Orphaned son of Mendevian crusaders, one of which was a werewolf and passed that on to him. He worships Zon-Kuthon, and worked as a priest of his before becoming a warpriest specifically. He was born an oracle though, and believes that he gets his visions from velstracs, or maybe even from Zon-Kuthon himself.

pros: he's a great cook, consent is super important to him unless he has a reason to harm you (like if you're a demon or otherwise actively trying to harm him) so you really don't have to worry about him doing Kuthonite things to you, he's big and has a soft tummy and a little bit of muscle too

cons: he will do Kuthonite things to himself and to anyone else who requests it (even if you don't want to see that), grunts when he stands up or gets out of bed like a man twice his age, can read but thinks reading is a waste of time if it's not something being done out of necessity (like he wouldn't read for pleasure), actually he really doesn't do much out of pleasure, doesn't believe in comfort

Pro or con depending on personal preference tbh but he ascends and becomes a deity

Bringing back my one old, horrific Valtiel u.sfw hc

If someone were to actually see underneath their smock there is nothing between Valtiel's legs- it is nearly perfectly smooth.

However, using something sharp (blade, claw, ect) the skin in the area could be cut- it is unlikely this would actually hurt him. The inside would be fleshy and would not bleed in that area, and there are nerve ends inside that Valtiel would be able to feel whatever is within it. Beyond that, it is likely wirey tendrils much like their tongue could come out of the area. Of course, this has never happened as Valtiel has had no purpose to do this yet, or open body up like that.

Torment without end and peace without strife suffered from the same problem- one without the other, without a comparison, they became indistinct from the other (BALANCE WAS A NECESSARY THING).

God of Ambers and Embers, he herald in what was necessary- some, the doctor that held the scalpel to final relieve a wounded pressures. Others, that same scalpel the blame for a bleed without end // WITHOUT RELIEF. Angel or demon, they were concerned not with what image their tasks painted them as.

This verse is my main verse for Valtiel outside of Silent Hill. A lot of the elements that make up what Valtiel is inside of main canon are kept, but translated to a more wide-spread pantheon than one just simply isolated to the town. They are the God / Angel of Rebirth and Healing as well as Execution and Torment, much like how they were designated these in Silent Hill lore. The Pure Land had been peaceful, or at least from what Tobirama could remember. Standing in the ephemeral fields bathing in the warm, pink-hued sunlight, eternity was at his hands. His life was over and he needed not the permission to exist.

Such peace never lasts long, does it? He’d blink and in a matter of milliseconds, his body was cold, papery, lacking the necessities of a human being ( feeling, warmth, blood ). Before him stood a human. Hair like black ink dripping unevenly from the center of his parietal; skin white like paper; and threatening gold eyes. Eyes fueled with morbid ambition. 

This was the first time he had met Orochimaru.

The second time was some time during the war— present time. Having freed himself from his own restraints, he stared down this thing. Pale reds on those same lustrous golds, searching for nothing in the man, just a gaze tidally locked on prey pinned beneath his weight, blade pressed into that white throat, beading a dark, poisonous red onto the metal. 

He could flick his wrist and be done with it, but his hand steadied there, letting the ichor color the hardwood beneath Orochimaru’s neck and into the mop of his hair. 

“You’re not worth it,” he says, flipping the kunai back into his palm,” get out of my sight.”

Oscar James Sunderland is James’s son, a product of a one night stand with Oriana (a OC, who alongside her husband Charles are a part of the Valtiel sect of the Order) born in October 1991.

He was handed over to Frank by Charles after Oriana died during childbirth. (I’ve considered the possibility that Oscar is Walter’s half-brother. Same mum, different fathers idk yet)

He’s albino, inherited from Frank (he’s albino) and Oriana. With it he’s very blind preferring contacts over glasses but keeps a pair just in case.

He also has crippling arachnophobia after being bitten by one and another crawling on his face.

He was raised by James and Mary mostly alongside Alex, who is Mary’s nephew. The couple planned to adopt Alex but Mary fell ill and lost contact with him towards the end of Mary’s life. 

During the last year of Mary’s life; a year prior to SH2, James sent Oscar to live with Frank as he couldn’t cope with caring for both Mary and Oscar.

When SH2 (1998, Oscar would be 7) happened James abruptly whisked Oscar away with to Silent Hill under the guise of seeing Mary one last time… but it was so James can commit a murder/suicide.

Oscar had no monsters of his own but did see his father’s monsters and they ignored him. This also includes the PH who was his guardian during the times that Oscar and James got separated.

They got separated in Brookhaven after Laura locked James in a room. He fought Laura to get the key back but was too late, James had been whisked off into the Otherworld so PH babysat Oscar.

