten to him and explained your situation, unable to read his expression as he looked at you intently, taking in every word you said.

“Why are we standing around wasting time then? Let’s conserve our energy and channel it into this helpless being!” 

You blinked a couple of times, his sudden outbursts and loud voice still managing to startle you at times, even after being together for literal centuries. His strange way of speaking had evolved over the years, but had been stuck in some time periods, making him a little bit of a weirdo to anyone who’d speak to him nowadays. You thought it was endearing, especially since you knew he always meant well. 

Just like now. With his help and the guidance from your vet at the phone, you managed to get the little thing in the best state possible in no time. Now it was but a matter of patience, and hoping that your actions had been enough. 

Gundham was uncharacteristically quiet, leading you to the couch so you could sit down and take a minute. Two of his hamsters rested in his scarf, but San-D and Cham-P left to sit with you, snuggling up to your neck, providing you with some comfort. 

“I have neglected your wants for a familiar” 

You looked up at Gundham in confusion. 

“We have familiars though.” You smiled gently, gesturing at the two little creatures nestled on your shoulders. 

“Yes, but I am aware most of them are from my choices and introduced to the darkness by none other than me. It is not that I don’t trust you with tasks of such importance, it is just-” 

You held up your hand, quietly interrupting his apology and smiled. “Is this your way of saying we can keep the cat?” “Of course.”

Buaah Nagitos backstory for the creature au is so sad what the heck... But it's a very interesting concept, all of the guys are super cool and the character designs are pretty :33 do you have any other backstories? For Alane or Nekomaru or other non drawn guys, like maybe Hiyoko or Ibuki (they're my faves hah)? The concept seems very cool!!

OHH! EVEN BETTER. I’ll talk about ALL of them. (At least what I have right now. Some of this might be subject to change later.)

Hajime- Human.

He’s the only human in this crazy group and he feels rather out of place but everyone in the group loves this guy.

Chiaki- Ghoul.

One of the few undead characters in this and the only person who’s able to communicate with nagito when he’s not visible to other people. Perks of being kinda dead ig!

Nagito- Spirit.

After falling victim to a nasty plague, nagito’s spirit has wandered the castle he died in for years… how many? He’s still unsure about that.

Izuru- Gorgon.

After being cursed by his town’s goddess by openly defying her, he was cursed to be a Gorgon and stripped of his humanity. It’s been so long he doesn’t even remember what it was like to be human.

Imposter- Shapeshifter.

Never having a lasting home they bounce from place to place, changing forms each time to try to just find somewhere peaceful. Of course, humans aren’t all that accepting to things that are different.

Teruteru- Dwarf.

He grew up with his mama! I don’t have much info on him yet as I’ve only gotten to a few of the characters! But dw he still loves to cook :3

Mahiru- Aarokocra.

Where’s a better angle for a picture than up in the sky! She deserves pretty feathers…..

Hiyoko- Harpy.

Makes sense with how mean she can be but also with how captivating her movements are!

Peko- Living Doll.

Made for fuyuhiko to protect him and be a tool to him. He doesn’t like this. His parents ordered her to stay with him at all times.

Fuyuhiko- Half foot.

Small but very feisty! You’ll never see him without peko by his side, he acts annoyed about it but he cares for her a lot. He is real mad about how people view him as weak for being a half foot. He can take care of himself Dammit!

Mikan- Drider.

Driders are dark elves that were cursed by their goddess/god to have the lower half of a spider. Mikan’s goddess was feeling wrathful and even though she did everything right, followed every rule her goddess set in place, she was not loved by her goddess.

Ibuki- Satyr.

With her love for music and trouble it makes sense for her to be a satyr! She goes around the woods making anything she can find into an ‘instrument’ as well as picking up things and placing them in the bag she hauls around. Her ‘trinkets’.

Akane- Werewolf.

Very rowdy! She loves to roughhouse and play around and eat!! She travels with her ‘pack’, aka just with nekomaru, they travel together and just have fun! They aren’t too worried abt where they’re headed. As long as they’ve got each other they’re fine!

Nekomaru- Werewolf.

He’s loud! Very loud! And is good at handling Akane when she gets too rambunctious. They’re like siblings, they roughhouse, argue, get on each others nerves but at the end of the day they’re family that would do anything for one another.

Kazuichi- plant person??

The best way I can describe this. Is Venus McFlytrap from monster high. I have to work on him more LOL

Sonia- vampire.

After getting sick from the plague ravaging her kingdom, her parents take her to see a better doctor in another country. She isn’t sure how it all led to this. But the next thing she knew, she was awake. Covered in blood. Next to the bodies of her parents and the body of someone she didn’t recognize. Someone with sharp fangs and pale skin. She doesn’t know what fully happened, but she can only assume she played a role in her parents death. But no one will be able to tell her for sure.

Gundham- Half demon Half human.

Like I said previously, gundham was raised by his mother. His father was a demon, and definitely not there when he was growing up. His mother taught him to care for all creatures and is where he gets his love for animals.

So I've been working on Tenshi for quite a while now. So I'm ready to show you my progress.

For starters, Tenshi Tamayama is the Ultimate Skater Diva, he sings while he skates and he is an idol. People refer him as Angel-Idol or for short AI-san (Mr. AI). He is famous for his strong voice and skating skills. Which is why HPA chose him to join the Academy.

He is somehow quite and looks cold around his peers but he's soft-spoken to the people he's close with (Ex. Mikan, Kazuichi, Ryota and etc)

So let's talk about his relationship with everyone both pre-game and in-game

Kazuichi Souda:

(pre-game)

He is his childhood bff, his first soul-friend, they literally have each others back. The reason why Kazuichi has a small braid because Tenshi has braids. When they both saw each other in HPA, they didn't talk right away because both of their appearance, Tenshi didn't recognize Kazuichi but Kazuichi recognize Tenshi but can't talk to him as he feels intimated by him. But when Tenshi tries to talk to Kazuichi, he breaks down and tells him about how much he misses him. These 2 hang out a lot, whenever Kazuichi is in trouble Tenshi will be right there, just like the good old days. That is until the Tragedy happens.. But when he was in-game, didn't talk right away as they don't recognize each other at first, but when they heard their names, you can see them hugging each other non stop. When the killing game happens, Teruteru and Byakuya dies, Tenshi and Kazuichi stayed close together as they're both paranoid and protective with each other. They were so close till the point Tenshi has a small silly crush on Kazuichi, but believes it'll go away because why would you have a crush on your best friend? While they have each others back, talking about the good days... That didn't last long...

Mikan Tsumiki:

At first he was okay with her, until he defends her from Hiyoko's bullying. He and Mikan became friends, but when Mikan offered him, he instantly declines and still stays by her side. He sees her as a little sister, he's impressed by her skills, he will catch her from slipping and falling on accident. He convinces her to join him and Kazuichi's hangout, she at first it was.. Yknow... But said it was nothing like that, just a friend hang out.

Akane Owari:

He likes hanging with her, is impressed by her skills and confidence. He's pretty chill with her, will also hype her up, he sometimes gets his hair ruined by her but he's chill with it.

Nekomaru Nidai:

Nekomaru convinces him to eat a lot. He kept saying that he's fine and then he faints. Now he's eating average amount of food after some convincing from Nekomaru (including Kaz and Mikan) now hes friends with him. He thinks he's funny. He at first was afraid of him then he was surprised by his kind-hearted personality.

Teruteru Hanamura:

Teruteru is a fan of his music, will offer him food, will say uncomfy jokes making Tenshi a little weirded out and will tell him that he does not like that. Is impressed with his cooking honestly.

Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu:

Was afraid of him first but will laugh at the fact that this guy got a baby face. He somehow got on his good side, was confused how but at least he's not on the blacklist.

Peko Pekoyama:

He's chill with her, fun to hang out honestly. They both like cute things. (which is why Fuyuhiko is chill with him)

Mahiru Koizumi:

Is okay with her at first but is honestly tired of her defending Hiyoko, though he's not gonna insult her because if he says 1 insult to her, here comes the gender shit.

Hiyoko Saionji:

Where do I even start? But like. He does NOT like her. Like when they first met, Hiyoko calls him a slut for defending Mikan. He's so close punching the fuck outta her. But either way, he will help her sometimes, he will have a calm convo with her, no matter the insults, though he will throw an insult to her back but for 1 or 2 times.

Sonia Nevermind:

He wants to be her friend but suddenly he forgot about communication. But he is impressed by her confidence and how she's a strong hearted person.