The PH would also escort him through the prison level after being too scared to jump after his dad.

Oscar’s arachnophobia developed into entomophobia

After finding out the truth, James took Oscar and Laura back to his car. He left Oscar with his jacket and said his goodbyes before taking off in his car to drive it into the lake. Both sat abandoned at the entrance to the town before Travis came along and picked them.

He had every intention to take the kids to Brahms but bumped into Aubrey McLynne (OC) on the way when stopping for gas.

It was then Aubrey took over, Travis was all too happy to hand the kids to a lady. It was awkward and Laura was pretty chatty.

The McLynnes ended up adopting Laura. They tried to reunite Oscar with Frank but Frank felt he was better off with them. They looked rich, surely they could get the help Oscar needed. (Frank was wrong about getting therapy) So the McLynnes adopted Oscar, they were taught how to fight, both doing kickboxing/boxing from 8 and 9.

Frank and Oscar’s relationship greatly suffered and were barely communicating

In 2004, the family moved from Brahms to Chamberlain when the kids were in the 8th grade (Oscar 13 and Laura 14).

It was then that Oscar met Heather, they were classmates before becoming friends (Heather is a grade behind due her stunted education)

In 2005, Oscar and Frank reconnected thanks to Murphy who had moved into the apartments. Murphy befriended Frank and offered to taxi Oscar to and from his home. The long drives enabled Murphy and Oscar to develop a father and son relationship

Between here and SH3, 2007. Oscar, 14 who once had a gap tooth now has upper front partial dentures after smashing his teeth in. He was trying to impress Heather while on a dirtbike… failed miserably.

And whilst working on a car with Murphy, Oscar’s right ring and pinky fingers were crushed under a wheel severing his pinky while degloving the other. They were amputated. It was a few months prior to SH3, so he was 16. (Oscar also got a DeLorean for his 16th birthday as his first car)

He also has a talent for acting and got the lead role in their school’s drama club production of Footloose which got Heather to fall for him.

As SH3 happened, Oscar and Heather were on their first date at a mall then a movie, possibly to see either The Mist or Paranormal Activity…. They had their own horror movie instead.

During Silent Hill, he gets a lovely cut on his forehead after Heather throws the seal of Metatron at him. He scared her with his red eyes. He also does get injured after cracking his ribs from taking the brunt of the fall from the rollercoaster for Heather. 

He also gets a bisexual awakening from Vincent after he tends to the cut on his forehead.

Oscar also became a dad to Harper, a baby that appeared after god was slain. (Basically a reincarnation of Alessa)

After SH3, Heather moves into Oscar’s place until they graduated school at 18. It was also at 18 that he was made to work for his adoptive father, Russell. Russell is the drug warlord/don/head of a gang and he made Oscar his personal hitman. He orders him to kill a person, under duress that if he doesn't, his family will be killed. Oscar did as he was told but also pointed the gun at Russell in anger, because of this the boy was beaten within an inch of his life.

From his injuries, Oscar developed nystagmus (eye twitching)

After this, Oscar with Heather and Harper moved to Ashfield into the apartments. Although he still worked for Russell (he had 20 hits before the crash). He reunites with Alex, who Travis brought back. He also married Heather at 25 and fathering a child (Anya) with her at 26 via IVF (and Eileen also carried her)

Oh and he runs a charity that helps Ashfield homeless/poverish population purely self-serving, for he has a guilty conscious.

actually i'm going to just make a post for everyone. SO you want to get into funger because it's trending. i have made a relatively spoiler free content warning list for anyone that might need it

important to note, these games are horror and 18+. they aren't designed for a younger audience. i won't tell you what you can and can't do but the game is age restricted for a reason

tl;dr / just give me the general stuff:

sexual violence, dismemberment as a core mechanic, gore, cults, religious violence, in-universe transphobia, one instance of the r and q slurs, body horror, regular sexual content, nudity, drug abuse, child endangerment, hallucinations, full-frontal nudity, fascism

fear and hunger 1 specific:

child endangerment: you can recruit a young girl as a party member. she can be hurt and killed in battle. you can also exchange her to multiple npcs; in particular, pocketcat wants to kill and eat her to prevent something from happening, but his dialogue has pedophilic implications. nas'hrah also implies that the new god valtiel is a pedophile.

sexual violence: several coin-flip attacks may result in a cutscene of your character being assaulted by the enemy.

gore: several instances. significantly a tunnel made of flesh and a required bossfight being a man who has flayed himself alive.

consensual sex: you can choose to participate in an orgy to replenish your health and mind. you can also choose to ask another party member (EXCLUDING the girl, moonless, the demon kid and nas'hrah) to perform a marriage with you, which involves having sex on a ritual circle.

cults: the bunnymask and wolfmask cults. one is engaged in a constant orgy and the other in the 'feast' (autoerotic cannibalism).

nudity: the vast majority of enemies in this game will be full-frontal. you can sometimes target breasts and penises as limbs to sever.

animal endangerment: you can recruit moonless. she's a wolf but acts more like a dog. she can be injured, killed and sacrificed.

substance abuse: your character will need to either drink alcohol or smoke tobacco/opoids during the game. it is not optional. the girl also needs to given these.

body horror: specific focus on mutations/transformations.

racism: d'arce attempts to convert the cavedwellers (allegorical-british people who became stuck in the dungeon and returned to primitivism) to allegorical christianity and is derogatory towards them when they refuse.

religious violence: you can sacrifice party members to gain affinity with the god of destruction. a man is shown crucified by priests, and it is also a significant part of enki's backstory.

bugs: there are a lot of insects in the game, and 'mastery over insects' is a learnable skill

suicide: valtiel hangs himself when you defeat him.

fear & hunger 2 specific:

fascism: the main antagonists are a direct parallel to the nazis.

in-universe transphobia: one of the playable characters, marina, is a trans woman. her father will misgender her.

r slur: if you play as o'saa, and do not skip the intro, nas'hrah will ask if you 'are r*****ed'

q slur: if you play as daan, karin will call you 'queer eyepatched foreigner'. it is probably meant in the other sense, though

stalking: samarie a character with obsessive tendencies who has formed a parasocial relationship with marina due to her mind-reading capabilities. if you play as marina and sleep in the mayor's manor, you can catch her watching you sleep.

body horror: moonscorching is a core mechanic. you can see the mutations it causes happening as a game over screen. villagers afflicted will tear their skin off.

substance abuse: mind mechanic persists from first game. heroin is added. if you play as levi, or recruit him, he will have withdrawals and require you to regularily give it to him for him to be useful in fights.

suicide: one of the contestants will kill himself before the night of day 3 to prevent moonscorching.

unreality: dream sequences. frequent hallucinations of an important character as part of the story. 'other side' of reality can be accessed. if you play as daan, pocketcat will also appear to speak to him.

ableism: internalised. olivia, a playable character, is wheelchair bound and implied to resent her condition. her moonscorched form emphasizes this ('ive been this way forever')

sexual assault: only one coin flip cutscene against a very rare enemy. additionally, if you lose to needles, a cutscene may occur where the player character will experience a 'massive orgasm' via a ghost-like figure and can continue from there, rather than getting a gameover. if you play as abella and sleep in certain locations, caligura will attempt to rape you. it triggers a battle where he is naked from the waist down (you can target his dick!)

cults: samarie is a victim of a cult called the ninth circle. there are also enemies called owl cultists and a late game boss is explicitly a cultist.

ptsd: multiple characters affected by war, significantly levi, who has developed a heroin addiction because of it.

kidnapping: marina will be kidnapped under certain circumstances. nothing happens to her though

child endangerment: levi is a child soldier. evidence of abuse in the orphanage

nudity: caligura as mentioned before. a boss will also go full-frontal on you.

i think i got everything! these are some really great horror games but i can't in good conscience recommend them without making people STRONGLY aware of its contents. available on itch.io and steam!

What each game / game type my muses would play

Kasaen: Strategy, horror, and fps. No specific games but I think it would be funny if she was usually this joke-y individual until you put her in something like fortnite or cod or something and shes chewing you out for every dumb move. Also wizard101

Hermaeus: TES / BG3 cause it absolutely would be a meta motherfucker like that.

Ome.luum: Survival games, but specifically for aspects like collecting materials and exploring. Probably loves minecraft. Also wizard101 too.

Gideos: Pirate games. Or GTA. Things where he can heist and pillage cause the grind never stops

Valtiel: Surgeon Simulator. Inscryption. I have no mouth. I'll explain no more you just must understand the vision.

Slate: They play a lot of multiplayer silly games like Content Warning, Don't Starve Together, Lethal Company, Palworld, etc, or mmos, but play it alone cause they say that's how real gamers do it. Realistically they wanna play with others but getting close to people scary cause they could get hurt again.

Chaos: Horror or simulators where they can enact crimes against nature. Stuff like Species: Artificial Life, Plague inc, Spore. Huge fan of Subnautica too.

Renzo: GTA, racing games, also feels like a Scifi enjoyer. Totally plays content warning as well.

Smile: Keep this dog away from a computer (its playing Pony Island, Eversion, all those 'looks cute but actually evil' games).

Green Mage: BG3, neverwinter, pathfinder- if its dnd or dnd adjacent, Green is playing them. Also likes Jacksbox.