Gundham Tanaka:

Was intimated by him at first but later on, he sees him as this funny dark lord guy. Gundham calls him the Siren of the land of ice.

Imposter:

Was shocked honestly but is impressed.

Hajime Hinata:

Is super chill with him, they both will hang out alot with Kazuichi, will help him during the investigations.

Ibuki Mioda:

He vibes with her and loves her taste on music like screaming in terror that will break everyone's ears? Hell yeah

Nagito Komaeda:

Is afraid of him but can't help but feel worry for him like- are you okay? Who the hell hurt you damn?

Ryota Mitarai:

He's chill with him and is constantly worried for him (like look at this poor dude) He will hype him up for his animations but will convince him to eat and sleep

Chiaki Nanami:

..... Who's Chiaki?.....

AAAA THANK YOUUUUUU and yes, the talents can be use as a coping mechanism. But sometimes, you gotta change it. And it somehow makes sense

Like imagine getting brainwashed and then you use your talent to kill people and almost end the whole world, then you came back normal, removed the brainwashing but then hearing all the sick crap you have done using your talent? Yeah might as well just give up your talent for that.

I also have a few characters in mind that gave up on their talent

Kazuichi - ofc my fav is on the list, but like, when he's being told that he was the one who created the monokumas and the executions, he was devastated. And the more he thinks about it. The more he just. Stops.

Nekomaru - Okay. Okay hear me out- he loves to train people bc he wants them to be healthy right? Haha wait till he hears that he trains them till they die. He's probably gonna recover from that but then just the thought of the talent that you use to encourage people with turns to be deadly, he might just stop

Ibuki - First of all, her voice is sore as fuck, second of all, the fact that you brainwash people into despair by singing, just makes her ick. Sure she isn't gonna be satisfied by giving up her dreams but hey, why sing when the world is broken like your voice?

Teruteru - where do I even start? HE DID CANNIBALISM AND YA THINK HE GONNA RECOVER FROM IT??? /nm /j, though think about it. When the talent you love the most and wanting to expand it, never works out. And I be devastated when heard that I did cannablism and ate my own mother.

Sonia - I dont have to explain this. She doesn't trust herself leading people anymore. But she at least she found a new hobby

Gundham - the fact that you use animals to kill and you might've hurt them as well. Really pains him a lot, though he still loves animals and still likes pet them but will not use his talent for them. Why? Because you are no longer worthy for them.

Mikan - Finding out the fact she uses her nursing skills to kill people instead saving their lives? Upsets her and questions herself as well. She gave up on it. (ps. Hearing the name Junko will flip her off or incoherently crying and sobbing)

Hiyoko - I hate her but when the only thing you're good at has turn into something deadly, is devastating. But hey at least Mahiru and Hajime are helping her discover new things to explore, right? That's okay, RIGHT? (cries)

And that's how the "We gave up out talent" club was made! Though Hiyoko is banned from joining after the shit she did both in NWP and HPA.

I wanna let this out. Have you ever thought that the sdr2 characters just gave up their dreams after the shit they did when they were brainwashed (despite not remembering it)

Kazuichi gave up his love for machines and fixing them after hearing the horrible shit he did

OOOO THIS IS AN INTERESTING THOUGHT!!! A concept worth to think about! But there are some where doing the things as their talent came off as a coping mechanism, just imagine how just simply doing the things they aspire or what comes off as stress-relieving to them became a trigger. Its a very deep in thought what-ifs, but I do believe this is the case logically enough in post-NWP. Though there are few that could and couldn't give up on their talents merely because...

Someone like Teruteru, Kazuichi, Akane, Tanaka, Nekomaru, Ibuki, and Mahiru are all purely because the talent they have are simply much of a hobby, something they find love, comfort, and inspirational, or motivation to move forward.

Ones like Sonia, Fuyuhiko, Hiyoko, and Nagito are all born or was already given a chance to the talent itself, where their fate has been placed down since the beggining (does not end well).

And people like Mikan, The impostor, or Peko were ones being put in bad situation thus grew a talent they view in a way that was a bit unhealthy (this could apply to Nagito as well)

Every people has a different thoughts on this ofc, I'd love to write out mine but I simply just doesn't have enough time to write out all of them. Ty for sharing your thoughts!!
